I'm took my Galaxy S3 for a screen repair that costed$ 220 and the guy told me that I have a 90 day warranty. Not even a month and a half later, the glass literally took off on it's own and broke apart. I called back to see what could be done and the guy said sorry we didn't tell you that you're supposed to use a case with it because we don't use OEM parts, but I'll make you a deal to fix it for 150 bucks. What happened to the warranty? The guy didn't even care about it a second! You can expect a complaint to the Office of Consumer Protection that's for damn sure and possibly a lawsuit in small claims court.

FOR ANYONE CONSIDERING BUYING OR TRADING A PHONE: I decided a little over a week ago that I wanted to switch from my iphone 5 to an android phone compatible with wind mobile. Rather than deal with the grind of classified sites to accomplish the trade I went into the appster store on st-joseph. I traded my mint iPhone 5 and an old android they could use for parts and in exchange got a samsung galaxy mega. I was promised that if the phone had any problems that it was on warranty and would be fixed AND after paying an unlock fee i was promised the phone would work with Wind. Needless to say the phone did not work with that carrier and whats more is that its touch screen ceased to function merely a week after owning it. The man who had initially done the trade with me told me that he didn't know what was wrong with it OR if their warranty would cover the problem claiming that it was a Samsung issue which was a statement that still does not make sense to me. He offered several replacement phones that were of considerably lesser value that my my iphone 5 all of which i refused. I told him that I was no longer interested in trading with their store and asked fir my iPhone 5 to be returned to me. He claimed that the iPhone had been used for its screen. I was given an iphone 4 as a loaner and told to wait as he would attempt to repair the galaxy mega I was given. I was phoned by him at a later time and told that he would have a galaxy note 2 as a replacement on Tuesday if I was interested and would not tell me what had gone wrong with the galaxy mega. I accepted to pick up the note 2 on Tuesday and waited the weekend. I called the store on Tuesday (today) asking for my replacement phone when the man on the line told me that they were closed for the Quebec holiday and would not do any business. at this point I had had enough and told him that all I wanted was for my iPhone 5 to be returned to me. He once again told me that they could not do anything today and told me I would need to call tomorrow. Through out this mess I had not once had the opportunity of speaking to the individual who owns this store and therefor asked to employee on the phone if there was any way that i could speak to the owner regarding this mess and was told that the owner will not speak or deal with his customers. Really? He will not acknowledge ANYONE who does business with him? They very people who keep his store open? At this I am livid; I have traded my Iphone 5 just to end up with an iphone 4 whilst I am kept in the dark about my phone OR a replacement. I feel cheated and robbed and sincerely regret EVER doing business with appster. I feel as if they have stolen my phone! Perhaps the owner would be so kind as to respond to this review and rectify the situation by returning my property to me as should have been in the first place, I would love to hear from the person in charge. APPSTER: GIVE ME MY PHONE BACK!!

Great service with new employees! The owner is now back and does the repairs himself. Old employees were thieves and didn't know what they were doing. The prices were great (took 2 phones and an iPad, and got a good deal compared to other places in Ottawa/Gatineau). Overall very satisfied with the new guys!

Strongly recommend not taking your phone here for repairs. My wife took her S3 and not only did they take several more days than promised, they did not even keep her SIM card with the phone so we ended up having to get a new SIM card and wasting time calling our provider to have the number switched over. Other than a half-hearted apology, there was nothing tangible from Appster offered for this complete waste of our time. In addition, looking at their work desks, and the complete lack of organization thereof, I would be very surprised if we received the original parts of our phone. Strongly suggest going somewhere else - you might pay a bit more but this was definitely a case of penny-wise, pound foolish.

Went there with dead Galaxy s3. The guy I met was very kind. Tried to fix it but no success, and as he promised I didn't have to pay because the fix didn't work. He also offered to buy my dead phone for parts and gave me honest advises on what to buy according to my needs. Eventually I didn't buy there because they didn't have what I was looking for, but my feeling was very positive.

I brought him my phone with a broken screen and the result of the repair is heartbreaking: the screen and the backplate took off, the camera no longer worked, the Bluetooth and the wifi worked badly. The replacement screen was of poor quality, with visible defects and the replacement backplate was not even the right color !! It took several calls and visits before getting the phone back. In his discharge, when I brought the device back to him, he changed the back plate, repaired the camera and tried to glue the screen and the plate back, free of charge. However, it still took time, I had to run after it, it was still taking off and there were always problems with Bluetooth and wifi. Since it took off easily, I decided to open it to discover the pig job that was done. There was glue everywhere and there were only three screws out of ten! The antenna connector was bent, obviously it had been forced. The assembly of the battery and the motherboard was no longer as compact and forced against the back plate, which did not help to glue it back ... In conclusion, avoid Appster if you don't want to waste time and money. (Original) Mauvaise expérience... Je lui ai apporté mon téléphone avec un écran brisé et le résultat de la réparation est navrant : l'écran et la plaque arrière décollaient, l'appareil photo ne marchait plus, le Bluetooth et le wifi fonctionnaient mal. L'écran de rechange était de mauvaise qualité, avec des défauts visibles et la plaque arrière de rechange n'était même pas de la bonne couleur!! Il a fallu plusieurs appels et visites avant de ravoir le téléphone. À sa décharge, quand je lui ai ramené l'appareil, il a changé la plaque arrière, réparé l'appareil photo et tenté de recoller l'écran et la plaque, sans frais. Cependant, ça a encore pris du temps, il a fallu que je cours après, ça décollait toujours et il y avait toujours des problèmes avec le Bluetooth et le wifi. Puisque ça décollait facilement, j'ai décidé de l'ouvrir pour découvrir le job de cochon qui a été fait. Il y avait de la colle un peu partout et il ne restait plus que trois vis sur une dizaine! Le connecteur de l'antenne était tordu, visiblement il avait été forcé. L'assemblage de la batterie et de la carte-mère n'était plus aussi compact et forçait contre la plaque arrière, ce qui n'aidait pas à la recoller... En conclusion, évitez Appster si vous ne voulez pas perdre temps et argent.

Loved this place. I was recommended by Best Buy and although it was small it had everything I needed. The service was excellent and they did not charge me to install a battery. The price was literally half of what Apple was going to charge me. You will not be disappointed coming here.
