Knowledgeable, helpful owner who is not condescending but does not suffer fools gladly. Great place to go if you know your way around a computer at least a little. No flim-flam, no flashy displays, just solid products at prices that are competitive with online auctions. Unless you absolutely must have the newest, most expensive cool thing from a company named after a kind of fruit, this is the place to go. There are even some fruit named company products here at prices that would make the name brand store have conniptions.

The owner is phenomenally knowledgeable, and is at his best when you ask for advice or help. In fact, I was just looking up the store right now to ask for advice, which is how I came to review the store. Can't believe how lucky we are to live so close to it.

We had a screen crack on a loaner laptop and needed it fixed quickly. With it being so close to the Christmas holidays, it would be tough to get it fixed ASAP. Never used this place but it was highly recommended, so I'm actually using this in hopes that KEN sees it and responds to it, I am wondering if he builds PCS, does wire management, updates bios and drivers and how much that would cost. I was headed to a big store in Mississauga and noticed this shop. Decided I would check to see if they had stock of the SSD I was looking for and they did, at a great price. Love this store, personal customer service. The owner is there everyday and takes interest in what your needs are without making you feel "dumb" good price. New and used parts and repairs. Lots of parking. If he cant fix it he wont make you waste your money.

The store is full of retired computer parts, that makes it look like a cemetery of electronic components. If you are looking for customer service, go elsewhere. The guy is not too helpful and becomes quickly irritated, if you ask wrong question. I've bought a $15 card reader and I know that these kind of products quite often have defects, so I asked the guy for a favor to connect it to the PC and test if it's able to read the SD card that I had (explaining that I wanna save myself a trip, in case the hardware turns out to be defective). For some reason, this made the guy furious, and he nervously plugged in the reader and tested the reader, which happened to work. On the exit, he insulted me calling a cheap guy. After such a poor customer service, I'd recommend the owner hire a professional sales stuff to keep this shop afloat. Until this happens, prospective customers should choose more predictable stores. I'd personally recommend Canada Computers or TigerDirect or big chains like BestBuy.

Great prices on computers, components and accessories that compete with popular online stores. I don't personally need his services as I perform all my own repairs when needed, but I feel comfortable recommending The Computer Edge to anyone in need of PC repair!

My laptop didn't come with a screw needed to keep my new hard drive in place, popped in to this place hoping they might have one I could purchase. The owner went above and beyond and let me rummage through his spare screws to find the exact one I needed, then insisted on letting me have it for free when I tried to pay. Ken helped me choose a very good laptop for my son going into a mech eng program. He also beautifuly repaired my i7 iMac a while back, but back to my current reason. At first I went to Staples as it's close by and I live in Mississauga. I was thinking of going to see Ken but busy life etc. The expert at Staples recommended a very expensive gaming computer because of the powerful graphics card and I actually had bought one but buyers remorse made me go to Oakville to talk to Ken. All you parents of mech eng students, did you know that the video cards in gaming computers is the exact opposite of what you need? Design programs need a high triangle low refresh card, gaming needs a high refresh and low triangle card! So Ken got us a good solid laptop with the graphic card that is actually recommended by Solidworks for a fraction of the price. Don't go elsewhere, it's worth the drive to Oakville. Actually going to go see Ken today if the weather isn't too bad for a laptop for my son's twin sister. See you soon Ken...

This is the second time I've used the computer repair services here, and I couldn't be more satisfied. My laptop had a loose connection and I was given a quote for the part + labour. Before Ken was going to install the new part, he took everything apart, cleaned it, and put it back together, which fixed the issue. He also did a general cleanup/optimization of my pc. He only charged me a very fair price for his three hours of labour.
