Hard to find anyone to assist at Kent in Sydney these days. Only person who came to the project desk had no credentials to log into the computers..... sent me to cash at front of store and the clerk knew nothing about vinyl siding and accessories... frustrating!!

Great employee knowledge. Reasonable prices on most items vs larger chain competitors. More geared for contractors but if you go in with an idea what your looking for the staff can assist you the rest of the way. Not a five star rating because lack of inventory on website. A fact that is addressed directly on the website as a way to keep costs down to the common customer. While this is somewhat inconvenient it is commendable that the company is up front to their customers about it.

Great store and staff. However they recently changed the parking to UK style. Yup we drive on the right side but now you think your in Britain. Very dangerous. Avoid going there unless essential now after years. Too risky!

The need more qualified staff at the front desk. I had a simple request and I was there for well over an hour and they still did not get it right. I had to call the manager the following day and he was on the ball and made things right.

Paid for $500.00 in materials and arranged to have them delivered 2 days later. They specified a delivery time frame(between 12-4) and stated that they would call me prior to delivery. By 15:00 on the expected delivery day I had not received a phone call, nor my product. I had to phone the store for almost 2 hours before I was finally able to speak to a manager, who informed me that my order would not be delivered today. He then proceeded to give 3 different stories as to why the delivery would not/did not happen. When I expressed my frustration and explained that I needed it delivered today he told me that it was not his department and that he only took the phone call. He later called me back and stated that someone would deliver the order at 18:30. He also stated that he would refund the cost for delivery. While I appreciated that the cost would be absorbed, and that the order would be delivered later this evening, it does not excuse the fact that my entire day was wasted, and that I received poor customer service. I would also like to mention that the customer service I received at the project desk was excellent, and they were very helpful. The two employees who answered the phone at the customer service desk were kind and polite. Unfortunately I can not say that the manager I spoke to was polite or understanding. He frequently interrupted me and was not apologetic or sympathetic. I hope that anyone else has a better experience. I will take my experiences here into consideration the next time I am shopping for building supplies.

I live 30 kms away from Sydney and called the store to make sure they had the one item I needed. The first 2 times I called, the paint department hung up on me and the third and fourth time I called I couldn’t get the switch board to answer. Horrible Service!

People did not know any answers to the questions I asked in Gardining was looking for grass cutter...picked up a product was 9. 99 went to get checked out 13 people ahead of me put back product back cam back next day product was 15.99. How do you justify 6 bucks overnight. . NASTY.

Everytime I go in this store I'm confronted with non-existant service and a staff that doesn't go the least bit out of their way to actually help. Bought LED recessed lights that were listed in the flyer and do you think that they'd have a sign anywhere near the stack of lights that I guessed were the ones? Of course not. This wouldn't be the Cape Breton way. On this island, you're on your own. Took the lights through the checkout, paid a different price than that advertised (even though the internal number matched the item in the flyer). Just wanted to get out of there.

Kent didn't have what I wanted but they gave me the name of another store ( Home Depot )and I got what I wanted,so pleased that Kent's customer service was excellent. Thanks again for your help and I wasn't feeling well and ended up with everything I needed so I could get home and lye down and when I woke up took my meds ,if I hadn't got everything I would've had given up I never would've been to weak and in alot of pain so I would not be able to go back....so a Big problem was solved, what an awesome sleep I had last night.No More Stress.
