The young man I spoke with was very arrogant and rude. I recommend the kiosk in the stone and road mall. The stone road mall kiost is able to rewrite your phone to work with any company and they are very nice and informative I WILLL NEVER go to gew again.

I have a BB Z10 and the sound stopped working on the unit. Took it back to Bell store at Stone Road. I had been paying an extra $10/month on my plan for insurance on the unit against, loss, theft. breakage, etc. Was told I needed to pay a $250 deductible and that because my unit was 1yr old it really wasn't worth it. Went to Gew TV, 10 minutes and $40 later all fixed and ready to go. Service and value, a seemingly lost art in retail.

Probably the worst phone repair service I’ve had. Repair time is insanely long and there is a shocking lack of communication on the repairs being done. A repair that most other locations complete in a few days has taken two weeks and counting, and the only help received has been the employees telling me they have no idea when the phone will be ready.

They replaced the glass on my phone with crappy glass, not the OEM Gorilla glass that it came with. New glass shatters with the slightest of contacts...replacement glass has broken twice now. The phone also never worked the same after the repairs. I wish I had put the $100 it cost to fix my phone toward a new one or bought the replacement parts and did the repair myself.

I took my computer in for a replacement keyboard (I had the keyboard but was reluctant to put it in). I took it in at 4:00 pm and they thought they could have it ready for end of day for me. At 5:30 it was done! I was very happy to have it back so I could continue working. They were polite and friendly and I am much happier going there vs the other two computer stores I've gone to in Guelph. Definitely recommend.

Doesn't run like a business. Turnaround time for the repair was 3 weeks while I was advised 3-4 days. Lack of communication throughout the process, had to call several times to get an update on the timeline. Lack of details for the repair. Payment options are only cash or e-transfer while i was told the total repair was including taxes but there were no taxes and seems to have overpaid for the repair.

My girlfriend went in to repair her cracked phone screen and they charged her $30 which is a wonderful price! About a month later my phone screen cracks so with the knowledge of GewTv's price, I called them and they charged me $100 and denied of even charging her $30. Ridiculous

Brought my iPhone 7 + in for a screen replacement. They managed to screw up the front camera, my home button and my ear speaker. They finally fixed my screen, speaker and camera, but told me there is nothing they can do for my home button as it’s an Apple security feature and only Apple technicians can repair that. So now I have a defective home button on a semi brand new phone that cost $1000+ retail. Not only that, but we agreed to $150 multiple times and the guy tried to switch it up to $190 just before I got my phone back. Thought I’d be able to live with their mistake but I absolutely hate my phone now because I can’t do anything quick and easy anymore because i’m tapping my goddamn home button 1000 times just to get to my home screen.

Great service, great value--two thumbs up! Dropped my super-slow Macbook off with Sid at 1:30 and picked it up 2 hours later (that's about how long it was taking me to open an email before he wiped it...). He stayed long after the closing time to make sure it was done and showed me a bunch of tips and tricks while I waited. After all that, he gave me a free keyboard cover. I chose pink. It looks good--darn good. So now, my laptop is fast AND a little bit pretty, too. Most importantly, I no longer want to run it over with my car.

And when they cracked the new screen for my phone, instead of calling me to tell me it woukdnt be ready until the next day, they told me when I went back. And then I told them to call me when the phone was ready which they never did. I mean the phone was fixed for a decent price I'll give you that. And the staff were decent enough. dropped my phone and it needed repairs so i brought it here they needed to order a part that took them about a week and a half then they found out they needed another part they didn't even look at the phone until the first part arrived once the other parts arrived (2.5 weeks later) they tried fixing it only to come to the conclusion they couldn't. worst service ever never go here you will wait at least a month for most repairs.

I went in and met with Sid who diagnosed the issue with my Q10 and got my phone fixed in 30 minutes(this may not be applicable to all phones). It was only $40 for the replacement and I got a lesson on how the phone is actually built too! There's a 30 day warranty available(which is reasonable) and I'm now back to loving my crackberry.

This place is super honest and well priced. It's rare to find a place that will tell you how to do a repair yourself, rather than take your money to perform a very basic task. Turnaround time is fast on screen repairs etc... as well. I've been through a lot of phones and repair shops. This is my favourite!

Horrible customer service. Went there due to all of the "five star" reviews on its pages and was not expecting such a bad experience. Went to get a screen replaced on my girlfriends iPhone, they got mad at her for not charging it? Afterwords convinced her to change the screen on her other phone that she wasn't intending on keeping due to other issues. They said there was problems with both of the batteries even though battery problems have never been an issue with either of the phones. After phone was "fixed", the battery stopped working properly and the screen has been even worse than it was before. Just to add to this visit, he didn't even know where he put her phone case, and tried just gesturing her to take another one off the table when it clearly wasn't hers. I'd try calling other services before attending here, never going back to this place.

I was so happy with the service at GewTV. I bought a used phone there that was in very good shape but when i brought it home, turns out i didn't get the model i was supposed to. The owner of GewTV worked it all out for me, absolutely no hassles. I will definitely be a repeat customer. I also brought in my old iPhones and paid me for them - perfect way to reuse perfectly good phones. I'll be back. He sells a pretty cool Android tv box that streams may movies and programs.

MacBook Pro laptop battery stopped charging. They replaced the battery for 150 super good deal. Slightly unprofessional service but they’re nice guys and are clearly knowledgeable in both computer and phone repairs. They couldn’t figure out what was wrong at first so they took it into the apple store to check with the tech there for no extra charge which was great. Overall well run operation I would recommend.

Very bad experience. I took in my PC, was given a 1-2 day estimate and it has been 5 days with nothing done. I've called them after 3 days and had someone say they would check if it was done and get back to me, which never happened. Each time I call they say "we are still working on it". Don't go here if you want your stuff fixed within a reasonable time frame.

4 times they said to call back the next day for the part I needed. 4 times they said it didn't come in. If this is supplier issue, then they need to stop telling me to call back and instead get their act together, be organized, and call me when it comes in. Or, keep a larger inventory. They do seem to be knowledgeable and take the time to explain things. They just need to be more organized.

Brought my iPhone 6 here last week to repair my broken screen as I've came here three months before for a repair and their prices were reasonable, quick and flawless. My recent experience was different however. When I got my phone back recently, there was liquid marks under the LCD screen and my antenna was damaged. Currently, my phone shows "searching" instead of my carrier and i'm unable to call or text anyone. This place is either a hit or miss, bunch of idiot jokes

I called GewTV to get a quote to get my phone unlocked and the frame of my phone fixed. That would have been a great time for him to mention his location changed. Went downtown to the norfolk location to find that GewTV is no longer there. No sign on the door, nothing. Check online to find his new address is on Grange. Turns out the address is in a plaza with at least 20 different stores. Drive around for 10 minutes in the plaza looking for this guys shop- nothing to be found. I called him again only to find out he set up shop inside of a barber shop. This would have been great to mention to your customers. The barber shop has a piece of paper on the door for GewTV that no one can see. Go inside only to be told it isn't worth the money to replace the frame on my phone. Thanks for the honesty, but next time please tell me over the phone so I don't waste an hour of my time to locate you. And by the way, it's 90% cheaper unlocking a phone yourself. The internet is your friend. Thanks for the waste of time.

When I finally received a day that the fix would be completed, I called and the job was still not completed. This business really needs to be more transparent with it's customers and focus on getting organized. DO NOT GET YOUR PHONE FIXED HERE!

THIS PLACE SCREWED ME OVER! Im a student so I'm obviously short on cash and I payed $150 to get my phone battery replaced and screen repaired which they replaced the screen but put a defective battery in which was worse than my old one. Later that day, my screen went grey and I couldn't use the phone, which didn't even matter because the phone was useless and dying in under an hour anyways. So I brought it back and they informed me that they "didn't have any batteries and were waiting for a shipment to come in" SO THEY KNEW THE WHOLE TIME THAT THEY PUT A DEFECTIVE BATTERY IN AND DIDN'T TELL ME. Naturally I asked for a refund and said I would go elsewhere and they wouldn't do a refund but said they would replace it again. And once again they put in ANOTHER DEFECTIVE BATTERY. This place really screwed me over and Im down $150 which really sucks. These people do not have any integrity and I feel like I was taken advantage of because I don't seem like a tech savvy person. I would highly suggest to not go here EVER.

I had broke my iPhone 4S screen; front & back. I tried calling around and everyone said "one day service, drop it off anytime and pick it up tomorrow" I couldn't be phoneless for whole day, First took my phone to Rogers, they said go to Gew. I came to GewTV he said most of his repairs were less than an hour, and this iPhone was no problem. An hour later I couldn't believe it, my iPhone looked brand new! Great JOB!! Thank you so much!!

I needed to switch back to my iphone 4S from a new upgrade but my sim card was jammed in my 4S. took it to these guys and they got it out and replaced my broken sim card slot in less than 10 minutes! A few days later I went back because my 4S battery was giving me problems (it's an old phone!), and GewTV replaced my battery on the spot for a very reasonable price. Very kind people and committed to providing customer satisfaction. Would definitely recommend!

Today I got my MI phone serviced here and they did a fantastic job. I don't own a high end model phone but it is very close to my heart. Some service centers refused to work on my phone saying that they don't have technicians who worked on the model but GewTv fixed it as brand new. This just proves that Skill is different from knowledge and thanks guys for not treating my Phone as just another junk like how the others did.

Horrible wait times to get anything back from repair. They do not return phone calls nor do they trouble shoot properly. Gew TV had my computer for over a month but was unable to repair the unit. They still charged me for trying to reload windows. There are much better places in Guelph with a lot better service.

My MacBook Pro crashed on Friday night with a defective hard drive cable. Went in Saturday morning (yes, they're open on the weekend!) and expected a call Monday to detail what it needed and cost to do the repair. Got a call just under two hours later and the bad part was switched out and ready to pick up, at a very reasonable price. Love these guys. I have used their services about 6 times and was consistently bee happy. On at least 3 of those visits they saved me so much time, money and headache by giving me honest and open advice. One time Mustafa provided a quick service (3 min) that I found out later a friend had paid $80 for at a popular competitor at the mall. Another time they sent me to a competitor that was in a position to service something that they could have done but would've been more expensive. I read a ton of positive reviews before calling them and was generally optimistic but they have the worst customer service I have ever encountered. The man who answered the phone was rude, misquoted me, hung up while I was asking questions and then embarked upon a text campaign with name calling, threats and intimidation to discourage a negative review. he also implied that they encounter problems like this a lot and could care less. The response the owner posted speaks for itself. My boss never even set foot in their office and arranged for a pick up from his car because of the bad parking situation outside. Furthermore, the only person threatening legal action is company being reviewed. Instead of trying to bully or intimidate dissatisfied customers, how about just providing professional service?

I went here to get my iPhone camera replaced. Damn good price, a lot cheaper then I thought it would cost. Camera is working great, and the turn around time was really good. I was a bit disappointed that they didn't hit the cherry on top with the repair... there was a bit of dust behind the camera that could have been cleaned out just to make it "A JOB REALLY WELL DONE" They apologized and gave me a glass screen protector for free to make up for it. Summary: brought in an iPhone 5 with a known dock issue looking for a repair; they replaced the battery and when that didn't work gave me a lowball offer for my "broken" phone. The staff at GewTV are very nice and seemingly professional. Judging from the reviews, my experience seems to be out of the ordinary for this establishment. When dropping off my iPhone 5, I described the problem and error code (4013) - which describes an issue with the USB connection, cable, or dock connector. I was told to expect a call within a couple of hours after they had run their diagnostics. Several hours later, no call, so I finally called them 6 hours later, and they had not looked at my phone. The entire next day, still no call. I went to the store in person and was told they had tried "swapping the battery" but that hadn't fixed the problem, and there was nothing else they could do. I was offered $25 for what they considered a broken iPhone 5. Knowing the issue was not with the battery, I stopped at DataMatrix on my way home, bought a lightning connector, and performed the repair myself. My phone now works perfectly fine. For a store that prides itself on repairs, not knowing or even attempting to repair the lightning connector is a big failure. Then attempting to get my phone for a ridiculously low price is a bit shady. I will not be returning, or recommending them. 2 stars because they are nice, but overall, bad customer service and worse diagnostic ability.

These guys are amazing! They can fix and repair anything computer and cell phone and more!!!! They repaired my broken cell phone last year, and this year when my son was purchasing a used iPhone, Sid explained what we needed to look for and how to check if it was stolen. We actually met the seller at Gewtv and Sid checked out the phone, and spent time with us to make sure our purchase was solid. He put on a new glass screen cover on the iPhone and also my cell phone. Sid is exceptional at customer service!!! Don't waste your time going anywhere else. Gewtv is the best in the area!!!!!

I brought my MacBook Pro there to be fixed. There was an issue with an internal piece. They fixed the problem in a reasonable amount of time. When I brought my computer home I realized the screws in the bottom were sticking out oddly. Some were wiggly and some had been screwed in poorly and were stuck held in half out, cross-threaded like. I didn't have time to go back right away so I made a mental note of it. I went in the next time I was downtown and the guy at the counter was unable to offer any solution. He used a small driver to try and fix it but the cross-threading wouldn't allow the screw to go in straight again. At this point I have two screws that have fallen out of the bottom and only one which I can locate. All in all, they know what their doing with computers but when it comes to care and attention to external details I was disappointed and now need to get myself a small driver set and order new screws.
