After my shop's main workstation died in a ceiling leak I didn't have time to fart around with a self-built machine, and when I couldn't find a decent quality PC anywhere off the shelf, I emailed Mother. I brought in my son's gaming computer for diagnosis because it was not connecting to the monitor. I received a call from them saying that the motherboard was dead, there was no repair...But lucky for me, they happen to have a really great Dell computer for only $475 that will be way better than my son's current computer. They could transfer over the data for me and it will end up costing around $650. What?! First of all, my son's computer is specifically for gaming and cost around $900. The computer is only 1.5 yrs old. There is no way that a Dell PC under $500 is going to be better for gaming than our current one. Secondly, I brought my computer in for a diagnosis and repair. What are my repair options? None? Third, what will they do with my 'old' computer? It has a brand new Power Supply and Video Card. I did not feel right about this at all. I went to the store and got the computer back, and paid the charge of $30 for the diagnosis. The sales person was very insistent that I better buy that Dell computer and take their offer right now, because it is the only one they have, and it won't get any better of a deal than this, blah blah blah. Major pressure. I declined. I decided to go for a second opinion at a different store. Guess what? They found that the reset button was stuck. The button was stuck and that was it, that's why it would not complete the start up. They unstuck it. They offered to upgrade to the latest OS and I agreed. in total, it cost me around $100. The computer works perfectly well, motherboard is just fine. I will never go back to this store! I almost had this computer thrown out, replaced by some crappy Dell, and out of pocket $650. For nothing! They obviously did not do a proper diagnosis, were too busy trying to sell me something. I would not trust that their diagnosis is correct. Thankfully I know a bit about computers, but if I was someone who did not, and who trusted in the business I was hiring to help me, I would have not had a good ending to this story. Beware! Always get a second opinion!

The people who work at Mother Computers are AMAZING. After 5 years, it was time to build a new computer for my new job and I needed a MONSTER build to deal with whatever my job would throw at it. The turnaround was fast, even though I provided plenty of time for the new build, and the employees were very diligent and patient when I called to make a couple of small changes. The computer works like a DREAM and what's more, I was told by the people who built it that it was a "fun" rig to build. When I went to pick-up my computer, I had totally forgotten an adapter required for my tablet screen to my new video card and because they didn't have one on hand, they gave me the one I needed so I could get to work on Monday - This totally blew me away - Above and beyond! You can tell that the people who work at this store have a passion for computers and the customer service is excellent. Don't worry about not knowing the difference between a DVI connection and a DP port - the crew there will patiently wait until you can show them a picture or they will find one for you. I love my new computer! Thank you Mother Computers!

Had A good history of buying great computers, however when dealing with an inquiry to replace a worn out fan had a very mixed experience. Alex gives great customer service and consulting, ask for him and you'll get all the help he can give, politely and respectfully. Older staff members such as Yudo (spelling?) Or Matt immediatly interrupt, dismiss and speak over female bodied customers and attempt to mansplain. I watched in awkward disbelief as my trans dfab partner was rudely talked over repeatedly this morning. It was a night and day experience from perfect customer service one day to abysmal the next. It wasn't about the information given during the visits, as I stressed on the phone when giving this feedback, it was the way they delivered their customer service that affected us. To reiterate Alex and afternoon crew are golden in customer care, but older crew came off sexist at, and possibly transphobic. Sadly never doing business there again.

Service is great when you buy it! Until there is a small problem a couple weeks later! All over one broken key. I guess I have to go to the manufacture myself after spending $1400 on a laptop. Extremely disappointed with the attitude and remarks made by employee. I did email the company a week ago to explain my frustration thinking maybe he was having a bad day or was a one off but did not even receive a response. Not the first thing I bought there but certainly the last.

I must comment on my experiences here. I will start by saying that they really know what they are talking about when it comes to their product. That said, their customer service isn't great, nor is their pricing. I found several products $10-40 cheaper online than they were charging in store. And, when I DID decide to order a part through them, I was told it would be delivered the next day. However it did not arrive for 4 days after they assured me it would. I know they cannot control how fast something gets to the store once an order is placed, but DO NOT assure a customer of next-day delivery if the promise will not be kept. Oh, and one of the guys there is a super slimy salesman. Don't ask him for a recommendation unless you want the most expensive, unnecessary parts. If you're really nice they may give you a slight discount... but check Walmart first. I found a cheaper, better alternative part there after buying one here which one of the guys recommended to me. I hope my words can be a nice forewarning.

I rated Mother Computers poor-fair, but to be honest I would rate it lower if that were an option. At first I was happy to give them my business, I had an excellent referral, who said they had done a great job with their computer (and may I add, by not fixing their's- but up-selling them for a brand new computer). I had my own computer fixed, paid $300.00, for a new hard drive and to fix the motherboard, brought it home and it worked beautifully for two days...then the same problem happened that I had brought the computer to be fixed for in the first place. Thinking not much of it, I brought it back to the store and explained that the same problem was happening and my computer was not working. This was met with accusations towards me-- saying that it was my fault and I had put a virus onto my computer...which wasn't even the original problem(the computer would freeze randomly and not switch back on, the fan would just run inside). Previously they told me that it was the motherboard that had a problem and they fixed it...clearly not. Instead of owning up to their own mistake they got in a heated argument with me about how I will be charged if there is an virus on the computer. I got a phone call a couple of days later saying that there were no virus' on the computer, but it would cost $250.00 for motherboard problems. So what was the point in the new hard drive? I went in today and paid $280.00 to pick it up. Absolutely absurd. I returned with my computer to my apartment, hooked it all up and then noticed, there was no CD drive. I then had to call the computer store, where they told me rudely- Yes you do. I am quite competent and know my way around a computer, not only was there no CD drive in my computer, there was also none visible. I now just returned from Mother Computers, again, and hopefully there will be no more problems from here out. I would never recommend this place to anyone, it's all upsell, When I was waiting for them to put in the CD drive, I could hear them talking about customers behind their back. I now have a new nickname for their company 'Mother(rhymes with trucker) Computers'.

They will "up-sell" you at every chance. Had 2 encounters within a couple weeks. Different problems, different people, but the first option both times was not the cheapest or simplest. (some older woman was having a real go at another employee while I was there, relevant or not, someone else was not happy). I had a semi-crashed hard drive (sometime it booted, sometime not), tried to up-sell me to a solid state drive. Much more expensive than a tried and true regular old HD. Also never asked a single question about, well, anything really. Bottom line: Selling NOT servicing the client.

I moved from my last place precisely because I couldn't get service. No problems at Mother. Are they perfect? No, but no business run by people is perfect (androids anyone). Tony Scott, owner, was incredibly rude to me over the phone today and yesterday. I've had a challenge finding help to get a pen compatible with the Lenovo laptop sold to me Aug 14th. The ability to write on the screen was the most important function I needed from the computer. I was told to order a surface stylus from Amazon, it did not work. I was told to order an active pen from Lenovo, After waiting for shipping, it did not work. I was told to call Lenovo and figure it out myself. I learned August 28th directly from Lenovo that my laptop is not compatible with any pen. I wanted to exchange or return the laptop. Tony refused and yelled at me. Mike has been a nice sales person and customer service representative towards me, but the owner Tony Scott was highly disrespectful, and demeaning.

My husband and I have been shopping here regularly since moving to Victoria and have had nothing but positive experiences. The staff has been extremely friendly, knowledgeable and respectful of both our time and budget. We went to a few other places initially and they were consistently rude and condescending. Mother Computers has been the exact opposite and we couldn't happier with all our purchases - including 2 custom built gaming computers. I'm honestly not sure what the other reviewers are talking about. I think the service there has been fantastic and all I can say is you should give them a try and see for yourself! I think you'll be glad you did.

I am very dissatisfied with the service I received at Mother Computers. I was charged over $100 for a general scan of my computer where I was told a concerning software would be taken off my computer and my photos from my phone would be backed up onto my computer. I received no call saying they had finished work on my computer, but when I called four hours later (2 hours past the time they had estimated) they told me it was in fact done. I arrived back home after picking up my computer and neither of my requests had been satisfied. I then had to call back to ask why they had not completed the services they said they did, and had to bring my computer and phone in for a second time. In the end, they could only accomplish one of the tasks, and so now I have to go to another shop to get my issues sorted out. They were not apologetic and did not take responsibility for any of their mistakes. I would definitely not recommend this shop to anyone.

Went in and asked for an SSD, a bracket to install the 2.5" SSD as a 3.5" drive from the ___bottom___ screws (I clearly precised ___not___ the side screws) and a PCI-e or USB WiFi adapter. They gave me a 3.5" bracket adapter **without** the bottom screw holes, and the quality of this "Tenda" USB-Wifi adapter I bought under their recommendation is simply APPALLING (drivers either crashes in OSX 10.10, or just do a whole lot of nothing).

I have been dealing with Mothers for nearly 10 years, I bought my first gaming Laptop there and have built 2 rigs for my GF and myself. The customer service is beyond believable, every-time I have dealt with them I usually am within a certain budget, they sell me what I need within that budget. They ask questions in regards to my plans so I can be set up for any changes coming up. They've never sold me anything that I felt I didn't need and being a gamer I know what I want. As with anywhere else the items they sell are sold elsewhere but I have never had an issue with anything they've recommended and will continue to use their services (as I presently have my machine in to get some upgrades) and I would not hesitate to recommend and I actually always recommend them to family and friends. If I had to move away I would hope there is a Mother's close by otherwise I might have to plan for road trips back.

They had an ad for Nintendo switch online, none in-store. I go to Best Buy and Walmart. The worker from here is there asking about a switch. They’re selling $88 + more when they buy them from Walmart to re sell, possibly big stores last ones. Thankfully they’re out, or I would of made a scene for buying it out from under me for an inflated price!

You can buy most of the mice, keyboards, gpu's, cables, etc at best buy across the street for cheaper... Be me, trying to get some thermal paste, ask a staff member if he some, could tell he didn't like being there, he said "of course we do" went to the back grabbed me an opened and used paste for the same price as a new one. At least at best buy the staff there smile. P.S if you're getting a repair, watch out and make sure these guys don't give you old parts like did with my computer... smh

Why have I never used their services?! I called them this morning to describe the issue with a power supply fan I had, and inquire what’s implied with fixing. They suggested to come in and bring the tower. They’d HAVE power supplies in store, and install the right one on the same day (!!!). I could pick it up in the later afternoon. Runs smoothly and quietly again – ahhh. Cost was $ 90 for power supply and $ 88 for labour. Boom. Staff was calm and super friendly. Nice vibes in the store. Highly recommended. Oh - and parking right in front of the store.

I tried to negotiate pricing on an old used part they had tested and suddenly decided they wanted a fortune for. Then the sales employee said his boss would kill him if he didn't sell me the extras. I asked them for a entry level gamer computer. I showed them a price comparison for DTI and they gave me better parts for cheaper. Unfortunately when I got home I realized I forgot to ask for a Wifi card so I called the store back and they said "no problem! Bring the computer back and we will have it installed within 10 minutes and we'll also give you a deal as part of initial computer package". Very affordable! Highly recommend buying from here as they had the computer ready within a few hours after initial purchase. Other places said a couple days to a couple weeks. Fast service and VERY helpful.

I brought in my son's gaming computer for diagnosis because it was not connecting to the monitor. I received a call from them saying that the motherboard was dead, there was no repair...But lucky for me, they happen to have a really great Dell computer for only $475 that will be way better than my son's current computer. They could transfer over the data for me and it will end up costing around $650. What?! First of all, my son's computer is specifically for gaming and cost around $900. The computer is only 1.5 yrs old. There is no way that a Dell PC under $500 is going to be better for gaming than our current one. Secondly, I brought my computer in for a diagnosis and repair. What are my repair options? None? Third, what will they do with my 'old' computer? It has a brand new Power Supply and Video Card. I did not feel right about this at all. I went to the store and got the computer back, and paid the charge of $30 for the diagnosis. The sales person was very insistent that I better buy that Dell computer and take their offer right now, because it is the only one they have, and it won't get any better of a deal than this, blah blah blah. Major pressure. I declined. I decided to go for a second opinion at a different store. Guess what? They found that the reset button was stuck. The button was stuck and that was it, that's why it would not complete the start up. They unstuck it. They offered to upgrade to the latest OS and I agreed. in total, it cost me around $100. The computer works perfectly well, motherboard is just fine. I will never go back to this store! I almost had this computer thrown out, replaced by some crappy Dell, and out of pocket $650. For nothing! They obviously did not do a proper diagnosis, were too busy trying to sell me something. I would not trust that their diagnosis is correct. Thankfully I know a bit about computers, but if I was someone who did not, and who trusted in the business I was hiring to help me, I would have not had a good ending to this story. Beware! Always get a second opinion!

This place is great I got a bunch of pc parts for Christmas but while building I got scared that I was gonna break it so later I phoned mother computers and they they said they could get it done by 5:30 if I dropped it off by 4:00 when I arrived to drop off the parts they were really friendly then when I came back they had just finished setting it and they even gave me a discount on a display port to vga for a discount I would highly recommend going back tomorrow to fix some issues with the drives (that’s not their fault)

Went in to Mothers computers to see about an issue i was having with the fan on my hp pavilion laptop. I went in looking to get a replacement fan as my pc wouldn't boot up and was giving me a message saying there was a fan failure. Unfortunately i can't remember the guys name but he explained that the fan looked like it was operating properly and said it's possible its an issue with the connection from the fan unit to the board. He cleaned it off gave me a drop of thermal paste on it and sent me on my way explaining what to do when i got home and re-connected it. Hooked everything back up following his instructions and it worked like a charm. Cost me exactly 0$, will be returning to this store for any computer needs in the future. Thankyou!

Follow up review. I have priced out parts, and built 3 of my own computers from Mothers, most recently a great 4670k oc gaming build. I have referred all of my friends looking to build their own rigs here - knowing that they will competitively price match online retailers ( within reason) while we support a local business. Recently i had 2 back to back poor customer service experiences over the phone that left me feeling pretty bad about continuing to refer people there. I bit the bullet and phoned and asked for the owner, he was nothing but helpful understanding and answered all my concerns. In the computer business the "do it yourself" type will never account for the bulk of ones sales, because they know the products, and a fair price. But in turn they will advocate for your business like no other customer. TLDR: Love Mothers, one bad staff member, owner set it right. Would shop again.

Thoroughly disappointing. And in a town where soooo many other comp repair places exist, kind of hard to believe. From the snappy saleswoman who yelled out to the store 'Hey! Can somebody explain what a hard-drive failure is to this person? They don't believe me cause I'm a girl!!!" ...to the techy who responded to another salesman's question: 'Like... is it dead? Or DEAD dead?' with 'I don't know"... to that salesman who then quoted $78-85 to replace said hard-drive... to the owner/manager who -after the repairs were done the next day- insisted that I should have known that $78-85 REALLY meant $245.17. I. Should. Have. Known. Perhaps not the best place for anyone who doesn't know a great deal about computers or who has expectations for even a minimum amount of customer service of any kind.

I came into Mother's computer to fix my wifi adapter because I had made a diagnosis that my wifi adapter hardware was broken. I told them this and showed the steps I had done previously. The guy that was helping me offered a wifi usb adapter, but I had asked if they could fix my original card so I didn't have to have the usb dongle all the time. I was informed my computer was fixed later the next day and it was actually only a software problem. My father picked it up and doubled checked it all worked again. I left for the weekend and on Monday I used it again for class and after an hour of use it was broken again. I went back to mothers computer and was told I only had two options to either buy a usb wifi adapter or a whole new wifi card. I bought a wifi adapter which I could have just done from the beginning but I had figured they would have actually fixed my problem instead of delaying the issue. My father went back to mothers computer not to ask for money back but to ask why they were not honest and just told me to buy the wifi card right away and not bother with them trying fixing it. He was told that they treat everyone as idiots and their opinions don't matter. They consider all given information stupid and they will run they're own tests. He was then told by Matt Squire that he didn't want him to come back.

Instead I had to call them past the quoted time to find out the status on my laptop. Right from the get-go: Attention to what I was asking about, excellent information and solid advice. No supersales pitches to put me off. They actively worked to save me money and make sure that what I was looking at for the future would be cost effective. Case in point...I was looking at going to a newer system than my present Vista. They asked what kinds of things I used my computer for ( I use computers basically as word processors and filing cabinets for research.) and told me a bit about Win 8. When I said that I really didn't like the idea of a screen full of icons etc, that I preferred the list on the Start button, they suggested 1) for what I use my computer for, Vista is fine for the time being, and when I want to upgrade, go to Win 7, and 2) If I update my 7 year old laptop, which is running XP, it may be more practical to go to a new one, since the cost of updating from XP and reloading everything would be fairly expensive for what I would have when it was done. Basically, it would be more cost effective to get a new laptop. I checked with their competition about their suggestions. One basically agreed with what they had suggested. Three others tried to convince me I needed something I already knew I didn't want. Gold Stars for these guys.

Would never go back to this place. Had an issue with mouse pad not working on my laptop. They did not even bother opening it up or replacing the missing stripped out screws saying they weren’t necessary? Just confirmed not responding as had damaged it, adjusted the mouse operation thru the software, and charged $60 which included a fee for shop supplies. What shop supplies when nothing was done to it other than confirming it was damaged? And $60 for a 5 second assessment. Other shops have been to would not even charge for that quick assessment with no work performed at all. Rip off.

I brought my computer in because it had been constantly shutting down from overheating. They could not replicate the issue. Even after running it for close to 24 hours under conditions that would have it shut down within 10 minutes, They had done some work before trying to replicate the problem (dustblasting the insides, updating the drivers, etc) so the theory was that that's all it needed. And I've been making her jump through hoops since I got her back and haven't had a single crash, so looks like their standard once-over was all it needed. Their claim cheque states that there is a minimum charge of $88 for any service, but I was only charged $48 +tax, so that was a pleasant surprise.

I bought new computer parts from various websites and because I lacked the tools and a grounding pad, I brought my computer in to be built, and my experience was terrible. I called in to find out how much it would cost to get my computer built and install my OS, they told me everything would be $85. I brought my computer in and was told $138, I told them I spoke to someone on the phone and after multiple questions about the person I spoke to over the phone they finally agreed to $85. Before I left, I made sure to mention i wanted all my boxes and spare parts back in case something happens.I called three that day while I waited for my computer with the same question and was quoted 3 different prices by 3 different salesmen. I picked up my computer the next day, they propped it on the table and I asked to look inside. And I was missing one of my 980Ti graphics cards, and they installed the factory cooling system instead of my Hyper220+ cooling system. I mentioned this to them and they were adamant that I had not had these products on me when I walked in, until I asked for the manager and showed them a picture of all my parts and the receipt I was given with my parts on it. The manager sent the salesman to get my parts, I complained about not having my boxes or spare parts, and I watched as the salesman took another 220+ heatsink and my graphics card from another customers computer and install them into mine. This store is a chop shop for computers in my opinion and would never suggest to anyone to bring their computers to this store. I also have 2 friends that have had their computers cleaned, only to get them back with a part changed out, one was a Gtx 960 which then had a gtx950, and another which was missing his sound card. Beware of this store. This happened a year ago as of december but due to a friend's recent visit to this store, and hearing his displeasing experience i felt the need to post my own experiences.

My 9 year old PC that Mother Computers originally put together was unwell - running slowly and Windows was getting unstable. I could have tossed it and got a new one but wanted to repurpose what I could. So MC swapped out the CPU and motherboard, reinstalled Windows and for good measure we replaced the mechanical HD for a solid state and now I have a fast and robust PC that should do me another 10 years!

Extraordinarily frustrating experience. I purchased a "Gigabit Ethernet Adapter" and could't find the driver to make it work. I attempted to return the product 14 days later, but their return policy is only except items returned 7 days after the initial purchase. I don't begrudge a company for having such a policy. What frustrated me was the fact that the policy was not communicated. It doesn't reference it on their receipts, and the staff member I purchased the devise from said nothing about it. The added insult came when the manager suggested that I might have broken the devise. I left the store with a device that I can't use and which is, for all I know, defective. I will never again shop at this store because they are unnecessarily punitive. I suggest that you steer clear as well.

Roughly a year ago, I'm not sure exactly how long ago I bought a gaming PC from these guys. It had in it a very good graphics card but unfortunately I can't tell you which one at the moment since I'm not at home. A solid state drive so that makes loading speed much faster and a beautiful 32 inch curved monitor. They are much better on my PC. I have nothing bad to say about the company, only good things.

I have been very impressed with every interaction I’ve had with Mother Computers. We purchased our previous computer from a certain big box store. Although we saved money up front, the after-sales support was often disappointing. If it had to go in for servicing, we wouldn’t see it for days or weeks, which is not an option for us. This time, we decided to go to Mother Computers to see what they have to offer. They have a full range of brand name PCs and, if you don’t see what you need, they will build you a custom PC on site. They also have a team on site to provide servicing, either same day or next day. After discussing our options, we decided on an Acer All-in-One as it was cheaper than buying the individual components. Their price was $100 higher than another store and when I mentioned this, they immediately matched the lower price. We paid for the data transfer service and it was ready to go the next morning. Very happy with the new PC. Have since been in to have the hard drive replaced on a laptop and it’s vasty improved. Their staff are friendly, helpful, knowledgeable and professional.

We specifically asked for a desktop that could take our external harddrive internally. They assured us that was possible with the one they were offering. We bought it and left them to transfer data. We received no phone calls and when we picked it up they said they couldn't install the harddrive and that we could use it externally. Since we bought it specifically for that purpose and they specifically told us it would be possible, we were not happy but they not only would not offer us anything, they did not admit that it was false advertising. Since all our data was now transferred onto the new computer we were stuck and they are laughing all the way to the bank. They scammed us and lied to us. I would not go to this store or recommend anyone take a chance on finding satisfaction here. Shysters.

Do not recommend! I took my laptop in after being hit with thousands of spam e-mails in a 2 hour period. The 2 owners both assured me it was only spam e-mails and nothing to do with any virus, hacker, etc. They both insisted nothing could be done to stop receiving them but change my email address and there was no threat to be concerned about. One hour later my bank account was hacked as a result of this. The next computer store I went to was shocked and appalled that Mothers not only knew nothing of this apparently well known hacking technique but also opened many of the infected files which allowed them access. I called Mothers later to inform them of the threat of these types of threats as they were oblivious to it and they blew me right off, could have cared less! Very incompetent and condescending in my opinion and I for one will never return or recommend Mothers again!

I have a 15 year old son, like most boys his age he likes to game. For Xmas I wanted to have his old computer upgraded. I no so so little about computers. I went into mothers computers and can out feeling like I was treated well and educated and treated like I was a person not a dollar sign.

I had a problem where my HDMI port was not working on my computer so I took it to Mothers Computers... big mistake. I told them the problem I was having, It cost me $70 just for them to run some stress programs on my computer, completely ignoring the actual problem, they then handed it back to me saying everything was good to go which was BS. They also left these files on my computer when I got it back. They were completely incompetent and lazy. EDIT: No thanks, Gizmos has earned my business. Go check out their review and take notes. We had a computer catch fire on Saturday morning and called around noon. Received a very friendly invite from Carson and were welcomed to bring it down. At 1 pm we were told that although they were busy they would look at it since they were closed on Sunday. Got a call back before 4 pm with a diagnosis and that they would try and have it totally rebuilt by closing at 5 pm. What a team of guys, the owner Raj, kept us entertained while Nick and Itai stayed nearly an hour after closing and had the rebuild and extras completed for us. Can't say enough about these guys.

They have always provided professional and prompt service, and explained things in easy to understand terms. Repair options were well laid out, and we have never felt pressured to spend more on upgrades. Prices are fair. We don't look elsewhere when we get this reliable and consistent service.

I made a purchase at this store today about 10 minutes ago and had to write a review! I bought an Asus charger. The store not only had the only Asus charger in town (all the other places only had universal chargers or third party chargers), but they cost the least amount of money in town! And the most important part of the transaction was that the person working there was so kind and understanding. I was having an incredibly tough day at work so having a charger to finish deadlines on my laptop was really make it or break it for me. I wish I asked for the employees name because I really appreciated his kind help and think he should be recognized for it. Thank you!

These guys are helpful and knowledgeable, also very willing to work with whatever budget you give them rather than trying to up-sell you to the poorhouse. I've bought 5 computers thru Mother and have been extremely satisfied with every one. They may be a bit more expensive than Best Buy or whatever but they have excellent customer service and stand behind their products, any issues get resolved immediately.

My kids picked a few keys off the keyboard of my laptop no biggie so I take it to mothers and I'm told yeah sure no problem we can fix it it will be a week fast forward 3 weeks later they say that that cant fix it but now instead of being out a few keys they have completely removed function aside from my power button I had more functionality before I went there then I do after having it Fixed if they had just been honest with me from the start this would have been a better ending for us all

Mother’s hooked me up with a good used PC that was about half the price of a new custom build when mine was no longer adequate. Despite a sticky power button, which I had to have returned and repaired and cleaned, the service was excellent from start to finish so thanks to Clyde and Matt for that. I’d rate them 4.6 stars so rounded up my review to 5.

While the staff is knowledgeable and they have a nice selection for most, They use salesman/high pressure sales tactics that try to sell you something you don't know you want. I went in one day looking for a processor for about 400$ and I was told it would be almost impossible to find one, so the guy suggests I upgrade my motherboard and buy a next generation processor that was a better choice because the processor i want would be over 500+ yet the suggestion they gave me was priced at about 700$ , funny enough Ifound the processor i wanted on usedvictoria, brand new in an unopened box for exactly 400$ which is currently what I'm using. I recommend this place if you go for exactly what you want, and nothing else, don't let them convince you to buy something you don't need. PS: I bought a "Brand new" motherboard and a graphics card there and both were already registered before I got home, they have some shady bullsh*t going on there.

I don’t want to be vindictive or police businesses, however Mother Computer seems to be “scalping” rare equipment such as the GeForce 3080 graphics card and also giving a bit of a hustle vibe. This is what happened: I heard they had 3080 graphics in stock. I called in and simply said "Do you have any 3080s in stock". A woman person answered hesitantly, and then after a wait, I was transferred to a man who began a pitch saying they just had a single Zotac 3080. He was selling for $1649. When I pointed out this was $600 over MSRP, they paid $150” over MSRP". There’s several things wrong with the statements above. I don’t personally judge “scalpers” but this seems to be the same behavior. From a retail perspective, I’ve never seen this a mature retail store behave like this, and it feels seedy and amateurish. I would be worried about the warranty.
