Very honest and beyond helpful people. Definitely a gem of a business with great business morals. Came by with a campervan about to fall apart with slipping transmission looking to get a rebuild/replacement for a steep but reasonable price. Was given a quote and a very lucky recommendation for a transmission diagnostic before going further. We left to look around for a cheaper alternative and came back deciding to go through with a diagnosis first. Michelle the lovely lady in the office was very compassionate and understanding and squeezed us in to a slot that day. Shaun's diagnosis resulted with a easy $200 fix that got us back on the road. None of the other 'experiencd' mechanics we visited even mentioned it was a fuel pump issue. This place has an all star team.

My car overheated on my way from Fernie to Panorama. They saw me within the hour, diagnosed it very quickly and had me on my way the next morning. Friendly competent staff. They gave me a ride to the hotel and the mechanic stayed late so he could get me going sooner. Thank-you so much for making a disaster a way better experience.

I called Blake from EK transmission after I had my transmission serviced at a shop that left me with a leaking, non shifting and whining transmission. The original shop finally fixed the leaking and shifting issue, but didn't want to help me any further with the whining when cold. After Blake listened very well to my story, he confirmed my suspicion that the original shop had used knock off materials that caused the filter to clog up the whole transmission and could possibly have ruined it. Blake changed it out with the proper original filter and the issue was solved. He did it very quickly so I could have the car back before the weekend. And he even helped me with calibrating my seats after that problem arose after the repair. Thanks so much for a timely, efficient and effective repair. Would suggest to anyone with transmission issues.

I took my car to check in a problem. I am not a mechanic and am not very technical. I found that everyone I talked to was professional and courteous. They told me what the problem was and as any good mechanic would, that I should talk with fixing the small thing first. Prices are a bit high but I found it generally the case in small towns.

We had excellent care and service from EK Transmission. When our daughter (who was in Cranbrook studying) had her car completely break down, she was given the name of EK Transmission from the tow truck driver who rescued her. We were able to make arrangements for repair from here in Calgary, and it was such a relief to know that she was being well taken care of given that we weren't there to assist her (one of the hardest things as a parent - not being there to help when emergencies arise!) The fact that they were able to squeeze her in right before a long weekend was a real godsend. Despite the vehicle having other issues that our local dealership has tried to sell us on for some time, EK Transmission focused on dealing with the matter at hand and ensuring that she would be safe on the road and didn't try to upsell on anything. We found the service excellent, the prices good and the whole establishment to be very friendly and trustworthy (and of course the work done was excellent and got our girl very safely on the road again!) We highly recommend EK Transmission to anyone in the Cranbrook area requiring a mechanic - you will be in good hands!

Took alittle longer than expected, but parts were having a hard time shipping because of covid. The 2 yr/60,000km warranty definitely makes me feel better about the quality of work. Was passing through Cranbrook in our 1980 Dodge Campervan and it felt like our transmission had been slipping. We were recommended this place by some locals and could not have been happier with their friendly and helpful service. What was even better was that our transmission was fine, and they rediagnosed the problem to be the fuel pump to the engine causing the jerking which we thought was the transmission. They ordered the part from a nearby supplier and we were in and out within 2 hours, despite them being quite busy. Shawn was unbelievably helpful, taking our van on test runs and making sure everything was good to go even before we paid the bill and sent us on our way. Michelle at the front desk eased our worries and was very friendly. Would recommend this service to anyone and everyone. 10+ stars

I just took my car to EK Transmission for the second time, once for an alternator and the second time for a power steering hose. Still being relatively new to Cranbrook, I was weary about finding a new mechanic but I no longer have concerns about that. The front office staff is friendly and knowledgeable and the mechanics are quick to get your vehicle back to you with the job done right. They also don't try to sell you work that isn't needed which can be an added concern, being a woman. I wish I could give them more than 5 stars!! I will have no worries about taking my car to them again and would freely recommend them!!! I'm so grateful for their great work and service and will take my vehicle her for as long as I'm in Cranbrook.
