There were a lot of hidden fees they weren't upfront about. There's a fee for them to even look at your computer with a 3 month wait time and no guarantee they will actually do anything with it. When they found the part I needed I paid for it upfront, but when the repair was completed a couple months later and I came to pick up my laptop they said I still owed them money, despite already paying the service fee and and for the part. I will never come here again. They are slow, condescending, and somehow overstaffed despite not being able to complete repairs in a timely fashion.

Absolutely terrible service. The only reason this is even bothering getting two stars is because the staff I personally dealt with were friendly, helpful and competent. I had taken my Laptop in for the hinges to be replaced. Understandably, I was told it would take a couple of weeks to order. This was fine. But here I am, 2 months later, 20 or so minutes after I got off the phone with them. I was told the parts still hadn't even reached head office. If you need something fixed, I would suggest a friend or another place entirely.

Do not visit this location. Worst customer service. I wanted to return one unopened item but they refused to do that. Their return policy very bad, unrealistic. The staff are very helpful and they always have what I’m looking for. I went in for a nice mouse, and they had the Logitech MX Master 2S, which is exactly what I had hoped to get! They also had a large variety of mousepads. I was also looking for a way to get Ethernet to my room and a staff member pointed me to an Ethernet over Power device, which I didn’t even know about. I’ll probably still just get a long Ethernet cord, but the suggestion was nice.

I've shopped at other Canada Computer stores and online in the past and have been very happy. This was my first time at the Kingston store and I had many detailed questions to find the best personal laptop and accessories that day within my budget given a few specific requirements I had. Staff and service. The staff I interacted with were absolutely a pleasure to deal with, very knowledgable on the products they carried and just computer specs in general. Their professionalism was equally impressive. A couple weeks after purchase, I was back for a quick service call and once again, absolutely top notch after sale service. Product. As for the new laptop and couple accessories after two weeks use, excellent as well. The laptop and accessories I choose, based on their recommendations, is exceeding my expectations. Price. I walked out well under budget and given product performance, I have to say value for the dollar is 5 stars without question. Overall, I highly recommend this store and I will be going here for my next business laptop as well, likely within the year. Thanks Canada Computers staff!

So don't buy from this company... Unreal that I can't exchange something I just bought.. I bought this adapter for my wife's laptop so she can set it up to a larger screen at home. I plugged it in and nothing happened... Took me a while then I noticed the small fray in the connection piece. So because the package it comes in is clear... The employees apparently check to see if any damage is already on the product before it leaves the store.. That doesn't happen. So they take absolutely no blame for any damage to the product and its all my fault. I don't care about the 35$.. It's the fact that we are all liars and we must of damaged the product. I think a company like yours could have a better policy when it comes to returns.. Unreal.. I'll never be back to this store at any location. Sad you run a business this way

We bought a computer from this location and we have had nothing but issues with it. We have brought it in to get fixed for the same issues alone 3 times and still to this day we are having the same issues because they have not changed or fixed anything. After leaving the computer turned off over night (minimum 4 hours) with everything still plugged in it will not turn on in the morning. In order to get the computer to turn on you have to unplug everything and plug it back in. The Tech has always said that he has never been able to recreate the issues. That is a lie because one of the employees told us he could one time and the Tech took apart the computer only to put some paste or glue on the inside or something. If The Tech is unable to recreate the issue any other time that is because he cannot follow simple instructions. We tell everyone every time we go in how to recreate the issue but the tech cannot seem to remember this. He turns it on and off every hour and after I tell him to leave it off and plugged in over night he says '"I'll do that, I'll leave it on all night." The Tech told us that we should just leave the computer on all the time...we shouldn't have to and shouldn't have this issue. We told a manager our issue and he just laughed at us and said the power supply would be changed and the computer returned at the end of the day. They kept the computer that time fore 4 days and didn't change a thing. We were told by 2 people we could have the computer sent away but then when we brought it in to have it sent away they said we couldn't. DO NOT use this store if you want good customer service, repair, or a product that works!!

They are selling second hand graphics card as new. I ordered one Rx 580 from website and drove 100km to pickup but they brought out an opened, secondhand card. I was so disappointed. The manager told me No discount No addition warranty No anything, so I have no choice but leave with anger. I don’t know how come a such big company like CC can do this.

This has become my go-to computer/tech store over the last 3 years. I've had 2 great computer builds form them. They have been invaluable in providing advice and recommendations on parts and product quality when I can't figure out the best choice to make. Ordering online, calling ahead, and purchasing directly in store are all very efficient and quick ways to get the tech you need quickly. (if it's not an iPhone, I got it here, great store with great staff)

They wouldnt accept a return for an ink cartridge that didn't work. They only accept returns for "their own products", so I would recommend Staples or Best Buy if you have the option, just in case you need to return something.

i purchased a motherboard and at the time of purchase i was told that all i need for a return if something was wrong was the unit itself, almost immediately i was getting no post issues from the Vram and when i finally got time to take it back i was told i needed the box, the screws, and everything that came with it. when i tried explaining to them what i was told when i bought the unit they just shrugged me off. staff clearly isnt trained on actual company policy leading to false information, and staff failed to honor what i was told even though it was their fault i was misinformed

as I am resting my wrist and mouse on their own separate pads that I have purchased at the CC Kingston location, I decided such a review is relevant. I had just come back from Thunder Bay and made my way to the store Friday Sept. 23... I was commenting on the Great savings offered on Cable prices compared to box stores available up North, and Praising CC as a definite "Good Store". I am a little up beat for Some people... As I was looking at a random shelf ( harddrives in the back ) two of the employees I had conversed with were a few isles behind me, the one said to the other "He probably does that at every store!".. Only 10 feet I clearly heard, and turned around to see them both looking at Me. They turned to slowly shuffle into the back room that was in front of them... I re-shelved my cable to purchase and left not happy. I do not like to be treated like an idiot, and then talked about while I am still right there.. fk sake I hate my favourite store's employees leaving me with Mixed and Hurt feelings. Why do staff do this, to customers that are being Polite.

COVID-19 return policy does not make sense. I tried to return a phone screen protector that I simply opened the box to check the size ( not removing it from the packaging). Not a bad place to get computers, or parts. My personal experiences have been relatively good. I should preface this by saying I know what I want before I go in, and I'm knowledgeable about computers. I buy from websites online and, if you include shipping on parts they're fairly competitively priced.

Went in for a ram upgrade with my computer in perfect working condition, get told it would take one hour to complete, told it would be done same day. Comes back next day (24hrs later), computer hasn’t even been started yet, comes back end of that day(3ish he’s later) still not done, running tests on the ram. 24hrs after second visit (48hrs after first), has to call to find out about computer they’ve had sitting around for a couple hours at least, is told hard drive is failing now after they attempted the upgrade, they then try to tell us that before anything was started the hard drive was failing.(if so why not tell us when we came it and they were running the tests?). Now I’ve spent $124.48 on the ram upgrade that won’t even happen now, and I’m being told that we’ll have to pay an extra $200 for the problem they created. NEVER go to this company for anything(especially this store) they’ll break you computer and blame you while talking down to you and making you seem like your worthless and know absolutely nothing when it comes to computers.

Staff for years has been phenomenal. every member are very knowledgeable of the products they carry and are never forcing the most expensive item in your face. I knew nothing about building computers and with the help from pretty much each employee I was able to put together the perfect build I've been searching for. service department is just as helpful. honest, reliable and very capable when it comes to repairs. Return policy is very straight forward yet that wont stop them from going a little extra mile for what seems to be nothing more than providing genuine customer satisfaction, if you're honest with them and in reasonable limits. Overall great staff, amazing prices and my favorite place to shop.

Do not go to their repair store at any cost. Their staff is not welcoming, their customer service is more than poor. I had the worst repair store experience of my life there, I've been waiting for two months for my computer to NOT get repaired so I finally asked for reimbursement and chose another repair store. I'm just about to head there again for the second time this week to spend some serious money. This will be the second system purchased there. The experience of the sales staff, the friendliness are better than any of the big box stores because it's genuine. Why is it that the same people have been working there for the five years I've been going? I HATE the wait times too, I'll grant you that. The woman at the cash is very slow. On the other hand, the people that work with the customers more than make up for it. They really should try to figure out a better way of processing payments etc- this is the 21 century after all. CC is my first and second choice for hardware and supplies. Only then will I venture to a big box store. It's too bad that Google allows drive by reviews. If you have a complaint you should at least have the guts to sign your name.

Bought a motherboard for my PC from here. When I purchased I also purchased their extended warranty, which they said that if there was any issue I could bring it back and they'd exchange it for the same product. A year later my PC is having some issues that I narrow down to being an issue with the motherboard (every other part worked perfectly in my brother's PC.). I take the motherboard back, and the manager claims that was never their policy and that they would send it to the manufacturer to have it repaired instead. Annoying, but it was my best option. I get a call a week later saying they've completed their testing and that there is no issue and it won't be sent to the manufacturer. Great! I take out my temporary motherboard I had borrowed and put mine back in...still broken. It probably sat on their shelf for a week and then they gave it back.

I purchased a good ASUS laptop from this location but they never mentioned they don’t do any laptop repairs at this location and I was referred to the Whitby location which also doesn’t do repairs and then sent to Markham headquarters. Beware this company does not provide service locally. I am now waiting one month for a reply after paying a $ 56.49 diagnostic fee and we know what needs repaired. Do not recommend neighborhood friends. Buyer beware.

I commonly build my own pc's and get my parts from Canada Computers, I built two computers on the same weekend, both an AMD and an Intel Build, My AMD was flawless with not issue, my INTEL I had a few warning codes, I tried for about a week trying to diag the problem. I thought there was something I might have done wrong. I dropped it off for the Oshawa service department to look at it. They spent a lot time but figured it out. There was a problem with the cables from the case. They were fast and kept me up to date on the what was going on, I would like to Thank Dan for all the hard work.

I went into the Oshawa location and was looking into getting a new graphics card for my computer. I know little about computers but did do a little looking online. As soon I got into the store I was greeted and asked if I needed a hand. The sales associate then brought me over to the graphics card to talk to a gentleman by the name of Mike. Mike is super knowledgeable and extremely nice. When I got there he was helping another customer and he greeted me right away and said he would be with me in a minute. After finishing up with his customer he help me pick out my new card. I asked a ton of questions witch he answered all my questions with confidence! We purchased a monitor from them over 3 weeks ago, took it home and it was defective it had an internal crack, packed it right up and took it back for an exchange. Instead of swapping it they said it would take 1 to 2 weeks and they were gonna have to send it to the manufacturer. My husband was the one that too it back, this was a mistake apparently since later the store manager said we should have just dealt with the manufacturer ourselves. Also the manager is blaming COVID. If there is something that we can count on in these times during them pandemic is our shipping companies have really stepped up and been amazing, even the regular post hasn’t been to bad. It’s been 3 weeks now and the store and their home office is also saying it can take 8 to 12 weeks. At this point they don’t even know where the monitor is. Their attitude and customer service is one of the worst if ever seen. They claim they are in this RMA claim and have to wait. They need to honour what their receipt says and exchange it, at this point out of spite there is no one going the extra mile to make things right.

Just a word of caution if you are ordering online then picking up your order in the store... I received the order pickup notification at 5:49pm on a Thursday. The notification said I had two days to pick up my items. I planned to pick up my order on Saturday. Friday at 7:49pm, I received a notification saying that my order wasn't picked up on time and it was cancelled. I went into the store on Saturday at 2pm (as planned) to find out why it was cancelled after only 1 day. They told me that two days means the day the notification comes out and the next day only. That's strange, last time I checked 2 days = 48 hours which should have been 5:49pm on Saturday. Must be the new math. They were not going to honour my order or the sale price which ended Thursday. To their credit, one of their employees was able to void the cancellation. My recommendation, don't order anything online for pickup in the store unless you can go the very next day.

I was looking for a Wifi extender. I found one on sale for $23. The website suggested a 2 years protection plan for $3.9, I said I might get that. This store is 2 mints of driving from where I live. I went there and bought the extender and got the protection plan. When I went home I saw on the box that there is a 2 years warranty on the device. I thought I don't need the protection plan since I have the warranty. I was going to the same plaza the next day for shopping so I took the extender and went to the store to return the plan. I had to speak to the manager for that. When He saw it he said, it's only $3.9, I said I know but I don't need it, he said I wouldn't leave the house for that, I said I live around the corner and I always come to this plaza. His comments were unnecessary, when I pay $3.9 for something worth $23, it means I paid 17% extra, and if it's not worth it, why don't you offer it for free?!. I didn't need it, so I don't care about how I would pay for it because it's worthless. It's like someone offering you a big bag of garbage for just $1, the answer is NO despite the low price because it's garbage!!!

Customers are treated as potential thieves (even 69 year old ones) .... walked through the door with a camera around my neck and a small camera bag over my shoulder. A salesperson asked if he could help. As I was price shopping for inks for my printer we discussed price and whether or not the house brand of inks was suitable. Mentioned that I had already bought some inks but that I might consider the house brand next time. I then started to check out the rest of the store when he told me I would have to leave my bag behind the counter if I was going to look around. The first time any retailer in Canada has ever asked me to leave my bag at the counter. If a retailer is going to treat me like a potential thief they can live without my business.

Shady business and fraudulent!!!!! I tried to bring back a CPU cooler that didn't come with all parts to only be told it was already returned. As everyone knows that you get a receipt when you return something and it's marked as returned. So I showed them the original recept and said there was no record of it being returned on original receipt and told them it must be a mistake. Unfortunately they still didn't repair or replace the missing part and told me I'm out of luck. I am reporting this to the IRS as this is fraud!!, I didn't return the item and when tried to they told me that I already did!!!!!!!!! I get almost all my PC and networking stuff here. Got a few phones too over the years. The pandemic made things a bit messy. Online orders are fine. The other day I was in the area and needed a new router as mine died. They have posted outside their door 2 numbers. One to text your order#and they will let you pay for it. The other is to call in to place an order by phone. After a while they picked up and refused to let me order by phone. Rona will do it. Don't know why they won't. I ordered what I needed online elsewhere as I would not be in the area for some time. :/

The original suggestion from the team at Canada Computers was to bring it in for diagnostics and repair, but after explaining to them that I use it for work (despite being a gaming machine on paper) they decided an exchange would work. The service guys took a look at the old one quickly and replaced it. They were super friendly and great to deal with. Everything works amazing now. I will forever be a customer!

Kingston Canada Computer & Electronics doesn't have much to offer, not like in Toronto. I know Kingston is small city, but when they advertise on their add, they should have in their inventory at least 4 or more, but by the time you went there, either out of stock or they or they asked you to go online to order. Also I know that sometimes it happened in Toronto too, that's why I give them a two star rating. My theory is that, search online for the one that you wants, and shop all where's they available, and then shop online, and pay their shipping costs instead of going there, and put out their stories about they just sold the last one or their BS. That's my opinion, you don't need to follow. For my opinion is "No Worries, Relax, & be Happy"...

We used to love this store. Have boughten quite a few items there over the years. Well we went there yesterday, looking for a gaming mouse for our son. They had all the back taped off... weird.. so we ask... the staff members tell us its closed and he can bring us a few to look at... my partner asked what had changed in the last 2 weeks as he was just able to go back there then. The staff member told us it wasn't because of covid it was they were short staffed... literally was at least 3 staff at the front and my partner and I were the only customers... You lost our buisness over this excuse and will make sure others hear about this as well. Called to see what can be done about them SELLING me a PRE BUILT computer with a power supply that can't keep up with it's specs and told me that I need to pay MORE money just to get it looked at. Went to the manager and he was EXTREAMLY disrespectful. I am extreamly upset that I spent this much money on a piece of junk, only for the manager to say "I don't care." Updating my original review We have had many further issues with this location due to stock and missing orders. As well they did not notify us on multiple occasions that our items had arrived. When confronted about this as we required to purchase items elsewhere the store manager Dave told us we "had a pattern of being unreliable when it comes to pickups" We informed him that if we were actually notified that the items had arrived we could pick them up. Here's the kicker we have done business with this location over 10 years and have spent over $1,000,000 with them during this time. In reaction to this Canada Computers Head Office Corporate Dept has recommended that we do not order from Kingston location as this is not the first complaint they have received. Since then we have actually increased our orders with them , where previously we had used our other suppliers and are much happier. This review is a 1/5 for the Kingston Store itself as for the Corporate Dept I have had excellent service since and no issues with orders.

This Review is for the Oshawa, ON location. Currently, Canada Computer's return policy does not allow returns of opened products. It is understandable that they have changed they're return policy in response to the COVID situation. However, the fact that I paid full price expecting a new product ($70 cooler master fan) the company gave me an opened box without informing me; thus, immediately voiding the return policy is unacceptable and bad practice. I called the store and they refused to exchange the product and insisted I prove it's defective in order for an exchange. Additionally, the box was missing all its paperwork (i.e. product information and user manual) proving that it was tampered with. TLDR: Paid full price for new CPU cooling but received an open box that I cannot exchange. The employees were nice but their policies suck tho.

Being a bit of a tech geek myself, I love the option of walking into a computer store and actually taking a look at the physical products that I might want to buy. This is especially true when it comes to TVs and Computer Monitors. The only thing I don't like is the fact that their "deals" are usually not very good and are usually the same prices you'd find online (80% of the time, sometimes you can get ACTUAL deals there, though) 4/5 Selection: Being a relatively small store, the selection isn't gargantuan, but that is to be expected. * This review is specific to online ordering. You may have a different experience when interacting directly in store. I ordered a graphics card online during a Black Friday sale. At the time of ordering, the product was available both in-store and online (according to their own website). The order was cancelled a WEEK AND HALF later under the pretense of it being a limited availability sale; this information was not posted on the product's description page. To make matters worse, because it took a week and a half for them to cancel the order, I was unable to take advantage of other sales available online. If I had been informed in a reasonable amount of time that the order would not be fulfilled, I wouldn't have cared nearly as much. To make matters worse, the money wasn't refunded automatically at the time of the cancellation, and required me to phone two separate telephone numbers, three times in all. All three times I was unable to reach anyone; one busy, and two times the phone rang 15-20 times without anyone picking up. I was finally able to get a refund almost three weeks later. Suffice to say, I will no longer attempt to order anything online with this company again.

The staff at the Oshawa location are very knowledgeable and amazing staff, every time I go in they always ask if I need help or to help me find what I'm looking for faster. Recently there was an issue that I reported to corporate, they were trying to force me to buy warranty for the 3070 and it's the only way they would sell it to me. I made a complaint to corporate about this issue where I promptly received a call from Mike at Oshawa to remedy the situation. He explained what happened and that what the employee said was not right and not what was happening at all. After chatting with him, it was a miscommunication as he told them to upsell warranty, not sell the GPU with only warranty. I am very happy with the outcome and the answers I received. I highly recommend this store as they care a lot about keeping their customers happy.

Never ever going back! In fact telling everyone I know if they ever go there I’ll never talk to them again. Horrible experience. Went in to get a computer for my 10 year old to do his homework on and play Mine Craft for X-mas. Spoke with an employee who advised he thought the laptop we selected would work but we could take it home and load Mine Craft on it and see if it worked and if it didn’t we could return in 14 days FULL REFUND. I sent a picture of the specs on the outside of the box (using my phone) to a friend who knows more than me and he said “don’t even try, it’s not the computer you want and would not suffice” . Box never opened, nothing taken out of any rappers or bags, not a single finger print on the computer; in other words walked back in the way I walked out. Go to refund… 5% fee. They said it was clearly stated in their return policy which they provide to no one at purchase, don’t put on the receipt, don’t hand to anyone or make reference to and in my case completely lie about as I was told I could bring back for a FULL REFUND. Where is this policy you asked… in the back customer service area on the wall so the customers coming BACK to return can clearly read it then… nice. My questioning of it was handled very poorly as well (i was clearly mad). So to sum up it cost me $20 to walk out and back in the store. All you X-mas shoppers should be aware of this do NOT buy gifts in that store!

Attempted to get my laptop fixed after it stopped holding a charge suddenly. Canada Computers took the laptop in early November. They lied to me telling me it would be fixed within 3-4 weeks every time I called (a couple times before the holidays). By the time I drove back to Kingston (didn't live there anymore) to check on the progress in early January, I found out they didn't even have the part required to fix the laptop (but hadn't told me, despite 4-5 phone calls that were screened). Awful service and terribly unreliable. I would suggest you never go to Canada Computers to fix any device, especially if you need it fixed within a (supposedly) unrealistic 2 months...

Called asking about a modem they had in stock which only specific firmware versions work with cogeco / start internet . Employee advised that there is zero return policy on modem so best to make sure its the correct one. I asked ok what is the firmware version Employee : its not on the box Ok i said its printed on the modem can you check please . Employee " i can open the box I said well if i cant return it then i will need to know what the firmware version is before i buy it . Employee spoke to manager which also said no they cant open the box to check . Apparently no one in the store can open a box So how is one suppose to confirm if a modem will work before they buy as it is a zero return policy ? Is a consumer to be expected to buy no knowing it will work with zero return policy and be out over $100 Ridiculous

1) Condescending service, research before going in the store, staff did not take time to explain things; if you don't know this you are looked at like a moron. 2) Conflicting information, ask two staff for an answer get two different answers. 3) Unprofessional customer service, again the tone and manner of approaching people. 4) Parking is difficult, downtown location is definitely not convenient. 5) Many of the stocked items are not at competitive prices, sales are mostly the only thing the have going for them. Amazon, best buy, costco all crush them. 6) Addition to the last point, normally I would support local businesses. However, in this case, no! Good local businesses make up for the price difference between online and storefront with good customer service, great attitude, etc. I found this to be missing in the equation at this location. Bottom line, I will never return to this store. P.s. I don't normally take time to write reviews unless they are deserved.

Brought in our old computer, service determined that the motherboard was finished. Came in following week with my son who is a gamer and had a list in order to build a new one. Staff was incredible at outlining all the pros and cons of each component and made great recommendations. Service built the computer and my son loves it. All the computers I've gotten from here have had problem within the first 30 days, the first didn't make it past the first and when I brought it in to fix I was just given a new one of the same make and model. That was great but unfortunately that one didn't make it beyond the second day. I was given a usb to fix the problem and that worked for about a month before the same problem occurred again, and the usb once again worked but this continued about once a month for the next 3 months and each time the usb fixed it although I would lose all my files. Until this week when it finally broke enough that the usb wasn't enough. The staff was quite nice about fixing though.

I have had nothing but positive transactions at this location. I made a $700 purchase just before Covid lockdown. I called the store a few times and Michael assured me that he would accept the return as soon as he could. It took a while because of Covid measures but sure enough, I went there and he refunded me without question. I just recently called and was lucky enough to talk to Mike again. My friend and I were looking for specific EVGA 3070 video cards. There was a short list for those cards because other people prefer Asus, MSI, Zotac. Mike came through as he always seems to do. Seriously man, thanks a lot for everything you have done. I can finally complete my build. I wouldn't shop anywhere else.

Unless this company decides to place some value on the consumer, it will quickly become another casualty of Amazon. Their return policy is unrealistic and not applied with common sense. The manager, Dan's response when I asked about it was "Don't ask me, I just work here". I recommend you try everywhere else first.

Went in close to closing and the staff was amazing. We went in not knowing much other than some recommendations from friends and they helped us with a full build for a gaming PC. Garbage place. Left my computer in there for 2 nearing 3 weeks and they had nothing about it except take it apart while misplacing a bunch of screws in the process, before finally telling me that they needed to send it elsewhere for repairs, taking potentially even more weeks. Definitely not coming back. I'm a busy person.

This was my first experience at pick-up as I usually order online for shipping as I live over an hour away in Peterborough - but it was worth the drive to get the parts I needed; just a shame I need to wait a bit longer for life to return to normal in hopes to tour an actual store front. Was excited to go to this location to get help from this "Michael" I had heard about on the reviews, unfortunately when I arrived to this location, Michael was just a greeter. He welcomed me and directed me to a tech at the back of the store. Once back there I was surrounded by 7 guys who clearly needed much more work to do, and I told the tech what I was looking for (a computer between 1000$-1350$). Right off the bat the tall skinny guy to my left cracks a joke about how I wouldn't get much out of a 1300$ computer these days, while the actual tech (very large gentlemen with face shield and beard) claims he has nothing for that price range, he has nothing similar anywhere else, and he cant help me find anything at another store, he said there is nothing we can do for you within your budget. Wow. He then suggested Kijiji.. I disagreed heavily, and was disgusted by his recommendation..and so were the other techs apparently. I finally left and went to the Whitby location where the employees were incredibly nice and helpful (and actually quite intelligent when talking about computers), and I got a computer! I am 100% satisfied, I came in under budget, and my computer is 10X faster than I expected. Boy what a DUMP this Oshawa location is in comparison.. DO NOT bring your daughter or son here for back to school shopping, Michael and his tech at the back of the store were not helpful and you WILL NOT have a great experience. Sorry but it's just true. Avoid at all costs. My experience with poor customer service and attitudes was on par with other reviews. Not only were they unapologetic and miserable to deal with, they had my laptop three months, sent it back broken halfway through, and then put such a cheap screen on it the touch controls and colours are awful. They say they have a "two day turn around" on warranties, in fact, it took a month. Not only that, but they erased all my custom settings undoing hours of work I'd put in to fix the HP/Windows 10 glitches. I'm embarrassed this is a locally owned business.

I recently purchased a custom computer from Canada Computers Inc. in Oshawa Ontario. Wanting a specific graphics card for my computer’s build, I pre-ordered the component months in advance. When it arrived at the store, Canada Computers notified me by phone and email. Arriving at the store I was impressed that the sales person I spoke to differed me to Mike. He studied my list of the other components for my “build” was informed me that they were drastically out of date. Mike was able to discern the type of computer I wanted to build and in a professional manner showed me my options, thoroughly explaining compatibility issues, pros & cons, best “bang for my buck”, and personal recommendations. I was extremely impressed with his knowledge and his sales manner. I believe it was Mike who actually build the computer but I want to offer a shout out the lady behind the service desk (sorry, didn’t catch her name) who happily demonstrated how impressive the fully assembled computer was when turned on. I would highly recommend Canada Computers Inc. Oshawa for any and all of your computer needs. The staff are knowledgeable, professional, helpful, and friendly.

After a couple of weeks' search I finally found a fire stick (need 2 but in these covid-ridden days....). I promised to be by the following day, and was told there was no need to pay over the phone, that someone would pass me a Moneris and my fire stick when I picked up. When I arrived happily waving my debit card I was told that it had been sold to someone who paid right away, even though it had my name on it. VERY bad business. You picked a helluva time to get greedy. It won't be forgotten when this is all over. (1 star for the Python memories).

I was a loyal customer having spent about 4k here within the past year. But I have now had 2 SSD cards sold by them blue screen my computer and erase all data off of them. I paid the first time to have them diagnose it and hopefully get my data back off. no luck there and about $100 down the drain. I was also told that what happened was a 1/1,000,000 chance, yet it happened twice. They refuse to take any responsibility for the merchandise they sell, they are not helpful what so ever with resolving the issue, and l they make you feel like your disturbing them when you come in with issues. I come to Canada Computers because they are supposedly the best when it comes to Computer help.... been proven wrong. Sales staff is great, never seen worse, more disrespectful, unhelpful workers in my life for the ones working behind the customer service desk. if you wont take responsibility for your products what so ever, then at least help the customer solve the issue, especially if they are paying money for the help after already buying the product.
