A local computer repair shop quoted me 100$ for a fan I needed to replace, not including the 100$ labour cost. LaptopParts had the same part I needed for 30$ with free shipping. It only took 5 days to arrive and after a fairly simple install, my computer fan is fixed. This site literally saved me a month of wait times and 170$ in repair fees, I cannot recommend them enough.

Ordered a computer charger from this website thinking I would buy a genuine trusted charger instead of a dangerous knock-off off Amazon. My original charger died so I wanted a new one ASAP. Was very excited that they claimed to ship within 24 hours of processing the receipt, and paid for 1-3 day express shipping. They include a box at checkout to enter the model of your computer, so I entered the model and paid the $100 for the charger. A full 3 days later I receive an email asking for the specific model number of my computer, because apparently I was not specific enough. However, I cannot view the actual model number because my computer is dead and I need a new charger, which is why I ordered it in the first place. I replied to the email with that information 2 business days ago (4 days including the weekend) and have still not got an update on my order. Very frustrated with this service and would not recommend.

Ordered and payed for a laptop Ac adapter. The inventory was wrong, the part was not available, they failed to process and ship the order inside the same day as claimed on the website. It took 17 days to process and refund my payment.

After having a shipping mix-up because their shipping form's google address autocomplete (Shopbot cart) chopped off the unit number of my street address. With Canada Post I can not specify it as Unit number I have gotten 3 non deliveries because of it. Basically I told them their form did it and they argued with me saying it was because my browsers auto-complete and it was not. So be VERY careful when using their shipping forms auto-complete it may truncate your address and cause non-delivery. What was extra annoying about all of this is it bounced because of no unit number and was sent back to them (about a 4-5 day trip back) before they sent another one, then they charged me shipping back ($10) and actually said they were doing me a favor by not charging me both ways. Anyway the adapter I ordered seemed to be as stated and is charging the laptop so that is a plus. Definitely not customer friendly.

I rarely write bad reviews because I feel that sometimes companies may have a bad day, and I understand. However, I have never been more frustrated with a company in my life. I ordered a laptop key board and when it arrived I tried installing it only to have multiple keys fall out. I tried reaching out to the company many times to see how I could remedy this issue and I received no response. I then tried calling multiple times, again with no response. In fact I have never been able to get a hold of anyone from this company ever. I then paid to have the keyboard returned thinking they would respond once they received it. However, I have yet to here anything from them. I am starting to believe that they went out of business, because that is the only logical explanation. Needless to say I would highly recommend not dealing with this company

Refuses to accept responsibility for their own ineptitude. Ordered a part on May 2nd, immediately after placing the order they claim that it is on back order and will ship in 10 business days. On business day 11, I e-mail them asking for status. No response for 5 days. 5 days later they finally email back, claiming they'll mail it out immediately. Turns out that they sent the parcel to the wrong side of the street, and can't deliver it. At this point, I'm done. Call UPS and have it sent back to the shipper and request a refund. Their support refuses a refund, instead demanding that I eat 50% of the cost of the purchase for their inability to keep a schedule. Even admits their inability to follow their schedule in the email back-and-forth, but then claims it's not their fault for breaking their own promises. Filed a charge-back instead. Oh, and don't bother phoning these bozos either. Their phone number goes to a canned recording 24/7 -- instructing you to email them. And sure, they'll email you back -- about 5 days later. EDIT Update -- These bozos decided to "grace" me with a refund that amounts to 44% of the order. Kind of contradicts their reply that they'd only bill for the shipping charges (listed as $8.99 on their site -- not the $29.17 they apparently feel they get to keep) for their debacle. Doesn't matter though, the chargeback will take the rest out of them in due course. Also, once again their reply indicates that they failed to follow their own timeline in actually sending the equipment. In essence, they're complaining that I made their delivery look at the wrong side of the street, when their delivery was 5 days late to begin with. Asinine.

Very unprofessional and very poor customer service!! I bought a keyboard from them, they sent me the wrong one. when I issued a claim via email because you can't contact them on the phone. they end up telling me, the keyboard that I ordered was actually cheaper from the one they sent me. They said that they will refund the difference and ship me the correct one. a moth and half later, still haven't received anything, I contacted them and they only returned $37 from $81 that I paid. They didNOT send me a new keyboard and claimed that they have to charge me restocking fees, and for the waybill return. I was very shocked with the poor service I got after they took my money and nobody wanted to contact me back to solve my issue. NEVER EVER EVER BUYING FROM LAPTOPSPARTS.CA AGAIN

awesome company. on two occasions, i have been told by memory express that my computer is too old to get replacement parts for (at 4 and then 5 years past purchase). well, i found a charger and charging port both for reasonable prices. both worked great. paid for express shipping the last time, and it was here in 2 days when i was quoted 1-3. 10/10 would recommend.

I ordered a replacement battery for a Dell Inspiron laptop that had begun to lose battery life. My machine refused to recognize the initial battery that I received from LaptopParts.ca, however a quick email to their support department and a replacement was on its way, along with a return shipping label. This is my first order from Laptopparts.ca. I ordered from them based on online reviews and I just received the replacement battery for my Dell laptop. Shipping was quick despite the fact that they were initially out of stock. The battery appears to be a genuine Dell part and was literally half the price of ordering from Dell. I also like the fact that they wanted the exact Dell model number for my laptop and my battery to ensure that they were sending me the correct part. I will recommend this vendor to my friends!

Ordered an Apple Magsafe power adapter (60 W charger) from Laptopparts.ca. It was advertised as a genuine Apple product and indeed it was. Many competitors often advertise this product as genuine but in fact they are clone (no apple logo on the charger) and it could potentially damage your computer. This company delivered on their promise with a genuine product. The product was delivered within a few days via regular mail. I would recommend this company anytime.

I'm glad I found this local Canadian shop for parts. Decided to order an OEM original Apple MacBook pro battery for my early 2011 laptop. my original battery had hot about 1200 cycles, so it was due for a replacement after 10 solid years of use. Made sure I provided all the right details on their ordering page, following their instructions. Decided to add some rubber feet for my MacBook as well as I had lost all four through the years. The battery and rubber/plastic feet arrived together in a small box, nicely packaged. It contained two little screw drivers as well for free! Which were very useful. My order came in a timely manner via UPS, which was delivered to the mail area in my apartment building. Luckily I live in a decent area otherwise the package might have been stolen. But that's a UPS issue, not a laptopparts issue. Overall, very happy to have found a place that even had the battery I needed. Looks like a genuine apple battery as well, exact spec!

Don't believe the negative reviews. I ordered a DC power cable for my MSI laptop, it came a few days late but it's COVID times so that's totally understandable. They sent an e-mail warning it would be late and it still came within 2 weeks, exactly as ordered.

I ordered a specific network card for my Chromebook. It arrived quickly, and when i opened it I notice it was not the one I ordered. I emailed them telling them the mistake and they said they knew they sent a different model because Acer said it was compatible (which it is not) and that they do not have the specific card I wanted, which is fine but they should of at least let me know when I purchased it or had it on their website. So i returned it the following day and it arrived to them a couple days later. For the last three weeks now, i've been going back and forth with them in order to try to get my money back, and they keep saying we will do it tomorrow, or the following business day etc. Very unprofessional. This was my first order from LaptopParts.ca. I had an older laptop with a lot of information and work on it and without a working power cord I was quite afraid that I had lost everything. I found them online and they had exactly the cord I needed and it was shipped to me incredibly quickly. Fantastic company! Great time for shipping and responding to questions. I bought a AC/DC Adaptor cable from them and it stopped worked about 3 weeks into owning it. Got everything resolved with a Extremely helpful individual Called Jacques Trottier, He at the least seems to want to be helpful and resolve issues, and not Quote chat logs and hide behind "Company Policy": Everything was resolved within 2 days.. to my utmost satisfaction! and as I have told Jacque as long as I am able to deal with Him solely and directly, I will do business with them again! Paid for Expedited Shipping to get it faster. (2 to 5 Days) After a day or 2 noticed that the Suite number was missing from the Shipping address so sent them an email. Everything was fine or so I thought ! After 8 Days finally got the shipment! Opened the box to find out that it was the wrong part!. right away I got on to there website and chat to find out how to get an exchange. They said they could send me a shipping label for the return, I had to place a SECOND or for the correct Part PAY for the SECOND correct part and when they receive the part back they would refund the original order MINUS the shipping cost for the return ! Which would be $14.99 even tho the shipping cost is only $9.99 ?? ODD what is the extra $5 for ?? I finally said That i would pay for the return shipping if they could ship out the replacement the same day and of course they Insisted that I had to pay for both the return shipping for the wrong part & the shipping for the replacement! so 3x the shipping.. I found that a bit unfair! Then they tried tried to throw the chat log at me stating that it was my fault & that they gave me the choose etc.. and since it wasn't their fault they didn't want to pay anything and were not doing anything to solve this unless I pay for everything! Btw: the power supply even tho it says was supposed to be new wasn't there was evidence that the Supply had been opened cleaned and then reassembled badly.. there are scratch marks from were it was opened etc.. After 15mins of discussion I was told "all this for $9.99" I responded "I know" then this "Service Dude we have already wasted 15 minutes on this Please let"s move on Thank You and Happy Holidays !" When I asked for a Phone number to called them I was Ignored.. then Service came and Said "Service Anyways, Sorry we have this to do.... Thanks Have a wonderful day and happy holidays !" When I asked and what about my power supply I was told to get it from somewhere Else! DO NOT BUY FROM THEM --- AVOID THEM LIKE THE PLAGUE!!

I ordered a part for my del xps 15 L1501x laptop (dc connector) from laptopparts.ca My order arrived well within their scheduled shipping estimates as per the confirmation email i received after I purchased the part. I must say that I tried calling several times to get an update on the shipping of the item, however i was never able to get through. Even left a voicemail. I went on the site one day and realized that there was a chat pop and so i tried it out. To my benefit, they responded very quickly to my chat messages. In no time, i had all the information i needed. Turns out they are PRETTY quick to reply to querries sent via their chat or email. Not so much via the phone. But for me, it was great to have my questions answered in live time (during their operating hours). Oh. and most important of all, the part arrived very well packaged and working ! Thank you very much laptopparts !! I hope i never have to, but when i need laptop parts, i know where to go. I should also mention that their prices are extremely competitive ! A+ experience ! You guys should probably find a way to note on your website that it is best to contact you via email or chat. that would take care of the majority of your previous "less than pleased" reviews. I ordered a replacement charger cable from this website in the middle of last month, for a friend's laptop. Apparently I didn't give the right model number for them to confirm whether or not the wire was the correct one for the laptop - but instead of contacting me to ask for more information, they simply withdrew the money from my bank account and sent me absolutely no emails, not even to confirm my order. I waited for 2 weeks, thinking that since there had been no questions, the wire was on its way. Eventually, when the delivery date came and went, and then I gave it a few more days, I contacted customer support. The customer support agent was very helpful and got the wire sent to me within a day, so that turned out fine. But I'm unhappy with the fact they simply took my money and didn't seem intent on actually carrying through until I waited longer than I had been told to wait AND had sought out answers myself.

Purchased a MacBook "magsafe" charger which was described as a "Genuine Apple Magsafe charger". Received today it's an obvious counterfeit. These are dangerous chargers. They can damage your laptop and cause a house fire! Laptopparts.ca should be ashamed of themselves. I will doing everything I can to get a refund. Laptopparts.ca returned my email apologetically. They claimed the charger was sent out in error as it was part of a sample from a different supplier and a warehouse employee sent those samples which were not for sale. They promptly sent out a replacement which as far as I can tell IS legitimate. No apple packaging but manufacturer, build quality, serial all seem to be genuine. The light on the connector is delayed as it should be. I may be willing to give this company another opportunity.

At first i thought hey a local laptop parts store. Great so I at first sent an email to them with the specific part number for a broken laptop screen. No response. Ok its only been one day so I gave them the benefit of the doubt. No response still. So i called them. The voicemail told us to email them. Sent them another email. No response. Its already been a week and nothing. No we will get back to you. Sorry but give us some time to look things up. Nothing. I'm glad I didn't wait for them. I called up laptopscreens (hq located in BC i believe) and they immediately picked up and answered all my questions. They really know their stuff. I asked about another upgraded screen and they recommended one to me right away. The upgraded one was also cheaper. At first i thought the delivery might take awhile because i thought their main headquarters are either the states or BC. But even better, they told me they had warehouses all over and they even have one in the same city as I am. So ordered and shipped using cheapest method. The price was good and it will now arrive in a couple of days. Way better than dealing with this unresponsive company. And btw. Two days till the new screen will arrive and on its way while there still has been no response from laptopparts. They just lost a potential customer. And one more thing. The owner says this is anclassic example of why email is their method of communication? Well i DID email them and i still havent gotten a response and its been a week. Lousy.

A couple of days ago I ordered through this site and not only did it only take about a day (with express shipping option) but it was cheaper than on the Lenovo site. I ended up buying the correct tools which was less than ideal given that they were supposed to be included. Bought a battery that was advertised as a "New Genuine" battery. I got it and I wasn't suprised because of the other reviews on this place. The battery was so swollen that it started to split open the sides of the battery. And it definetly wasn't new. Tried contacting them, no response. Instead of ignoring the bad reviews on this place like I did, just don't buy anything here, because you'll be out of 150$ with nothing to show for it. Pure Scam Imo. I'll change the review if they ever contact me. EDIT: they finally contacted me and sent me another battery to replace it. Customer service sucks, but I got my product. Which wasn't new BTW just ripped out of another laptop mostly carefully.

I am currently working through an issue with LaptopParts.ca I ordered an part that was in stock in the early morning hours of Dec. 26 (Boxing Day), and requested express shipping, 1-2 business days via UPS. It is now Dec 31st and the status has not been updated since the confirmation at the time of ordering. This is three business days plus Boxing Day (retailers are typically open?). This is problematic for multiple reasons:1) I am only in own for the holidays and leave Saturday 2) The laptop requires the part to function 3) I paid for express shipping to avoid this issue specifically 4) The given delivery window fit my needs so I did not shop elsewhere or contact local stores in the GTA 5) I paid extra money to ensure a shipping deadline, which will be missed. What is equally problematic is trying to contact customer service: The service number is essentially a voice recording, stating to use the live chat or contact via e-mail. Live chat via facebook auto messages you to e-mail. Twitter has been inactive for years. Every possible contact point is used to siphon you to using e-mail. There is literally no way to get in touch with someone when a problem arises. Update: Part arrived on Jan 3rd. This is my second order with LaptopParts.ca. and I would say generally things are good. The biggest issue is the inability to speak to anyone when there is an issue, the lack of a working phone number is a huge problem. Waiting to get an e-mail reply is a terrible way to do business. Also, the business is pretty much closed over the holidays and this isn't shared when ordering. It says if you order by 3pm it'll ship the next day, but truth is they're open only 3 or 4 days over the two weeks. Overall, the communication by seller is really poor.

Avoid this 'business' like the pandemic. Purchased a part through Best Buy Marketplace and instead of a big box retail store you get slightly worse service than the neighbouring pawn shop. The part ordered had been tampered with. Their excuse for customer service is that they open everything to verify. Bull! Trying to return the incorrect part in the already opened package costs you the original shipping, the return shipping (which is about double), and a restocking fee. By the time you get the 'refund' it will feel like being violated by a greedy retailer. Oh, wait! You have!

I bought a keyboard online for my dell inspiron 7559 and it shipped out quick, but the first one was defective and the second one broke within the next 6 months. Customer service was pretty good and quick to respond however by my limited experience the products they sell might be the same quality as cheaper made in china shops on eBay. In regards to keyboards if anyone is looking for a dell 7559 keyboard you can get a compatible one from some of the other inspiron 15 3000/5000 or 17 5000 series.

Dishonest seller and poor customer service. I ordered a Genuine Dell screen on their site, but received a cheap $30 screen. Now they try to convince me that I don't know and realize that Dell doesn't actually manufacture screens. Everyone knows this :) I know how original Dell screen looks like and it doesn't have red-yellow shade like yours one. And this "original Dell screen" had dust inside, and this not between protective film and the screen, it is inside of the screen! I have all the pictures and screenshots.

In the event that you are having difficulty with an item sourced through this company , note that it is possible to speak with a live representative if you call the number listed on their Facebook page. The number listed on their website goes to voicemail and asks that you send an email or a chat in order to provide the seller a record of your communications. *Fact* email and chat are useless in the event of a disagreement; 2 minutes on the phone and we were back in business.

Edit:I have been contacted by customer services and the delay in getting a response was due to them checking with their supplier and Dell to check on the compatibility issue. They are going to refund me the full amount of the battery and dorected me to the correct battery Worst service ever. Recently ordered a replacement battery from them. I made sure that my model number was listed as being compatible on their website. When I got the battery it fit but won't let my screen fully open because the battery sticks out too much. They were ok once but now they are horrible. I ordered parts off their website and got the confirmation email for the order. Waited for the delivery of the parts and forgot about it. Didn't bother checking because I never had problems with them in the past. Then I realized a few weeks later the parts never came. I contacted them and no response. I called them, emailed them, and finally they came back saying their website showed the wrong item count and they said they were getting the item. I waited then come the day they were supposed to have the item and no response. I emailed them and no response. I called them in the afternoon in the middle of work week and no one picked up. Apparently they only work when the unicorns are out. Three days later got an email saying they can't deliver so I asked for a refund. They said refund is being processed and it will take up to 4 business days. Guess what, 4 business days came around and still no refund. Since then they ignored my request for refund status. I filed a complaint with Paypal and Paypal had to forced the refund. Never again shop with them.

Turned out it seems to be a contacts issue on my laptop that weren't sitting properly (tabs that lock battery into place). Seems to be fine now.
