I received excellent service at The Computer Mechanics. Not only was it a quick turnaround time, but the requested service and repair were done impeccably. Dealing with Les and Justin was an absolute pleasure. Their technical expertise and experience is evident from the very first phone call and although a couple of technical issues were difficult to resolve, they persevered until they were fixed. The whole organization is well-run; they are very customer-focused and patiently explain the processes that they use to solve technical issues. They also provide excellent advice and answered all my questions about various software, etc. I knew I was in good hands with them from the very start. Lisa, on reception, is awesome, too! You cannot go wrong with The Computer Mechanics - the best computer repair shop I've ever been to (and I've been to many). You cannot go wrong with The Computer Mechanics!

I was adjusting my laptop's lid one night when one of the hinges decided to assassinate itself and shoot plastic shards flying out of the side of the case. I couldn't close the lid, nor open it further, without nearly cracking my screen. Someone from Canada Computers recommended I check out this shop to try and get it fixed in a timely manner (CC told me I'd have to give up the computer for at least a few days, and it's my only option for work), and this place delivered! The entire back bezel piece had to be replaced due to the laptop's design (thanks, MSI hinges >:( ), and there were no parts available locally. They offered me a choice of different parts for shipping time vs. cost, and patched the computer up so that I could take it home and continue using it while waiting for the part to ship from the States. When the part got here, they were able to fix it same day (in a couple of hours, actually), so I had very little downtime despite the significant physical problem the laptop had. Pricing was very fair, and I felt like I got great value for the cost to fix the laptop. Everyone in the shop was also friendly and professional! Will definitely be back here if I ever have another hardware issue or would like to upgrade the internals etc.

My most recent service of upgrading to Windows 10 and installing a new hard drive was remarkable (x2 systems!). Extremely quick, and plugged them back in and continued working seamlessly! I was having trouble with my laptop and called The Computer Mechanics as places like Best Buy said it would take a week for them to diagnose and fix the issue. TCM was quick, professional and helpful. They followed safety protocol during COVID and were able to get my PC up and running in a day. After picking it up and returning home, I noticed similar issues with it. I called them the next day and we were able to get it resolved remotely. Thank you Computer Mechanics!
