My phone's aux plug in was not holding the cable properly, they took it behind the counter, fixed it in less than 5 minutes (turns out there was a ton of dust in the cable port) and returned it free of charge! Took my phone in because it would die with 50% battery and the screen was popping out. Hot tattooed guy at the counter told me it was probably because the battery was swollen. The price seemed reasonable and he fixed it in about 20 minutes. So far it's worked perfectly and did I mention the guy at the counter was hot?

I went there to have my battery replaced as it was quite old. It was super quick and I was thankful. However a few days later I noticed a brand new issue with my phone, the charge port stopped reading my charger or was saying it was charging when it wasn't. phoned the store as it hadn't happened before they had did their work. Was told to come in and they wud take a look, went in said it was probably my block and cord and tried to sell me a new one. Phoned in again few weeks later as issue was worse. I told them I knew the port was broken they wanted to open up the phone, that took 3 hours, went back and was told they couldn't fix it becuase the charge port was sautered in. EDIT. I had to ask but they gave me a refund and let me keep the battery as they could not find my old one.

So he checked both our phones and they were both u locked. He didn't charge us for anything, great guy very honest! We really appreciated it!

Spent $300 to get my screen and back screen fixed and also bought a screen protector and case. I was told the tempered glass screen protector had a lifetime warranty and to bring it in if something happened. Three weeks after fixing my phone, I brought it in to get the back put on since he had to order one for me. a little bit of water got under the screen protector and when I took it in he said my warranty was void so $40 for three weeks of "protection"? Whatever i just wanted my phone. Not even a day went by and the back shattered from me dropping my phone maybe 3 ft with a case on. Not impressed obviously not the same quality parts the phone was initially equipped with. Waste of $300 and waste of $40 for a screen protector that two drops of water somehow got under.

Brought my older Samsung phone to get a failing headphone jack fixed, was quoted a relatively high price in my estimation but went through with the work anyways. Got the phone back and the color didn't match the phone (white phone, black jack), minor flaw. Within three months of use (after more than five years on the original jack) the new jack is scratching and cutting out, real dud. I assume they used a previously used component and screwed me because that short of a lifespan seems improbable. Lost the receipt so I don't think these scummers (also friends have related their own horror stories of these men being caught in lies shamelessly) are going to offer a thing. Avoid this merchant and if you do use their service insist on a proper accounting of the components they replaced and the sourcing of the new component. Avoid, avoid, avoid!

Quick service reasonable prices. Update: Would be 5 stars but the staff did not even vaguely explain the limitations or quality issues that are present with their screens. Replacement screens seem to be poor quality and not equivalent to the original. The glass for the new screen developed numerous cracks without being dropped or subjected to any impacts (so I assume just flexing in my pocket) and has practically no scratch resistance. Nobody mentioned that these were not OEM screens, nor did they explain that the glass on the screens was cheap tempered glass rather than gorilla Glass. I haven't had any issues with water damage yet, but when I went to pickup my phone the staff member was helping another customer who had water damage and told them that after a screen replacement the phone is no longer water resistant.... Nobody mentioned this to me either.

I've gotten my phone repaired here three times, and why I kept returning is just beyond me at this point. The first time I got it repaired, when I got it back, the home button wasn't working so the phone was unusable. The second time I got it repaired, when I got it back, the microphone was broken and I couldn't use Siri, or talk on the phone without using headphones. The third time I got it repaired, when I got it back, a part of the inside of the phone was protruding from the screen. I didn't notice it and put it in my pocket and sat down on the bus bench and the screen shattered, dubbing the phone unusable. They didn't offer any refund, and said to repair it, it would be $130! The way this company is run is a complete joke and I would never go there again. You can find a better place to get your phone repaired for cheaper.

During a busy business time for me I dropped my IPhone on a rock screen down. I googled repairs and these guys were the second closest but the location triggered a memory of positive comments. I went in to get my phone screen repaired since I had cracked it. They had to order a new one and said they would call me when it arrived which would be in about 3 business days. Over a week later I had still not gotten a call so I called them and they said it had arrived a while ago. So I went in and got it fixed, cost $280 which I think is overpriced but they screen turned out great. But after they fixed it I stopped being able to hear people on calls unless it was on speaker or through headphones. This was right after I left and it was working before so obviously they had broken it while they were fixing the screen. So I went back in and they checked it out and had to order a part again. And then right after they checked it out my headphone jack stopped working, sound would no longer play through headphones. Same as last time, only stopped working after they had it. I went in today and everything is fixed now but all this should have never happened. Shouldn't have had to come back after the screen was fixed. This place is very out of the way for me so this was very frustrating. Great customer service skills but not that good at not breaking your phone. I hope i don't find anything else they messed up so I don't ever have to go back.

(Long Post Warning) After struggling with my phone (Galaxy S6 Edge) for close to a week, I bought it into a shop in Vancouver and got my battery replaced. Thinking all was good, I made my way to Kamloops for the first day of a 4-day work trip. Shortly after arrival into Kamloops, my phone died and would not charge nor turn back on. After a quick search, I found Kamloops Cell Repair. Shaq was extremely helpful and told me he'd do what he can to repair and said he wouldn't charge me if he can't fix it. After lunch, I returned, my phone was working again and I was very excited (as my phone was my GPS, calendar, internet, essentially my life line for the next few days). After I paid and settle up, my died again while I was in the store. Shaq was shocked and so was I. I expressed to him that I'm on the first flight out of town the next day and needed it repaired but he told me he didn't have any parts for my phone but will see what he can do. When I returned at the end of the day I was floored by what he did. As luck would have it, he also owns a Galaxy S6 Edge, so he took apart HIS OWN PHONE, and repaired MY phone with HIS. That kind of service just doesn't exist in Vancouver and I've been telling this story the entire last week when people asked me why my phone looks different (mine was blue/black and his was gold). Phone has been working great since and I can't believe how they've gone above and beyond for me. Thanks again Shaq and Kamloops Cell Repair!

These guys had my phone for a month when I was originally told it would take 2 days. Going phone less for 1 month after coming back into Canada after a 1 month trip is horrible as is, yet to find out that the hadn't fixed anything on my phone, nor did they call me to even tell me when I could come and pick it up. I had to keep going up there to check and they could never give me a date even roughly. Horrible experience, I will never go there again. Now after a month I need to figure out how to get a new phone going, great waste of time and effort. Thank you kamloops cell repair!

When asked if I could wait on hold, I said yes and waited 5 minutes or so. I hung up and called back a bit later to get the same response, "Could you hold?" I said I had done that and that I just had a quick question on the cost of screen replacement. The question was answered very quickly, it actually took him more time to ask me to go on hold twice than it did to deal with me. I thanked him very much, to which he replied, "Yah, not very welcome". Turns out hes overpriced as well as snide, so Ill go elsewhere tx.

Took the iPhone back in and they said they will fix the 3D Touch but the camera was my fault although it was just working. Got my phone back and nothing has been fixed. I was temporarily in Kamloops, soon to return to Vancouver, and I needed a new phone. I normally use WIND mobile, which is not available in Kamloops, so I was using FIDO. I explained my situation to the people at Kamloops Cell Phone Repair, and they sold me an LG G3 claiming that it had the right frequency to work with WIND, that it was unlocked, and that they had just replaced the screen. Upon returning to Vancouver, I discovered that it is not compatible with WIND, that it was locked to FIDO, and that the screen freezes any time I make a call. Their customer service was fine, but their information is hugely inacurate. I now pay more per month because I wouldn't afford to buy another phone that was actually compatible with WIND, as they told me this was.

I went in and asked to fix my charging port. They cleaned it for me and tried to tell me it was fixed.Tried charging me 30.00 I asked them to plug it in and it did not work. They didnt even test it. I left my info and went back about 10 days later. They could not get ahold of the part i needed and no updates at all. I needed my phone fixed asap and they left me hanging. I will never use this company.

Shortly after they replaced the screen on my galaxy 7, I noticed a dead spot, unless I tapped harder, I couldn't close certain apps. The screen felt springy, and soon started bleeding. I reported the problem, and was told they were out of that part, but would have more in 2 days. It has now been 6 days, w/o a phone, they claim they still don't have the part needed to fix my phone. Will never use them again.

So after the manager worked with me to fix my phone and unlock my phone with the premium unlocking, so I was super happy left a great review only to find my self leaving a bad one. I don’t know what Chinese brand of digitizers they use for iPhones, but they act up after about 2 months and they glitch out and well I go back and theirs just nothing they can do that’s all they say.. over and over. I have had nothing but stress dealing with Kamloops Cell Repair. After dealing with them for six months I have had plenty of experience with their sub par service. They never took responsibility and always passed the buck to another company whom they had contracted out. When this secondary company did not provide any help, Cell Repair left the burden of dealing with that company to me instead of taking responsibility themselves. This made things extremely complicated as I wasn’t this company’s client and was kept in the dark. Management is rude and chooses to let workers deal with issues instead of speaking to their clients directly. This game of telephone is a waste of time and further complicated the issues, leaving me with no confidence in their abilities to actually solve problems. I would not recommend this company to anyone, save your time and money and go anywhere else.

Such an amazing place! First of all, they fixed my iPad with all my precious baby photos, when someone who previously tried to fix it told me it was unrepairable. I am so happy with there service. Very amazing staff! They offer a store warranty so you know they are trust worthy. Don't take your valuable tablets or phones anywhere else, I'm telling you they are the best bang for your buck, you won't get a better deal. We changed out cell phone over to Telus the other day and had a few problems. Went to Andres to get the phones working properly and was told they do not do hands on because of COVID . Was advised to phone 611 and go to Kamloops Cell to fix the second phone due to a voice problem. By this time I was very frustrated. Highly recommend these guys! Needed the headphone jack on my phone replaced. Took an hour to fix (just like they said it would) and cost me $60 (just like they said it would). Super nice and friendly (not awkward or condescending like some tech guys are), and you get a 90 day warranty on repairs. Would definitely go back!

I purchased a screen protector with a 'lifetime warranty' It was installed poorly and had dust specs under the protector. I was told they would repair themselves but they didn't. When I went back to get several defects fixed they refused to honor their warranty. Don't waste your money here, staples and best buy are in the same area and offer actual quality

Update: Brought my iPad back in and they looked at it right away and it has been working properly since Brought my iPad in to get the screen replaced on it and when I got it back a couple hours later I was impressed until I went to use the front camera the next day and there was something blocking it. Not being from Kamloops with the Covid-19 situation made this more frustrating but I brought it back in the next time I was there, got it back 5 hours later and they said their was a piece of plastic in front of it, so I looked at it and it was fine but now the home button doesn’t work very well and the touch screen doesn’t respond sometimes. So once again when a trip to Kamloops was needed I brought it back and they said they need a day or 2 with it as they are backed up but I was unable to leave it as my boyfriend needs it and when I asked about a refund they said they still would need the device for a bit so they could take their parts back. So I am now out $125 with a device that worked better with a smashed screen.

Kamloops Cell Repair is awesome, they did a great job getting my Samsung fixed. When another small issue with my phone emerged a few weeks later, they fixed it right away under their warranty. If you're looking for a trustworthy place to drop your phone off I would recommend these guys because of their excellent customer service.

Screen they put on my phone was installed incorrectly and the entire camera lens filled with dust in a matter of weeks, said they would replace screen and needed to order it in. Day before screen came in, the screen cracked. I called to ask them if they had my screen in stock and could repair it and now they won't replace it for warranty, even though they had already seen the original issue that was there fault. Plus none of the damage is over the camera lens they installed improperly, so their error is still in plain sight. I was offered a pathetic discount that barely covered the taxes. Apparently the front camera that was damaged by their installation is no longer their problem. WOULD NEVER RECCOMEND.

Had a battery replaced on my old iPhone 5 a few years ago, after being ASSURED it was a brand new, Genuine Apple battery, and the “new” battery was worse than the original (dead in 20-30 minutes). I gave up after they replaced it on warranty once and it was no better. I’m pretty sure they were installing $10 EBay batteries. Just recently HAD to take my work iPad mini to them to replace the screen (I recommended not doing so, due to my past experience and experiences from other people I know. I got it back and the home button immediately disappeared under the screen and can’t be used. The screen quality was also poor and much lower resolution than the original. Brought it in and had it “repaired” under warranty. After that, the touch screen exhibited poor response and randomly selecting areas I was not tapping/touching. Now, 3 months later (off warranty) the home button again is disappearing under the glass screen (just like the first time), and can’t be used. I’m sick and tired of this company and their selling poor quality aftermarket parts, trying to pass them off as genuine quality. I wouldn’t spend one more dollar of my own money here.

Don’t bother getting your cell fixed with these guys. It’s expensive and won’t last. They charge like your getting oem parts, but theyre knock off garbage will fail shortly after install. Better to spend your money on a new phone. Will not use them again.

I must say this repair facility dose a really great job when it comes to doing screen replacements. I first had a screen done on a LG g5 due to a problem with bleed through and this store had a replacement and was able to accommodate me to a new screen - a great job was done - although the speed of the repair was a Bit slow which I can see they take above and go beyond to make sure it's done right the first time - cant complain about that.. The phone looked great as if I just bought it brand new. Well again - this time I brought a LG g6 into them to get a new screen to which was in a Bit worse off as it was shattered and I was a Bit worried that the PC board might be damaged too but to my surprise they had a new body and screen replacement - even a new colour , a sky blue which looked great. Well again it took a bit of extra time as they went beyond and took great care of me - wow I was impressed!! Another great job done and the phone is back up and running with a new cool blue body and new screen. I highly recommend this facility to bring in phones for repair as I can see they know what they can do and do it best and go above and beyond - way-da go team you're a credit to the profession and do such fantastic work to the point as if I sent the unit back to the manufacturer to get repaired. The manorism is very good - polite staff - clean and simple surroundings a good display of new and used phones - and pricing is very reasonable with quality as good as if you sent it to the manufacturer. I wish there was six Star review ratings but 5 ???????????????????? + + will have to do. Keep up the great work and awesome service, as I hope this review will bring you more business... I found these guys to be dishonest. The price they quoted me was ridiculous- then seemed very irritated that I didn't want to go thru with repair. I got it fixed elsewhere for half the price and the other location showed me the damage that this place did to my phone. I returned to show them the damage and was told the tech had already been fired. They offered me a refund for the part they damaged. I asked why they didn't offer a fair price in the first place???? Bad business practices.

I had a few issues following the repair and I expected to have a struggle to get them fixed, but they went above and beyond to correct my problems. I highly recommend them. They replaced my new screen again and everything works 100% now.

CHARGED ME FULL PRICE FOR BREAKING MY PHONE! Simply had this establishment replace the battery for an IPhone. once it was completed, the Touch ID and the speaker no longer functioned. Rather than performing a test post assembly, they completed the transaction, after leaving I quickly realized the issue, called back to inform them of this, and returned to have them re-install the plug connections, as it was clear by the message on the screen that the particular Touch ID/speaker connection was not fully set. The 5s model is known to be notorious for difficulty making the full connection on this plug, which I suggested to the tech. He tried it once, could not set it properly, and attempted to pass the issue off to blaming another establishment that previously might have worked on it, but it has never been sent in for repair until now. Rather than diagnosing and fixing the issue, he told me to leave it with him until he could find time due to the high volume of customers at the time. As I do not reside in Kamloops this was not an option, and so it came down to “we’re sorry there’s not much we can do”. NO star rating. Quite disappointed in the performance and service. And I’m certain I’ll hear the same response to this review as all the others such as “ We’re always willing to discuss the issue...etc” Discussing it does not fix it. Paid full price and gained a malfunctioning phone.

Paid $90 to replace my phone screen+new screen protector (which they did a good job of) but half an hour after I received it back, the whole lighted display wasn’t working and they said it’d be fixed at no charge. After the got the call saying it was done, picked it up and they said I have to pay another $100 to fix the part if I want it fixed. Wasn’t too pleased.. Probably won’t be coming here again. Hopefully all phone issues will be resolved the second time around.
