Called in asked about Z 10 Blackberry unlocking 34.00 with tax said ok thanks and told them I was looking to get a unlocked phone for no more then 200-225.00 they sugested the samsung J some what I did a search on it was ok. I am only use to Blackberry Z10 or 9800 or samsung note phones. or any kind of android phone that will allow apps to be down loaded and block annoying numbers, messages. if I get the Z10 from my friend I cant wait to get this done for that cost. -Expensive diagnostic fee, 3x been unable to fix the issue. May as well have sent it away -1x had screen repaired, store damaged the phone during the repair (antenna, couldnt get signal anywhere after the repair) -Bought a refurb phone from Banana after they were unable fix the issue they had caused. this phone bricked after 2 months and they do not have any reasonable warranty. -unfortunately you can be used to poor customer service, as all of the repair shops in town are under the same ownership, so there is no drive to be better than the competition.

This is the best place in town for phone repairs. Over the years I've brought several broken phones here to be fixed at reasonable prices, with a quick turn around. I often even find the service better than the warranty that is usually offered! Don't go anywhere else.

Asked about getting the glass screen replaced for a galaxy s10+. They quoted me at 800$. Place in lansdowne wall right beside the food court was 380$. Literally double the price. Can buy a new mid level phone outright for that. Wouldn't recommend.

They were okay, not my usual repair place. Offered repair on two phones, one with battery damage the other severe water damage. Slow repair, took over a week, and they were unable to override the passwords on the phones, the text data was what was requested... Also the repairs were VERY expensive costing almost 900 for two devices. Overall for near 1k I would think they would be able to work a little faster and without as much assistance from the client. I am still waiting to see what they have accomplished a week later. *edit, it took three weeks to get both phones and information back. The Samsung still hasn't been unlocked, and they tried so many times it locks you out for over an hour each time now. Super disappointed in the quality of the service and the repair of the product. They were unclear as to what they were capable of doing and the cost. For close to 1 k of work you would think the end result would be a two usable phones. Nope. The iPhone is a brick. They pulled the data off it (not all data) and gave me back a memory stick ( that had to be paid for) and a dead phone the Samsung now turns on. But we can't get into it... dissatisfaction guaranteed

Brought in my computer that just randomly died this morning. They couldn't fix it right away but also said it would be really costly. He did take it apart to see what the problem might be though. He recommeded a good computer for my needs if i decided to go that way. He did NOT charge me anything but did direct me to a few places that might be able to help. Long and short...within 2 hours i have a new computer up and running. Not my first expereience with this shop and wont be my last.

I mean it's okay my screen was perfectly fine a little ghost touch but that's normal but they didn't apply the screen right it was popping up and made me very worried cause my case slide easily under the small crack of the popped up screen than last night it made it worse I could see light more than I ever did before but today my screen cracked due to a metal swing and the screen had enough of lifting and again the case went under as I was taking the case off to get it unstuck slowly the top right hand corner broke just to say the crack is at the top.

I would highly recommend Banana Service. I went in today with a phone that I thought could possibly be beyond repair. The individual that I spoke with was extremely professional and honest. I was lucky that the damage was not as bad as I had thought, obviously they are the experts! They could have easily kept the phone and charged me what they originally quoted and I would have never known the difference but they didn't. I will not hesitate to use them in the future and will definitely recommend them to anyone I come across with a damaged phone.

Incredible Service !!! My Iphone took a swim in Mexico and I thought i lost all my photos as the device experienced water damage when i had to help my daughter from a water slide and it fell into the water and i brought it here after having it in rice for a week in mexico and not ever turning the device on !!! Now ...i left it with the man named Bo and he knew all i wanted was the data off this device and didn’t expect it to use as a phone again as the photos meant the world to me and my vacation pictures i just had taken. . He updated me through the weeks and i was in no hurry at all to give him time to help me retrieve what i wanted. He called me to inform me he was able to get all my data off my phone after 2 ultrasonic baths and he did exactly what i asked him to do :) I picked up my phone today and it is exactly what he said it would be after discussing what i wanted and needed with this phone. I live out of town and by the time I got around to taking it in again, I was told it was the screen that was faulty but since it had been a few months i had to pay to have an new screen again (NOTE TO EVERYONE A FAULTY SCREEN CAN BE JUST A DEAD BLACK SCREEN). Then about 9mos ago I took a different phone in to have a screen replaced and was told the battery was pooched, so had it replaced. Since then the battery life is worse then ever!!! Now I am officially done! I took my phone in today that had no issues charging to have a screen replaced, well now it won’t detect any chargers! And yes I am using Apple brand chargers!!! Either they are hard as heck on our devices, or they are scamming people out of their money? But either way, I’ve wasted enough of my hard earned money!

I sent my laptop in may 19th after four of the keys stoped working, they said they would get back to us either that day or the next. It took them almost a week to just tell us whats wrong with it, they said it had hardware damage they said they would have to order the part which were we were ok with. After, we've had to constantly check on it since every time we ask when it will be done they just say it will be a week. The main concern with this is that i am a student and since schooling is online currently i dont exactly have a lot of time which is why we chose to go to them. I completely understand that there are other people going to them but the fact that they can never give us an actual date it will be done it kinda disappointing

They have a good stock of parts, do excellent work and keep the customer informed during the repair of how long it will take, how much it will cost and what's required. The free screen-protector at the end of the job was a delightful bonus and much appreciated. If you need to get your phone, tablet or computer fixed, this is by a wide margin the best place to go.

I had an issue with one if the screen replacements that they did and they happily fixed it, no questions asked.

I had problem with charging my wife blackberry. The technician says that will cost me $50.00 to replace charging port. OK. Later He called my wife telling her the phone is dysfunctional. She called me, I called them. The technician says they have to do the diagnostic at additional cost of $120-$180!!! I said NO. Then the called my wife with good news. The phone is ready. When I picked blackberry the explanation was shocking. There was nothing wrong with the phone. They did not notice it was discharged. High skill technicians works there. I highly NOT recommend the place.

Amazing service. There are some reviews here rating it one star, people need to relize that thechnology is not perfect and sometimes things break that can't be fixed. I have been here multiple times but today was my best experience! My custom PC needed a new WiFi adapter and a man named Bo not only sold me a used one within my budget but also spent a long time installing drivers and setting it up for me. Would strongly recomend this place!

I had a very questionable experience at this location. I was sent by Virgin mobile to get a new phone battery. I have enough knowledge of phone repair to know that replacing a battery only takes a few minutes. I was hoping to be able to buy the battery and install it myself, however they would not allow that. They then spent at least half an hour with my phone replacing my battery. When I finally got my phone back, my sim card had been taken out. The sim card DOES NOT need to be removed for a battery replacement. When I pointed this out, the employee working with me took $5 off of my bill and said "don't ask." Needless to say, I am nervous that they tampered with my sim card in the process of replacing my battery. I will never go to this store again because I feel that they take advantage of being able to handle other people's electronics. I feel violated and toyed with and the service was very seedy.

Disappointed in this service. Went in at the end of March to get a new battery for my iPhone 6+, later before the warranty ended, Apple came out with an update saying my battery capacity level was at 66% (for a brand new battery). Went back in to the store and it turned out to be a defective battery. So I got a replacement. Few days later, I travelled to Europe for only a week. And my phone started acting up, and was unable to stay on for more than a minute. When I returned, I was told that I yet again received a defective battery and got a replacement. The replacement can barely last half the day, it’s honestly as bad or worse than the original battery I replaced. Oh and the battery level capacity is at 86%, for a new battery it should state 100%. This place is not worth the stress. I’m grateful for the replacements and being refunded. But it was too much of a hassle and I do not recommend this place at all. If you recently received a new battery for your iPhone 6+ from banana service, make sure it’s not from the three defective batches that I was so unfortunate to receive. The way to check is: Settings-> Battery-> Battery Health (Beta).

I go to pick it up and it rattles and he tells me that's normal and made me pay full price, wait after arguing he gave me 10 bucks off Never going again

Brought in my MacBook Air for water damage (another student spilt orange juice all over). Initially, the damage was estimated to be quite severe with little-no chance of data recovery. The staff were always very kind. It took longer than expected to fix (About 1.5 months), however when it was returned it worked well, and had all of its data recovered!!!! The sound did not work, so I called the repair place and they drove down to the York Region (where I live), to get the laptop and repair it again (free of charge), and delivered it back to me in 4 days. They went above and beyond to ensure that I was happy with the service. The cost to repair my laptop (that turned off and wouldn't turn on after the water damage) was in the mid 400's; (apple quoted me 800+). Super impressed with this team, I would totally recommend them to ANYONE who needs stuff repaired. 10/10!!

Went and initially got my iPhone SE's screen replaced since it broke and cracked and that was $100. Then, about 2 months ago my battery went kaput so I spent another $50 on that. Now, my phone just cracked down the middle of the screen randomly while charging and the battery drains 5% per minute and also has a delayed reaction after 80% when not plugged into a power source.

Horrible experience, gave them my iPhone 6 to repair, they estimate roughly 150-170$ to fix it. Which is okay. I go in the day I'm supposed to pick it up and pay for the repair and I wait in the store for nearly an hour waiting to speak to someone. When I finally do the man at the desk just looks at me and tells me it's unfixable and there's nothing they can do, and proceeds to give me my phone back in a thousand pieces in a ziplock bag, while dropping screws and such and other pieces of my phone on the ground while putting it in a bag. I found it a ridiculously huge waste of time and have never seen such an unprofessional service shop. Will never come back.

They were able to fix it within an hour from the time i dropped it off as promised and at a very reasonable rate. They we're pleasant and helpful. Had screen replaced, device was returned damaged and improperly repaired. Staff and store owner were less than helpful claiming that their half ass job was fine as it "doesn't affect performance of the device" even though the home button and finger print reader don't function properly... My guess is these crooks are paying for positive reviews because there is no way that these scam artists are providing the level of service which is being described.

The worker (Bo) who helped me was very helpful. I went in to get a hijacker on my MacBook fixed and the worker did it the same night! I called ahead and made sure it was something they could look at and sure enough I was in and out the same night. He was very friendly and even pointed out some other issues he recommended I look into fixing (like a screen replacement) which I didn’t even notice. I know he didn’t do it for the money because he recommended for me to go to an Apple store. I’ve been to them for other issues and have never experienced any trouble. I definitely recommend their services.

After an 'authorized' dealer told me my iPad was vintage and obsolete, I brought it in to Banana Service, they repaired my battery and Tristar board and it works just like new again. They also stressed the importance of using Apple or MFI certified charging cables only. Grateful for all their help and expertise.

I don't even want to rate this 1 star. My experience was horrible here! I purchased an iPhone 6 plus 120 GB here, wasn't even there for 2 days, when I purchased it the gentleman told me I had 30 days to return it if there were problems with it or if I didn't like it. I came back a week later because the audio wasn't working and also it shut off and wouldn't turn back on. IT kept going to the apple logo and just kept doing that. It restarted my whole phone, that deleted all my information, contacts, photos, music etc. I told them what the phone was doing and the guy told me he never said I could return it, yet myself and the person I was with heard him say it and this was within the first week I purchased it, I even kept the receipt and explained it wasn't working properly. Since I purchased it I've had it in a protective case and haven't dropped, it and no other damage has been done to it. In the last couple months I've still had problems with it, the audio still wont work, it has shut off randomly over 10 times, and it has restarted and wiped my whole phone 5 times now! I was treated with horrible customer service especially because they told me I had 30 days to return it if was not functioning properly. For the amount of money I spent on this phone, it was not worth it for the amount of problems I've had with it, I will never come back to this company again! Huge waste of money and dysfunctional technology.

I would recommend taking a witness for any dealings because customer service in this place is zero. They lost a sim card I left with them to reinstall and returned the phone dead and sim card missing. They totally denied any responsibility. I contacted the owner via cell phone and have heard nothing.

Don't recommend to take any computer parts here took a motherboard and a video card video card was plugged in and it booted up seems to work fine but it was never taken apart or looked over no stress test the motherboard wasn't even plugged in to be tested just want to be replaced with a new part doesn't seem like too much effort is being put into trying to find the issue they'd rather just switch it out for new parts was little really looking forward to having somewhere to take my broken computer parts to get them repaired but it's not here. And still had to pay for Diagnostics for something that was improperly done

Whatever they used to hold the screen and phone together is peeling around the edges.... also was given an estimate and never followed up with regarding a firm price, so when I went in to pay, the associate had to call multiple people to confirm how much to charge me .... it felt a bit scammy. I think I would check out another place, they did the job but there was no communication on their end, and the work I think could have been done better...

I came to them to see if I could recover some data from a Samsung phone that failed. They told me the phone was fixable but not economicaly given its age. They tried few simple things at no charge but none worked. At the time I decided to forgo the data. I felt I was given "straight goods". I was confident there was no attempt to take advantage of me. I don’t recommend it here. I took my phone here with a broken charger port which they told me would take 1-2 days and I did not end up getting my phone back for 6 days. When I finally got it back my phone no longer rang or had vibrate (Even when my ringer/ vibrate was on). I took it back and explained I was waiting to hear back from jobs I had applied for and I asked how long they’d take. They said 3 hours so we dropped it off. They also told us they’re call us when my phone was ready. It had been 4 days and I hadn’t heard anything. We went in to see if it was fixed and it was not. 5 days later they called us to ask what my password was therefor they hadn’t even started working on it yet and it had been 4 days already. They knew I was exporting a call for a job. 7 days later I finally got my phone back. The ringer was fixed but my vibrate still does not. They also tried to make us pay for it when they broke it in the first place. They have horrible customer service and I don’t recommend it here. If you’re looking for somewhere in Peterborough to fix your phone I recommend Marrs Music.

Went in with an Android charging port issue, my phone was looked at within 60 seconds of walking through the door. The technician tried his hand at cleaning the port before going down the road of replacing it. The quick cleaning worked and came with a good explanation of what the issue was and how to avoid it going forward. I hesitate to write this part because customers should expect to say for service - but I was not even charged for his time. Obviously this place cares about giving good service and returning customers - absolutely will be going back if needed.

Excellent customer service! They took the time to explain how to optimize the performance of the new battery they replaced in my phone. They told me the replacement would take 3-4 hours, that surprised me a little bc I thought it would be a simple switch, but I also have no idea how many other repairs they had from previous days. But I think it's awesome it was done the same day, I felt pretty inadequate without my phone on me

These guys are AMAZING! I never write reviews but my experience was so unusual I came straight home and write this. I am used to tech stores taking a week to look at something - even a small issue. As well, many are not that familiar with Apple products. I found these guys on the web and took my wife's iPad in. I thought it was just a small issue regarding her email. A young lady at the counter discussed it with me, checked with a tech and then worked through some aspects with me and gave me some options. It was an easy fix and she solved it right there but it still took her 15 min. This is the type of service I love but unfortunately rarely find. 5* for service! I'm sure there are times when they are too busy to do something like this but when they can it makes a great impression. I will definitely return as I need to in the future.

Awesome experience. Super friendly and knowledgeable staff. Had a SIM card stuck in the slot of my phone, gentleman in the store had it out in less than 5 min, didn't charge me a thing all he asked for payment was to enjoy the rest of day and a hand shake. Now that is top notch customer service.

Was in Peterborough for a few days. Iphone 6 battery needed replacing so we found this place. Thought that the job was done correctly when we left the store, but an error was made. Mistakes happen, wasn't a huge deal. They replaced my screen instead of my battery. Spoke to the owner, Bo, a few days later and he got to the bottom of the issue right away. He even offered to come to my office in Hamilton (he was going to be in Hamilton anyway) while I was working so he could resolve the issue. He showed up and replaced the battery at no extra charge. NOW THAT'S CUSTOMER SERVICE. A+++++++

- In my experience, the staff really struggled to troubleshoot what resulted in being a simple charger issue. Took several days before I ultimately took my phone to a different repair shop, where the issue was diagnosed and fixed within 10 minutes. - The location is out of the way from the downtown core and inconvenient to get to through transit + The services are relatively cheap

Terrible customer service, twice we took devices in with charging cords and they came back without the cords and they insisted that the cords were not there when they came in. They don't call to let you know when the device has been repaired. We purchased an android box that did not work properly at our house and they refused to take it back.

I would not recommend this place at all. Brought a laptop in on Tuesday to get fixed. I was told they would call me with estimate. They did not. I called them on Thursday and found out estimate, and gave them the go ahead to fix it. They said it would be ready on Saturday and they would call me. Well, they did not. I called Monday morning, repairs are not even started. I picked up the laptop as I could not wait any longer. The laptop was in worst condition than when I brought it in. I had to buy a new laptop this morning. No customer service!!! I definitely will not be going back!
