Après 1 ans d'utilisation d'un ordinateur payé dans les environs de 4000$ qui a été fait directement auprès du propriétaire qui ne semblait pas vouloir me laisser parler à mon conseiller favoris. j'ai fait une découverte assez décevante après plusieurs heures à fouiller après avoir remarqué que ma mémoire vive (ram) allait à une vitesse de 1270mhz sous la vitesse que je devais avoir pour finalement me rendre compte dans mon bios qu'il avait été underclocked (réduire le voltage du matériel pour en réduire l'efficacité et la consommation énergétique), en gros le matériel fonctionne beaucoup moins bien que prévu donc vous y retourner pour faire des upgrades/ajout en vous disant que votre ordinateur ne fonctionne pas autant qu'il devrait, vérifier avec un expert si vous avez fait un achat de grande valeur. Certainement je n'y retournerai plus jamais et j'évalue même actuellement mes possibilités légal, je ne recommende à personne.

Good store, but service quality isn't like it was during say 2005-2012, the change of owner shows a lot. Even if you tell one of the technicians that you work in their general field (network admin in my case, didn't take Computer Science, but close enough, one would think?), some of them always want to contradict you or if you agree on something, they'll be arguing that something even better could be done or give "supplemental" info that is unrelated to your question. Placing orders for products by phone, even if you are a customer since the beginning, since the change of ownership, one's account was reset to zero dollars spent at their shop, which is ridiculous...they'll question as to why you want to add something a bit uncommon to your desktop PC, say, replacing the useless floppy bay with an usb 2.0 ports that fits the bay, I have 8 usb ports on my desktop, too bad they're not 3.0, but it's the kind that is plugged to an extension port on a motherboard made for adding USB ports, the why I want such a thing (which I ended up buying on ebay from China) should not matter to them, if they want to sell pieces. They used to be very friendly to people who want to build their pc's, choose every piece etc. they'll always try to sell you something more expensive first then forget what was the product you asked if they had in store and if not, if they could order it. I tried ordering 50 packs of double layer DVD-R's before I had my Blu-Ray Burner/player by phone, they had some in stock once, and every other time they never called back despite saying they ordered some. They seem to think they always know better than the customer since the ownership change, it's quite sad since it was one of the best independent computer store in town, now all the independent shops merged together and their prices are awful, very often, it's better to go at Staples to get what you want. Oh and they used to close down at 9pm 5 days a week, not so anymore, now Mondays and Tuesdays it's 9 to 5:30 PM. On a positive note, they do a very good job at repairing what is repairable, when the swollen caps issue was around in the late '00s, they would, if they had a used motherboard of the same model, manage to change the caps on what most other places would say, you've got broken capacitors you need to change motherboard, not them, at least not in 2012 when that happened to me, made a motherboard I had bought in 2005 last 10 years, as I expected when I paid big money to get a desktop that would not become an "old" slow machine 2-3 years later. So if you've got something to get repaired, even something you don't know that's causing the source of the problem, consider them and if you're lucky you'll go there when one of the two out of 8 or so techs that are polite and know how to speak with customers, loyal ones at that, will be working that day. To be clear, they have merged with Informatique Saguenay, Roussel Informatique and another store and now are one entity, so driving to the Chicoutimi borough will not help, they share employees and have the same boss now. Other options in Saguenay are Staples, Best Buy, Walmart I guess, I never go there, maybe they are like in the US now and have a better computer/electronics dept. than the last time I went there, 17 years ago..
