Wifi was failing sporadically at our cottages by the lake. Quantum recommended sending a tech out to evaluate. Tech Journey arrived on time, reviewed our situation and recommended the TP-Link Mesh system to serve the 3 buildings. Nate and Erin have raised the bar when in comes to computer support for the non-technical computer user in Door County. Everyone has become accustomed to the service that major companies like Amazon and FedEx deliver to their customers. Well, I can only say that Nate and his staff are right up there with the biggest and best service providers of them all. I brought my Windows 10 PC into Quantum, as a last resort to junking it, to see if it could be repaired. Well, much to my surprise, Nate jumped right into the mess, diagnosed the problem, gave me a reasonable quote to fix it, completed the backup and repair overnight and returned a virtually new, faster computer to me the next day. As a retired businessman, who had an Information Technology (IT) department to support all of my computer needs at work for my entire career, I have finally found my IT department, right here in Door County, to support my computer needs in retirement. Thank you, Nate. You are the best! UPDATE JUNE, 22, 2021 Fast forward from the above note to June 22, 2021 for an update on Nate, Erin and the Quantum staff here in beautiful Door County. Quantum continues to perform beyond my and other's expectations. Customer service is priority number one for the leadership and staff at Quantum. I will go to Nate and Erin first and that means before Amazon, Best Buy and their Geeky Squad and local technical support businesses. Erin and staff just installed a new desktop computer, wide screen monitor and transferred my files from an outdated laptop - without a glitch. And of course, the staff is always ready to remotely bail me out when I get in trouble. Nate as not only grown his business significantly from a few years ago, but he never let his growth interfere with customer service. Hats off to the leadership and staff at Quantum for a great job. I took my older mac pro (4 years) to Quantum PC in Sturgeon Bay WI after both the Mac store and Graphite in Madison WI told me it would be a minimum of at least 575 to fix things. Graphite tried to convince me my computer was toast and tried to convince me to just buy a new computer. Thankfully, someone recommended Quantum PC. For 100.00 my computer was cleaned up of all problems working perfectly. They also recommended i upgrade my hard drive which i also did so now i feel like I have a brand new machine. I contacted Quantam PC while traveling in Door County. My 15 year old MacBook Pro suddenly would not restart. I took it in on a late Thursday and got a call back first thing Monday morning. Their examination indicated a major problem with the logic and mother board. Due to its age it would be difficult to trepair as they would have to get used or secondary supplied parts and could not guarantee it would perform over time. I picked up the machine later that day and they only charged me $35.00, which I thought was more than fair.

We needed desktop with a small form factor, and Quantum quickly sent us all the options, and then built the perfect solution, and moved everything other. It was seamless. Everything where it should be, all the programs working--the most effortless new computer ever. This is the second computer Quantum has built for our home. The best thing is that when your machine does catch something or has a software/hardware difficulty (rarely), I drop it off and it is immediately fixed. Like I said, effortless.

So I had brought in my laptop I was selling. It was a Lenovo ideapad 330s (great laptop) that I wasn’t using anymore. Something messed up during the factory reset and this team helped sort it all out. When I brought in our 21" (18.75 x 10.50) all in one Lenova desktop for a new SSD, I forgot to remove my Logitech's tiny WiFi USB receiver. Since the back panel can pretty much only come off when all the USB receptacles/ports are empty. They invited me to bring in the mouse, but they could not find its receiver.

Had an issue with my PC making a grinding noise when first turned on each day. Took it to Quantum. They checked it over and found no problems. When I picked it up, the Techs asked me if I use a computer stand and I said yes and it has a fan. He asked if it plugs into my PC and, yes it does. Problem was with that fan making the noise and not my PC. Problem solved, thanks to Quantum personnel. Have used them for years and they've always delivered great service with outstanding personnel. The technician arrived at the house and after evaluating the existing system he provided me a couple of options for a new router. The tower was custom built in 2010, had served me well (for the most part) and I wasn't interested in another computer but contemplated a few upgrades. It had developed an almost annual issue where updates would be blocked and ultimately I couldn't get back online. Along with a thorough cleaning, Windows 10 updates, was that upgrade to WiFi and SSD to further improve performance. Any concerns or questions were readily addressed and answered. The new battery in my PC is fully charged and my PC is back to normal. Was sorry to lose a 750 GB hard drive (still unsure why it was diagnosed as "failing" since it hadn't shown any evidence of that) only to be replaced with a 240GB replacement. Took longer (5 days) than any of our previous repairs, and having a 6-month warranty on the new battery was also unexpected. Having a 9+ yr old PC did seem to present a challenge even to experienced PC repair personnel (lost all the files on the 750 GB hard drive, so a flash drive back-up was required).

Expensive and poor communication. They charge about 130 per hour for work. The average for computer repair is about 60/hr so they are a bit more than double that. Poor communication: they started changing my computer into a new case after I said no thank you and blamed it on my own error. Overall I had them replace my GPU (I got the part myself because it was under warranty) and they charged me $139.99 for switching it. I should've stopped when I got the free diagnosis because for $140 I could've done it myself.

They have taken precautions for COVID and they have respected that I would not want to enter and have contact with them, you leave the material in a box outside and that is how the picking is done. My computer had problems and I tried to reinstall the IOS without being able to solve it. I took them for a check-up and they solved the problem for me in 24 hours. Actually, I had no problem, rather they warned me that the problem was that the programs I was using were too powerful and for this reason my computer stopped working. They have not charged me anything, which shows their sincerity and professionalism. Thanks a lot!!!

We own an older Dell laptop with Windows Vista used solely for embroidering. It was slow and encumbered with problems. I simply would not work as intended. Quantum PC offered affordable solutions to upgrade the hard drive to solid state and configured the machine to accept the embroidery program. All done in a couple days!

When I came in to have my laptop fixed the lady began by trying to scare me because I choose to use Windows 7 as an operating system. She was loud and aggressive. Then they charged me 147 dollars to tell me that the laptop cannot be fixed and to extract files from the old hard drive, which is just plug in, walk away and unplug when it's done. And I supplied the external hard-drive. These are massive fees for what they did/didn't do. Too much money and strange staff.

I have a MacBook Pro 2011 that started to get very tired and was running slowly. I m very attached to this laptop and was not ready to move on to a new version, but the laptop kept getting slower and slower. I had trouble opening more than one application so I took it in to Apple to check the hard drive. I was told the hard drive was fine, but they thought the CPU was going. I had heard nothing but great things about Quantum from friends whose computer was repaired by them. As I planned to visit them in Sturgeon Bay, I brought the laptop in for a check. Quantum told me a check revealed the hardware was fine and they recommended an upgrade to a solid state drive which would speed everything up considerably. So I did. Although I had a bit of a problem opening Microsoft Suite after the upgrade, we spoke and working remotely all is again running like I bought it yesterday! I am really pleased to report that my old and tired laptop is behaving like it’s brand new… lightening fast and as I write this four different applications are open and the speed is amazing. I highly recommend Quantum as their artistry with IT is only matched by their wonderful customer service. Oh, and don’t let distance stand in the way of visiting them. I live in a suburb of Chicago and yet they worked with me, fixed my laptop in less than 24 hours, and serviced it remotely. Quantum is amazing!!!!!
