I work a second job from our home which requires my computer. I value my time just like everyone else. Jay provides excellent customer service in many ways. He has always answered my texts and phone calls immediately; there have been some times when he has talked me through issues over the phone. If needed, he provides home service as well in a timely fashion. I have also taken my computer to his shop in Jasper for many years now for upgrades and have been completely satisfied each time. Jay is an honest and trustworthy professional who cares about the quality of his work and satisfaction of his patrons. I feel secure knowing that my computer needs are safe with Jay's!

I have taken 2 computers to Jays for repair over the past year. The first one he could not figure out what was wrong after having my computer 2 weeks and changed me $25.00. I asked him to build me a computer left my phone number and name he never got back with me! The second one the power switch would not work I was told they do not open up computers to make any kind of repairs. Guess they do not offer repair service. Very disappointing I do not recommend anyone takes a computer here for any type of service.

I contacted Jay's through their online messaging system with a pretty far-out fix. They responded VERY quickly and helped determine that parts were not available. Chris went beyond what I would normally expect (especially having lived on the west coast and several other countries) to try and help. You better believe I'm coming to Jay's when I need electronics repair work done, and I'm recommending to my friends!

I was sold a computer a year ago by a Vincent Dupire "The Computer Guy", shortly after he went out of business along with $450 of credit due to a return of faulty monitors. Beggining of Dec '18 my computer stopped working without notice and was not backing up my business data with Quickbooks to my external hard drive. I took it into Jay's computer and was informed that "The Computer Guy" had charged me for a high end gaming pc but built with all remanufactured components and was completely dead. Jay with his infinite wisdom came to my aid, he was able to access my files/data and transfer to my external hard drive so I wouldn't loose an entire year of sales, estimates, and payroll data. This is a task I could've never done on my own. He was extremely helpful in building me a PC that fits my actual needs (being a business PC not a gamer) at a third of my original cost with "The computer Guy". I'm going to start of by saying I do design work with my computer for work and NEED it every day to do my job. I have a 6 year old HP dv7 Laptop. Anyways, over the weekend, a while back, the CPU cooling fan went out on my computer. Of course, with the danger of my computer overheating I had to get this fixed asap. Since I have fixed and replaced a few other small things on my computer I looked into what it would take to swap out this little fan. The part only cost about $15, but installing it looked over my head. I decided to take it to the geniuses at Jay's Computer Repair. I expressed to them that I use this computer daily for work. After speaking with one of the staff members about the problem, he told me that it will most likely take about 4 days, unless the part had to come from a hardware warehouse oversees, worst case, 2 weeks. I told them to expedite the shipping if possible. I was told I would be contacted about the part, (cost and shipping time). I wasn't. Concerned, a week later and with little to do at work I drove to there location on the square in Jasper and asked about it. They told me that they thought Jay had ordered it and he would contact me. He didn't. I called a couple days later and asked if the part had been ordered. Finally 9 days later they had ordered the part and it was going to have to come from oversees. 5 WEEKS PASSED. I called and stopped in to ask if the part had come in. I told the workers to update me on the status of the shipment. They didn't. Week 7 I bought a new computer, so that I could continue with my work and keep my customers happy. Upset with the cost of my new computer I stopped in at Jay's and complained for the 40th time. They told me that the part "must have got lost during shipping" and they were going to have to reorder it. Naturally pissed, they offered that I could take my computer with me or they could keep it and install the fan when it come in. Since it was completely disassembled I opted for this option. Again the part had to come from oversees and "would take anywhere from 4 days to 2 weeks to come in" Again I asked if I could be updated on the shipping of the part. I wasn't. Finally, 2.5 MONTHS after I first brought it to Jay's I got a phone call that it was done. My 71 day ordeal cost me about $76 dollars, and seems to have resolved the issue. Maybe, if the staff would spend less time smoking cigarettes and more time focusing on customer service and computer repair they could do a better job. I will never return to Jay's.

Jay's Computer's & Repair Service are great, no they are awesome! Jay, James, & I think Tim, (sorry other staff I can't remember your name,) are ALL great computer techs and great people. If your having problems, don't mess things up worse, STOP, take the computer to Jay's to get it fixed. I understand computers and tech fee's cane be expensive, but save some money up, quit going out to eat, stop smoking, drink less, and take the money and get your computer fixed by Jay or JAMES, or Tim. The whole s/taff is great. I was having Windows 7 issues, I didn't update till today, 02/08/2020. Microsoft STOPPED sending patches, updating their Windows software in December of 2019. My machine started to show issues and I took it straight to Jay's, a few days later it's back and ALL my data was still there. You won't regret going to Jay's. Thanks again guys and gals. J.R.
