My laptop harddrive died. I knew what the problem was so they said I saved money since they didn't have to diagnose the issue. The harddrive they sell is the solid state, which does work faster. They were very friendly. Very quick and very professional. They are upfront with the cost. I just think the website should be less misleading. I would go back and I would recommend them. I could not access the files on my old harddrive and the next day the gentleman tried to do what he could to save my information. Again, I highly recommend this business!!!

i had dropped my entire computer and the staff fixed my hard drive with solid state. they were able to figure out the problem easily. they even hustled for me earlier than expected as they know i had a live stream that friday. i later had a loud fan from same incident and staff used high powered dust blower to see if that solved issue (no charge) excellent service - thank you CompuFix!!!

Been waiting two weeks for them to replace a fan in my laptop. Talked to the owner and came to an understanding, he has to order the fan from China and it will take 4 to 6 weeks to get the fan but he's going to fix it and only charge me $50 extra. Informed him that, that was better than having to buy a new laptop and that he should proceed and order the fan. Great service and above and beyond customer service.

I'm not overly happy with the service here. I went to CompuFix for an incredibly simple diagnosis. I had already diagnosed my own computer and just wanted my GPU tested against another motherboard to ensure that was definitely the problem. They charged me 45$ for what I can guarantee was less than 10 minutes of work after I had told him exactly what the problem was and just wanted him to confirm. I understand everything has a price but what they charged me (the standard diagnostic fee) was *far* overpriced considering I'd already done the diagnostic myself. But I don't think the guy believed me or my diagnosis considering how he talked to my non-tech-savvy boyfriend who picked my computer back up (apparently the man was incredibly surprised I had gotten the source of the problem correct which is so frustrating because I told him exactly what was happening and why I was quite sure it was a GPU card failure...) I mean, he didn't even clean the fans or dust the case after taking my money and running a single test (I know because he told me what he'd done on the phone the next day). If you are going to take that fee from me, but I've already done your work for you, maybe you should at least do a small something extra in return. I, personally, will not be returning and do not recommend, especially if you are a woman.

Was doing a custom motorcycle installation and required some difficult to find specialized screws. Out of the blue I tried contacting CompuFix and the owner was gracious enough to set time aside, listen to my needs and assist. Thankfully the screws were common size in the computer world. Thanks to CompuFix my problem was solved. Very professional service and customer focused. The care and support received for a non-computer related issue leads me to conclude this gentleman goes above and beyond to assist in all repairs/service and sales. Highly recommend you try this location. Oh.....and he charged me nothing for the screws. Thank you sir.

Very excellent service. Professional gentleman owns the business, his workers are all professional and kind. I had no problems. I am not sure if it should have taken a week and a half to fix my issue, but it was not urgent so that was fine. Price was very affordable (total paid about $260 but to repair my very expensive gaming laptop that had crucial information on it, this was a fair deal). And your cost may be lower or higher depending on the issues... regardless, I believe you will get a fair deal. Go to CompuFix, not a big box store! Help out a local business! COVID has been hardest on these businesses.

About a year ago I went to CompuFix to have a screen replaced and they did a quick fantastic job. The person providing service was professional and competent. Flash forward a year and I take a laptop in to have the bottom case replaced. The first person, a young woman, I dealt with was very professional and helpful. Then an older man came in and was acting in a completely unprofessional manner. It was clear he did not want my business that it would be too much work for a tech to source the part. I left rather shocked that a business did not grasp the basics of running a repair shop and as a result they will never get my business again.

Very Bad experience here. They couldn't fix my mother in law's computer so they sold me a reconditioned one. It died in 3 months and they charged to diagnose the repair--a new, 300 dollar hard drive. No apologies, no refunds just "well it was only under warranty for 30 days, nothing we can do". Avoid this place.

I took my laptop there due to water damage as it was not turning on The owner Syed, is a very good person, very professional As I said that I need my laptop urgently, he tried his best to fix it as soon as possible and called me only within two days He had put a lot of effort into my laptop, opened it and checked all the parts, cleaned and dried them one by one. The repair was very efficient and fast; since he knew that I needed it, he did his best and fixed it in two days. The price was reasonable in comparison to big companies like BestBuy; they would charge you probably double and would take more than a week to do the same job I would highly recommend this place and would come back in the future!

Diagnostic pricing was very reasonable, much cheaper than anywhere else in Kingston. They had my laptop diagnosed within 2 days, explained the issues well, gave me options for actually fixing the issue, and then had it fixed the next day. As a student it was nice to have a more affordable option when it comes to computer repair shops, and not have some big name store try and sell you the most expensive option possible.

Wonderful service. We stopped in today for assistance with a corroded battery in a set of Bose headphones. I had left the battery in my headphones for an extended period of time (yes, I know - you're not supposed to do that). Try as I might, I could not get the battery out. Most of the online hacks that I found suggested drilling out a pilot hole and using a screw or something similar to gain better grip on the battery. That seemed extreme. We took the headphones to a couple of other places, but they said that there was nothing they could do. We then went to Compufix. The very friendly gentleman asked what I had tried, and then took the headphones in the back for a scant few minutes. He returned with the battery removed. And he wouldn't take any payment, even when I insisted that he must. After all, the headphones would have been useless without his assistance. It's small businesses like this that have suffered through the pandemic, yet he was resolute in not taking any payment. Frankly, he has earned return business from me.

The owner was also kind enough to lend me a temporary replacement laptop while mine was getting fixed. Since my screen was damaged as well he was kind enough to renegotiate the original price of fixing the water damage when adding the additional cost of the new screen. He was very professional and knowledgeable. I would definitely go back for my next repair.

After spilling water on my MacBook Air I brought it to Jump+ for repair, where they told me it would cost over $1,600 to repair and I am better off getting a new computer. After bringing it to Compufix for a second opinion, they were able to repair it for over $1,000 cheaper. I still have all my data on the computer, and it is working great again. I definitely recommend Compufix for anyone that needs a repair on their device.

Overall very good service. The staffs are friendly and knowledgeable. My laptop has problem connecting to wifi (other devices in the same place work very well). They reinstalled the operation system for me and it worked better but wifi still cut out randomly. They reinstalled the OS for me for the second time without extra charge. The wifi works much better although it still cut out 2-3 times a day. They took the time to explain the possible causes of the issue. It might most likely be the hard drive. They also gave me advice on buying a new laptop. My laptop is kind of old so I probably will get a new one. Thank you very much for your service!

I took my humble Optiplex 3020 in for service as it was experiencing a self diagnostic loop and was performing sluggishly. While the old drive could have been re-installed, the team suggested a new SSD hard drive. I'm glad I went this route. The machine is killer fast now and performs better than new. I thought the cost was very reasonable for assessment, data backup and installation of new drive. Very pleased, thanks.
