I'm not sure why this company has any good reviews. This is the second bad experience I have had with them. The first time I found them on Kijiji, got a thinkpad laptop from them shipped. The battery had serious issues and the OS did not feel clean to navigate. The computer also came in with a lesser storage unit than was advertised. I called in but they they tried to convince me that somehow 160GB magically reduces to 80GB HDD (what they sent). The CSR was rude and arrogant. Also, there were cracks on the edges and bottom of the laptop. I agreed to their BS and eventually, I had to sell the miserable piece of a laptop to a local pawn shop. The second time I bought a dell laptop for a friend from them last year. The laptop kept switching on and off, making weird noises. We called in to their office and they did not offer us a refund, they also wanted us to pay for both return shippings of the defective product. If you have to send anything back to them you will have to pay for shipping back and forth, which might even total up to the laptop you bought. Nothing against the owners but the effort and dedication you put toward building your machines really shows through the build quality, bad. Also, I would like to see pictures of the real items I am purchasing instead of stock images that are a bit deceptive. I wouldn't recommend them to anyone buying online. Save yourself the trouble and buy from a seller with integrity.

When my laptop suddenly stopped working, I had heard that they did good work, so I took it to them to see if my laptop could be repaired. Sadly, it could not. But the salesman gave me some very good options as I was on a very tight budget and I was able to get a different laptop which in many ways, is better than the one that I lost. They were very helpful and Informative. I recommend them to anybody.

Spent 750$ on 2 computers for a business. One of the computers blue screens all the time and was loaded with windows 10 with a graphics card on the motherboard not even compatible with Windows 10. Explained we will be upgrading and purchasing 5 more computers for our office.. They wouldn't even exchange the computer not functioning correctly with in 2 days of purchase. Lol crooks. Avoid them you'll thank me.

These Guys are Incompetent and Swindlers-my computer crashed-I took it to Infotech -Told it was $40 for an Estimate-I said I really needed the Data-Came Back -Charged me $169 -said the Data Couldn't be saved,so they replaced the hard drive and loaded windows-Luckily I asked for The Old Hard Drive-Took The Old Drive to "Your Computer and Signs" in Cannington-They downloaded the data off the old drive and transferred it to my new computer for $65 with no problem!-I wouldn't let Infotech touch anything

They could not fix my GTX 1070 video card. I dropped it off on a Thursday and did not hear from them for 3 business days. I actually had to call on Tuesday to get info and was told that they were sorry for not reaching out to me. They said that the card had too many problems to be fixed. And the card was returned. I was charged $25 diagnostic fee. The young man who returned the card told me that they did not work on the card, that it was just disassembled and upon visual inspection there was too much to be repaired. Now that I received the card I noticed there was a little bit of soldering done to it. Also it appears they lost one of my original black bolts and replaced it with a silver shorter one. This was a terrible experience and I advise other people to stay away from the shop for any PC repairs. They are incredibly unprofessional and it shows. Also upon arrival there was a disgruntled customer at the front door; punching and banging at the door screaming profanities at the staff. I was told by staff to meet them out back to avoid this lady. 0/10 experience

I purchased a laptop online from Infotech Computers. The machine was not working properly. I asked them to fix but they couldn't do that. When I asked for a refund, I was told that there would be a 20% deduction. I requested a replacement and they showed me a computer which was more expensive. The salesman demanded $195 for that machine. When I calculated the price I was shocked to know that the salesman was overcharging $60 more. They are dishonest people and try to cheat the customer. They are dishonest, unprofessional, and rude. I don't recommend buying from Infotech Computers at all. Please, don't waste your money on buying stuff from this site.

Idk why theres so many negative reviews but i recently bought my Dell M6600 workstation for just $300 with 16gb ram, 2gb amd hd 8900 graphics card & 160gb ssd with a 1TB hdd with an i7 for just $300 which is just soo cheap imo, i needed a powerful laptop for my graphic/web designing and i had my eyes on like surface pro 3 or 4 but i got something a 100x times more powerful workstation for just effin $300 with free shipping and it was delievered by canpar within 5 days of order ( warn you canpar does have a lot of bad reviews on their website and i was skeptical but after it arrived all my doubts were cleared the laptop was wrapped in plastic foam cover and the package was handled with great care, so no complains whatsoever with canpar) ; the laptop came with some really useful apps and is works great and its condition is like brand new, the owner must have kept it with great care from what i can tell.. now ik this sounds too much to be true but trust a bro :) gonna be recommending them to family & friends! Initially I was skeptical about making an order from an unknown store in Toronto, but this unbeatable price for a 27 inch Samsung monitor convinced me otherwise even if some of the Yelp reviews were not so great. Let just say that those reviews were very wrong. The monitor I received was extremely well packaged. Fast shipping and the monitor I received is flawless. Used to work there - Horrible place, with a horrible culture, mismanaged in every way, and they can barely put a decent machine out the door. I caught SO MANY broken computers being put up for sale, and saw some of the worst customer service I've ever seen. Remember, you get what you pay for, so if you think you want to get a computer from here because of the cheap rates, don't be surprised when it falls apart on you or some employee loses his temper when you seek help/restitution. Response: The owner's doing to me what he did to others who left before me, shifting the blame for his mismanagement onto others. While I worked there, I was so good at catching problems that he wanted me to just continually check the inventory for mistakes/issues in whatever time I could find outside of my regular duties. But once gone, I "lack skill", and am the "sole cause of recurring issues". Amazing how that turns around 180 degrees, isn't it?! And the story about initiating a fight is a 100% lie, hence why he's taken no action on it, and won't. This is a sad attempt to save face on a public forum, but you need to know it's a facade, and many people WILL get terrible goods with terrible service. Buyer beware.

I purchased 2 Dell PC's from Infotech. A 790 and 990 i7. They arrived in good condition and were refurbs. I upgraded both with 240GB SSD's. I was able to use the Win 7 Pro key to upgrade each machine to Win 10 Pro no issues. They were very clean inside. I used DellAssist to upgrade the bios and that went well also. I would not hesitate to use Infotech again for anymore refurb PC's

STOP! Please don't pay online. I bought 3 similar computers in last one year from infotech. The last PC I bought, I paid online first, then went to pick it up. (Please at least take a screenshot of the ad if u r doing online business). The computer was advertised with SSD, windows 10 pro, Nvidia 745 etc. The ad will not be available after your checkout. The manager will not listen to you. They will deny everything on the ad. You will have no proof to back your complaint up. You cannot cancel the transaction, for return they take 20% or replace with something else available within 7 days. If I can spend $510 for a PC I can pay $550 too, but Taking SSD, WiFi, SD card reader, and other parts out (wrong advertisement) is not a professional way of doing business. This was my last time going in this store. I rather spend my money somewhere trust worthy. This was my son's birthday gift and I end up going other places to find parts for the junk box. Save yourself the trouble.

Being an old techie myself, I asked millions of questions before buying a product. They answered everything 100% with no bs, they were patient and willing to help They had taken the time to call in when there was any issue or changes needed to be made. Professional tone/service. Upon receiving the computer everything was clean, the cable management was well executed. 6 PIN connectors were not connected to the PSU so I could plug in the GPU but it was able to do it easily. Overall satisfied 5/5. - Great customer service - Professional - Great prices - Great performance PCs Will recommend to everyone/anyone.

I'm very pleased with the Dell Vostro 470 desktop I purchased about a month ago. It's so much faster (3.4gHz) than my old laptop and I was able to upgrade to a 1080p 24" monitor. I no longer have to squint when reading web pages. I highly recommend the guys at InfoTech Computers.

PLEASE READ THIS BEFORE YOU GO TO THIS REPAIR SHOP!! I went to these people to get my laptop checked out, which kept on turning off at random times. I walked in, and what seemed like half of the workforce was sitting down watching tv. "ok" i thought, i guess they are laid back or something. I told them my problem and they said because of the specific problem they had to leave it on for a prolonged amount of time or at least until it shut off again. That made sense to me. I signed a paper, and left. The next day i get an email saying that they have found that the problem is a faulty hard drive and clogged cooling system. But as i read on i become more and more upset. Here is the full email: Hi We have found the problem in your laptop. The hard drive has gone bad and the cooling system is clogged. We have done the following. - Removed the faulty hard drive - Cleaned the cooling system fan -Installed a 640GB HD and reloaded the operating system. The laptop has been working fine for hours. If you want us to complete the repair your total will be $139 + tax If you need data from the faulty hard drive ( 58GB ) that will cost $49 + tax If you choose not to do the repair we charge $49 + tax for finding the problem and doing internal cleaning of your laptop. So two things: 1. I just wanted a diagnosis (which is supposed to be free) but they did a job i didnt ask for and then wanted to be paid for it 2. After saying they replaced the hard drive and cleaned the cooling system, they then said if i want the "full" repair it would cost 139 + tax. Why? They said they already fixed the problem and the computer has been working for hours. why would i pay more for a useless "repair" i emailed them back saying i didnt want this done and after a few emails back and forth complaining, they replaced my hard drive and i didnt have to pay. I just wanted to pick up my laptop because my bad feeling about this place had increased and i felt uncomfortable leaving my laptop with them. I picked it up an hour and a half ago and i left it on since them and it has yet to turn off. In fact, i am writing this review on it.

I ran across a Kijiji advert from Infotech when I was in the market for a cheap laptop to replace my previous one which had just given up the ghost. The plan was to replace my old Dell with one from Infotech, and migrate all my hardware upgrades (SSD, RAM, faster CPU) to the replacement. About $200 later the replacement Dell from Infotech was humming along just swimmingly. Can't comment on the Infotech's warranty and service as my experience was just a straight purchase with no complications requiring further interaction though I do recommend them as a reliable source of cheap, used hardware should you be on a tight budget.

Unacceptable service, lack of professionalism and what appears to be a complete ignorance of the products they're selling. My first interaction with them was ordering a used monitor on a friday. Monday, I was told that the monitor was no longer available and that I would be refunded. Ok, inventory issues, it happens. My next order, I ordered a monitor listed as a ASUS VE248 for 100$. It turns out this was incorrectly listed, and was worth twice the price. The order is cancelled again, and I ask for the specs and model number to see if I would rather have that monitor instead. I receive a list of near-irrelevant specs which do not really detail the value of the monitor, but after some research I find out it's a 144hz VG248QE gaming monitor. This information was not included in their email, which makes me suspect they can't even tell the difference between important monitor specs. Ok, inventory mislabeling, this is getting annoying but the free shipping appeals to me, so I suppose I'll order another monitor. Third time's the charm, right? Nope. This order actually arrived, but instead of being a HP Z24i, it's a LA2405WG with unlisted black marks and scratches on it. In a U-HAUL box 3 times oversized. At this point, I'm pretty annoyed and email them about the subject. It turns out that they sent it to me on purpose, with the excuse being that it's a ''newer model'' (Latest reviews I could find for the LA2405WG were from 2010. From what I can see, this is entirely incorrect.) All I'm offered is a refund after shipping it back to them. This has been my worst experience shopping online so far, and I've ordered many different products from sites like aliexpress, ebay, etc. Don't risk it like I did.

Infotech is one of my favourite places to go to purchase a used computer. You can find really affordable, robust machines with current operating systems at Infotech. The products are sturdy and work just as expected. Businesses enjoy shopping here to replace equipment that has failed or became outdated. They have always served me with knowledgeable and courteous staff and can help a person find exactly what they're looking for. Enhancements such as more RAM or larger hard drives are easily accommodated and can be performed quickly. This is a solid store performing a wonderful service!

I found that they are pretty professional, their website is very good and well organized. I purchased something online, the shipping bill was 35 dollars. I just thought it was simpler to get it shipped so I did so. It took them 1 week even to send it, or at least give me the shipping info. I do know that any delivery service is running double time around this time of year, but I found it semi unprofessional for it only to be sent 1 week later for 35 dollars.

Be careful when dealing with this company. I had a very bad experience with them. 1. When I asked for product photos before buying because I live far away they send me sugary photos with no scratches on the device, and when I received it, it had scratches not shown in the photos. 2. When discussed that, they said they sent me real photos. 3. I decided to return it back. In thier policy I will loose 20% (not justified but it was there) and they will pay the return shipping fees. When I contacted them for the return they changed the policy while I'm talking to them on the phone. Good that i had a screenshot with timestamp before and after the change. They denied that they changed it until I sent them the screenshots. Then they had to pay the fees. Anyway, be careful and don't buy anything from them if you didn't see it live.

Poor customer service. Overpriced. Poor business hours. I am only able to make it on Saturdays due to their terrible hours. Drove over 1.5 hours to get there on Saturday and unfortunately because of the abysmal traffic in the area I was a couple of minutes late (literally maybe 5 minutes). I had already previously spoken with the salesperson who knew what I was coming in to purchase. I called shortly before closing to ask if they could kindly wait for me and have it ready for me to quickly purchase, and they told me they wouldn't wait even one minute. Found a better ThinkPad on Kijiji for less money the very next day. Do not even waste your time with infotech - they are overpriced and you definitely aren't paying for better service.

I have bought a few laptops from this store in-person and never had many problems. I ordered an old ThinkPad a while back and it was shipped in terrible condition. The keys were extremely sticky and hadn't been cleaned. The laptop wouldn't boot into the advertised OS (W10). After debugging for a while I discovered the laptop was shipped without the harddrive even being plugged in. It was just bouncing around loosely in the laptop. I emailed them about it with no response. They don't care at all. There are more reliable places to buy refurbished laptops.

Dell XPS 8700 16GB (32max) RAM (four 4GB sticks - uggh) I ordered through their webpage. The case had two very small scratches on it. One on top and one one the side - they were not an issue for me. I was contacted via email to confirm Innotech received the order, and again, the next day, to tell me they were working on the order. I received a call from one of their employee's a day or so later - he called to confirm he had just finished preparing the PC and would now be preparing it for shipping and it would ship "today or tomorrow." For me, this was not necessary, but I thought it was a nice touch. I thought, " They must be relatively new in this business because I can't see them calling every single customer if they have thousands and thousands..." The PC was packaged very securely. Innotech did not skimp on bubble wrap and a good solid box. Three cuts of the tape and the bubble wrap came off very easily (bonus - packed very well and easily unwrapped). I plugged it in and booted to the Dell diagnostic tools. Ran the full spectrum of tests checking any boxes I saw that said things like "full test - meaning not a quick test) - the BIOS testing took an hour or so - all tests finished rather quickly (5-10 minutes on the longest) except for the memory test, which by design, ran for almost an hour on it's own. All tests passed. I booted in Windows. Windows home - uhhhg - the only bad thing I have to say about this PC is Windows Home. It's a pity PC's come with Windows Home sometimes, such a shame. Windows Home never should have been... I installed a ServerOS and then rolled out DNS and FTP only. The onboard nic handled the services easily enough. I also recreated my Plex install on this PC from another server I have running. Installed Plex Services. It's been running fine for about a week like that. 3 month warranty on this PC. They should offer to sell a upgrade to one year warranty - I would have bought it if the price was right. Other thoughts. I'll put all my hard drives in from the other server once a month has passed and no issues. Good service so far. I'll buy from them again for my used computer needs for sure. If they turn out to be unreasonable in the future there are at least 5 local stores selling used PC's that I am aware of in the Ottawa area. I went out of my comfort zone here as I usually like to see the used PC I am buying before I buy it. So far so good and I am impressed with Innotech.

I didn't make a purchase but I had my laptop repaired here. Service was efficient, quick and affordable and the reps were friendly. That being said: 1. They didn't call me when the laptop was finished being repaired. I had to call them. 2. It took them a while to find my laptop case when I came to pick it up 3. They failed to reinsert the USB receiver for my wireless mouse back into the laptop when they were done the repair. They forgot to give it to me and I left without it. I had to call them to have them look for it, at which point they said they'd call me back in 2 hours to let me know if/when they find it. They never called and I had to call them back about it. They did find it, though, and now I have to drive back to them to get it.

Infotech Computers is one of the few buyers of used computers and peripherals in Toronto. I walked in here with all of my old electronics that were clogging my storage; including 5 desktop computers, 2 monitors, 1 laptop, and a lot of peripherals (keyboards, mouses, cables, etc.). Their website has an exhaustive list of other items that they do not purchase, such as printers. I was greeted by their friendly staff, who were courteous enough to even help me unload everything from the car. They took about 20 minutes testing the various devices, and then came back with a lump-sum offer for everything. I can't comment on the reasonableness of the offer, since I hadn't checked the items' fair market value before taking them in. Typically, they don't want computers that will pay less than $30 though, as they have to commit time performing repairs and upgrades to resell them. However, they were happy to recycle the one desktop that they felt was worthless. The convenience of selling everything on the spot, rather than listing each item individually on a classifieds website, is alone worth the 5 stars I am giving them.

I had my laptop in for repair and they continually messed up my repair. - I had to call in a few times to get updates. - I think they forgot about my repair a few times. - It was constantly delayed because the technician wasn't in. - I was told it was ready, but they just needed to test the antivirus. My computer was in for a power issue. - After it was repaired the first time the computer failed after 5 minutes of use. - The second repair took very long, and they didn't order the needed part until after I called in. - After the second repair was complete they lost my charger. They gave me a worse on as a replacement. If you go here I would: Leave nothing for the tech's to write down, document everything, and follow up regularly to make sure you haven't fallen through the cracks. I am sure there are better organized companies out there.

My name is Roman R. and for the past ten years, I have been a loyal customer of Darroll Ellwood who is the owner of Infotech Computers. I bought my first used computer from Darroll back in the spring of 2010 at a very reasonable price but was wary that the 90 day warranty might not be long enough. My fears were allayed when the computer I purchased from him functioned perfectly for a period of 5 years. I then bought a second used computer from him in the summer of 2015 at a very reasonable price and again I was very happy that it functioned very well for me until only this month of December of 2019. I got almost 5 years of trouble-free use out of that computer as well. I think that Darroll and his team are the most honest and fair-minded used computer dealers that any customer can be fortunate enough to discover and deal with. Over these last 10 years, I have noticed that his front counter management staff have always been excellent in terms of their technical knowledge, customer service orientation and willingness to help out with any issues that may arise. With that being said, I must give special mention to the new front-of-business manager named Waleed. I had never met Waleed before this week when I went to Infotech to buy a used computer to replace the one that I had been using for almost 5 years (which I also purchased from Infotech). This very personable fellow named Waleed was very attentive to my many questions about the operation of the HP computer that I just purchased, and he definitely stands out as the best of all of the great managers that I have had the pleasure of dealing with over the years with Infotech. I highly recommend this dealership to anyone looking for the best quality used computers at the best reasonable prices.

No response. Update- After calling and emailing multiple times... I finally managed to get a hold of someone. They provided me a shipping label... fixed my battery (which ended being the power supply not being strong enough to charge my Battery)... and shipped the computer back to. So they do stand behind their products... You just need to hound them. Update #2- So the computer they shipped back to me (battery problem) still had the problem.... I detected that as soon as I received it and plugged it in. I called again and they offered to replace the computer with another one... I accepted. Close to 3 months later that computer died (looks like the motherboard). I called again.... They will cover this under warranty... however now I have to pay to ship it to them (weird... but I'm ok with it as I was 1 week over my 3 month warranty). I will update this again after next steps complete.... Company is helping and helpful... but Geez how many times do I have to go through this? Update #3- Computer is working fine... final thoughts... I had to go through some hoops but it all worked out in the end. I am upgrading to 4 stars.

Bunch of crooks, called them to get an estimate of my laptop, they gave me a reasonable estimate so i drove an hour to go to them, when i reached there they reduced the price from estimate by 50%. I was so pissed but the rude guy who was dealing with me said “its not up for discussion” sell it at this price or not.

Great service so far. I ordered a computer and it was delivered in two days. It arrived as promised. There was an issue with the power supply (severe humming/would likely break very soon). When I contacted them about it, they did a great job of sending a replacement part quickly. I've only had the computer a bit more than a week, but so far I'm happy with this business.

They didn't have the item I wanted in stock after purchasing it from them online. They offered me another monitor (same size/price) for a replacement but the max resolution of the other monitor was much lower, so they tried to trade down for an inferior product, hoping I wouldn't notice. They wouldn't do anything else for me except issue a full refund. Horrible customer service and sales team. Will not ever buy from them again. In response to the owner since the website won't let me respond directly to him. I'm leaving a negative review. 1. Because my experience was negative! therefor a negative review! 2. You had an item for sale on the website showing in stock, I did NOT buy an out of stock item. hense, how could I purchase it and pay for the item if not in stock?? (Try updating your website or your inventory) 3. Don't try to trade the item I bought for a less desirable and worse item then the one I purchased. (Lower resolution monitor) What if I got accepted the trade, had the item shipped, turn the monitor on and found out the resolution was less than I expected and previously purchased? I would then have to pack the item back up, go through some RMA process, ship it back via whatever method and wait for a credit. These things are unacceptable. Along with customer service that simply did not care either way.
