I needed my laptop fixed and didn't know where to go. I did a google search and Compu-sac came up along with some other places. Although the ratings were similar I picked Compu-sac because they had over 55 people comment on their experience compared to the others that only had a few people commenting. I'm glad I did, I dealt with Chioma. She was very professional and knowledgeable, kept me up to date with the repair. I am very happy with the work and the service, also a 1 year warranty with the work that was done. I highly recommend Compu-sac.

My desktop computer would not start so I contacted Compu-Sac for repair. Chioma was excellent to work with!! She explained the diagnosis process, possible issues and solutions for me in great detail. She stressed that she wanted to keep me informed throughout the process and called each day to update me on the progress with my computer. The turn around time was within the 3 days that she had indicated when I first dropped it off. Pricing was fair and customer service was great. Compu-sac Inc is all about computers! They have perfect computing skills and isn't it amazing to get one year warranty on all products and services purchased from them! You really don't need to buy a brand new computer, Mac, Imac or laptop because those manufacturers also give one year warranty on brand new products. Moreover, from their end, repairing makes sense! I am loving Compu-sac Inc, I love their customer service! You feel welcomed and appreciated when you call or visit them. I like that they offer extra perks to the main problem that brought you to them. That is, when one comes in for a hardware repair, you get extra software tune-up. It all makes sense to offer a full package at standard rate. They are all about computers! Quite happy with them! They have consistently offered in-house printer repair and setup, Internet and modem setup and computer, laptop repairs for me! I will surely recommend them.

After 3 years with my precious MacBook, I was devastated when my Motherboard broke down. Thankfully, my Mom had a friend who experienced in computers - the great Chioma. She was very professional and took the time to thoroughly explain any questions I had. She gives customer service and was very knowledgeable and friendly. My laptop was repaired within a short time frame and is back to working good as new! I'm happy as can be! Alot of problems. 1. They promised to call me within 72 hours for a diagnosis and a estimate on the cost. I waited a week before having to call them since they never called me. 2. 2 weeks later with no communication, I called again and they asked if I was going to authorize them to fix stuff, which i agreed to, and then they called back 3 days later saying they called the wrong person and that my computer wasn't even being looked at yet. 3. Initially replaced the screen due to me saying "my screens not working" and them not actually diagnosing the computer, this added 2 weeks to the repair time for no reason. 4. They had my laptop for close to 2 months and they only did 3 days of actual work on it because i called and demanded to talk to management and they worked very fast from there. 5. There was no discount or lower price due to poor service or any head aches caused along the route. 6. Laptop was giving back to me in horrible shape. had a lot of black marks on it, and the logo on the top is all scratched. WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. Bring it to anywhere else, this place is horribly unprofessional and should not be trusted with any of your technology that you spent money on. Avoid at all costs.

This is the second time I have been to Compu-sac. Their customer service is remarkable and commendable. A good place to fix all your devices! They're also an Authorized Independent Repair centre for Apple Canada. You can check on Apple's website to confirm their IRP status . I will definitely recommend them.

Chioma, is a very bright and talented lady with lots of patience, she won't let you down I promise that she'll go more than a mile to get your machine running.. I have worked for her for over 6 months, I could not believe the positive attitude she has towards her job, she doesn't just wake up and go to work, she comes in with a professional attitude and leaves her family stuff situations at home. I my self used to work with her, I can tell you right now this person is the only person you want to see. Do not go to Best Buy, as you wont be looked at with the same attitude. Compu-Sac how ever will deal with all matters in person, I can more than assure you that this lady will use name parts to get your machine running.. I had to quit my job because of some personal issues.. But I can assure you that this lady will take care of you in the highest priority. Compu-sac had great service and understanding of computers as well as computer related issues. When I had trouble with my external HDD, this was the only place that understood what I was talking about and they were able to tell me the range of how much it could cost me (depending on the damage) and what I would be facing. Brian was very helpful about what I would need to upgrade my computer and the estimated cost was accurate. The shop stays in touch by phone, text or email while they have the computer. Recently I have had some mechanical issues, so I have taken it back for that. The location is convenient to my home and place of work. I try, when I can, to support local businesses.

My two years old laptop wouldn't turn on. I gave my laptop to Compu-Sac (Ajax) for repair. Technician was very nice and took my laptop along with a $50 down payment, she said that she would be running thorough diagnostics and would be able to tell us the problem in a 2 days. After 2 days they needed more time because they were running “thorough” diagnostics. The next day they informed that it was a motherboard problem and gave us a quote of $270 and that they would need another 2 days, After 2 days they were not able to fix the problem, instead the technician said that the problem was not fixable, but still asked for few more days. I decided to go in store and talk to them. In store, they explained that the laptop was beyond repair. The only way to fix it would be to replace the motherboard, but the laptop was limited edition and the motherboard could not be found online and if I were to purchase the motherboard straight from Asus, it could be triple the original quote ($270 x 3). She then offered me a new laptop at a “discounted” price, but the prices being absurdly high, I refused and left with my laptop which had newly acquired scratches (probably damaged while they tried fixing the laptop) all over the aluminum top. Not to mention that I did not get my $50 because that was the diagnostic fees. Once I was home, I decided to open the laptop myself. After opening the laptop, I saw that they (Compu-Sac) had ripped off these (about 3) small black chips from the motherboard and then made a poor attempt to tape them back on (with normal scotch tape). I called Asus Canada and ask them if they could fix my laptop. Within 5 days I got my laptop back in full functioning capability for a total of $230 (less that than the Compu-Sac quote) including parts, labour, shipping and tax. Compu-sac not only further damaged my laptop by ripping off parts of the motherboard, but also scratching the pristine aluminum top. They also falsely advised me to not send the laptop in for further repair because it was not fixable and the repair could cost triple their quoted price. Though, Asus was able to fully repair and clean my laptop for under Compu-Sac’s original quoted price. I regret sending my laptop to Compu-Sac for repair, if I had sent my laptop to Asus directly, they may have been able to fix the initial problem rather than replace the motherboard. I

Chioma of the Ajax office has always been business-like in our dealings. This is the 2nd year that I have utilized her expertise to remedy problems on my laptops. Last year she corrected problems on my granddaughter's laptop and supplied batteries for both our laptops. This year, my laptop was running painfully slow, so I consulted Chioma again and listened to her suggestions for remedies. I really wish I could give no stars at all because this place was absolute terrible in every way possible. My brother gave in his laptop for repair and it took about 2.5 weeks for them to tell us it is a hardware failure. After the $360 repair, we had problems with the laptop again and called Compu Sac because the owner said they give one year warranty. She was talking so rudely like it was my fault that the laptop was not working again. So I took my business elsewhere to a certified apple shop and the technician looked at it there and said there is a hardware failure. So to my knowledge I don't know what they did with my laptop because I'm having the same problem again...This place really didn't fix anything at all and just took my money and made it seem like my fault. I would never do business here again. And please for those who want to save money just get it done the right way and do not waste your money here. You do not want to do business with a place that steals your money and tries to make it seem like it is your fault. WORST EXPERIENCE I EVER HAD.

I experienced a problem with my desktop computer prior to the Christmas holidays and brought it into Compu-Sac. In less than a day the computer problem was resolved. Unfortunately the ice storm created additional havoc and again I brought my computer to Compu-Sac. Professionally and well within their quoted timeline, my computer was repaired back to its original state and is now working better than when I purchased it. The people I dealt with, Brian and Chioma, were both very professional and knowledgeable and took the time to fully answer any questions or concerns I had. I would certainly recommend them and will continue to use them in the future for all my computer needs.

i have a 2-year old laptop that just suddenly stopped working. Trying to find a good and reliable repair shop in Ajax, and sure enough, found one in Compu-Sac. Professional, knowledgeable, friendly and excellent customer service. I was having problems installing a new graphics card on a desktop computer so I asked for these guys to take a look. Long story short the owner is rude and lies like its her job. Terrible customer service and communication skills. They held my computer somewhere other than their location for some reason and kept telling me I could come pick it up once i left a 5-star review on google. I didn't give them my password because all i needed was the device to display to a monitor.. they reset my password and put a new one and tried to tell me that I forgot my password... I also received my graphics card back with a broken wing on one of the fans which was a great (The hardware guy had a smirk on his face when he was telling me this). I would not be surprised if half of their good reviews on here are paid/fake, probably why they are still in business. ALL IN ALL: They probably make barely any money so they have to break your stuff so you will come back again. Also the owner loves to get reviews removed on here by using googles terms. Do yourself a favour and avoid this scam of a legitimate business. PS: These guys have all the time in the world to reply to reviews and work hard to get them removed but when it comes to doing what they supposed to do there is no no time

Do yourself a favour and get your computer repaired anywhere else! If you look at the Google reviews from lowest to highest you’ll see a very common theme throughout (poor customer service, unprofessional, and extremely slow in determining problem), I had the same experience. It’s quite entertaining to read the owners responses to the negative reviews. Her messages have misused words, poor spelling and the grammar, plus absolutely no accountability for the poor service level. I wish I had read these reviews before ever dealing with this terrible company! What a gross waste of my time.

I booked in for a MacBook battery replacement at the start of the week. The lady called me back to confirm the booking and details, so I cleared my schedule for a day without my laptop. I showed up at 9am for a same day battery change, but the store is closed. The lady on the phone told me there was a problem in their Markham store and she would have called but didn't have my number. I know this not to be true. We're new to Ajax and I was keen to shop local. I won't attempt to use Compu-sac again.

very friendly staff... charged me over $100 to just check my cpu... not sure the industry standard to check what is wring but after 8 business days I had to call in to see what was happening. nothing. then another 2 business days after stated the motherboard was dead. 10 business days to let me know. and nothing was done for that 100$ ..no other info no other option. zero stars if it would have let me... good karma though I go to centennial college and they had a program to check my computer and was able to find me an alternate solution same day.

This was the worst experience I have ever had. I dropped off my Dell Laptop for repair and also brought along an Acer laptop. The lady at the front told me it would cost $50 to do a diagnostic test on both and I told her not to worry about it on the Acer one. Even though I said don't do the diagnostic on it, she was able to fix it (it was a switch that was off that was preventing the battery from starting up). She then told me, even though it took 2 minutes she has to charge me $50 for the diagnostic. I told her I will drop off my Dell and to transfer that charge to that one and she agreed as if she was doing me a favour...even though there was clearly a sign that said FREE 15 minute diagnostic, which she later agreed was a mistake on her part and that the owner should remove that sign. She then told me it doesn't seem to be a hardware issue and that all of the data and programs should be as is. Based on this, I left the laptop with Compu-sac. She then called me to tell me it would cost $150 dollars to fix....although this was quite a bit as I would essentially pay $200 for a laptop that only cost $400 when I bought it 4 years ago, I said go ahead but once again clarified that I would not lose any data as I have lots of personal data on it. After they repaired the laptop, I went in and she told me to check and Adobe, Microsoft Office and many other pieces of software were removed. She told me she did not guarantee this would be and began telling me irrelevant things such as they fix 3000 dollar laptops and that she is a certified technician, which had nothing to do with anything. In the end, there was no point in arguing so I said I will take it as is. She then said it costs 199.99...50 more then she quoted me on over the phone. After a bit of back and forth, she adjusted the bill to say $199 - $50 for diagnostic...which you are told you get back in the first place if you choose them for repair. I will never ever come back to this place. They have the worst service, do not deliver on their promises and over charge for services. Do yourself a favour and pick a different spot to repair your laptop or PC in Durham.

My dell laptop would not turn on so I googled "computer repair ajax" & found Compu-Sac which had great ratings & reviews. Spoke to Chioma who was the manager and technical analyst. She was very accomodating and explained the whole process. Found out it was the motherboard and Chioma had my laptop running within a week. Being a real estate agent I understand the importance of great customer service and Chioma provided just that which is lacking quite a bit in all industries. You can get your laptop fixed anywhere but finding a place close to home that does that with excellent customer service & decent pricing is rare. I will definitely go back and use their services again.

The owner has already attempted to delete this review once. 2nd posting. This is simply one of the worst retail/customer experiences I have ever had. I HAD TO INVOLVE THE DURHAM POLICE!!!! 1 star is way too much to award this horrendous business. I had contacted who I believe is either the owner or manager of the Ajax storefront to discuss bringing in my laptop. They let me know I must schedule an appointment to receive a free diagnostic. I had dropped off my laptop a few days later at 5:30PM and all seemed fine as I was told it can take up to a day. I had received a call the next day at approximately 5:30PM letting me know the possible price of repair (Approx $250.00). I let the worker know I would not like to proceed due to the cost and would like to pick-up my device and asked if I could do so before they close. Immediately the worker became abrasive over the phone stating I need to schedule an appointment to gather my property. I questioned this briefly as it appeared odd that for a 2 minute hand-off I needed another appointment, however, I understand they may need to prep and so on. After having the worker tell me I am not grateful for their time and efforts, I surpassed her rudeness and let her know to schedule the pick-up for the next day at 5:30pm. I show up to the store the next day at 5:25pm, and called the business to verify my appointment (as stated on window of store for COVID policy upon entry). I had called 8 times and no answer. I then walked up to the window at approximately 5:28pm to knock , only to have the worker come answer the door where she proceeded to let me know that the door is "open" even though this is contradicting their own policy in terms of entering before calling, and that I am "2 minutes" early (unnecessarily rude). The lady presented a very smug, rude, and pretentious attitude. I then proceeded (not in a completely polite manner due to growing frustration) to ask for her to give me my device (at this point I have not cursed or swore what-so-ever). The worker proceed to berate me as if I was worthless and wrong for asking my own property, asking me where am I from and who raised me. After insisting for her to give me device and sign me out, she continued to lollygag and take her time walking around the store in order to further frustrate me and delay the process. This encounter resulted in me having to call Durham Regional Police in order for them to intervene and have my laptop returned to me. Never should a customer have to call police to retrieve their OWN PROPERTY when no money is owed. I also took a picture of the contract the worker made me sign, where then, she stated she will sue me and not return my device. End result: Police intervened and had my device returned to me after an hour and a half of wasting my time and energy on a despicable business representative. I just had purchased a new additional hard drive for my Dell Optiplex 790 desktop. But when I went to to mount it, I needed mounting brackets. The original hard drive is mounted with a Blue plastic adapter sleeve which makes it easy to install. I did a quick google search for Dell parts and found Compu-sac. I went in to the store and asked if they had this hard drive sleeve. Chioma Akinfenwa Technical Analyst; she provided me with a perfectly good used hard drive sleeve for free of charge. Now that is Excellent Customer service, I will gladly recommend them to all !!! Thanks again

My experience at this store has been far below the "excellent" reviews I relied on from Google Reviews. Not only was I misguided and given incorrect diagnostics for my computer issue (every time I took it in may I add), I later found out from 3 different retailers who looked over the exact same issue (which kept reoccurring from Compu-Sacs supposed fix), that the correct fix would have been far less expensive and less time consuming. My attempt to resolve issues with the female worker at the store have been absolute hell. She not only demeaned me the whole time and spoke down to me, but wouldn't offer any solution nor monetary refund; the least she could have done is apologized, especially since she spoke to me like that in front of another customer. At the end, I didn't get the free antivirus she said she installed, which I paid for (I kept getting prompted for usernames and keycodes days within receiving the computer back) plus I got a non genuine copy of Windows 7 installed back on the laptop (lets hope Windows 8 is as good as its' advertisements which I now have to purchase out of my own pocket). I thought stores like this are supposed to respect your privacy and offer honest service; not take advantage of someone to the point where repairs and service fees amount to more than the cost of the laptop. Since I couldn't resolve my issues with the store and to top it off got a non genuine copy of Windows 7 installed, I am considering taking this issue to the BBB. Honestly, if I at least got treated nicely, especially in front of others, I wouldn't be so upset. At least when you go to a big store retailer rather than a privately owned store there are customer service standards in place.

The staff was very professional and knowledgable. I had no reservations about the repairs being done to my laptop. I highly recommend this store to others. They truly are all about computers!

Brought my commercial microwave in for repairs, the owner chioma was so good, she did the repairs on time and just about delivered it has I had told her the urgent nature of the matter. wonderful lady, great customer service, will definitely do business with her again.

Absolutely amazing service. My Macbook had water damage and I needed somewhere to fix this at a reasonable price and equally importantly, a quick turnaround time as I'm a freelancer and need my computer for work. Compu-sac was able to have it back to me within a couple days, for a reasonable price. Couldn't have asked for more! Super nice, knowledgable and reasonable.

When you talk about Great Service, I must say Compu-sac knows all about that! The staff there were quite friendly, knowledgeable, technical. My computer virus was recognized straight away by the staff. They are knowledgeab le and courteous. I would recommend this store for parts, service or sales. It was nice not having to deal with a big box computer store and feel like your just a number.

WORST customer service ever. Brought in my tablet for broken lcd screen. Charged $50 to just have it looked at. Had to call for a follow-up. Was told would be ready in a few days. Waited. Then was told that a part had to be ordered. Waited. Then told it worked but they had to "check to ensure it worked properly to guarantee warranty" which apparently needed to take a few days. Waited. Then was told it needed a cable. Waited. Then was told they had to order the cable and had to wait five days to find out when the cable would come in. Then told it would take four weeks. I ended up taking my tablet back and brought it to another place who told me in five minutes what was wrong with it, what it would cost to fix it and that it would be ready in five days. FIVE MINUTES to tell me what was wrong with it and when it would be ready!!! It took Compu-sac 2.5 WEEKS (and they never actually told me what was wrong with it just gave excuse after excuse as to why they needed more time)....Oh and my invoice for the diagnostics charge was printed on the back of a lease agreement with a landlord by the way. Totally unprofessional.
