When my acer laptop charger died and I needed a new one right away, I was able to get a replacement charger in minutes thanks to the Brilliance Computer Technologies. They were really kind and helpful and the prices for a replacement charger were better than that of big brand technology stores.

Customer service is not great. The first time I used their services, had to call them many times to get updates on progress. I continued to have problems with the laptop and now its non-functional. Didn't get much explanation of what they will do differently to not have the same problem recur. Wish I had received the same good service and helpful explanations that some other reviewers have, but my experiences have not been that.

I dont usually leave reviews, but here we go... I spent about 2500 dollars on all brand new computer parts, the guys helped me choose and decide what i should get... I finally bought all the parts, brought it all home and began putting it together... I was having loads of problems, motherboard wouldn't start up again after it just started up, couldn't update my bios... ECT... So I brought it back to them explained the situation and they completely understood how upset i was, they knew me pretty well as i was coming in every second week and spending a few hundred dollars, so... What do they do? One of the employees is checking to see if anything is damaged and is firing it back up and fixing whatever problems I encountered, also they agreed to replace anything if something is NOT working properly as they are all new parts. What do I have to say for this company? They're amazing. The cheapest computer store in the HRM, and always willing to give a helping hand if needed. I absolutely recommend this store, they're fantastic! Thanks a lot Brilliance! :D

They carry used and refurbished PC parts for pennies on the dollar. Sadly as with most Halifax locations they don't have a large selection of legacy AMD components but these guys know what hardware would work with the system anyway. Fair pricing and knowledgeable staff.

Best repair experience I have ever had, i typically do my own repairs but the tech who came to me was professional n quick he didnt try to make me think it was some terrible problem and overcharge me for expertise I came to him with an idea of what was wrong he told me I was right and offered to sell me a replacement on the spot cheaper than amazon... And what a guy great personality very smart. I recommend anyone nearby or far to use these guys. They wont try to stretch the hour just to get the full hour price. Awesome job. Will call back from now on for any issues.

I only stopped going here for my gear because I moved to Montréal. Been a customer for well over a decade if I remember right, long enough I can't recall how long. I always go to Brilliance first, before any big box shop or the internet, because they know what they are talking about, I have yet to stump them, they don't over sell products a person doesn't need, their prices are competitive, and if you don't know how to, they can build you a system to suit your needs.

They tried to recover the data, but the configuration of the hard drive made it impossible. They did not charge me for the time it took to try, and then recommended a company that might be able to do it. I appreciate their kindness and professionalism.

I have been using them for my goto guys for my PC needs; for 23 years at least.

brought in a desk top computer for a fix. was told i needed a new mother board as they could not repair it. after buying a new motherboard i sent the 'broken' motherboard to the manufacturer...all it needed was a BIOS update. replacing the motherboard was completely unnecessary. hard to believe that any computer repair place thinks a BIOS update means you need to replace motherboard. second experience was in having an upgrade done. they needed to ask 3 times what i wanted done, even tho i had spoken to 2 ppl and written down what i wanted done (still took over 2 weeks). when i got my computer back i found that parts had been removed from my system (and not given back to me) 128ssd removed and not given back. i had not wanted the drive removed. just wanted an additional new one installed. customer service was dismal to non existent. took 2 weeks + for both trips for relatively easy fixes. needed to call in multiple times to get updates on timeframes, none were kept. if you are looking for a typical poor experience in getting your computer repaired this is the place.

I am using my iPad to send this message. I dropped off my Lenovo laptop for maintenance at 11:30 Wednesday Feb 26 2020 as it was running slow after my Installation of the latest windows update. The man that took it said usually it takes 2 to 3 days for maintenance work but he would see if the tech could look at it sooner. I went back to the shop on Friday and was told that it was on the bench and it may be ready Saturday when they work from 10am to 2pm. I returned Monday March 2 only to be told that it is still running slow and they would look at it some more but the tech could not tell me what the problem might be. Therefore I lost faith in them at that point so I took it after paying $103 for nothing. The tech told me I could bring it back free of charge if I wanted to. Now that I have tried it at home it is no better and In fact slower to function then before. So would you take your computer there for maintenance? I hope not.

One of the hinges one my laptop had broken so I was looking for a computer repair place that wouldn't break the bank or anything. I eventually found that this store had a lot of positive reviews so I decided to try them even though they were a bit out of the usual way for me. It took about three days for them to replace and repair the hinge on my laptop and it cost around 40 dollars for it which I thought was a very good price.
