I've had several bouts of bad luck with my phone lately due to hard falls, and the latest one rendered my phone completely dead. I was so devastated because I had hundreds of travel photos on it (which I thought were not backed up). I dropped it with Black Apple Uptown and the prognosis was grim. I couldn't even sleep I was so worried about my photos. A few days later, I came in expecting the worse news after my iPhone 8plus took a short bath but no! He saved it!!! I swear this man is a bonafide phone surgeon. I literally cried when he showed me my phone, shining with its glowing lock-screen glory. If You need help with your trashed phone, I'm pretty sure this man can help you. Some things are beyond help - and I was so sure my phone was - but he does everything he can to make his customers happy. He's also very empathetic towards your problem because, as we all know, our phones are so connected to our lives. I'm so grateful he managed to work a miracle! I can only give 5 stars for this review since that is the limit here, but I'd give more if there were an option. Prices are reasonable and the work is genuine and to the best of ability. Great customer service. Brought my phone in because it wasn't charging. They cleaned the charging port (twice because first pass at didn't work) and got it working again. Could have easily gave up and charged me $90 to replace the charging port. Instead it was free and my phone is back to 100% with 10 minutes of effort.

I went here for a new battery for a second hand cell phone thinking I would get the phone in good working order before setting it up with a phone plan. Aman was quick to save me sixty dollars by telling me the battery still had lots of life and could easily be replaced should it start giving me any trouble. He was friendly, helpful and honest and I would definitely bring any phone there if I needed help with it!

I took my iPad Air2 in for a screen replacement. There had also been some damage inside but of unknown nature until it was cracked open. I was very pleased with the knowledge and expertise of the technician. I appreciated his decision making... informing me of decisions which he deemed important and just going ahead on some minor items. The screen I received had a tiny cosmetic flaw. I never would have noticed it if the technician had not pointed it out and offered to RMA the screen or give me a small discount so I'd add in "honest" to my praise.

The tech, Lovey, was quick to point that he would try and clean it first and save me the potential issue of a cracked screen when they tried to remove it to fix the charging port (very possible with that version!). DO NOT replace iPhone screen here!!! Unless you want to test my word with your $$$$ and time. Go apple.ca make an appointment with apple approved fix shop nearby!!! The quality of their screen is poor. My iPhone11pro's screen is completely dead after two weeks of their service. The fixing price is too high now. I have to buy a new phone.

I went in to Black Apple Cellular at Uptown this evening after 2 stores told me I needed a new phone. The person working fixed the issue in 2 seconds as a measure of good will and now my phone will work for many years to come. My current plan is $35/month, the new phone plan would be $70. I’ll definitely be back to spend some money here next chance I get, thank you for the help!

I went in for a repair of my charge port with Black Apple at Uptown. First time i brought it in they repaired the charge port but the headphone jack was faulty. I contacted them and they said "bring it it and we'll repair it for you no problem". Show up the next morning first thing and they're too busy to deal with the errors they've made that morning and say to come back at 2. I leave and change my day around to come back at 3 to give them a little extra time and they still haven't started on the repair or received the parts. I get the phone back by 6pm at this point and when I get home the Mic is now faulty in the piece they repaired it with. I then had to go waste more of my time once again bringing this in for another repair. Third times a charm maybe? Don't waste your time bringing your devices here for repair unless you want to gamble on working parts. The parts they source are from their third party supplier in china as he confirmed. They're cheap parts and prone to failing it would seem. Completely unsatisfied with this exchange and for $100 and all the back and forth they required me to do I would have thought they would of compensated me for the labour at the very least which must of been all of it judging by the quality of their parts.

Don't bother wasting your time trying to sell any electronics to these guys. Even though they know the risks in buying used phones or tablets they lowball you so badly that they should not even consider buying used electronics. Its embarrassing and your ready to start a real problem in negotiating. Don't advertise "Sell or Trade" if your not going to be even remotely close to market price or ready to negotiate reasonably. If your scared or taking a risk that you will buy something that will be blacklisted in the future then just keep your current business open to fixing and selling your own products. $30 dollars for a 2 month old tablet that is worth 150 to 200 on the market used is an insult. Grow up or get out of the market of buying used electronics. Nuff said.

Called to see about servicing my phone with a defective mic. They said the part would be in on friday and i could do a walk in on saturday. Dropped my car off for service at 830, waited 90 minutes for blackapple to open just to be told they didn't order the part and to come back another time.

Excellent place. I was hesitant to trust a new repair shop, but this guy repaired my phone in just over five minutes. He was patient, honest, showed me what he was doing so I could understand the problem, and only charged me fifteen dollars for the repair (the price is based on how long it takes to fix, but they don't go over a certain price point). Make sure you tip, cuz they deserve it for not wasting any time (nor charging you for slow work).

A friend recommended this location as the place to have a repair done for my iPhone. Simerpreet greeted me and was polite and knowledgeable: I was asked to wait a few minutes for him to discern what needed to be done, and then told that it would take 2 hours, as there were several other work orders that day. I went on other errands and came back to a happily repaired phone. Needing a receipt describing the repair for my workplace, he was happy to provide such a thing. Many thanks!

UNPLEASANT AND UNINTERESTED EMPLOYEES AND TOTAL SCAM.. i cant believe the attitudes of the guys working at the uptown location... from the moment i walked in there totally polite and asking for help, they act like they cant be bothered and have no service skills whatsoever, they have bad attitudes and they don't even know what they are doing! LITERALLY..they have no clue what they are talking about for the simplest of things, i could not believe it! way too long of a story that i had to come back three days in a row for the simplest of things. also their prices are just picked out of the air and charging way too much! and i was told three different prices for the same service and not one of them had the same story...and no proof of price list or anything. so many things i could say how these guys treated me with their attitudes when i was polite and patient for so long, but all in all, this is an awful scam of a place with self entitled employees. DON'T WASTE YOUR TIME.

If I could give 100 stars I would! My charging port was doing something weird and my phone provider tried to fix it but just said I'd have to get a new phone and buy out my contact. I brought I think to Black Apple and I'm 2 minutes he fixed it wasn't even going to charge me but I insisted to give him something as he just saved me $800.

Buyer beware, this place will lure you into the store by making promises over the phone then changing the story when you get there; they are not an Authorized Apple Service Center. I called about getting an iPhone screen replaced, asked how long it will be and if I could wait, they said yes it only takes 45 minutes and they had stock. I was quoted $425 for the replacement. When I get there, after I sign my life away and give them my passcode which isn't required for screen replacement, I'm told after the fact that oh this isn't an actual screen from Apple so you may get a message saying that. The guy then says "it's 11:30am right now, can you pick it up at 12:30-1?" I said it's actually 11:12am right now, you said it takes 45 minutes, can I not pick it up at 12? Then he tells me he doesn't actually have the screen in stock and his delivery driver will be there at 12-12:30pm. So instead of a drop off and wait I have to make other arrangements to come back later that afternoon. Now for the worst part: not only is there a message that comes up on the screen all day that this display is not legitimate, the screen itself is terrible and is hurting my eyes because it's not the same as the original Apple screen. I did more research and found out London Drugs is an Apple Certified Repair Center that uses legitimate parts, I called them and was told a legitimate screen from Apple is $365. The screen I was sold is so bad and unusable that I'm willing to spend even more money to get it replaced with a legit one. So not only did I get ripped off and overcharged, I was sold a knock-off screen that's worse. Don't get your phone fixed here.

I'm visiting your beautiful country and recently found myself in urgent need of a replacement battery for an older model cell phone. I had a pretty miserable experience with Blackapple Cellular in Uplands Mall, Victoria BC. The guy in the booth assured me he could get me one in two days (which stopped me from looking elsewhere). I called on the second day to be told, "nuh, he couldn't get it from Vancouver as promised, it would now take 16 days for it to come from China", which was beyond my departure date. He had my number and he could have at least called to let me know. Very unhappy about his lack of Customer Care skills. A printed price list would also have been appreciated instead of the way he seemed to pluck the 'number' out of his head. Never again. Be warned.

Needed to move my data from my old phone which had a cracked screen and black. It took longer than I expected 1 hr and cost 70 plus taxes. Too expensive...and my black lab therapy dog wasn't allowed in so it made that difficult as well. Only 1 client can be in the kiosk at a time. Maybe they need a slider window? My dog didn't have is vest on but I did explain...in all fairness.
