Here you have the reviews of real people who are buying the services of Microworx (Computer Repair) near to the territory of Caraquet (Canada).
Right now the business receives a rating of 4.7 over 5 and that rating has been calculated on 127 reviews.
As you can read, its rating is nearly the top, and it is based on a very high number of feddbacks, so we may be quite sure that the rating is quite reliable. If many people have bothered to give their review when they've done well with the business, it works.
As you know, we do not usually bother to set feddbacks when these are correct and we usually do it only if we've had a problem or incidence...
This Computer Repair is included in the category of Computer repair service.
They're incredibly knowledgeable about all computers and as someone who isn't handy with tech repair I feel really good about bringing my stuff over to Microworx when necessary and buying my laptops from them.
I've brought my PC in multiple times for repairs and upgrades and the staff at Microworx is always very helpful and respectful.
Greeted sunnily and listened to carefully. Altogether a great service.
Good for buying small computer parts (cables, thermal paste). Bad for buying GPUs as they sell at scalper prices (3080 at $1100 and 3070 at $800).
Excellent service-- honest
I came in needing a new 650W power supply installed and it was 30 minutes before close, but the technician still said he could do it and got it back to me within 15 minutes. Perfect cable organization and labor was not too expensive. Also the guys are really nice and help explain the more complicated parts of a PC.
They did some work for me to get a new BIOS installed so that my motherboard could recognize my new processor. The work was done in a timely manner, and for a reasonable price. They even cleaned up my case a bit before returning it to me (it was quite dusty when I brought it in.) Couldn't ask for better service.
Very knowledgeable and easy to work with during the Covid virus.
Took my laptop there for repair, as it would not boot up. After having to contact them multiple times to check on status of obtaining the data off of the hard drive, making 3 trips to store I did get the data but, the laptop was returned to me in pieces, missing screws, and I never received a clear answer to what the problem was.
These guys are awesome. Extremely helpful, and personable. I had a great experience with them, and will now be using them for all of my computer needs. Thanks guys!.
Everyone’s really nice and their computer service is really good.
Good quantity of computer supplies.
My computer family for many great years!
Stopped in with a small issue with a desktop. Josh help me repair right in the show room. I was in there less than 10 minutes. Two thumbs up from me.
Very knowledgeable, flexible, and accommodating. Highly recommend!
Two different times over the course of a week they received calls wanting to buy a new system. And no call back for over a week after the first call. I have built MANY systems from thier business as well as bought many parts over the many years. I guess the little guy doesn't matter now that have gotten big. I'll take my business elsewhere.
My 2 year old grandson got his hands on my laptop for about 15 seconds, locked the whole thing. Unlocked for us at no charge, great service, friendly helpful folks.
Very helpful folks, and great customer support
It's always nice to buy local and this place has everything you need to build your own pc, also if you need some older ram they have an awesome collection of old ram for cheap.
I called with a very strange issue, initially they had no idea how to fix it, but within 20 minutes they found an answer and it worked. That's what I call good customer service.
$50 JUST for a diagnostic - thought the price was high because I'd get premium service, but I was very wrong. The guys at the shop tested ONE thing, and then told me my PC was broken. They then blamed me for bringing in an older PC as to why they couldnt fix my problem because the motherboard was too old to test with and they didnt have a similar motherboard. It's a little older, but that shouldnt be a problem. They also said my CPU is incompatible with my motherboard - I've been running my PC for 4 years just fine. They didnt even check if there were bent pins, they only said "possible bent pins". For those that dont know, to check if there are bent pins is only a quick magnfiying glass check away. I guess they were too busy to check. Very dissatisfied with their service.
I had a positive experience at Microworx! They responded with solutions to my problem more quickly than projected, and provided workable and low cost recommendations.
I called Apple re: a connectivity issue with iTunes and my iPhone, and spent hours on the phone, on three separate occasions, while two guys worked remotely and unsuccessfully on my computer to fix the issue. I spent a little over half an hour today with Blake at Microworx doing the same thing, and the connectivity issue is solved. Off to back up my iPad next. Thanks, Microworx! and Thanks, Blake.
Friendly. And they recycle at no cost to you
I have been using Microworx for the better part of 15 years, have built two systems for me and serviced them as needed with professionalism & in a timely manor.
Best people. Best products
Very great selection.
Microworx was terrific to me when I came in yesterday with a nonfunctioning laptop. They were kind, helpful & fast; I really appreciated them and definitely recommend!
When I need computer equipment, accessories or service, Microworx is the only place I go! Their ‘service after the sale’ philosophy keeps bringing me back. Whether I call in with a question, stop in with my laptop for a quick ‘look see’ or deliberate over replacement equipment, I can count on the owners and their knowledgeable staff members to provide patient, attentive service. Thanks a million Kay and team!
Awesome people, awesome customer service! ????????
Great service. Also they have lots of parts in stock!! Recommended to everyone. Find everything I was looking for.
We have used microworx for nearly 15 years. The customer service is great. The onsite service for my business saves downtime, and there is plenty of toys to choose from in their location. One thing thats stands out, is that several ot the workers there have been there for as long as I have been a customer. Great to see!
Why would anyone buy a computer from a big box store? WHY???? Microworx is so professional, courteous, savvy; My 3rd or fourth PC from them and it's the best EVER and exactly what I wanted.
Always great servicr
They did a beautiful job repairing my son's laptop after the battery had quite a spectacular failure. It looked good as new and worked great. I honestly thought the thing was toast, but now it's got a few more years of service.
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff!
I just upgraded my CPU in my gaming rig myself and my computer would not post, knew this company through family and called up the following day to schedule a service to have them look into it for me. I was not able to drop my computer off myself because I was working and had my SO drop it off and everything went very smoothly. Dave was very helpful and made the cross over very smooth and was very enthusiastic about the PC and assured her we were in good hands. Alex (the technician) was very thorough and explained everything to me step by step of any issues he found and took care of the problem with great turn around time. They took great care of my gaming PC and I got it back in better condition than I sent it in which is AWESOME (great cable management btw) Their store front is very clean and the amount of information they display is a plus, directly show their customers how much hardware costs plus install is a very nice touch. Would not trust anyone else with my gaming PC. THANKS!!
Jeff and his team at Microworx always take great care of all my computer needs when I have office failures or drop my laptop... again! They have been real life savers too many times to count!
Pro service department with a friendly and helpful sales staff
Really good price and they treat you very nice the only spot I will come to get my laptop repair recommended!!!
Their staff is very friendly and helpful. Good selection of computers and parts
Microworx is the best! Have been using them for service the last several years - they have helped me with a wide variety of issues, are user-friendly to me (a not-highly-techie baby boomer), prices are fair - I really rust whatever they say and do. Next time I have to buy a system I will use them too.
Genuine, detailed, incredibly attentive, generous service! I have my own business, and the right support is everything. I'm feeling very relieved to have discovered Microworx.
I went into Microworx seeking parts to upgrade my computer. The service guy, Jake took an extended period of time explaining all of my options so that I could make an informed choice. I have been buying computers and parts from Microworx since the days of the Done Arena Computer Show and Sale in the late 90's and I have always received the same great level of customer service.
We purchased two custom made computers from here, and have been happy with our purchase. Good service and competitive prices.
Staff is very friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable of their products. Highly recommend and will go back if needed.
Experienced PC builder here. Microworx fixed a new build within the hour of me bringing it in. Super fast. Super friendly. Price for labor was reasonable. Better selection of parts than most other stores. Best PC repair shop experience I have ever had.
Experience there was bad! I went there 3 times for my computer, got charged $150. Every time they give me a new explanation (because if the problem is different than last time, I can not use the 30 day-warranty), one time they said the problem is due to the driver, next time, even I scanned my computer TIMES, and they still say the problem is due to virus. I am thinking maybe they only be able to fix some "easy problem." Clearly, people who give it 5 stars don't know computer very well. All their problem can be fixed by themselves if they go to YouTube. Anyhow, I got charged every time, and my computer is still not working.
Dealt with a small hardware issue free of charge, as it only took them a few seconds to fix. Really great staff that's very friendly. Helpful place for people that know nothing about computers to those that have some knowledge but just need some extra help.
Just got my Alienware computer back and they did a great job. Didn’t cost too much for the parts and work. Great prices! A little fanatical over exact mask placement, but great works trumps the customer having to be right lol To the people complaining about how long it takes to get parts ... that is not their fault. Blame the shipping companies and COVID. America doesn’t have many parts currently because of COVID, so everything has to come from China. Takes a long while current. Be patient, they’ll do great work for ya. Go to another company and possibly get screwed over. ????????????
It was like a pit stop, a sluggish computer needed some new tires and a clean windshield. I was in and out at a reasonable cost with no time lost in the rat race...
Worked here before. There absolutely amazing compared to most computer stores in the area. I'm not only saying that because I've worked here but truly comparing to other local and major stores in the area they have CPU's, PSU's, Motherboards Etc. that most stores just don't, usually they require to be shipped to your house. The prices are OK, it's a business completely understand. Regardless would still shop there and would totally recommend this place. Working here as well was a wonderful experience and would hope that anyone in the future working there enjoys it! By the way, the review below featuring 'Dave Fave' is very invalid. If you go inside the store you are greeted with two sales men (Traub & Paul) incredible and knowledgeable young men. The two owner's are incredibly nice and will go out of your way to make sure your ends are meet. The technician's are very nice and are actually really funny. Overall, this store is a great place. Did I mention they build computers to your needs? and budget? I would totally recommend this computer store without a doubt. As for someone like me who builds computers and buys parts regularly I still would stop by Microworx to support a local computer store. I hope everyone that has a chance stops by and gets blown away with the satisfaction.
Went here to have my computer cleaned out and it still ran slow. Felt it was a waste of money
Jeff and his team at MicroWorx took the time to really figure out what I needed in a laptop and provide me with the best possible solution at an extremely competitive price. I will definitely be going back.
Knowledgeable staff, nice selection on hand and can get customized configurations
Staff was super friendly, called me and told me what was wrong with my computer, and told me the different options I could go for with data recovery and repairs. Would definitely recommend!
I had them build me a great graphics and gaming PC back in 2014. Ive only needed support 3 times. And twice it was fixable over the phone. We are getting ready for our next build, and are coming back. Can't say that about other experiences when purchasing computers at big retailers. Be technical, or try your best to tell them here at Microworx what you need or want it to do. Great customer service is hard to find in a single focus shopping experience before and after. I TRUST them. They have it.
Honest service. Highly trained staff. Limited products in store but they will order some things for you. Their technical support staff can't be beat.
They build a powerful, very competitively priced system earlier in the year and I am very pleased. Today I needed to replace a USB Hub and they had just what I needed, very convenient.
From building custom or purpose built computers to supporting and repairing products that are current or legacy, these guys do everything and they are fantastic! They do inside and outside service for businesses and home customers, and they are absolutely outstanding, especially with their customer service!
Brought my gaming PC here after it wouldn't boot up. Had a one day turn around with fantastic service as well as very fair pricing. I would highly recommend this place for anyone with any computer issue. Love these guys I'm never bringing my PC anywhere else for service
A zero pressure place to buy a computer! I had no idea what I needed but I knew what I planned to use the computer for. Traub showed me some options and was able to answer every question I had. He even looked up what I needed to do to get the computer working with my AT&T wireless account. He then left me alone to play with the various options. I'm very pleased with my purchase and the relaxed atmosphere at Microworx.
Super great customer service. Will not hesitate to come here if I have any questions about my PC.
Custom computer made on budget and they have saved me countless times with their great service. Love the whole team at the store great to talk with and setup a computer for my grandparents so they were comfortable with using the computer. I only go to microworx, and refer all my friends.
Best place to shop computers, servers, laptops, and parts in our area. Service puts Best Buy to shame.
Great place ... Talented staff ....
Repair estimation was timely, decided to buy nee
I've had two problems with my laptop, one of which was bizarre, and they fixed it up like new. Great place.
Great owners, staff, and products
The staff here shows a real commitment to fixing computer issues. Very friendly and professional!
Always helpful staff and a good selection of computers .
We have worked with Microworx for years and they have always provided prompt, professional service at a fair price.
A great local spot in Rochester to go for computer parts and service. Microworx has prices on par with the best online stores so no need to wait when you need something. The owners are around to help and everyone who works there is very friendly and knowledgable. I am very happy I found the shop. Thanks for the help today David, you guys are the best!
I have made phone calls and have stopped by Microworxs with computer issues. Staff is friendly, knowledgable and helpful. I also bought a printer here.
They did nice work in a reasonable time frame and at a reasonable cost. And they didnt try to up-sale me for something I didnt need for a repair i brought it. Because of that, when i need a new machine, i'll go to them instead of Best Buy, etc.
This store does it all, with fantastic services to back up their sales department.
Walked in to buy a cpu cooler a week ago. Besides the fact that it cost literally twenty dollars more than online, I waited for someone to check me out for ten minutes during which time I heard an employee flat out lying to a customer to sell a license for Webroot Antivirus which the customer absolutely didn’t need. Giving false information to a customer about Windows Defender. When someone finally came to ring me out, I set the cooler down on the counter and took my wallet out and this lady just literally stared at me for thirty seconds. Finally, I said “isn’t this a store? I’d like to buy this” she responded with “Sorry, I didn’t see you.” I don’t mind paying a mark up to buy local but this mark up is ridiculous especially if this is the kind of service you’re going to receive. I had a few other things to purchase but after that experience, nah no thanks.
I took my laptop in with a broken display and asked to have it looked at. I went in to get a diagnostic, and was told to bring it in a few days later, because the laptop was still working internally, and it would be looked at. After bringing it in on the day I was told, I had to bug the store to tell me when it could be picked up. The repair man told me my motherboard was basically worthless and it wasn’t worth putting more money or time into it. They couldn’t replace my broken display, and then said that it wasn’t working with the new display. THEN they said they couldn’t get my old screen back in, and gave me back my laptop in 2 pieces??? Now there are dents on parts of the computer that it wasn’t even dropped on, and the mousepad is crooked. The dents could be causing more damage to the internals that could long term severely damage my computer. I got my laptop back in more pieces that I brought it in, and in far worse condition. Horrified with my experience and can say there was only one employee that seemed like they really cared about me getting my laptop fixed, and they weren’t even a part of my laptop being fixed they were observing from the desk. Taking it to a higher rated repair store, I was told they incorrectly removed parts, potentially causing more damage to it. I was also told their diagnostic was not thorough with the results I was given, and should have told me more than “the mother board is broken.” Worst part is I was forced to pay for a diagnostic fee that they seemed horribly uncertain about, and in now finding out from a REAL shop that it was a terribly vague diagnostic. Will never bring my electronics here again and will never recommend to a friend. EVER
Always great service and great people and great product
Jeff and Kay are the best
Had them upgrade my gaming PC with parts I had purchased online. I spent about 1100$ on various parts and had them install it. Everything works ok.
Reliable place to fix a laptop. Service was friendly.
I have had the worst experience with Microworx. I had given them my laptop because it was not charging. For starters, they said that they would call me in 24 hours but received no call from them and I had to call them. After talking to them they say we have run the diagnostics (which costs $45 ) and COULD'NT come to a conclusion to what the problem was. They say it MIGHT be the battery which we will have to replace and check. If that doesn't work then we will have to replace something else. So then I ask them if you are not sure how is that "DIAGNOSTICS" they reply by saying sorry you will have to pay the $45 any which way. A battery which costs $40 - $50 outside they said it would cost $90 plus and an additional charge of $110 for labor. I ask them your hourly rates are $70 or something and $110 is if you go outside and fix the laptop, their response was it will take more than an hour to connect the Battery(on youtube there is a 8 minute video on how to replace the battery for my laptop). I felt there is something fishy and went there to collect my laptop thinking I should probably take a second opinion. When the laptop was returned to me I realized they had removed the battery and kept it aside and I asked the salesman where is the battery. He said sorry it might be kept outside and our technician will come back tomorrow and fix it. So i go back there the next day again to collect the Laptop and now the battery is fixed. I had to pay the diagnostics fee and their report say my battery is faulty and when the battery is removed no error message pops up. I argued with them saying yesterday you told me my battery was removed and I still saw the error message and today when the battery is connected back it still displays the error message then how can you claim the battery is faulty. So then the technician says it maybe some issue with the motherboard etc etc etc. I was really disappointed and took my laptop from there (ofcourse after having paid the "Diagnostics fee"). I go to FIX IN A ZIP at marketplace. I must say their service was amazing. They looked at my laptop and said it is the charging port that has an issue cause a laptop that is just an year old will not really have battery issues. They said it would cost $10 to replace the charging port and an additional charge of $99 for their labor. I am typing this review from my the same laptop after it has been fixed for $105 whereas Microworx were charging my $235 for replacing the battery and no guarantees that it will work after that. The Fix and Zip people have given me a warranty for the charging port for a year and plus a discount of 10% since its my first order. I request all of you to please avoid Microworx, they are trying to loot customers since they know we are not very knowledgeable. I strongly recommend "FIX AND ZIP". Also I think Microworx has a tie up with Best Buy cause I know a couple of people who have been recommended to Microworx from Best buy. Please don't fall for it and waste your money, I got my laptop fixed for less than half of the price that was quoted by Microworx. If you value your money please avoid the place.
Simply the best. Very accommodating, professional, knowledgeable and know how to fix things. I've been using them for 27 years to build multiple computers, sell me appropriate accessories and fix things microsoft updates ruined, along with virus removal. No need to go anywhere else
Very helpful and responsive to calls and inquiries regarding products. Picked up a new GPU recently and had a great experience in store
I have gone here for years. They do great work and they are the nicest people! Their knowledge and expertise are impressive.
I love Mixroworx. The employees are friendly and very honest, which I feel is difficult to find when purchasing electronics. I've also gone here for repairs for my phone and memory card. They warranty their own work and they do a quality job as well!
Staff was cheerful, laid out all the options for recovery of my laptop, and it was repaired promptly without any difficulties.
Quick but expensive diagnosis done.
Very helpful
Always an great experience here... friendly and knowledgeable staff will point you in the right direction and wont pressure you just to make a sale or buy any thing you dont need.
Awesome store. It's like a microcenter but smaller. I had no idea it existed before. The guy showed me the rig with 4 GTX 1080s in the back and I was amazed. Great service here the guy is really nice and they had everything I needed.
They have a wide variety of items.
I continue to buy computers from Microwork--mainly high-end, gaming/workstations. They have been outstanding in answering questions and quick turn around.
I buy all my computer needs here. Local sales and local support is critical to me.
My laptop got damaged just a few months ago. I was short on budget so I can't buy a new device. For this reason, I searched for services that can repair it at a very fair price. Luckily enough, I have found out about Microworx. They definitely did an amazing job on repairing my laptop and making it work as good as new.
Jeff helped me out on a last minute hardware need. He went out of his way to help me out. This was my first ever purchase. His store is extremely clean and organized. Would absolutely recommend!!
Friendly staff and quality product. Good prices too.
Best Buy said my Lenovo Y-50 laptop needed a new motherboard and dc jack and wanted $570 to do the work. Took it to Microworx instead where they determined that it only needed a new dc jack (not a $300 motherboard like Best Buy said) and charged me $160 parts and labor for the repair. Conclusion - go to Microworx not Best Buy unless you prefer overpaying for unnecessary repairs to your computer.
This group is amazing!! I've had a lot of different computer issues over the years, including a hard drive crash. They have always solved every problem and can explain what's going on in a language the ordinary person can understand. The prices are great too! I'd never buy another computer from anyone other than them. For about the same price, you can get a computer built to your specifications. So why order one online and have to try to figure it out yourself? Definitely recommend 100%!
Huh???? Brought in our iPad that wasn't charging. We told them that we had used several power cords and couldn't get a charge. A rather surly woman asked us to go get one of the cords so they could check it out. We returned with a cord and she then told us they don't repair iPads because they do not have a tech who could do that. Why didn't she tell us that up front after she made us leave the store and then come bacK? Poor attitude and service. Used to be our go to place but no more.
Best computer service in town
As all all the other review's say "THE BEST" My hard drive started to fail took it to Microworx it was back in 2 days they were able ghost everything to a new drive even bought a new better quality back up drive that the old Iomega I had. GREAT COMMUNICATION, GREAT SERVICE, GREAT PRICING, HIGHLY RECOMMENDED !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Visited Microworx to try to fix my broken laptop. Dave gave me 30 minutes of his time, offered a number of solutions, and was extremely helpful and knowledgable.
I have been a customer of Microworx since they opened back in the 90's, and have always received excellent service. It doesn't matter if I needed a part or a complete computer or just some advice, I am happy when I leave.
Great service, helped me out above and beyond when another computer place butchered my pc
Microworx got my system back in working order in no time! I'm a college student here in the Rochester area and when I got a viral infection, I didn't know where to turn. I had a paper due and I couldn't work because of slow performance and constant pop ups locking me out of the Desktop. The price of the $79 Makeover is the best value around for a malware cleanup and full overhaul and tune up! I know of other local companies claim they have lower specials, but that try to gauge for every additional User Account and for services which Microworx includes in the base price! They even gave me the option of rush service via their very reasonable "Expedite" fee of $50. The total still came to less than some of the competition including this Expedite fee! Even more if you do have a mysterious issue, they apply their Diagnostic fee toward the cost of the repair, unlike most other shops who charge for both individually! Definitely my new favorite computer repair shop!
I have been going to Microworx for years. I have purchased laptops from them and go there periodically for maintenance and service and I have always been very pleased with the service that they provide. Keep up the great work Microworx!!!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Very willing to share information.
Wonderful fast service at a very fair price. We have purchased 1 computer from them and they have done an upgrade and service on a second computer in the home.
These guys are awesome, I come to get a quick quote from them in store and next thing you know I’m standing there For a hour with the guys and they are showing me all the new cool stuff like a monitor in the side of a pc case. Love these guys and they will get all my computer work. Thanks guys for being the best.
Jeff and his team over at Microworx have helped me through numerous issues with my previous laptop and just today Jeff personally walked me through a quick repair for Outlook on my Surface Pro 6. They are personable and do excellent work. I cannot recommend them enough!
Microworx has been my favorite computer store since they opened years ago. Just now their very kind staff solved a laptop problem that had put me into a full-on meltdown! They fixed it on the spot, because they are generous and caring people, in addition to knowing all there is to know about technology! I will always be their customer, and recommend them to all!
There is some serious expertise afoot and not only were they good but really patient and capable of and willing to explain‼️????
Once again this user-friendly organization got me out of an apparent jam. Kudos to Dave, Dan and the entire crew for their patience and persistence
Fast, friendly, prices for personal computer repair seem pretty reasonable
This place is wonderful. The staff is very friendly and helpful. I came in their with a dieing external hard drive, and they were able to get the data off and put on the other external hard drive that I bought from them in just 2 days. I definitely recommend this place.
I went back and Jeff was fair
I just had some issue with the internet connection of my Alienware, and they were so patient and helped me quickly fixed my problem!!!
Staff was very kind, informative, and willing to help. I came to Microworx, because my Dell Inspiron (touch screen) was cracked. Although I decided not to buy a replacement screen, because the price of it would have been just about half of what the laptop was worth (it's very difficult to find replacement screens for my laptop), they were still helpful and gave me lots of options for what I could do moving forward.
Been with them since they were located by Highland Hospital. Ex knowledge & great care.
So If you run a small business and seriously depend on your computer and then you decide to upgrade that computer - Don't take Zanex Just give microworx a call they know what you need - simply the best
Microworx saved my phone and all my data. They were very professional and did a fantastic job. It's great having Microworx as a local resource.
I have known Jeff the owner for decades. He does an incredible business..
Awesome staff, fixed so fast
They replaced my digitizer on my Asus PC and was able to get a new one from a seller that sold original ASUS parts. Had to wait for the part but after that it was quick service. People are friendly and knowledgeable. Safe environment during COVID-19 by always wiping down equipment with disinfectant wipes and keeping the customer service area clean. During the COVID-19, they still worked on computers as customers had to go to the back of the building to drop off equipment and the CEO was there to write up orders and gives estimates. Top notch service. I’ll be calling them Monday for a quote to update my Mac’s graphic card.
I had a great experience at Microworx. After spilling coffee on my laptop, I took it over to them fearing the worst. Dan did an amazing job fixing it as well as walking me through everything along the way. It's working even better than before! Dropped it off on Friday and had it back by Monday. Definitely would recommend them for computer repair.
My family has always trusted this business for computer service. What is different about Microworx is Honesty. I've never felt pushed or prodded in any direction, but have always been offered earnest, genuine advice, with efficient and pleasant service
I couldn’t afford the prices but Marlene is so patient with me when I was trying to find the words to describe my problem! I never had a laptop fixed before so it was hard to explain! Very informative! If I ever had to have something fix, I’d call them.
The best place in Rochester for down to earth helpful and friendly support. If you want to find someone who cares about your problems, takes the time to listen, understand and help. This is where to go. Latest and greatest products. Amazing prices. A lot of experience. Best computer store in Rochester
Very patient & helpful!!!
This is a great place to buy computers, have your computer fixed, and ask questions. I enjoy doing business here and I trust their opinions.
Overall, I would recommend them. They are knowledgeable and their products priced fairly. Perhaps, you might save a few dollars with Amazon, but I believe in supporting local businesses when possible. In my experience, they provide a reasonable guarantee of their work. I find almost all the staff friendly and patient. They custom made my desktop computer and I have been happy with it. They also will recycle your electronics for no fee.
The go to place to get your computer right. I had Microworx build me a new computer and I was very pleased with what I had built and price.
Excellent customer service and products
Very friendly helpful staff.
Worked worth them before and they are always very helpful. Had an emergency and they provided expedited service (for a fee) and got me going again.
Microworx is our go to for anything technology related. As a business and private consumer they have knowledge that is not matched in Rochester, they are fair, and more importantly honest. Do not hesitate, you will not be disappointed.
Always liked going there when needing computers or other things such as cables or the usb to serial cable I bought today. People are very helpful
Have been using them for 10 years! Won't go anywhere else! Thank you for saving me too many times to count
Very knowledgeable and solid me exactly what I need.
Great competent service for all of your computing needs.
To busy to check on parts....
Great service. They had exactly what I needed and could answer all my questions. Also very friendly.
This business is great. I was having trouble with my desktop and called to have the unit inspected. Traub recognized the issue right away and explained the problem to me. They could have easily taken the PC overnight and charged me, but they are just not that kind of company. Their honesty and personal touch is something you will not find with big box stores. Highly recommend Microworx for any IT need in Rochester.
They know what they're doing and are willing to help.
Have received great assistance and service for 10 years. Especially grateful to Tom for recently going beyond expectations to arrive at a solution for my computer needs.
Used them 3 times! Quick service and great communication!
Excellent service
Incredible customer service. Their patience while diagnosing my desktop's incompatibility in components was far beyond the call of duty. Cannot say enough how great my experience ended up being despite complications!
Excellent price and service.
Good place for computer repair, parts, or a custom build. Staff is knowledgable, and prices are fair.
Nice job with the computer, Blake and Traub!! It is humming along just fine - better than it has ever worked before. I very much appreciate the new cabinet as well. Best wishes and thanks!
Great service and great people Thank you again!
Staff very friendly, make communication easy, provide helpful explanations to those of us with limited computer "ability. Recommend highly!
I cannot believe the bad experience I had with them. I will not go there again. It started last Wednesday when I brought my HP laptop to get serviced for a message I received about my battery not recharging. The Windows message was “plugged in, not charging”. My laptop was switching by itself from A/C power to battery and back again, by itself. They called me later in the day to tell me that my motherboard needed to be replaced. I told them to go ahead and order it, hoping for a speedy turnaround, and agreed to pay an extra $50 for “expedited service”. We’ll get to that part later. I called on Friday and they said it arrived and to wait to hear from them. I expected to hear later on Friday about the repair being finished. When I didn’t hear I called on Saturday. They complained that they were down a staffer or two due to sickness and it would be complete early in the week. Monday went by without hearing a thing from them. On Tuesday I called in the morning and begged to get my laptop back as I use it daily for my business. When they called back later Tuesday morning the tech said it was “in process” of being finished but it might be until Wednesday that I would get it back (?!). At that point they had 1.5 hours of labor into it. That brings me back to the “expedited service” issue. I would think “expedited” would mean that not only would I be put at the top of the service queue, but that my issue would be worked on until complete, once parts arrived. 1.5 hours of labor spread over 3+ days is what I was looking at. They called me back later on Tuesday to tell me it was ready and when I asked them about the expedited issue I was told to deal with Kay on this. When I arrived to pick up the laptop, the woman who waited on me complained that she “wasn’t a tech” but that some other part delayed the work (possibly a microphone cable or something, although no mention of this was on my paperwork) and that Kay was busy. After stating my case in a logical way multiple times that I shouldn’t have to pay the $50 expedited fee she reluctantly took this off my bill in a huff. I paid the $430 bill and took my laptop home. But the story doesn’t end there! I immediately plugged in my laptop to A/C, booted to Windows, and got the SAME ERROR MESSAGE I initially received almost a week prior, “plugged in, not charging”. I then brought it BACK to Microworx, and waited while they again looked into it. After 15-20 minutes of waiting, finally an older gentleman (possibly the owner?) told me the real reason for the message was that my A/C cord was underpowered (65 watts vs. 90 watts). He swapped out the cords at no charge (thank you!) and my problem was FINALLY fixed. But why was I charged almost $400 for a new motherboard when a simple cord swap would have fixed the problem? And if the motherboard was indeed the issue I can understand that, but not how the whole issue was handled. Very poor customer service!!!
Great deals, great staff.
I knew I had a serious PC problem and I remember seeing their ads on TV so I called to get more info. Then I called a friend of mine who was an IT guy from a major Rochester employer to see if he knew them. When he gave them a Triple A Rating I knew I was in good hands. And I found out that I was. Now that my 'New' PC is back up and running top notch [and it didn't cost me an arm and a leg], I'd gladly recommend them to anyone with a PC issue who was looking for top quality work at a fair price.
I was out of town for work and desperately needed a laptop compatible to some really old PCMCIA cards. The owners took a personal interest in my problem, and were able to work with one of their techs to assemble a great computer from several old laptops that were lying around their shop. I have never received customer service this great! Thank you, Microworx, I couldn't have gotten the job done without you!
Great service and nice people! Turnaround was quicker than quoted!
