The screw holes were slightly larger than the original screws from my fan. So I had to drop super glue on each hole to dry, before being able to securely screw the fan to the original cover before installation. Other than that, it's working well!

The fan in my MacBook Pro from 2009 finally failed. No problem, go on Amazon and look for a replacement part. Simple, right? I ordered at least six different fans from six different vendors. They all had photos showing my fan, model numbers that matched my fan - the fans that arrived in the mail, were never my fan! I didn’t get the sales rep’s name that helped me, but they were very kind in indulging me in my insane email where I asked if they could please lay eyes on the actual fan that I was ordering, to ensure that it was, in fact, the correct fan. Praise the gods of the internet, I finally found an angel who could help! It was the correct fan; it sits inside my laptop as I type silently spinning. Thank you so much IT part store for helping me eke a little bit more life out of this old workhorse!

Power jack arrived and works perfectly so far. The jack itself didn't quite fit into the jack opening in my computer as it was just thicker than the one that came in my laptop. A few minutes with a knife and I was able to scrape enough of the plastic off to make it fit. The wire on the power jack was also a fair bit longer than stock, but I suspect this is to accommodate the 17 inch model of this laptop.

Asked a poorly thought out (very stupid) question with regards to shipping times via email, and subsequently got blocked by the company, which was unfortunate as I wanted to purchase a CPU cooling fan for my HP laptop and other places cost several times more and ship slower. Nonetheless, they offer extremely good prices, and if the prompt email response and the numerous other reviews would suggest, they are one of the best places in Canada to turn to with regards to computer and phone parts, assuming you don't mess up like I did.

Wish I knew about Canada Post dropping their shipping guarantees for Xpresspost before I ordered. I urgently needed a part delivered by the next day, but didn't receive it until a week had passed. Ended up paying a premium for regular postal service. Not too pleased about that. Might help to inform your customers ahead of time that this is the case currently. EDIT: Could have been my mistake. I didn't notice the banner message mentioning shipping delays when I ordered (assuming it was there... I checked an archived snapshot of this site from earlier this year and it wasn't present). Anyway, it's there now so future purchasers will be informed.

After looking at all the big online retailers,(and smaller ones), for an HP laptop fan, I came across ITPartstore website. They had the proper fan listed and it was about a third of the cost anywhere else, and more inline with what I felt a fan should cost. I took a chance and ordered the fan through their website. It arrived via Canada Poste within a couple of days. Well packaged, receipt included, and the proper part. I definitely recommend ITPartstore and would use them again

DO NOT BUY!! Purchased an ebay item from them, SPOTTEDUNICORN, shop owner threatens to give me a bad name online HAS alot bad reviews on ebay. They are Fraudulent, unreasonable and they bully buyers. All this happend because i asked if the part doesnt work, what is the refund policy? He became irate saying im trying to scam, they will report me to the authorities block and ban me from buying anything, will not refund me, and they have "my address" and "know who i am"....completely unreasonable people. Whoever Spottedunicorn is at thier shop needs to learn some manners and common decency.

Bought to replace the aging, noisy fan in my Acer laptop. A perfect fit, however one of the 3 screws holes wasn't drilled out. No problem... 2 were sufficient to hold it in place. It didn't come with any thermal paste but none was expected at the very reasonable price. Highly recommended!

Exactly the right fan type, the housing did not have the small tabs for the two little motherboard clips to attach to hold it in place while putting M/B back in, but not a problem to position without them. Great product.
