Had my computer stop working this AM, just when I was on a deadline for things to be done... panicking, I called a few places, no response at one, the other just didn't feel right.. Then I got Aaron at Century and he said they had an opening to bring it right in. Which I did and a few hours later, the hard drive was fixed, my computer software cleaned up, and the bill was very reasonable for all that was done. Very professional in communication, in their work, and the shop is so organized and clean. I'm going there for my next computer, or if this one..knock on wood... ever breaks down again. My wife Lee and I bought refurbished DELL computers from Century about a month ago. They transferred our data for a flat fee and provided 2 computers at a reasonable price that so far have performed much much better than our previous computers. The staff were professional and quick to figure out what kind of computer would suit our needs and to answer questions that came up during and after our purchase. They came highly recommended by a friend and we agree with their recommendation. The only problem we have encountered is with our email system. We both use email a lot and I have a very extensive set of folders etc. The problems are not Century's fault - they are due to the changes in Microsoft's pricing and options for Outlook. Century staff have been helpful in discussing the pros and cons of various options. We're both experimenting with Outlook's free online system to see if we want to continue with that or switch to another system. We don't mind paying for a program and I have used Outlook for many years; but MS' current price for installing on our computers is too high for home use and their annual subscription is ridiculously costly in our view; if the free ad based online Outlook doesn't work out we'll try Thunderbird, which is highly recommended. We're also trying out Libreoffice as a free equivalent of Word, Excel & Powerpoint after having used MS Ofc for years. So far Libreoffice is working out well (we'll donate to them if all goes well).

I'm typing this out on my new computer that I picked up today at CENTURY COMPUTER. The company is a small local outfit, situated on Spring Garden Road. I purchased a reasonably priced refurbished computer from them and I am totally happy with the results. My old computer was running soooooo very slowly and every now then it would clutch it's digital chest and cough dramatically and shout out - "This is the big one. I'm coming to join you, Elizabeth." The new computer is a huge improvement. Sure, it's refurbished - but that was all my budget would allow me to purchase. I am very happy with the performance of the new computer. As a writer I need a good reliable computer and I am certain that this machine is going to improve my writing output considerably. I'd recommend CENTURY COMPUTER for all of your computer needs.

Brought in computer suspecting a fried motherboard, said they would do about an hours work for $45 and let me know what they could find. Called me a couple days later and said that they determined my power supply worked and for further investigation it would be $75 an hour. I discontinued my service with them. I knew the power supply worked and could have proved so after 5 minutes of diagnostic on my own. I feel as though for a professional company to determine this it would be even less time. Overall disappointed with the quality of work.

I am thankful & happy my DIL recommended Century Computers to me as a not so knowledgeable senior, whose computer is her life line now I'm retired. They were very professional and helpful ANND I think very reasonable. My Asus computer tower is approx. 9 yrs. old, I never had one problem with it, until last week, :o( and now it's like a brand new one thanks to Rick Johnson, it was brought into CC's in pristine condition and returned in pristine condition, something I feared when picking it up. Now it's so fast and works better than I expected, thank you folks at Century Computers for making my life easier and happier. I recommend this company whole heartedly. :o) Thank you and "see" you again!!
