Worst place ever to get pc components not only are they rude but they do not do their job well place is never clean inside and they also charge way beyond market value you can get a and Ryan 1700 on Amazon for 200+ but yet at throttling they charge 400+ for the same and cpu

Very intelligent fella. Has all sorts of parts and prebuilts on hand. Better pricing then box stores like Best Buy. New and used parts from just about every generation of PC. Knowledge of all the latest and greatest components. Steady stock of everything you need to build a brand new PC today. Still expensive compared to buying online, but you can go in and buy it same day in-store, with walk-in exchange/return policy. Everything the internet can't give you.

Place is ran by scalpers. If you want to pay 3X MSRP, this is the place for you. There response is to blame COVID-19. That doesn’t excuse them practice of scalping. Most the cards they list are not valued at what they have them at. Shop around from other retailers. Even if you have to wait, better than supporting a place that along wants to rub you off your hard earned money.

After my laptop stopped working I decided I wanted a custom built gaming PC. I had no idea what I wanted or what any of the components were but Bill explained everything to me and helped me decide on a build. All the components were in store and ready to go so he built it for me and it looks awesome and works great. Really smart guy and very helpful. Highly recommend this place.

I sadly don't see how this store is better than scalpers online. The best example is the new GPUs from Nvidia. When asked in store how much is the zotac 3070, the price was over double MSRP.

I am from saint john and was unable to find a LGA 1150 motherboard locally and needed it before the weekend. This was the only store that had any in stock and in stock with multiple options. The price was lower by almost 75 dollars more then any where I could find online for the same mobo. The store it self has a huge selection of PC parts. A hardware geek will have a lot of fun in there. Would reccomend for those seeking parts that are at competitive prices and that are hard to find in most stores.

Now you have to understand why you would go to Bill (the proprietor) in the first place to understand why I give 4 stars. Going to Thrift-King is a little like going to an electronics hobby shop in the 1980s, it's not the "Best Buy" experience. I like that. If I need a part or component of a computer I go to Bill. Thrift-King is a favorite with the local PC gamers, because you can pick up quality parts for less, and you can talk to Bill about what you might need. You can check out the Thrift-King website, but he often has stock that is not on the site. Over the years I have bought connectors, cables, drive enclosures, power supplies, wifi-extenders, satellite TV items etc. It all works, and when it doesn't, they usually have a good return arrangement on most items.

Building a computer? Look no further, this is the only place to go in Fredericton, they have everything you might need. Ran around Fredericton looking for an RJ-45 coupler that I urgently needed. BestBuy had them for $25/piece, and I sure wasn’t paying that much for it. Go see Bill, and of course he has a bag full of them and presumably sells them bulk. He wanted a few bucks for one (which I was happy to pay).

I never actually went into the store as I live in Ontario, but I found a reasonably priced 3070 on their website in the midst a massive graphics card shortage during COVID. It was actually so reasonably priced during this time especially as a 3000 series where you can't find them everywhere that I was hesitant to buy it because I was worried it was a scam. Sure enough after looking into the store I decided to buy it and was not disappointed as it showed up to my house the next day. Quality products for good prices and fast delivery if you're buying online I would 100% recommend them and will definitely be coming back if I upgrades for any of my parts.

From out of town. Got a laptop battery on a Saturday afternoon. Figured my laptop battery was shot. Turned out it was the motherboard. I went back in the next time I was in town. 20 days later. Wouldn't take back unused battery. I will never do business with such a cheapskate again.
