Lost my business. Was wanting to "shop local" for a change. Wanted pricing on an expensive video card. Travis tried to talk me out of buying from them. Then when he wouldn't bother to look up a single price hands me his card and ask me to email him for a quote. I emailed that night, and haven't heard from him since. Having worked at a place giving quotes I know to get them as quick as possible. I guess 3 business days isn't enough time for them or making a $1000+ isn't worth their time. Buying online now. I will never go in again.

I am currently writing this review from my Mac mini that I just picked up from My Tech Guys. Not only did they recover all of my data, install a new hard drive with 5 years warranty, and update my computer but they provided world class customer service in a super speedy and super professional and affordable manner. Will was very informative and kind and Cory was clearly intelligent and quick. They are My Tech Guys and they should be Your Tech Guys too.

I was surprised to have had such a poor experience here. Staff became defensive and rude when I asked a question about my laptop. Left without a clear understanding of what was wrong with my laptop. Wouldn’t recommend.

Fantastic in & out, no hassle experience - my favourite kind! My old Lenovo died and I needed a replacement fast. My requirements were business friendly power (I'm not a gamer), good quality and a brand I can trust. Went to FutureShop and London Drugs before My Tech Guys and got lost amongst the washing machines, TVs and everything else, not to mention barely being acknowledged by the mindless drones who work there. Arrived at MTG, greeted at the door, shown the goods, discussed options between PC & Mac, was offered an open box item they had used for volunteer work they do in the community (another big plus!). Walked out the door 20 minutes later with another Lenovo that was completely set up for a great price. Thank you! Shop locally people...support these people, they deserve your business.

Thought my laptop was broken.....booted up for them just fine thoe. They didn't charge me the whole minimum price of $60 but charged me $20. Not the most expensive mistake and I think that is fair.

True Story I don't want to be unnecessarily cruel, in case this was some kind of high school work experience thing (although the guy appeared way too old for that), but he literally lost screws to my laptop. When he seemed to have no idea what to do about it. I suggested maybe they had suitable screws in the back room, came out with a huge tub of random parts and said he was going for lunch and left. Definitely not returning.

Just had a big scam screen that said it was from Apple and it said that my computer would have horrible things done to it if I did not reply within 5 minutes. I knew that one day this would happen to me!! I almost immediately phoned MyTech and spoke to Frank. He was cool, calm and collected. He guided me through the various steps that had to be taken and a few minutes later the computer (iMac purchased from MT) was working correctly.

Great Service! We brought in Will Tanner to fix an issue we had with our business contract printer. It turned into a much bigger issue than we were expecting. Will was punctual, and left undaunted by all the little issues that popped up while he was troubleshooting for us. Not only did he successfully fix the problem, but he rescued our $800 printer from being tossed across our parking lot!

Very poor customer service. I inquired whether their services extended in providing a Live Streaming Broadcast for an upcoming memorial for my Father. Initially Bob responded favourably by email and that they could indeed assist me and would get back to me the next day following a staff meeting. It has now been 3 weeks, I have left multiple voice messages and emails asking for any sort of update or even a quote or if I should try elsewhere. Zero response. In the end I would have been happy with a simple “NO” so I could quit wasting time and take my business elsewhere.

They were super fast, communicated well, set and exceeded expectations. My Mac laptop battery was just about dead and 23 days left on Apple Care. They tested and confirmed on the spot. I explained how important it was to have this done as quickly as possible as I work online. The second the part came in they did the work and called me. Great experience. Also they saved my girlfriends Mac air from a direct coffee spill about a month ago. Double extra grateful!

My iphone was wiped during a storm while charging and updating, it was a possible power surge and Apple Support sent me to My Tech Guys. Having traveled from out of town for help I was impressed with their level of commitment to solving my problem the same day. After about 3 hours of "intensive care" my dead iphone was revived and restored from icloud. I appreciated the explanations that came with each step along the way and the extra help in updating my old iphone. I depend on my iphone for various aspects of my business as well as personal connections. Grateful!

Need a couple text messages put on a drive. Was very important and needed for my lawyer for the next day. Came by store at 10am and explained this the the elder gentleman who was very polite... he assured me we would put a rush on it because it was a 5 min job, and that it would most likely be done today or first thing the next morning and would only be 52.00. I called the store at 440pm 20 mnn before closing. And the service rep named Jay was rude and told me it would now take 3 to 5 business days. And if I wanted done they could do it now before closing for a 150.00. Not impressed. I run my own business and i don'tent tell customers one thing then do another. Very unprofessional

Frank was great to deal with. He was knowledgeable and helpful. I bought a refurbished Lenovo which so far works great. Has 2/3 of the features I wanted: Cd player and SD card insert. Frank helped me with my decision and offered me different options. I would recommend this place!

I took my computer in for a service as it was running slow. They asked me to bring in my external hard drive as well. While in their care, they erased the entire contents of my external hard drive - 1 Terrabite of all my precious photos from my travels. Not only would they not admit they did it, they would not even give me an apology. I was devastated they did this. I wrote to the store owner who did not even grace me with a reply. Absolutely terrible, Left my laptop there for 2 weeks to get drivers updated, came back to grab it went home and it was even worse, brought it back there and left it for a day, returned home and it was even worse. I brought it to island computers and they fixed it in 20 minutes, even gave me pizza for under half the price that my tech guys charged me. If you need. Anew computer, see these guys NOTtNOT big box stores! I wanted a new laptop and I knew what specs I wanted, but couldn't find the right one. I sent in an email request and they answered me so quickly! I ordered the laptop and they removed all the bloatware and free trials for me at no charge! They have always been my go-to but to me this just solidifies how amazing they are!

My laptop got stuck and unresponsive so I took it to My Tech Guys in Comox. The hard drive failed tests and was replaced. Luckily the technician was able to recover the data from the old drive. The laptop is now faster than ever before. Friendly and great service.

Just picked up my MacBook Pro which was in for an Apple Care spacebar replacement. It works like a dream and after four years of daily work on this thing, I had expected I would be spending a couple of hours cleaning up the rest of the keys from wayward dust, goop and whatever insects may have laid their eggs in the night. The owner has publicly bragged for years about ripping off the elderly at a rediculous markup as well as service cost, even toured the local schools to show his success. They're proud of their shady business and should not be. If you have the opportunity to go somewhere else with less "Branding" and "Fen Shui" just do it. Save your wallet it's all the same services and you're getting an underpaid college student that doesn't love his job doing it. This isn't even a personal attack on them or I'd bring up how the owner has done as Mayor.

They were very competitively priced, with better quality components and best of all, they recommended better parts that would suit my particular needs. Oh, and did i mention fast?
