I WiSH i could give this place Zero stars! First, I walked in and got stared up & down like I was in the 1960's American Deep South, until finally someone with an attitude decided to "help" me. After calling first to verify pricing (just 2 days ago), I drive all the way up here only to have them try to pull the old "bait & switch" on me. This very rude/condescending worker had the nerve to Argue with me about what THEY told me [*Twice already] over the phone...Horrible customer service!!!

Refresh Computer saved me in more ways than one! My Dell Precision T3500 workstation just died yesterday and I needed to get it back up and working fast. They diagnosed the problem (the motherboard) and were able to move my hard drives and memory into an identical machine and had it working again with new drivers in under an hour. They're set up to check out your machine on the spot, amazing. Even better, I paid a small fraction of what the original computer cost and it's actually working better now than it has in a while. What a delightful surprise! I couldn't believe it but these young men are honest and wonderful! Most computer places are kind of creepy but this was bright and felt like a big store. They diagnosed the "refurbished" laptop I bought my husband as having been ravished. The seller took important parts out and substituted with inexpensive parts that were not compatible. They were fast, articulate and very nice. The laptop is now better than ever and for a very fair price. I'm happy to recommend them highly!

Praise for Obay! I was told the motherboard on my laptop was bad so I purchased a new one and brought it in to Refresh Computers to install my old hard drive. Obay mentioned the problem could be a bad memory instead of the motherboard. He checked it and sure enough, he was right! He saved me $600! I promise to update this review if Refresh Computers can do a simple battery replacement on a laptop computer. I had called them a week ago to ask whether they replaced laptop batteries. They said they did. They charged me for the battery which they would order and someone would call me when the battery came in. I brought the computer in Thursday morning and was even asked if I wanted to wait for the installation. I told the technician to take his time and I would pick it up later. Never receiving a call that day, I called them Friday to learn that they didn’t have the correct battery. Since I need the computer for work (I am a physician and it has my EMR software on it) I was told that they would get the proper battery the next day (Saturday) and to call in the morning. Well....I just learned that the replacement battery they received today was also the wrong battery. They are finding a new supplier and the earliest the battery will be available will be Thursday. So now they will have to reassemble my laptop so it will run only when plugged in. I will not be able to take it from room to room. And I will bring it back on Thursday to see if they finally got the correct battery. Until then....1 star, and that is being generous. EDIT..... I promised an edit to this review once the repair was completed. Refresh Computers "rush" ordered the battery which arrived yesterday. I returned to drop off the computer and I picked it up this morning. It appears to run just fine with the new battery. The staff was apologetic about the runaround and the delays. It took 4 trips to finally have the repair done. I hope that this doesn't happen to any other customers just needing an internal battery replaced.

Reply to Owner Response: I agree that your service fees are fair and also that the service was great. I'm also aware that online prices can change. But, the same SSD priced locally at BestBuy is $100.99. That's still a markup of $70.00. Cheaper still if you throw in Amazon or Newegg. I appreciate your response. I would have liked to give a higher rating. The service at this location was fantastic. We were in and out under 2 hours. Our PC had crashed and was unable to boot. It was quickly diagnosed that our boot up SSD had failed. It was quickly replaced with a larger 1TB SSD (500GB to 960GB). The reason for the low review is the markup on the SSD sold. The price charged for the SSD was over $170, and after checking online, the SSD sells for $95. When I have something repaired and I'm told parts+labor, I expect to pay market price for the part, then the labor/time to fix/install the part.

As soon as I entered this outstanding business, I was immediately greeting by a helpful repairmen who was able to fix my laptop that had extreme damage from water. Not only was it fixed on the spot in a half hour but it was done correctly for a very reasonable price ($72). Thank you refresh! The worse service I have ever had anywhere. I witnessed one of the staff members being so unbelievably rude to a female client on the phone. After he got off the phone he bragged to his friend about how dumb the lady was and it was painfully obvious that he was treating her this way. I was shocked. I told him that I've never seen anyone be so rude to a client before and he said, "Thank you." He took it as a compliment that he was the rudest person I have ever seen.

I had to change out my hard drive and my laptop computer. I needed someone to download Windows 10 into my computer and retrieve the data off of the old hard drive. We were unable to retrieve anything off of the old hard drive. But we weren't expecting it to be able to be used. The young man that helped us was Andre Klass. He was very nice, he took the time with us that we needed. He was also able to help other customers at the same time. So he's really great at multitasking. All while being super nice. This is a great computer store to go to if you need a place. They are cheaper than a lot of the other computer stores on replacement parts and labor. These guys are in their five stars.

These guys are extremely helpful and nice. The customer service is amazing. I however went in with Windows Updating issues and left with no Microsoft office products on my computer. They were able to save my files/data. That is a super plus, but I ended up on the phone with MS for several hours and they were able to fix the updating problem. Yet, because the MS Office product was removed they were not able to recover those and I'd have to shell out over $100 for new a new license. The data save with the thumb drive was about $50 and I am thank full for that. Thank goodness it's Black Friday tomorrow. Again the customer service was good and these guys have great reviews but I don't think I'll return. ; o ( I left a message for them. Hopefully they will return my call and I can edit this review. I did receive a call back today and they gentleman on the phone was most helpful again. They excel at customer service for sure. I'm impressed. I still don't have a working laptop. I do think I have a better idea of the service these guys offer and I may actually drop in again to see if they have any product I would like. I am still not totally sold but they did do a good job in calling and following up so i feel compelled to change my review a little. Happy Holidays guys!

I highly recommend them; My first encounter was online through their website. They have a live chat; where I got my questions answered ahead TIME! If you're looking for a refurbished computer check them out! How I ended up coming to this store I ordered a computer online with another store and it showed that the computer was in stock online for pick up at Wal-Mart. HOWEVER it was out of stock and Wal-Mart cancelled my online pick up order and my money got tied up. Then I was not able to get my computer when I needed it. I also went online to see if I could have it shipped through Amazon and they didn't have any dates that would reach me in time therefore I did a "Google Search" and when I came across "Refresh Computer" website it looked really nice and they had a lot to select from plus the prices are GREAT TOO!!! The customer service was outstanding and I am so glad I made a decision to go online and do a search to find another store and I found "Refresh Computers" - Mention this review! I will keep you all post as I continue to use my refurbished HP with dual matching monitors! I am Super EXCITED!!! They have qualified SERVICE technicians onsite as well. Never Again! I purchased a computer from their online store August 20th, 2020 and I called a few minutes after verifying the order to see when I could pick up the computer and I was told it would be ready in 30 minutes. I went down near the 30 minute mark and they told me that they sold the computer. I was upset because it was for my daughters birthday. So they told me they would check their warehouse inventory the next morning and could let me know more what to expect about when they were going to get more in. I went in the next morning and told them what happened and they said these are the only ones we have (which I didn't want) and I dont know what they have coming. No one offered to find out anything from their supplier.So I asked for a refund and after it was complete I left and I will not return. That being said the guy that fixes them offsite is a nice guy and very knowledgeable but the people I dealt with inside were inconsiderate and ill mannered. So if you need a laptop I suggest either tigerdirect.com or newegg.com ive had much better luck there. My next contact will be the BBB.

Broken laptop now replaced with dual screen computer and the ability to link to the office when needed. Bought these at Refresh Computer in Longwood yesterday. I couldn't be more pleased. Speed is lightning quick because I updated it with a solid state and Wifi and they assembled computer with what I NEEDED right there in front of me; kind of like having a car built from scratch except at 2nd hand prices. The tech Charles, whom I would highly recomend at Refresh Computers, really impressed me, and worked with me to makes sure the computer would meet the requirements I needed... Instead of just showing me a system they wanted to sell. In the end entries system around $350.00. Built to order, the way it should be.

I went in with a old computer that I dug on in the garage I used to use I had no idea if it was even functional or what was wrong with it. My dad also had issues with his laptop which was resolved with a new hard drive. But the employee dusted out my pc re-plugged everything and it was up and running again. It wasn’t much work however they were very friendly and kind and charged nothing for basically cleaning out my dusty computer and got it up and running.

I came to Refresh the Saturday before back to school in the pandemic looking for TWO last minute laptops (you know, right when EVERYONE'S KID was starting digital learning??). I called the evening before and was told they had 2 rebuilds in stock so I showed up basically right after the store opened. I waited about an hour (to be expected, but also I think they were short staffed) and the entire time I stood in line the staff were all very busy, working hard, talking to people and answering questions. When it was finally my turn the guy was knowledgable and friendly. We left that day with two rebuilt computers that my teens are very happy with, even tho we waited until the last second to order them. I'm DEFINITELY not saying to stress these ppl at the last second like a toolbag like I did, I'm just saying they came through for me. TL;DR: long wait, great service, would still recommend ????

The greatest thing about Refresh Computers is that you can take your problem computer into them and they will do a free, while-you-wait, half-hour (even tough they say on their web site that it will only last 15-20 minutes) diagnosis. And you don;t need an appointment. And it is not an insincere, tepid, "sorry but we tried" effort. A highly trained tech goes all out during that time and if he's not making progress, he will ask another tech for help who has more expertise in the particular problem that your computer has. Afterwards you can make an informed decision on what ,step to take next. If you decide to use their repair services, they are high-quality and the most reasonable in town. Their most common non-hardware repairs run in the $50 to $99.99 range. If hardware is involved (hard drive, memory, motherboard, etc) their prices and labor are better than most anyone's as well. I have made four trips there with my older desktop and laptop over the last 2 years so I know.

I had been sitting on a malfunctioning computer for about a year, too anxious and technology-illiterate to have it looked at. When I finally decided to get professionals to give it a glance, I looked up Google for local-reviewed repair services. I discovered Refresh Computers and was pleased to see that it was highly-rated. I took my tower in and was greeted by Doug. I was pleased by his calm demeanor and patient personality. After an initial evaluation, a gentleman by the name of Gene took a look at my computer. He eventually learned that the graphics card had gone bad and needed to be replaced. I was offered an equivalent graphics card which was the cheapest option (I appreciated that they did not immediately attempt to upsell). Seeing as the entire process was less expensive than I had anticipated, and wanting to upgrade anyways, I asked for a higher graphics card to be installed. Gene did so swiftly and even engaged me in pleasant conversation. At the end of the transaction, I was surprised to learn that it was Gene's last day working at Refresh Computers. He was on his way out the door and nevertheless he aimed to give me the best customer service possible. While Gene may no longer be around, it's encouraging to know that a general spirit of high-quality customer service is enforced at this establishment. From my experience, I would highly-recommend.

Kyle was great and helped my wife sort through several laptops and explained the advantages of SSD over HDD, (solid state drives boot up nearly as fast as a tablets--good-bye Hard Disk Drives!) processor speeds, dual core vs quad core, Core i3, through i7, etc., and other concerns she had. We felt we didn't overspend and the fairly recent machine we bought has some nice features that should stave off obsolescence for a few years. Plus, we're recycling and getting more value, no bloatware and will purchase there again when it's time to replace the desktop. They were able to help me when Dell wouldn't. My laptop is just outside of warranty and started to have Wi-Fi issues. I called Dell technical support and they wouldn't help but recommended I look for a local shop. I checked google and found Refresh Computers. Took my laptop in and they were able to identify it was a hardware issue. Although they did not have a wireless card in-stock, they were able to take one from another laptop in the shop and get me working again. It is our experience that they are knowledgeable, honest and cheap. Their service is truly outstanding. Recently our PC (which we did not buy from them) sustained some damage from a lightning strike. They not only fixed everything while we waited, but when the technician noticed some dust, he first went outside to thoroughly blow out all the dust before addressing the problems. When all the work was performed, he tested everything again and they did not charge us anything for the labor, only for the parts installed. The computer now works noticeably better than even before the lightning damage.

Suddenly I'm told not worth fixing and tried selling me a refurbished computer which I found a bit pricey and mine was in better condition. seems like they didn't want to fix my screen so I just gave up. If i go and ask for a request and im paying for it, I would like for them to just do it and stop giving me the run-around. My husband and I felt like he didn't want to deal with fixing my screen ????... I'm a sales rep and personally when a customer walks in you are supposed to say ok this is an option but we can fix if still interested. No that was not even an option for me which got me giving up and going elsewhere. It's good to get opinions but when u tell them u don't want another computer that should tell you to just fix it.

I did an online purchase and picked up at the store. Very easy process. They have a 90 day warranty along with additional service plans. It is a refreshed laptop but in excellent condition. Booted up and worked well with no glitches. The store was very busy and had a great selection of products. What a lifesaver! I was immediately in line to be helped and eagerly assisted with fixing and updating my laptop. Doug had retrieved the folders from my broken hard drive to later be uploaded to a new computer. All connections were set up and registered. My printer had to be fixed and made ready to use with the new laptop. He saved me a lot of time and charged me a very low fee, in my opinion. Got a virus on my computer and I was shaking because I thought there was no hope. I called Refresh immediately and they said bring it up and we will check it out. They did and fixed it right there. I am not sure what I did to "catch" a virus. The computer is back to normal. I also had a laptop repaired at Refresh and it works beautifully. Place is great. People are nice and prices are good. Unfortunately ive taken in my computer on 3 different occassions with the same problem. Each time they had a different reason why it was happening. The first time they did seem to help alot but the problem still persisted. After that nothing helped. Im currently waiting once again to see if it can be fixed ( i originally came in for another reason but figured i'd give the old problem another go) if they manage to actually find out this time and fix it, i will have no problem giving another star. Edit: ive had my computer for a week now. Seems to be working. Adding another star for a job well done.

I kept getting a warning that my hard drive on my HP laptop was failing so I brought it in to Refresh Computers in Longwood. I dealt with Andre Klass who provided phenomenal service. They replaced the hard drive, put back Windows 10, and retrieved the programs and files that I needed. Most importantly, Andre went above and beyond to get back my lifetime McAfee anti-virus that had come with the laptop when I bought it. Now the computer actually works better than when I first bought it. I highly recommend Refresh and Andre if you are having computer problems.

Not only was the price paid for the refurbished unit more than fair, but the price paid for services rendered was lower than expected. And on top of all that, everybody in your store was especially helpful and pleasant to deal with! I think you should start a side business which teaches other commercial businesses what customer service is all about. I cannot think of any other place of business in the Orlando area that comes close to the personal attention and downright courtesy of the people in Refresh Computers. When it comes to retail, Refresh Computers is in the same class as Disney World is in the entertainment business...which is...First Rate! Kudos to all....and especially Andre Klass. Went to take my laptop to be upgraded before school begins. Not even a day goes by and my screen begins to flash this crazy static that I’ve never seen before. I called to explain my issue and I’m told it does that after being updated and that it should stop...I’m about a month in from when this has happened and the flashing of the screen is still present. My wife's computer was starting up sporadically and eventually stopped working altogether. I took it in on a Saturday just before noon. Diagnostics took about 20 minutes to find a faulty hard drive. I had lunch in the strip center across the street (a little mom and pop restaurant; very good brunch) and returned to pick up the computer and drive home. It was less expensive than expected and my wife is happy with the results (no easy task there). All in all, a great experience and I learned quite a bit in the process. The folks at Refresh were very nice (and patient) throughout.
