Fast service. Did not know that when they repaired my broken macbook screen that they were replacing with a used screen, charged me for original market price of a new screen. Screen works, but the bottom of the screen is glitchy (as shown in pictures) (shows black too far up so I can't see which apps I have open and shows the bottom part of the bar before I've signed in.) Unfortunately will probably have to take it somewhere else when I have the money to get a new screen or purchase a new macbook.

The technician is very responsible. I’ve come here for several times (bad luck for my laptops). After I spilled coffee on my laptop, my keyboard stopped working completely. I took my laptop to PC Repair Center to get the problem diagnosed and to see further options. A friend suggested to check this shop out when i had bricked my bios, all other said they either couldn't do it or it wasn't worth it. i brought it to this place and it was fixed the following day. also brought a 8gb gpu to him that had overheated which cause a chip to arc to the back plate making all kinds of smoke and sparks, once again I was told that it wasn't worth repairing, so i brought it to this place and it was fixed the following day with a 2 month warranty and so far it works great. This is easily the best repair shop around and ill be bringing more later today or tomorrow for repairs

A store that believes firmly in the old cliché, "you get what you pay for". I brought in a Late 2009 27-inch iMac that had experienced another round of GPU issues that rendered the computer useless. This store was recommended to me by another highly rated repair shop in Hamilton, which vouched for Mike's ability to fix more complex issues like this. For those not familiar with iMac GPU issues it is when the computer boots up and locks up on the Apple screen with yellow, blue, or pink vertical lines on it and you are usually unable to boot into anything other than recovery mode. This is very difficult issue to resolve, as "new" or quality used parts are limited for these older machines and Apple no longer supports replacing old hardware, which is a understandable but a shame since it is a known issue how iMacs overheat due to their poor thermal design (great looking slim exterior, which unfortunately comes with a poorly cooled interior). Inevitably this issue will occur with all iMacs and similar slim Macs when the machines are not kept cool enough. Fortunately Mike was able to take a look at the iMac and replace the GPU chip to get the computer fully back up and running. There also doesn't appear to be many places around that can offer this service and Apple authorized repair shops won't touch this issue as they cannot put a warranty on this type of work. Other cheaper fixes online include baking the graphics card in an oven or paying someone $100-$250 for reheating/reballing the old GPUs but the success rate is much lower. Mike seemed extremely knowledgeable with these advanced repairs, and also aware of these other cheap temporary fixes. He was clear the computer would have to be diagnosed first and honest that repairs like this are never guaranteed to work 100%. Mike is passionate about his work, and I'd recommend his service for repairs like this. These types of fixes are not quick and simple, so I'd also recommend being patient and allowing at least 5-7 business days to ensure the job gets done properly. You can also expect to pay approximately $250-$400 for a job like this, which is a lot for an older machine, but so far completely worth it. This pricing is also comparable to what I had to pay Apple to replace the graphics card in 2014 for the same issue ($300 when the part was still readily available through the Apple store). I had the iMac repaired on March 14th, 2019 and so far everything is still running just fine. I'll update the review if necessary, and to anyone else with this issue I'd recommend installing an app like Macs Fan Control to monitor temperatures of the machine and have more control over the fan speeds to keep the hardware cooler.

Took water damaged MacBook, not turning on at all, to Jump+, guy said I’m better off buying a new one, charging $60 for diagnostics. Went here instead, she opened the labtop in front of me first, charged $20 for further diagnostics, had it ready to pick up in four days for only $300. It completely works, running as usual! Really impressed by their transparency, communication, speed, and, good prices.

absolutely terrible! I wish I had zero star option to give. First of all, there was a guy who could not communicate at all, so I had to explain 10 times that my laptop does not turn on. He took it for a test and after charging me for 60$, My laptop could not be fixed, so I bought a new one. Today, after one year, I took that old laptop to someone else to repair, and he said how come your ASUS VIVOBOOK has only 2G of RAMs instead of 16 G? Yes, they replaced the 16 G RAM of mine with a 2G and I did not notice since the laptop had problem and wasn’t turning on. I noticed that after almost a year, and can’t do anything, but I am hopeful someone reads my comment and be aware of these things.

Very good customer service. A while ago, I wanted to buy a new charger for my laptop because my old one was not working anymore. Instead, the shop owner identified immediately that it was just a cablebreak, and rather than selling me an expensive charger he sold me the cable, which was quite cheap. A little while later, the cable broke. I went back there to get a new one. The shop owner explained to me how to prevent this from happening and gave me a new cable. When I wanted to pay him for it, he refused the money. The shop owner has a good heart, and genuinely wishes to help and fix your computer problems.

I went here based on the Google rating and nearby distance but now only go here for computer, electronic troubles and/or advice. I do find him a little bit hard to understand so he’ll get a tad frustrated with me. But, he’s honest. He’s always bluntly forward and will give me advice and opinions on courses of action without pay. He looked after my laptop and added some of screws missing on the bottom — just because. I didn’t know until I got home. If I have trouble, I’ll relay the issue and he’ll advise me solutions without charge and then tell me to come again if they don’t work. I feel his sincerity, genuineness, and integrity in his work. *And, he’s skilled at it.* I highly, highly recommend you come here as I will continue to do.

BTW the owner is rude, he kept interupting me and didn't even give me the chance to explain the problem of my laptop. They claimed that they checked my laptop which, according to them, would need a nother board replacement. I paid them for diagnosis as I didn't want to spend 2/3 rd of the price of the laptop. I brought it back home and decided to give it a try. All I did was remove the parts and reassembled and it runs perfect now. So, my suspicion is- they charged me without checking it and would charge me another $150 for nothing.

Fantastic, swift and super service. My laptop stopped charging since December 2020 ,bought 2 brand new replacement chargers and yet it don't work so I figured the charging Jack was bad. Went everywhere inside this lockdown and got disappointed. Bestbuy said it would take 20eorking days to fix this and I had to make a ridiculous amount as deposit. I refused and walked away. 6weeks after I decided to check on Google and found this shop. I handed in my laptop and got called 1 hour later that it was ready. Laptop works like magic and totally blew me away at the speed of attending to the fault. I will always recommend these guys for all PC related repairs.

If you're looking for a place in Hamilton that will do motherboard repairs of computers at the component level, this is the one I'd recommend. My Macbook Pro would no longer turn on, and searching online led me to guess it was most likely a failure of a component on the logic board. Rather than buy a whole new logic board ($300-$400) and attempt to install it myself, I called around at the best-reviewed places in the city to get quotes for repair of the existing one. This place was both cheaper (by a significant amount) and had more flexible business hours. I later learned there's a reason for cost being cheaper- other computer shops in the city send difficult repairs to this shop. Save yourself the markup and go direct to the technician here. If you ask, he'll show you the components he replaced. My Macbook also had keyboard issues, and he installed a new keyboard at a very reasonable price.

I initially offered a good review for PC Repair Center, but I have revoked it after a year of struggle. I spilled wine on my Macbook air last May2020 and took the computer to PC repair after reading good reviews. They diagnosed it, were professional and efficient. They said the battery, keyboard and trackpad were damaged and offered what I thought was a fair price for the fix. I brought the computer home and was very happy, only it wouldn't charge. I thought it was my busted charger so I went out and bought a new one. Still, it didn't charge. I brought my computer back to PC Repair and told them what was happening, they looked at it and replaced the battery. I took the computer home and all seemed fine, but within a month it again wouldn't charge. By this point I had spent several hundred dollars on my computer, was unemployed due to covid and couldn't afford to do anything else. I decided not to bring it back to PC Repair because clearly they weren't fixing the problem. Fast forward nearly a year, I finally have work again and can get my laptop seen too. I took my computer into an Apple Authorized Store this time. Not even an hour later they called me back to say that nearly every component inside the computer was damaged, and the replaced parts which were a low quality third party were quickly burnt out by the unresolved damage in the computer. This other store told me the computer was not worth what it cost to fix and didn't charge me a dime. What are my concerns with PC Repair? 1. They severely under-diagnosed my computer, costing me money that didn't fix my problem. 2. They are NOT apple certified, but claim to be. I called apple support, there is no record of this company having ever met any of the criteria to be a registered apple repair shop. 3. They do not use decent quality parts, these are expensive computers! Their parts will be pricier because they last. I wanted the best for this place, it was local to me and the owners seemed genuine and kind. Honestly, I feel duped. A costly lesson for me. I have no doubt the store will reply to this review as they have most of their poor reviews, but please just consider getting two places to look at your computer before deciding where to get it repaired. This whole experience has really sucked and going through lockdown without a computer has not helped.

Went to one place before this, they were able to diagnose my phone, however seeing as it was the motherboard they weren’t able to fix it. So I called around a few different places until I found PC Repair Centre and they said they were able to do motherboard repairs so I went to them and only a day later I had my iPhone 6s Plus back with all my data including my photos and videos still intact. I am very happy with their service and they were very friendly and understanding with my situation. So grateful and happy to have my photos and videos back! I 100% recommended this place and I will definitely go back if I require their services again!

Despite the name PC Repair Center, saw on Reddit that a number of people recommend this place for repairs to Apple products. Had an old iMac with a 500G hard drive in need of a possible upgrade to a Solid State Drive. Not only was my computer upgraded (to a 960GB SSD), but the owner took time out to explain what needed to be done, the cost breakdown, and had the whole project done fairly quickly despite being fairly busy. Had some other work done at this location and the Westdale one and everything works like a charm. Reasonably priced, IMO. Would definitely recommend!

Extremely quick (1 day service!), reasonable prices, warranty included, and honest people! After searching for what felt like forever for a store that would be open on Sunday (since no other store is!) I was able to find this one just across McMaster, which was super convenient! I went there in the afternoon, and the technician of the store was super quick at diagnosing what was wrong with my laptop and quoted me an extremely fair price. He also made sure to tell me that in case it wasn't the problem he thought it was, he'd phone me first and ask if I would like to continue with the repair as the fee might be higher. Even if it ended up being just simply the first problem he thought, I really appreciated the honesty and the fact that he wanted to make sure I was okay with any necessary fee increase in case of anything! I got a phone call the *very next day* telling me my laptop had already been fixed. When I came in, the laptop worked perfectly, and he even told me just to make sure of a few things for the next time and to change a few things so that my laptop would run smoother. Also got a warranty for 2 months for my repair (motherboard needed to be changed/fixed) so I feel safe using my laptop now. Super happy with this place, and I'll make sure that they're the very first store I go to in case any of my electronics ever fail me again!

After a failed attempt to install an upper case on my MacBook Pro, I brought my laptop into PC Repair Centre. There are very few people outside of Apple that are qualified to perform extensive repairs to Apple products, and their technician is one of them. I couldn’t name another soul in Hamilton that can perform diagnostics, assembly, and soldering like he does. He was kind enough to thoroughly explain the difference between models built between 2009 and 2013, and why particular pieces (my upper case) were incompatible with other models. He did not return my laptop until everything was fully functional. Just a word of advice: do not attempt an extensive repair on your own if you are not 100% confident in your own skills. Save the money and headaches by coming here first.

The owner was very rude. Tried to sell me a product (laptop charger ) without even listening to my concerns. Edit: I am not quite sure why the management uses "illegitimate review" as a cop-out to every single negative review they get - even before trying to ascertain if the customer is real! Or, just a thought, trying to provide good customer service by asking the customer about their experience and trying to resolve it. This is just a small glimpse into their rude and unprofessional behaviour. I was there and wanted to buy a charger. But before doing so, I had some questions about it's compatibility with my laptop. The staff (who identified himself as the owner) kept cutting me off mid-sentence and waving off my simple questions. Look at the other comments. They are consistent with this theme of his rudeness! Listen, there are a hundred other stores in the city that can sell you good stuff at the same prices. The difference between them and this store is that they are actually pleasant to talk to.

My computer couldn't be turned on because it was in the water. I found this store on Google Maps. The owner of this store is particularly good, both in terms of service attitude and maintenance technology. Especially the maintenance master gave me good advice. Because my version of MacBook Pro has been around for a long time, there are a lot of internal problems. The repairman found these problems and helped me solve them when he was repairing my computer. WHY A PROFESSIONAL TECHNICIAN REFUSED TO LISTEN TO THE CUSTOMER WHILE HE OR SHE EXPLAINING WHAT WAS WRONG WITH THE LAPTOP? WHY A PROFESSIONAL TECHNICIAN JUST SIMPLY ASK THE CUSTOMER TO LEAVE THE LAPTOP THERE? HOW DID I IGNORE YOU BY EXPLAINING WHAT HAPPENED WITH MY LAPTOP? The first Sentence he said was leave the laptop here and come back tomorrow. (that was actually the second sentence, the first was to ask me not putting my bag on the counter) He did not even give a glimpse to me or my laptop. He even tried to trick me paying for a simple system re-installation. All I did was asking what problem my labtop had, explain what happened with my laptop, what I did before I came in and whether he could save my file, but he said "this is not a school, you pay and come back tomorrow." and refused to answer my question until I forced him to spill the beans that he could not save my files. BTW, you just told me it is IMPOSSIBLE to save my files rather than unlikely to save my file. Is it not your job to listen to the customer while they were telling you what the customer needed from you rather than rudely interrupted the customer. Is it not your job to say in some situations you may save my files, some you may not? You FAILED to mention WHAT YOU SAID IN THE REPLY. You DID NOT even mind looking at the laptop.I was the ONLY customer in store, I am pretty sure that you have a few minutes to tell me what options you have and how much does it cost, instead of telling me PAY AND GO. Usually scammers do pay and go. How do you explain that ypu want us to leave the laptop and comeback tomorrow without asking what happened with it? Do you dare to post surveillance as proof? It is no point to say anything just post the surveillance video and put a link down there, so people can see how many eye contacts you had. Ususally surveillance video stored in hard drive for a week, you should still have it. If you want to prove what you said is true, post it, prove it that I was angry and refused to remove my bag. Why did you not listen to what I have to explain what happened with my laptop? According to other reviews, you did quite the opposite, right? Is it not TRUE that you said was to leave my laptop there and come back the next day? IF I was angry back the time why would I even bother to explain what happened to my laptop to you? DID I NOT SAY I JUST NEED TO EXPLAIN WHAT I DID WITH MY LAPTOP? Excellent service! I have had my laptop serviced at the big box store previously, but didn't feel great about what they had done. Here it was the complete opposite: they put me at ease and solved my issue very quickly at a good price.

This is my first google review ever after years of being a selfish consumer of others' experiences. I felt obligated to provide a review given my recent experience with PC Repair Center. I brought my MacBook Pro to a competitor who did some diagnostics, replaced the battery but then later informed me that my hard drive needed to be replaced as well (without any data recovery). Since this competitor did not have any parts in store and I needed my laptop back ASAP (it had already been 5 days in his possession) he suggested that I bring it to Mikey at the PC Repair Center (a competitor) for a solution. Mikey was able to properly diagnose the problem and fix it without losing my data or having to purchase a new hard drive, all in less than 24 hours. He was honest, transparent and I am grateful for his help. Apparently it's pretty common that people in my situation, who go to a competitor who is unable to properly fix the problem and may undergo unnecessary repairs to come to him for a second opinion. I wish I had gone to PC Repair Center first. In the future, I will not hesitate to go back to this location or his other location for any future computer repair needs.

Phone screen was changed for $70. There is dirt forming under the screen where my camera is. Also the class is easly scratched. My phone acreen also has burned on images.

Took my PC there so they could test out my components as I was upgrading my system and I couldn't figure out why it wasn't turning on. They told me my new MOBO was broken but ultimately after replacing the MOBO and trying other things it was the power supply that was actually the issue. Clearly they didn't correctly diagnose the issue as it's an easy test to just swap out components and see what works. Not great service from my personal experience. Dispite this, they seemed to be nice and professional.

I am so thankful to PC Repair! I have been looking everywhere for a good reliable, and reasonably priced imac. I stumbled upon this place by chance and I am so happy I did! Great prices, nice workers. They accidentally forgot to put my charge cord in the bag but were kind enough to get a hold of me to come back, when I got there they gifted me a keyboard and mouse for my troubles. Skip out on the big department stores. You do not get kind service like this anymore. I am going to recommend this place to all my friends and family :) Thank you again!

I spilled water on my Mac Pro on the day of my exam and was freaking out so I went to this place to get it repaired and the employee was really nice and fixed my laptop on the same day and even let me borrow a laptop in the meantime for me to continue cramming for exams. Price was reasonable, overall very good service.

Amazing pricing, very kind owner I came here to get my computer checked out and my battery replaced and when he found out the problem was only a few loose screws that the previous person I took it to he didn't charge me the full price for the repair. Very professional and everything is done on time and sometimes even sooner than when they said it would be done. Have been here around 2-3 times and will continue to come here whenever I have any issues with my PC. I started going to the Hamiton Main West PC Repair Center about a year ago. I had an issue with an old desktop and it was repaired very quickly and efficiently. The technician is very easy to talk to and approachable, I was very pleased. I returned to purchase a new desktop this past spring and again the technician took the time to explain the pros and cons of various types of desktops. I am not very technical so it was so helpful. He loaded everything I needed on the new desktop and transferred files from my old desktop too. I also bought a wireless keyboard and mouse. The price for everything was great and the service was amazing. I have gone back a couple times since that purchase when I don't understand how to change or do something on my purchases and the technician helps me right away and treats me with respect. Highly recommend PC Repair Center.

I spilt coffee on my laptop and it stopped working and wouldn't turn on, so I took it in to PC Repair Center and they were very helpful and explained that I needed to replace the motherboard, a few days later I had a problem with the keyboard (also because of the spill) and since it was still under warranty I took it in again and they looked at it right away and fixed the keys that weren't working the same day, they didn't charge me anything extra either, even though the first repair had nothing to do with the keyboard. Six of Five stars, highly recommend!

At every step of the process he would contact me to confirm his plans. He even gave me a discount because I am a student. 10/10 will be back!

Really Poor experience! I went there with my friend to repair his laptop and I have seen the whole process. All my friend did is taking out his computer, turning it on, demonstrating the issue and asking the owner if he could save the files from the disks. This may take 3-4 minutes, during which the owner was occupied with his own stuff without even giving a glimpse of my friend's laptop or asking any about it. I am pretty sure you were re-installing system for another computer when my friend was talking. And before my friend finished the owner told us that there was not a school and he could not teach how to repair. Probably you think too highly of yourself to be a teacher and we are here to fix the problem not pay for a lesson about how to repair laptop. Thank you for the poor experience at your place. Hopefully, you can change your attitude and try to be professional. Wish you the best.
