I’ve had seaside since 2015 and it always worked well until lately. I have 100 mbps package I’ve never seen it hit 100 yet.. sometimes throughout the day usually early in the morning I will get 80/90s but once lunch hits right until midnight I’m hovering around 5-20 mbps.. I live in the donkin area and I’ve heard from other people out here there having the same problems. My buddy from Glace bay has no issues, his internet sits at 100 and never goes below. They shouldn’t offer 100 mbps if they can’t maintain that speed. I’m overpaying and it’s starting to get frustrating.

We pay for high-speed wifi, which you would expect to work 7 days a week. In reality, we have functioning wifi 4 days a week, 5 if we're lucky. When we call they say they'll call to let us know before they send someone out, but they never call back and nobody ever shows up. If you have the choice, please save your money and choose literally any other internet company. Disappointment for seaside is an understatement, pretty sure they've taken a year off my life already!

Great customer service, Worst Internet in history Have had Seaside "highspeed" for the past 8+ years, 5 years of 1.5mbps download speed, and 3 years of an "upgraded" 5-10mbps download speed, also they raised the price about three times, its the only internet offered around here. 10 minutes away they offer fibreop which is cheaper and around average 60-150mbps. If you try to do anything besides browse facebook don't get this internet. or if you have more than 1 person in the house who wants to use youtube.

We have seaside high-speed at our cottage on cobequid bay and have no complaints. To have 5mb/s connection in such a rural area, is amazing. Customer service has been great and we have had next to no down time. Highly recommend.

I have had to change my email address, and have spent the afternoon contacting businesses. It took me less than 5 minutes to get it changed by you. I was on hold with another company for 40 minutes!

Seaside Communications you advertise your services but here we are in Mapleton/Southampton NS we have your service BUT we have been without watchable, useable internet services since Dec 26th 2021 and still on going and continue to call in DAILY and receive the same daily conflicting reports on issues with towers between tech dept and costumer services dept, we continue to get we are sorry we understand yet you continue to bill us for a service we can not use...How about fixing our services and crediting your customers . this is ridiculous...please share if you use their services or experiencing same issues!!!

Beware if you have to have an antenna installed on the roof of your house in order to receive a signal for broadband internet. The company installed an antenna on a tripod on the peak of the roof at the front of our home. When we sold the house and asked for the antenna to be removed they left the tripod on the roof. We requested that they return to remove the tripod, and the company refuses to remove their equipment. They state that it could cause leaking of the roof. Unless you would like a silly-looking tripod sitting on the peak of your roof for life, stay away from this service!

Myself and my mother both have seaside (only because there was no other option) and they have very good customer service, but their speeds and cost don’t match up! I don’t mind spending more on faster internet if that’s what we got but that is not even close to the case! At my mothers house she just got off of dual up in 2011 and seaside was her only option the connection is slightly better but only slightly! Can’t load Netflix, Facebook or YouTube if another device is even connected to the internet. Myself we have had so many outages and glitches having to restart our modem every day since a big storm caused some service issues. We are unable to load two things at a time I have gone over my cell data (10gigs) just about every month because the service is so slow. Now they want to increase our bill again! No! We are switching to another provider.

Extremely slow internet with outages at least once a month, and if you lose the electricity, don't expect to have internet restored for hours upon hours after the electricity is restored. It's ridiculous how slow this internet is... "high speed"... LOL

For an Internet service provider, sure don't know how to use technology to keep their customer notified of any issues. You can get good internet; but, good luck with steady connection. And, if you call in for service, they say reboot your service - dah! Maybe, they take you serious after you call multiple times - like maybe 50 or more over 6 months.

Internet becomes restricted at least once a month for hours on end. Happened twice this month. If the power goes out it does not work for hours after, and sometimes when i reset my router it becomes restricted for hours aswell. Awful provider avoid if you can do so. I can't because theres no other good provider here.

Getting 7mbps where I am, and no matter how many or how much people are using the internet it doesn’t effect my ping when I’m gaming, and there is never any buffering on anything, flawless internet.

Customer service is excellent but it doesn't matter if the internet never works. There's nothing high speed about seaside. Go with a different provider.

Not very reliable internet. Have had issues even trying to use kijiji. Have been told for 3 years now faster speeds are on the way. Have had "yearly price increases" due to improved reliability and increased bandwidth usage... internet is too slow to have an increase in bandwidth usage. Called in and was told they weren't going to do anything and everybody gets a "yearly increase". Only use as a last resort!

Anyone considering Seaside, please beware...I was a customer for 5 years and the service was terrible, very slow, but it was only provider in area, so we had to keep them. The hardware totally ripped out of our roof once and they came back and put it up in about 20 minutes, they didnt check to see how connection was at all. I had to call and waste time trying to get connection better with person on phone. Then the wind blew it off again a few months later. These so called service men came back out and were going to drill it back into the same hole that it ripped out of??? And then again they never checked connection. The connection was terrible, even slower, so I called and asked to speak to manager. We told her that they never put it in correctly and she started yelling at my husband thinking we were asking for roof to be reshingled??? No,we just wanted them to have fixed the problem of the hardware ripping out twice! After the rudeness of the so called manager we decided to cancel our internet with them. There are many more options out there now. They never called like they said they would to make time to come and get their equipment, instead they showed up one day we were out and collected everything except pole and wires in house! They left the pole up on our roof! Long story short, they gladly accept your money, but if anything ever happens, beware because the manager has terrible customer skills. Terrible customer service + slow connections= bye bye for us.
