Best PC and Mac sales and service in Stratford. Excellent business services team too.
Good service
Apple sent us an email that our 2015 MacBook Pro had a battery recall. At the time, we were traveling from the Galapagos Islands to Bonaire, a little island off the coast of Venezuela. BEing far from an Apple store, we knew we were heading to Stratford and Apple said that The Compudoc is a certified Apple reseller. While in Bonaire, we gave them a call and they said that they could process the warranty recall. Upon arrival back to Canada, we dropped our MacBook off and just 4 days later, it was fixed as good as new! The staff, Eli, Brady & Jeff at The Compudoc are all very knowledgeable and helpful in processing our recalled equipment. We highly recommend these guys as they took care of us. Our MacBooks is part of our livelihood as we have a YouTube channel that we publish our travel & online business videos to each week. Thanks so much for your help! We're back up and running because of you guys!
Friendly service. They know their stuff
I can always count on Jeff and his team. Well done!
Amazing service and communication, would recommended for repair and build advice
There was a little white spot in my LED screen of my macbook pro; they ordered me a new screen, part came in 2 days, and installation only took 2 hours! It didn't cost me a thing since it was covered by my one year warranty! Super friendly of them and really fast service! Thanks a lot! :)
I've been a customer at the Compudoc for as long as they've been in Stratford and I love their products and really appreciate their knowledge and service. As a teacher I've really benefited from the advice Jeff and his staff have given me over the years. Thanks guys :)
Best in class service. Recommend them.
Fixed my computer in record time when I had a tight schedule! Very accommodating, fast, reliable and better than any other computer repair places in town!
Jeff is my go to for all my macs iPhones and apple products. They always go the distance to make sure they can get my stuff back up and running. Highly recommended!!
Really good service
Thank you Jeff for your outstanding service and advice, greatly appreciated!
I called Compudoc to see if they would be able to fix my iPhone. The employee told me that I have “touch disease” and that there was literally no way to fix it, and to just buy a new phone! I called three other places and they told me to bring it in. I’d suggest not using compudoc as apparently they are incompetent and just turn away customers.
Went to buy a printer for our iPad and I phone, only had one printer in the store and he wasn’t sure if it would work with our iPad or iPhones, when I asked how much it would cost he didn’t,t know and said it would take along time to figure if out. Guess they didn’tt want our business
My family and I had a terrible time when we ordered our new home computer. They charged us a ridiculously high price to save the old files from our dying Macintosh, files containing my family's not-backed-up decades of photos, and refused to transfer them over unless even larger payments were made. Furthermore, we were treated terribly; it wasn't until my mother was in tears on the phone begging for our computer that they finally stopped insulting her and agreed to sell us the new computer with all our files. Thankfully, we now have a great backup system in place from this experience, but I hope to god that no one has to deal with what we went through.
I had an outstanding customer experience with the Compudoc! I had two apple devices fail outside of warranty and Jeff's insight and experience far exceeded beyond an apple store experience. It's great having a local provider that I can trust in which I'm delighted to support. Thank you Compudoc team!
Bought a DVD player for my computer here. Great story, eh?
Thank you, Compudoc, for resuscitating my iMac – wish we'd brought it in a long time ago! Great service – straightforward, friendly and fast.
Had to have my 2007 iMac upgraded from 10.4 to Maverick. They did it well, and under their quote. Great service.
The owner knows lots and sold me a good adapter for my Macbook!
Good service
I'm really satisfied with customers services! And I got an awesome back to school deal! I recommend any student to check that out before it ends :)
Always awesome service from a helpful team who really knows their stuff. A must "go to" for everything Apple ????????
Excellent and friendly service from these guys. Brought them my hurt Mac Pro and they took great care of it!
This is a really great store
Great experience at The Compudoc. Very helpful and intelligent service. Very kind when we went in to get help moving from an old phone to a new one and needing all necessary information transferred. Definitely recommend to everyone for all situations, sales/repairs/insights.
Pretty terrible experience. The customer service guy assured me that no work would be done on my laptop without calling me and giving me a quote first. He also assured that I would have it back the same evening. Not only did he try and keep it overnight, he charged me $90 for an hour of labour and all they did was reset the computer. He was very condescending and he talked down to me when I was explaining the issue with the computer. All that and the computer was only maybe fixed, he wasn't even sure.
Very knowledgeable and helpful
Great service for Apple/MAC devices
Great service, little selection.
Bought my first Apple product in this store, a used 8 year old MacBook Pro, for $800. I did a layaway, I had like 10 different payments. I gave them money every time I had some. Christmas Eve my mom went in and paid off the remaining $100 and gave it to me Christmas day! Great surprise! It's an amazing computer for 8-9 years old! There's time where you can tell the age of it just because it's slow but with a quick restart, all is well! I've had it about 3 months and I just love it! Just recently purchased a iPhone 7 plus, because I love Apple so much! Will be back in for more purchases!
My week one new MacBook air was having problems and I bought to the Compudoc and I did even buy it there and they sent over a half an hour on fixing and it did even cost me anything. I that was kind and friendly service
Sales rep wanted to take my ipad out of a case to check the serial number. I told him not to, he did it regardless of what I said. Took me roughly five seconds to find ut without taking my case off. Sales rep claims to be apple train. Thanks for nothing, if I could score less I would.
Amazing place
Awesome knowledge on IT products. Great selection of Apple items.
Great experience at the Compudoc. I have purchased numerous items from Mr Walsh and his team. They are all very knowledgeable and have the answers I need. I have looked at prices for product and service at other stores, and they are in line with the industry standards. I trust the Compudoc with my computer needs!
Great place! Purchased an Imac and an ipad mini here, staff is always helpful, knowledgeable and friendly. They have all the accessories I want, and the service is quick! Before i went to apple products they sorted my HP laptop that was infested with viruses and got it running fast a clean again, and for less then some other shops in Stratford. All in all, don't hesitate to work with them!
I was very pleased with the service. Thank you for the professional service.
I brought in my laptop for repairs. Wouldn’t give me a quote when I came in, just called the next day. I booked directly from the apple site figuring it was an official apple store. No where does it mention there’s a diagnostic fee of nearly $70. & I’m covered under apple care. Neither did I agree for anything to get repaired. I just wanted a quote. I didn’t get an official receipt either for the transaction of a “diagnostic fee”. It also says no where on the apple website about this. Never coming back here.
I should have guessed when I walked in and the gentleman behind the counter was being rude to a senior couple that clearly needed help, that my experience would not be a good one. I booked an appointment a week ago for a shattered iPhone. I have apple care+ and I assumed they would have an iPhone XR in stock because the Apple Support App says I can pick it up today. I was told in the most arrogant fashion that I would be waiting over two weeks anywhere else I went, but that I could come back the next day to Stratford and they would have one ready for me. That’s great other then I drove 45 minutes to get there and would then have to book more time off work to have this issue resolved. Coming from a small town, I thought I would avoid London during the pandemic and get some good old fashioned small town service at Compudoc. Boy was I wrong, and disappointed. I very well could have made the trip back to have the phone swapped out on a weekend, but the rudeness and arrogance made me never want to step foot in this store again, and I won’t. Follow up to original post: called Apple when I got home and received a new device by 4 pm the next day. Shipped the old one back in the box provided, and was an extremely simple process.
Very patient and genuine. Honestly great service.
I got my MacBook a year ago and when I got it I messed some details up when setting it up. So I wiped the hard drive or something and took it to compudoc for them to fix. One problem I had was they took the MacBook, it was a fix that would take less then an hour and I wanted to see how they fixed it but I was fine with it as long as it got fixed properly. So I got call a couple hours later and it was all fixed ready for pick up. So I picked it up, after bringing it home I open it to see there is a password on it and the guy did not mention this at all so I called back saying theres a password on my device that wasn't there before. I then got the password no big deal. This did bring up some questions for me. I wanted my MacBook wiped, totally new to the set up screen. Why did they go on and set it up for me? This seems totally ridiculous to me. It is not compudocs MacBook so why did you set it up as it was yours? I set this aside and took the extra time to go through and try to change all the information. Then a month or so later I tried to download flash on my MacBook and it would not let me and still won't let me because it tells me it needs an administrators password and username to make any changes on the device. Its my device not compudocs so why did they set it up as theirs it literally blows my mind why or who would do this to another persons device. It makes me very mad and I haven't called the store back because when I called the first time for the first password the guy seemed unimpressed and I just don't want to call to be dealing with a miserable person when I am already frustrated about the situation to begin with. I do not know if this was just a simple miscommunication between the guy in the front and the person who fixed it or if this was intentional either way I will always have a negative feeling towards this store and will certainly never trust any of my other devices there.
Have grey selection for a small town
Took my iPhone XR in because I completely shattered the front and back of the phone and was unable to use the screen.. because I had apple care+ they were able to replace my phone in store in a timely manner.
Not happy with this service. Took iPhone X in for an "ongoing" issue and was told this was not the issue and had to pay! Compudoc told us to take it to Apple or call 1-800-myapple. Apple is who scheduled an appointment at compudoc. What a wasted day!
Jeff at Compudoc was extremely helpful and patient in answering all of my questions about our broken Ipad. After a couple of telephone calls, we purchased a new Ipad and keyboard and were very please with the excellent customer service!!!! Thank you.
We had a new wireless printer to install. We called Compudoc because of problems. Dillon responded with hard work and expertise to solve an internet problem. Dillon's professional approach to solving my problem is very much appreciated.
VERY poor customer service during my visit... My phone was not working (wouldn't turn on) and I tried to fix the issue through my laptop at home. Couldn't figure it out, so I took both my phone AND laptop to Compudoc looking for help. Was told very bluntly that if I had tried updating my phone from my laptop (which I had to no luck– got an error code) and it didn't work that there was "nothing they could do about it"... they didn't take a look at anything, didn't hook up my phone to a laptop and try it themselves...nothing. Went to the Apple store in Waterloo the next week and the very helpful Apple Specialist fixed my phone within the hour. The issue was not overly severe, he had just taken the time to try updating the phone from his laptop and lo and behold it worked! I came in to Compudoc as someone with little to no knowledge of technology (hence why I went to a certified Apple Specialist store), and the staff didn't even take the time to try to figure out how they could've helped. It was also DEAD in the store, so it wasn't like they were busy with other customers. Compudoc should take some customer service tips from a page in the Apple Waterloo's book. Will definitely be making the drive to another store from now on.
Very money hungry. Couldn't let me know that I could reset my phone using iTunes. Instead charge me $45 and give me no detailed bill. Would not recommend them at all Nice try on email address. Funny that a review is what it takes to get a proper bill.
I took my wife’s phone in to be repaired because it wasn’t charging. When it was picked up they blamed it on faulty charge cords and charged us $45.19. I ended up having to replace the charge port(the actual problem) to make it work again. I asked for a refund because I felt it was a misdiagnosis but they said the charge was a base fee. Save your time and go to an actual Apple store. Edit: I was not informed that I was goIng to be charged a minimum fee before I left the phone with you. That was brought to my wife’s attention when she picked up the phone. Regardless, I still feel like if you misdiagnose an issue and didn’t actually provide a service to your customer you should not take their money. But like I said I have had many good experiences at actual apple stores and would suggest skipping the middle man.
Put a new hard drive in a MacBook Air. Good price and great service. Would definitely recommend.
Professional, courteous and customer-focused describes the experiences I have had at Compudoc. Thank you Jeff and team for amazing service, focus and attention on your customers! Highly recommend a visit here if you are in the Stratford area!
Disappointing experience down to poor communication - make sure to ask for a full timeline of any repairs, and expected costs and delivery before travelling to Stratford. Once you've paid, you are in their hands! Very unlikely to visit this shop again
My macbook wasn’t working properly so I brought it in. They called me the day before I picked it up telling me it would be cheaper to buy a whole new $3000 macbook, like ok sure I have that much extra money to spend. I picked it up and there was a $90 diagnostic fee. Never did they tell me there was going to be a fee for just looking at it. Definitely a money scam! My experience with this place was terrible and it made me so upset. Never going again!
My wife had a Ipad that apparently wasn't able to get fixed. We charged it the night prior and it didn't turn on when she woke up. We were told it was unfixable and we can go through an apple replacement program that costs 700$ for a new iPad. Without being told that there was no refunds or order cancellations, she accepted the offer while thinking that she could make arrangements elsewhere for a new iPad. Long story short, we found one and attempted to cancel the order for the replacement. She was promptly denied any cancellations and refunds saying nonsense like "apple doesn't accept returns" when Apple's website clearly states that they do accept returns within 14 days for a full refund. Not only do they have refund policies (found on the bottom of the receipt that they failed to give us when we made our order) they right out said anything and everything to deny giving us a refund without doing any sort of background check. Thieves is what they are. edit/reply 1: a reply to compudoc, our issue wasnt a repair but the lack of repair. we didn't want a refund for an unfixable product but we wanted a refund for the product that was shipped as a replacement that we didn't get until tuesday. We called apple before we went to the store and once while AT your store. Both times we were told BY APPLE that a refund was possible. We were told to get the ipad tuesday from your store and we called apple that very day to ask what we can do. They said that there is nothing they can do now because the transaction was completed on your side. Even if we wanted to cancel through apple (which was approved by the representative we were on the phone with) they couldnt do anything about it because you guys refused to allow the refund and completed the transaction the moment the replacement product arrived. We wont even forget that you charged us 700$ up front for it and despite still having the original ipad you refused to cancel the order and shipped out the broken one without hesitation while fully understanding the situation. Not only could a product that has never beent touched by us be able to be returned, the transaction was forcefully completed to the point where even apple had no choice but to say "there is nothing we can do about it anymore". But you know what? lesson learned. 1. don't go to compudoc and 2. ask about refund policies before making large transactions.
Jeff at Compudoc has been amazing at handling all of my personal computer and phone issues for the last three years and will now be setting up and managing my IT needs going forward. I am a real techno-phone and Compudoc's team has never made me feel silly. They take care of your issues and suggest ways to do things more efficiently in the future!
Timely work done on our ipad. Excellent service and support from the staff.
Great friendly service!!!
I appreciate the offer of Compudoc. This is very professional and I will make arrangements with Compudoc to bring this computer in. In hindsight, this computer does not fill my needs and I will upgrade. Thank you to Compudoc for the offering.
I opened my MacBook Pro to find a spinning rainbow wheel that wouldn't let me do anything. I took it to Compudoc, where the owner told me it would likely be $500 minimum to replace the battery and repair. My computer is 8+ years old, and while it worked fine before the spinning wheel started, I had been thinking of getting a new (or at least newer) one, in the near future. I made the mistake of sharing this with the owner. He showed me some new and used Macbooks, I said I'd think about it, and he said he'd call me once he'd had a look at my spinning wheel problem. A few hours later he called and told me it was indeed going to be $540 to repair my computer. I said thanks, hung up, and considered my options. I had tight work deadlines and needed a computer. I returned to Compudoc, asked a few questions about a new Macbook, and bought it. When he rang me through he said they could transfer everything from my old computer to the new one, so that it would have all my files and look just like my old one upon startup. I said that sounds great and asked if there was a charge. $59.99. Ok, I thought, and paid for this and my new Macbook, after declining to buy a case for it as well. Then I asked what kind of shape my old computer would be in after they did the transfer. It'll be fried, he said, because they have to remove the hard drive. I suddenly got the feeling that I did not want my old computer transferred to the new one, and I am SO GLAD I felt this, and acted on it - despite him saying he would do it, and that I should do it, and that he always does it with his computers. He refunded the $59.99 charge, said he'd put my old computer in line to be put back together, and that he would call when it was ready. He didn't call. I went in before they closed and got my old MacBook Pro back from the young guy who was working. The owner had seemingly left for the day. When I opened my computer, it worked. No spinning wheel. No new battery. No $540 repair. It worked just fine. I now have two computers and would not recommend trusting Compudoc; taking advantage of people who are looking for your help and expertise is bad business.
These guys are awesome. Jeff really knows his stuff. Prices are fair, service is quick.
Excellent Service! Brought my computer in for an LCD screen repair and the service was amazing and I got my computer back right away!
Fast shopping as I knew what I wanted and staff were friendly and Covid safe
