I appreciated their fair price diagnostics the first time I went there - the motherboard on my laptop had died. They told me they could swap the hard drive and ram my other laptop. But then they called me saying they couldn't do the ram - even though they had just opened it before and told me that they could. And they said I'd have to pay to buy an older ram as well as service charges. I'm okay paying the ram, but felt they were charging me service fees for a mistake they made. That part didn't seem ethical to me. I don't think it was the tech person, but his boss who suggested that. Left a bad taste in my mouth as a customer.

Good bunch of guys BUT no one is perfect. Mother had them identify a problem and when I picked up the computer I said it was a hardware issue. They disagreed. Next day the same thing happened to her computer I took it back to them and then they agreed. Cost her 150 bucks to have them diagnosis it wrong. Then I had them install a charge port great looking job but they out it on the wrong side of the mother board. They fixed that PDQ.

Left my computer there, the guy called me couple days later and we agreed on fixing it for 140$. When I went to pick it up they charged me 200$ + tx. I told them this isn’t a good way to do business. The girl at reception just kept repeating everything louder and louder, as if my hearing was the problem... The computer is fixed, but I felt like when you go to the mechanic for an oil change and you have to pay for a new engine you didn’t want.

My first visit to Combat Computers, I was sort of nervous after reading (2) Yelp! Reviews... the only 2 reviews on Yelp! but still went in anyway. Put together a gaming PC myself as a custom build, just didn't bother doing the cables / plug in for cables to PSU and Motherboard myself. Called and they said they could get it in, dropped it off - not only did they plug everything in but they re-checked all the connections etc and had to make minor adjustments. PC was done same day, in 2 hours roughly and on time. The level of service and attention to detail that the service tech Mitch provided was exceptional. Everyone was extremely friendly, knowledgeable and at the end of it - it felt good supporting a local business and it also felt good having full confidence in the service received. During a time that we are driving into a recession, if you do NEED to spend money on something that can be sourced / provided / done / completed / built / fixed whatever locally - support local, our local small business owners are there for us. Will be back to Combat Computers. 10/10 experience and our next build we'll source the parts from them.
