Since i work from home, every time i need computer chairs, paper, computer desk or anything from printer to camera. they are always happy to help. today got a new computer chair 100$ off, and they asked if we wanted assembled/ delivered. got it 4 hours later. The customer service is 5 Stars. i have worked my whole life in it, and a smile and happy to help is always been a quality to this store. Great job Staples, continue doing the greatest :)

I was not happy with my experience on July 18, 2021. I double checked online for a specific item I wanted to purchase (Green gaming chair). Online inventory showed that there were 3 available in this color in this store. I then went to the store to purchase the item and the worker said he couldn't find it (only looking on his phone and the 2 bottom shelves) and suggested I get a different one however on our way to the checkout, I saw the exact chair I wanted on the top shelf. The worker called another guy to get the forklift as it was on the top shelf. The guy on the forklift said he needed a stick to reach the box, both workers insisted that this 'stick' was very important to get the item and told me that another worker misplaced the stick and they would have to get in touch with him to ask about the 'stick', which they said wouldn't happen that day. They kept insisting that they couldn't reach it and to buy a different one. The guy on the forklift made no effort to even try to reach the box, he literally just looked at it, and the first guy made no effort to look for the item I wanted to purchase. I honestly don't understand why they didn't want to sell me that green chair or why they didn't even want to look for the other 2 green chairs that were supposed to be available according to online inventory. I don't know if it was a racial thing, as I am Indigenous, but I was not happy with the customer service so I left, if I am going to be treated that way, then they did not deserve my hard earned money. My husband and I go to work everyday to provide for our children and this was supposed to be a birthday gift for our son that we were excited about. Nothing against Staples, but this store has bad customer service in my opinion.

We ordered a couple Catalogs to be printed for our business, we had been working on them for months so were extremely excited to have the first sample printed. We showed up and they were completely wrong, but this isnt a negative review. It was about 8pm (store closed at 9) and the woman in the print section (Delanie) was great to deal with. she got them reprinted properly and extremely fast and at the end of the day I got to take two perfect catalogs home to my wife. Had I had not had them... I would have been in for a bad time! I dont normally fill out online reviews, but figured it was required. We run a manufacturing/sales company that sells nationally and understand there are always going to be issues, but her desire to fix the situation when she simply could have blamed someone, told us to come back tomorrow and moved on really impressed.

Tried to get promotional pictures made and the website wasn't working, tried explaining how we could email them the pictures and have them done that way. They said it wasn't possible. This store is not what it is cracked up to be. I recently took in my USB stick in order to download some family photos, to make have some custom Xmas cards made. After 20 minutes of having to open up a " Staples" account, I was told my cards could not be made, because their system had a virus. Really? That does little to confirm my faith in their capabilities, given the fact they advertise as being a professional place that can assist small business!

Waited at the Online Pickup desk for 20 minutes with no help, ended up having to leave without my order. The store was not busy and there were at least 3 employees standing around nearby. When asking for help, they stated they had called someone. Apparently no one is trained to do this besides one person (who was apparently on a break)? That's ridiculous. Update: Went back in to once again try and pick up my order. Let me just reiterate how useless the employees are. I'm standing at the online pick-up counter, once again surrounded by employees doing nothing. There's literally one working AT the counter and completely ignores me for a few minutes until I have to ask to be helped. I have worked my fair share of retail and I understand it's not the most desirable job. However, I would NEVER just stand around and blatantly ignore a customer. This location is an absolute disgrace.

I went looking for two pocket folders. I asked the first employee about them and told him I was looking for as cheap as possible. He showed me packs and singles running as high as $2.00 each. As I was leaving I found some for $0.88 each. I remember seeing some online for an ever cheaper price. I decided to check and see if they were an online only special. They weren't but I found some that were $0.28 on sale for $0.10. It said online that there were nearly 2k in stock at the store. I took the picture up to the cashier's and asked where I could find these. I was directed towards pocketless report covers. I went back up again and this began a hunt only to find out that the entire stock was hiding in back on a high shelf and no one who was pallet jack trained was working.

They advertise that they recycle electronics but in reality they only want the easy to move around kind. Keep your photocopiers and big laser printers away. Personally I think that's just lazy and they should clearly state the fact they don't recycle business e-waste. Funny thing is they sure don't mind charging you out the ying yang for toner. Or making a buck or two off your old returned toner cartridges.

TERRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE Do not order online if you don't want a hold on your account for triple or more of what your actual purchase is. I purchased an order for $140, they put a hold on my CC for $350 No explanation from phoning or chatting online via their chat service and on Facebook. All I got was, "wait for the items to arrive and then check your credit card." The fact is, I now have a hold on my credit card and do not have access to those funds until they lift the hold. Extremely unsatisfied with both the transaction and the way the employees dealt with the situation. I will NOT be purchasing online again.

I used to go there a minimum of 4 times/week and have never had a pleasant interaction with the printing department staff. The way I hear them talk to other customers is completely unacceptable. I had a power bump and my computer crashed. When I restarted it went into a loop between windows repair and restarting. I couldn’t recover it so I brought it to Staples to see if they could. The error was “Page fault in a non page area”. Th e file referenced was wimfif.sysy. The guy at Staples said they couldn’t fix it there, they would have to send it to the depot. Ten days later I went in to check on it and it was still sitting there with nothing done. The excuse was that they didn’t have a box big enough to ship it. I have to wonder how long it would take before someone told me. If I hadn’t gone in to check it might have been weeks before anyone woke up. This was the worst kind of off hand treatment to a customer. Their attitude is way too casual bordering on distainfull to their customers. I will never take any computer to them ever again. If I could give zero stars I would.

My wife went in to exchange a new, unopened IPad for one of a different colour. It was in virgin condition - undamaged and still shrink wrapped. She didn’t have the receipt (it was a gift). Staples’ exchange policy on their website was quite clear on the requirements but still the manager refused to do an exchange - saying it was at her discretion. No further explanation. She even phoned the other store to tell them my wife might show up. We know this because my wife did get a copy of the receipt from the original store it was bought from - emailed directly to both stores. She went to the other store first to avoid dealing with the first manager again. It turns out neither store had the other colour of iPad anyway - a lot of hassle for nothing. Anyway it’s Staples’ loss. I own a successful software consulting business in Ontario and have spent in the five figures over the past year at Staples. Of course that has come to a screeching halt. I (and you) have plenty of other procurement options such as Amazon, EBay, Costco, Walmart, etc, etc, etc.

Do not ship anything through this location. The staff have no idea what they’re doing and don’t seem to care. From leaving a clueless new hire in charge of shipping, to inputting a simple address incorrectly and losing thousands of dollars worth of merchandise, to not even knowing how to ring up the proper cost of shipping to match the shipping receipt they just created. Don’t waste your time. Go to the actual courier. Absolute joke.

Yeah, it was a frustrating experience with poor selection and inflated prices for the handful they did have. I left with nothing purchased, despite really needing one for work.

Today we rely on the people at places like this to know more than we do regarding a product. That is quickly becoming inaccurate in 2020. I enjoy the selection of tech at this store but the print center is an absolute joke. Rude staff, confusing interface with the computers - I selected a same day print option, went through all the prompts only to be told (after I had paid) that they don't offer same day photo printing and it would be about five days for my one single photo I needed printed to arrive. No where during the process of me selecting my print job did it tell me the turnaround time for what I was doing. I had selected the option on the side that said SAME DAY PRINTS and photos were an option. I would be fine if I'd had to wait an hour or even two - but I am very disappointed that this wasn't the case.

This review is solely based on my experience as a customer and does not speak to product quality. I wandered all 6 isles looking for a binder for my chequebook. As there were no staff on the floor, I went to the checkout to ask. I was redirected to where they “might be” but he didn’t know. I expressed I had already looked there, but humoured the idea anyway. I again couldn’t find it. I asked if there was anyone working on the floor that could help me and he responded, “No, we have no one on the floor.” There were, I believe, 3 people working in the copy centre, one at check out and one at online pick ups (from what I could see). I left empty handed and will just order one off amazon.

It didn't have any of the electronics I needed. I was looking for a Bluetooth selfie stick that would also fit my Samsung galaxy s20fe. I also needed an adapter for a c-port to headphone jack and charger for the same phone. They did not carry these items. Also, they did not have dual color and black hp ink available. As a small business, I spend thousands of dollars with staples every year. During COVID, I made a couple purchases which I needed to return (one was a package of Avery Labels which I didn't discover until I got home, was already open and had sheets missing). Be careful if you plan to purchase an office chair from this company. They will try to push their top of the line Sealy Posturpedic chairs. I bought one of these chairs from Staples as it was fabric which I was looking for. In a nutshell this chair is a $ 400 + piece of junk ! ,,, it's a real battle trying to assemble, instructions are complicated to say the least. I'm not a heavy person by any means and at best I only use this chair for a couple of hours per day. This chair is no more comfortable than a $ 100 chair from Wal-Mart. After 13 months of use the seat height adjustable is no longer operational , the seat just won't stay in the up position. I stopped in at Staples and mentioned the issues to one of their sales staff who could have cared less ,,, as I left the store I apologized to the sales person for " trespassing on his valuable time " ,,, last time I'll ever spend my money in that place. Oh by the way, I posted a negative review on Staples website regarding the Sealy office chair ,,, guess they didn't like the review, they didn't post it !!

Over the past 1.5 I have been going there for my printing needs and have found that the staff aren't overly helpful. However yesterday July 20th/2021 I went in to talk to a guy about computer tech support as I lost the paper he gave me with the phone number to call to register for it. There was 3 (maybe 4) sales people standing at the counter and I explain to a girl that I was looking for this paper again, she started to engage in a conversation with me then kinda walked away and didn't say anything else. Then went back to the other sales person and were on the phone.... I stood there waiting, as I had hoped she had called the guy on the walkie talkie but I wasn't sure as she literally didn't say anything to me she just wondered off and went back to socializing. Someone else came up and saw me standing there and asked if I had been helped. I most definitely explained i wasn't sure since she never bothered to explain to me if she was doing anything for me or not. I was told I would HAVE to see a tech person but I didn't want to sign up I just wanted the TO GO paper with the info on where to call if I wanted to sign up for their tech support. Needless to say I wasn't shocked at such bad customer service or how poorly the 3 or 4 individuals were at basic human communication. Thr manager should be there working with these immature people who aren't capable of a simple customer service job. If you need something printer it is a good place but if you want to be spoke to at all or acknowledged then this is not the place to shop. Maybe I am old fashion when I think people being paid and standing around on phones during work hours is wrong.

Dropped my laptop off on the Aug 18th, to be sent for warranty (ECP), didn't hear anything, so decided to call the tech (on Aug 26) services warehouse number to see what was going on and was told that they have not received it/the store didn't ship it. So then had to call the store to find out that it wasn't sent out till Aug 21st (3 days later), due to being overlooked by staff. As I am moving away to school soon and with everything being online this is very frustrating. This isn't the first time I have had an issue with sending my laptop for warranty. In May 2020 I sent my laptop back and when it came back and I was setting it back up, I noticed they put the wrong hard drive in. I was suppose to have a 1TB hard drive and they put in a 250GB, losing 3/4 of storage space. I use to like getting my laptops from staples but maybe it would be best to switch to BestBuy, The Source or someone else.
