I can not begin to say enough good things about the staff at Memory Express in Victoria. They were exceptionally helpful, courteous, kind, considerate, as well as knowledgeable. Customer service was simply superlative, the best I have had in any store that I can remember. I was greeted with a smile by all who work there each and every time I entered the store and was served as if I were a good friend rather than a customer. The staff went out of their way to accommodate not only my legitimate needs but also a few special requests I made. Again all of this with a smile and friendly attitude that made my dealings with them nothing short of a complete pleasure. I must make a special mention of Adam who served me. He was outstanding and I later learned that he is one of the managers. Clearly someone who promoted him to this position has a good eye for talent. A few months ago I purchased a Samsung Odyssey G7 monitor, and I also purchased their in store replacement plan. After having a hiccup on it this morning I took it in for them to have a look at it. Before I even fully walked in I had a couple super helpful associates offer help, and took it away for triage. Less than 30 minutes later they couldn't find an issue and offered a few different options. End of the day, I was pretty stressed out, but everyone is just super helpful, I'll keep shopping there.

They offer a price beat guarantee for products from any Canadian manufacturer that has the product in stock meaning support your local store instead of Amazon and if an online retailer has a better price they will beat it meaning you don't need to have a prime subscription or wait 2 days to 2 weeks for your PC components, you can simply purchase local and get quality parts the same day with a free smile included. this business adheres to strict covet regulations, has multiple hand sanitizer locations, has two meter dividers and free face masks and shields between the employees and the customers making it one of the most safe places I have visited in regards to covid. The staff is extremely helpful and are willing to go the extra mile to help you out whether you've built 10 computers in the past or it's your first time building your first PC. They also do not support people who take advantage of things like the GPU shortage offering a two per household limit on certain GPUs during the current shortage. they are very strict on this policy which allows people to have a chance at getting a GPU which with the existence of online bots and people purchasing up lots to sell them for a profit becoming more difficult a thing of the past. Would give a six star rating if I could.

This place is honestly the best place for computer parts. This one guy, named Mannfred (called himself Mannie) is super helpful, professional, and in general a nice guy to be with. he is able to help me pick out better parts than what I suggested to him, parts like getting a better CPU so instead of a intel i9 9900k he suggested I get an i7 10700F, which he says is better. the guy knows me as "Waseem". I actually have a set of parts on hold made by him. If you ever need any parts or services, you got guys like Mannie here who can help.

Very good procedures and protocols for safety during Covid-19. I felt a little chastised for moving a little off the mark on the floor at the register. I have a brain injury and I can quite easily forget what I'm doing or what's happening around me, so it would be nice if the staff here (and elsewhere) realized a gentle reminder is sometimes what's needed. Knowledgeable staff, based not only on my transaction, but also what I heard staff saying to other customers.

Fantastic service even through the distancing and safety precautions of the pandemic. They offered me tips on how to price match to save me money on subsequent purchases, which really surprised me. Both folks I spoke to knew their stuff and were quite passionate about hardware. To my surprise, they had a super quick turnaround on complimentary motherboard / CPU / RAM / cooler assembly to test all of my components and ensure they were updated and running properly. ME operates on the model all computer and tech stores should strive to keep up with. Very impressed and I’m absolutely a happy customer! Whatever it is that they’re doing, it’s working!

I used pcpartpicker to build my new PC... The mistake I made was not ordering everything from MemoryExpress. They price match! Not only do they price match, they are very helpful. I had an issue where a part ordered from NewEgg was faulty, they helped me as much as they could through the diagnosis of the issue. I hope I get the names correct here... I dealt with Sugi and Manny regarding a monitor upgrade at the Victoria location. Sugi was extremely helpful over the phone and when I came to the store he was helping another customer so I dealt with Manny. I received absolutely top tier service from both of these individuals, which was consistent with my usual experience with Memory Express, which is why I shop here whenever I have an important purchase to make. The great customer service experience took my initial purchase budget from about $160 to about $850, because I decided to do a few more upgrades than I initially anticipated and spent a bit more on products that more closely matched my needs. I will be back many more times in the future!

Phenomenal would be the one word to describe my experience at Memory Express Victoria. My expectations were blown away by the stellar customer service from each staff member and the pure professionalism by this team. I had come in Sunday to budget a new work station and was guided over to Morgan. I let him know my budget and he would then start the process of working together a configuration that didn't cut corners on performance. Morgan made the effort to walk me through the process of his decision making and creating that environment which was super involved to make sure my needs/requirements were met. And it didn't stop with Morgan, every team member who was free that day would offer their advice for this build to make it what it is today. The communication with him and his team would almost be visualized as a olympic relay team surrounded by computer parts. After two days, the PC was ready. Like most places, once you have paid for your products, you find the the customer service standards drop as soon as you get the receipt. This is not the case with Memory Express. The same customer service I first received was still there when I had arrived a second time for pick up. I was surprised at the level of protocols they take to ensure you have everything ready to go before you leave, all the way to even walking it to your car. In a world of online shopping, places like memory express shows that it's absolutely worth it to come in person. Not only for the products but the unique culture/expertise they provide to every customer coming through those doors. Thank you for the laughs Morgan and Thank you to the Team at Memory Express!

Had a legit awesome experience today at Memory Express. I had gone to a different place trying to order a top end, 4 grand laptop and essentially got brushed off, even though I had cash in hand. I called Memory express and Sugi was glad to help me! I drove over and he was ready and waiting to help me. He got my laptop ordered for me, no problem at all and was super excited for me! That was the kind of experience I was looking for when walking in to buy that kind of computer! 10/10 would repeat.

I had an excellent experience with Memory Express. I was planning to build my new PC after ordering all the parts online at the cheapest prices I could find. I had never been in the store before this. Walked in after a friend told me about them. I knew things were off to a good start when I asked the question "Do you guys have the RTX 2080 available?" and the response was something like, "Yes, which one, Asus?, MSI?"... Not only did they have the video card I wanted, but they had it about $80 less than what I was going to pay on Newegg. Add to this they had literally every single other component I wanted, available in stock. Hell, they even had the exact model and color of case I wanted. I ended up paying less than I was expecting to. I will certainly come back in the future when I am looking to upgrade of build a new system. Very happy with my new build. Had a really good experience getting my laptop serviced with the folks at Memory Express Victoria recently! It's a 2015 ASUS laptop that had some weird battery placement choices made during manufacturing, and the team here took it apart, tested the components, ordered the new part I needed, installed it and gave me a detailed time log at the end, all for a very reasonable price. On top of which, it wasn't busy when we went in to pick it up and they took the time to help us troubleshoot/figure out some performance issues I'd been having, and advised us on how to do some more troubleshooting and fixes on our own, and how to approach physical upgrades to the machine too. We bought a new drive they recommended, got it home, followed their advice, and now my 4-year-old laptop is preforming *better* than it did when it was brand new! TL;DR I felt the price was fair and I was really blown away by the service. Friendly staff to boot, who don't talk down to you if you're not super computer savvy. We'll definitely be back! Called in, got a guy named David. He was like a scarecrow, out-standing in his field. I came in looking for the 2060 Ultra KO and he pointed me towards the more expensive 2070 Super. Which was totally awesome. Unfortunately I didn't have the right PCIE 2+6 cable to power the card : (. And this particular cable was nigh impossible to find. But this Harrison Ford like motherlicker named David found one, like a holy grail among random parts. Not only did he find it, the manager agreed to just give it me. Made my month. Where to even start? I dealt mostly with Adam and Elsa who took pains to give me a plethora of options for the budget I was working with, I had very specific needs as I was replacing a laptop due to space requirements. Having once owned and worked for many years in a computer store I can tell you with authority that they have endless amounts of knowledge and want nothing more then to meet your needs and do the very best they can for you. Love this place. My first experience with them was around a year ago, where they were willing to price match a GPU that was deeply discounted elsewhere. That card wound up having issues and I had to send it for repairs, but that's not MemoryExpress's fault at all. Now just recently, I upgraded my motherboard, SSD, and got a new case fan - stellar experiences both times I dropped by. No hassles, helpful staff. The staff super friendly! willing to do anything to help you!, but I went there a few weeks ago to have my pc serviced and all I got was a headache ???? 3 weeks of me brining my pc there for them to find out what was wrong with by computer and a lot of “ so many variables” my pc bsod under-load load alot, my build is not top of the line by any means but it should run ok, ryzen 2600, 16gb of GSkill trident z, RX 580 etc. But my case was a Corsair spec-05. I have everything running on a gigabyte b450 motherboard with one fan header. And then the technician suggested I buy a nvme which I did, and I was not and issue with the storage ,so I took it in again and they couldn’t find out the issues *before you think that I should have know about the issues I had no idea because this was the first pc I built myself. The case was to small, not enough air flow, But it was my fiancé who has never built a pc before figured that out and said that it was hot to the touch. They never checked the thermals until I asked them about it. Suggested I buy a new case, *which I did before they suggested bought the Fractal meshify 2 from there store , and never offered to just put parts in the new case I bought from them plus payed them to servie my pc, they tried to charge me even more for the care swap , and ultimately it was my fiancé that discovered the issue. Just saying, I felt like I got screwed

Everyone reccomended this place, so I gave it a chance. Best decision ever! The service is by far the best I have received in all my retail experience. The staff are kind, knowledgable, supportive and really know what they are talking about. They built me the ultimate gaming/streaming rig and its been an excellent machine. I normally don't buy extended services, but they suggested it and said they will take care of anything that happened. Well after about 9 months my water cooler started acting up, not only did they take my machine in right away, but they replaced the broken part and installed some more upgrades at no extra charge (other then the cost of the extra new add ons), because I had the coverage. Hands down, would reccomend the Victoria store as they are absolute legends and won't let you down.

Thank you, finally a large computer store in Victoria. Before, if you wanted to build a computer it was required that you buy the parts online. This is a smaller store, but for the size has a wonderfully large selection. Also, doesn't include a hefty markup because it's on the island, and the only option. :D

Great experience. Walked in and was promptly helped by a kind young man with impeccable manners (I never got his name). Told him I needed a wifi card and a video camera and he gave me his recommendations for my price range, went and got them for me and everything. No browsing reading boxes and labels forever, great way to run a shop like this! I got an internal wifi card, thinking I had a spare PCIe slot, which I did not (all my fault). So I bused back to return it for an external one and the same gentleman had me ready in 1 minute with a new external one for the same price. I'd leave six stars.

The representative I walked in this store right after they opened at 10 AM. As I come in, I notice 4 staff behind the counter and 3 of them are available to assist me. I would say that I received excellent proactive service. One of them asked me right away: “Is there anything I can help you with today?” They were all standing upright and each one was wearing the black company polo shirt. There was no other customer at the moment, so I did not see how they would have interacted with them. The knowledgeable representative that assisted me ended by saying “Take my card and if you have any other question, don’t hesitate to contact me. It will be my pleasure to help!” David was very helpful and I believe that the level of service I have received far exceeds that of other electronics companies in the area. The business The store was in impeccable condition both inside and outside. There was plenty of parking to choose from in front of the store and the signage was very easy to identify. Inside the store is perfectly organized in a way that makes it very easy to find what you are looking for at a glance. Background music was cheerfully upbeat and was at a perfectly comfortable level. There is plenty of aisle space to make for an easy shopping experience, even with a walker or wheelchair. Absolutely no lineup at the time I visited, in fact quite the opposite: it seemed the staff was lining up to help serve me! Summary In short, I would say that I have received an exceptional experience shopping at this store and I would highly recommend checking it out. I wouldn’t have much to suggest at all to the management to help improve customer service. Having qualified staff who asks you questions about what you are specifically looking for, then offers insightful suggestions is an excellent way to ensure that every customer will leave the store happy. This company clearly knows what they are doing. Well done!

Called in, got a guy named David. He was like a scarecrow, out-standing in his field. I came in looking for the 2060 Ultra KO and he pointed me towards the more expensive 2070 Super. Which was totally awesome. Unfortunately I didn't have the right PCIE 2+6 cable to power the card : (. And this particular cable was nigh impossible to find. But this Harrison Ford like motherlicker named David found one, like a holy grail among random parts. Not only did he find it, the manager agreed to just give it me. Made my month. Polite, helpful staff. Great prices. Plus they price match...beat rather should they not be the cheapest option. They seem to cater to the gamer more so than other stores. They bent over backwards to make sure I left a happy customer. Due to no fault of their own this build did not go as well as previous builds but they did their best to help get me up and running. I was sold a bogus copy of Windows 10 a year or so ago from a now defunct computer company. There were several returns and phone calls before I discovered the issue was not hardware related but software. Tim, the manager was kind enough to take my repeated, desperate calls while we tried to figure it out. He went above and beyond if you ask me. Mannfred was also very helpful via email and in person when sussing out the parts for this build and continues to be of great assistance. I needed some replacement parts for my case that they did not carry. He asked that I email a link for the part and before I knew it he replied back that he found them and they'd be here sometime the following week. They are now my go to store for all my PC needs and I'd recommend them in a heart beat!

1 star - website showed 5 in stock for a certain product, provided legitimate pricebeat, gets a call from one of their reps saying that they don't have it in stock and to purchase it from the competitor. After 10 to 15 mins, they claim that they have it in stock....sounds a little sketchy. I will be taking your advice and will take my business to the competitor instead.

Went to get a new headset and monitor understanding they price matched amazon. Manager looked at the headset on Amazon said he couldn't do it because it was a "prime deal" which I have never heard a store tell me before when price matching with them. Went home and was able to purchase them fine off Amazon without prime. Was hoping to bring home some new equipment tonight but that will just have to wait a few days. I bought an ultrawide monitor from them, brought it home and found a defect in the monitor stand, they told me to bring it back in and they'd make it right. They put the new one together and tested EVERYTHING right in front of me, packaged everything back up like it was factory new and sent me off with a smile from everyone working there.
