Hi Baby Petrie,
Thank you for your input, there is however one very important issue, you have posted against the wrong business. I rent a room from PC Repair Depot and run my Cell Phone Repair Shop inside the store. I would ask that you remove your posting from here and if you wish to you can re-post against Golden Cell Phone Solutions. I need at least one bad review, having a 5 star rating is hurting my business. Most reasonable people believe that in the general public there will always be someone that causes grief for a business. With too many 5 star posts people tend to believe they are fake posts. Reasonable people read the postings (both good and bad) check the reactions of the business then determine what they believe to be the plausible truth. They also realize crazy things can happen, like someone posting against the wrong organization.
I believe we went through a grand misunderstanding of each other in dealing with your phone. There are several important pieces of information missing from your post. First, I believe you told me that your phone simply up and quit on you one day. If I am wrong about this please correct me. These kinds of repairs have very low success rates and when they are successful they often cost much more than people are willing to pour into a phone. If a tiny chip or component went south in your phone specialized and often expensive equipment and experience is needed to get the phone going again. Looking back at this I don’t think you ever realized this, I apologize if I was not able to get the reality of your situation across to you. I went ahead with your repair hoping that there was perhaps moisture that had found its way into the phone and started to corrode causing high resistance to electrical flow. I treated your phone as I do a water damaged repair. At Golden Cell Phone Solutions water damage repair is both a give and a take scenario. Up front I work for free trying to get the phone going again and once it goes then you pay for the repair. Since your phone never ran for me you never paid a dime. I think this is an important point to get into your post.
Secondly, we had two talks, first when you initially came in, then another talk after I had opened the phone and ran diagnostics on it. During our second talk I recommended that we move forward with aggressive techniques that would "hopefully" allow the retrieval of your data. I tried to emphasize that your phone would be rendered useless after the repair and if it ran at all the only intention to running it would be to pull the data from the phone. It seems that you had the impression that "useless" meant that you would be able to take it back to Apple to get a new phone. I apologize for this misunderstanding, I truly meant "useless" in all ways, I also was given the distinct impression that the data on the phone was what you were really after. It seemed you were willing to sacrifice the phone in hopes of retrieving the data. Please do yourself the favor with your next phone and put it on the cloud so that you have a backup. If you need help I would be glad to assist for free.
With all of this said, it is important to note that your phone had been previously worked on prior to me opening it. I believe you had had the screen replaced at one time. This reality already meant apple would not replace your phone. This combined with the fact that I was working for free, with a phone that had little hope of running I gave it back to you without some of the peripheral parts in it. I assure you that there were enough parts in the phone to allow another shop to run it for the purposes of retrieving the data. But that shop would have a much higher price tag and would not be a small shop. I can point you to some of these type shops if you wish.
PC Repair Depot is very good shop to take your computer for repair. It’s not fair that you have posted against them. Please change this.
Thank You. -ian
