Staff are friendly and helpful, there is a waiting area with chairs as they limit the amount of customers in the store. There was two people ahead of me when I arrived and I was helped within a half hour, although they didnt have what I was looking for the guy working there was very informative and helpful. I left with a solution to my issue and his card in case I needed any additional help.

Had to pick up an extra charging cable and adapter for my Macbook Pro this morning. Saloni did a great job of showing me options and helping me make it as economical as possible. When I got back to the office, it wasn't functioning properly. Wasn't sure which piece was to blame. Popped back into the store and she tested each piece, found a workable solution. It's hard to shop during COVID, and even harder to troubleshoot, but I'm pleased with the service and with the willingness to help me find the right products.

The store is really nice & user friendly with the different stations. I was greeted when I arrived at the entrance. I did have an appointment however I was next in line. Michael was very efficient, friendly & made me feel comfortable with his positive demeanor. I recommend Simply Computing definitely & will go back for assistance. I had to go to Simply Computing for a fix, as I ordered a refurbished MacBook Air from Apple that arrived damaged. I was unable to send it back to Apple for repairs. I mainly interacted with the owner (I think) of the store. When explaining my problem, he dwelled for far too long on how I should not have purchased a refurbished computer. He asked how much it cost (which he should not have) and when I gave him a range he said that it "wasn't that much cheaper" than a new one, which I could have just purchased a new one from Best Buy. It's shocking that I have to say this, but shaming your customers for not buying new or full-price is beyond inappropriate.

Not Impressed with their support. Just bought a Mac Mini yesterday. Had some trouble and called in for assistance. Told would have to call Apple - they would have to charge for support. Don't recommend them if you are changing from PC to a MAC. They don't seem interested in post sales support

I needed a charger for my phone and they gave me one free of charge! It is so great to have businesses that help others in a time of crisis. I took my iPhone to Simply Computing because they are the only store in Kamloops that will deal with Apple Care. The only thing wrong with it was the screen, but I was told that my phone was bent and that I would have to pay $145 to get a whole new phone. I paid for it and they ordered my new phone. Before I received my new phone, I was called and told I needed to bring my phone back in for 'testing' and was not given any specifics as to what the testing was or if it would affect my warranty. I was told they would not give me my new phone, which I had paid for, until I brought my phone back. I was very disappointed in my service and inconvenience decided to cancel my order. Since then, I took it to an Apple store in Calgary, and they replaced the screen and battery free of cost, with no mention of a bent phone. Clearly a money grab on behalf of Simply Computing, combined with some of the worst costumer service I have ever had.

My personal experience, I recently had my beats by Dre Studio (wireless) headphones fixed at simply computing. I had received only one phone call over four days letting me know that they were back in from being shipped out and were fixed. As I walked in on the fourth day that they had been there for, I saw a guy in the back with the exact same pair as me around his neck. I noticed and genuinely said “nice headphones you got their man”, and then upon opening my headphones case, the girl helping me realized it was empty… He had my headphones on, and the girl had to ask him for them... He got up right away and said “Oh are these yours? Sorry we don’t get beats in here too often” implying that he had been wearing them for his own personal use and not as a sound check. When I dropped off my headphones they were fully charged (Studios have a 12 hour wireless battery life) and when I tried to turn them on when I got home I realized that they were dead. Leaving me to believe that in the four days that they had been in this store, this guy had been using them the entire time. When I finally turned them on they were not synching to any of my devices, due to them being synched to his device still. This left a really sour taste in my mouth, so I called to give some constructive feedback on their professionalism and to see if he could un-synch them to whatever device he was using them with no one answered, so I left a message. Roughly an hour later I received a text message from an employee named Korey giving me a website that I had already found in the hour it took for him to text me to solve my problem. He gave me an email to message if I had any further inquiries, which I used as my way of giving feedback on their services. He emailed me once back stating it was for a sound check, to which I assured him that was not the situation. I never received another email back so I decided to write this review instead. If you have to get something of yours fixed just send it in yourself, it is incredibly unprofessional at simply computing. Sincerely, Disappointed

Started the run around by booking an appointment online which no one ever responded back from their system. I went to the store in person and was told that person in charge of bookings was away and never forwarded the booking program to anyone. All fine I explained the laptop simply required to have new batteries installed. They stated they had 4 sets in stock and quoted me a price for labour and materials and setup an installation date. 2 days later I arrived at my appointment and the tech did not come to work that day so I was rescheduled the following day at this time they said we will get a quote together. I stated the price I had already been quoted $199 for the battery and $99 for labour + tax. My third visit back finally to get the work done they fumbled around and told me they could do the work but it was going to be 50% more because their service provider had either wrote the wrong serial number down or that Apple had increased the battery prices since I booked my appointment 4 days earlier? I watched him type the serial number number in on the screen it was all correct bringing up the model & year. They operate like used car salesman going in and out of the closed back room door sizing you up. I stood beside another lady that same day who was also getting jerked over and visibly not happy. It all reminded me of a scene out of Fargo. Well thats life, go somewhere else:)

This is one of the best places to take your Mac! I had purchased my MacBook Pro in 2011 and have had it in for only two issues. They knew exactly what to do and were extremely well priced for the services. I was also encouraged to purchase a back up system, which I can say is great for a piece of mind about losing any data. I would highly recommend them to anyone I know with a computer problem or even to buy a new one. Thank you Simply Computing!

Duncan, an Apple Technician at Simply Computing Kamloops has been an amazing customer advocate and resource who's been actively involved in a repair that Apple themselves are creating issues over with me. I have regularily received updates, assistance and interaction outside of the scope of Duncan's normal duties. As a person myself who has worked in the industry previously, as well as someone who's spent many years as a Manager or General Manager of businesses I can say I am very pleased and surprised with how much Duncan is willing to support the clients of Simply Computing. Brought in my iPhone because Apple Pay stopped working. The phone is 1 year old and I purchased AppleCare+, they told me my phone has a tiny bend in the frame (that I or no one else can see) and I will need to pay the complete replacement cost. I brought it to an official Apple store and they fixed it for free.

Simply computing and their managers are scam artists. Deny showing when they change their policies regarding leasing warranty or any warranty what so ever. Charge extra for the same repair quoted 2 years earlier. Would never suggest these people. You can get the same information they give from google. Suggest ordering online or from anywhere else. Will never spend a dime here.. reason why all reviews are 1 star or from current employees.

I took my phone in for water damage and to have it replaced, when i got the new phone there were some issues with the screen! After a couple visits to the store everything was figured out and replaced and I now have a new and working phone! The Simply Computing team was super helpful and friendly and Korey the head tech was great!

have purchased a number of new products here and liked the customer service. however, recently took my apple watch (4 months old) in for a "Carry - in" service for Apple. i had already called apple and they just wanted me to ship it to them, Simply wouldn't do that and instead "diagnosed" it themselves. Would only ship it if I gave a damage deposit equal to the value of the watch. similar to a lot of other service posts for Simply, i was treated the exact same way. not sure i'd go quite so far as to call it a money grab, but they definitely weren't able to listen to the customer and the issue. Right away grabbed the watch and went to the back without me explaining the issue. I'm not an electronics tech, but looking online and at my watch it appears to be a swollen battery issue which seems to be a very common issue with this watch. According to Simply, this is my fault.

I previously posted a negative review in 2015, but I am changing it to reflect more recent service. My computer was repaired under warrantee and I think they handled the situation well. It's a shame Apple limits Simply's ability to provide replacement parts so users can repair their own machines.

Had to replace our main computer today as the hard drive on our 9 year old Mac failed. As ever, the staff at Simply Computing were thorough, attentive, and supremely helpful. This store is often very busy - they're the only full-service Apple dealer and repair shop in Kamloops, and a steady stream of business keeps them hopping. Today we were lucky and got there before it got busy, but I have been in a slow queue at Simply Computing before. It isn't easy to be patient while another customer is carefully served, but you know when it's your turn you'll get the same quality of service.

They are good, they might not be the cheapest. But there work shows. They have a good system. I believe they almost need a second location though. Maybe in Aberdeen mall or something. Absolutely terrible place i came here for a iphone battery replacement, and when i went to pick it up they told me they bricked my iphone and its completely unrepairable now. They didn't compensate me either they broke my phone and then told me goodbye. For a 18 year old kid its hard to afford to buy another iPhone and they lacked any compassion or empathy for my situation after THEIR MISTAKE. You just can't make this stuff up, a terrible place with terrible service.

Impressed with the quick turnaround of my most recent service!! I had a 2016 Macbook that I wanted wiped clean and latest OS installed so it was like brand new. I was quoted a very reasonable cost ($50 or so) and it would be about 3 days. To my delight, I received a phone call in less than 24 hours that it was complete and ready to go! Very good value, in addition to genuine customer service. Thank you Regan and team! Always a pleasure. :)

I took my MacBook Pro to get a battery replaced. Got a quote for $213.33 from the gentleman helping me. 149 for the batter and 40 smthing for labour plus tax. He confirmed the price with two of his coworkers and a price guide of sorts before confirming it too me. I was satisfied and checked in the MacBook. On the day of repair someone calls me and tells me that Eddie the gentleman helping me gave me the wrong price and it would cost me 478$ instead. Then he says if you don’t want to get it done we will only charge you 50$ for diagnostic and return the laptop. I had to use all of my Jedi patience to tell the gentleman that I already knew what was wrong with my computer and I was not paying 50 diagnostics fee for them not doing anything. This is an interesting dilemma. I think I want to write to CBC Market place to do a show to see how many customers these retailers put through situation like this and steal their hard earned cash!

I just wanted to bring to your attention the excellent service I have had from Pranav Chaudhary recently. I needed some solutions for my iMac and took a chance randomly selecting someone to assist me remotely through your SA online service. I was most impressed with Pranav Chaudhary that I booked a second session with him a few weeks later. Not only was he able to help me to understand the issues I was having, but he provided practical solutions for me to work on. In the end I took my iMac in for a new hard drive install (Sorry, I live in Victoria so I couldn’t take it to your Kamloops store). I had been dreading doing anything with my Mac for months (actually more than a year) as the last time I took it in (Vancouver), I did not really see any improvement. We worked out both software and hardware issues and once again I am thrilled with my computer. I would not hesitate to recommend Pranav.

I live in a small town with no Apple store so I posted my crashed MacBook to Simply Computing in Kamloops. Staff were prompt in diagnosing my problem (old hard-drive finally bit the dust). They recommended a replacement that suited my needs and safely transferred my data to a new machine. I was conveniently able to travel to the shop at short notice and pick up my new computer and sign up for the lease. Outstanding service!

My experience was with Sebastian and revolved around my concern about spyware or malware which periodically was coming onto my IPad. I initially saw him on March 2 and it was suggested that bring my iPad back on March 4 which I did. He reviewed everything he could think of which resulted in nothing showing up. They offered us the $53.00 solution & now the lap top is working great. They could have sold us a new computor for 1700.00 or more but they said they would try the cheaper way first. Came into the store, it was difficult getting help at first. Have issue with macbook, some short on bigger side black haired kid who clearly works there tells me he's an apple tech and will fix my macbook for cheaper after hours or will buy it from me for parts. If this isn't an integrity issue I don't know what is. Cost of in store repair was too much, and I'm not paying some kid who works there to fix it for half price.

This place is an absolute joke! And I'm referring specifically to its management. Anyone who enters this location, please notice the extreme lack of management skill - particularly Regan who has extreme communication issues with customers and staff. The heavy turnover of employees is NEVER a good sign, and they seem understaffed, overworked and stressed out. The one balding man working the back room, he is very rude to his co-workers using a condescending tone. It seems like a toxic place to work, and to be a customer. Never again.

Horrible service, I thought i would pitch in on the review and let you guys know they have extremely rude staff. Along with that, its like the store is a commission factory like future shop. You are better off buying your products from apple directly. Also, it seems like some of the other not so great reviews have vanished off google.

Busy place, but I was fortunate enough to get in before a line up started. Service by the supervisor Michael on my IPAD was quick and efficient. I was warned before he started that if it was a "quick fix" (under 15 min), there would be no charge, more than 15 minutes would be at their hourly rate. He got into my IPAD and I was out in 12 minutes! Great service. I would highly recommend.

Good selection of products, but staff need to be talked too... their were 5 of them working, and all of them were more focused on socializing with one another, than they were the customers. None the less, I'll still give the store itself a good review.

I bought an iPhone from a different location but went to Simply Computing because I was having some issues with it and they are the designated Apple retailer in the area. I went in very close to closing (I think I went in around 4:40 without realizing they closed at 5:00) and even though they were about to close they still took the time to look at my phone and get me a new one. I left that day with a brand new iPhone to replace my old one and they were so kind and helpful even though they had to stay a little but later after closing to help me out. I would recommend them to anyone I know!

Very poor customer service. Was told my I-phone was a "human hair" bent so they can't do anything (not even try to repair the actual problem) and to call apple. My iPhone is not bent so this made me feel like they just were making excuses not to honour warrenty on a iPhone that shuts off constantly by itself. Thankfully apple itself was a lot more helpful than these people. I should have read the reviews before wasting my time. I will not be returning.

I went to Best Buy where I not one employee helped for over 15 minutes of waiting, and the same was said for Staples. I went to Simply Computing (where I should've gone first) and was welcomed, helped, and able to make my purchase all in less than 20 minutes.

Very thankful for the kind and wonderful service I just received for my I phone it was calling 911 without me doing anything after a series of presses apparently and my screen was messed up too!! They fixed it all in a jiffy and also changed my settings so that wont happen again. So thankful for the awesome staff!! What a morning!!

Never again! They don’t answer the phone. Got to the waiting line up at the store... staff is courteous but completely useless. After explaining my issues on site with the devices (Mac book air replacement battery and another old Mac book data recovery), I was asked to take an appointment. Same time for the second visit spent explaining the same challenges (groundhog day came to my mind). Price were blown up, nobody seems to know what to do, looks like they never had that problem before!!!. Once again, courteous but useless staff. London Drugs downtown: one visit, half price, no fuss, easy, no hesitation, LD is the boss ????.

I read the "most recent" reviews of simply computing & I have to say I was honestly a little worried to take my phone in. But telus would want $500, a cell repair place said $115. Held my breath went to simply. The guy said "I think its just the screen protector, mind if I take it off?" I said that's fine, **REALLY my breath now.** Yep!!! That's all it was...phone is perfectly fine, just the screen protector. Thought holy cow! They had the tempted glass screen protector in stock & they installed it. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!!!!

If your coming here for a repair, search the internet to try and fix your device yourself first. The main technician here told me I needed to spend 950$ to fix my laptop because a logistic board needed to be replaced. After exiting the shop I was able to restart my laptop and fix it for free... terrible people here trying to finesse anyone.
