Talked with Raymond about my Computer problems, and when I brought my unit to him, he diagnosed it and explained the problems to me. I had two options in which the first one was for him to try and fix the problem.He was able to explain to me what was causing the problem and after much thinking I decided to get a new computer with the components on the old computer that are good be transferred to the new computer with upgrades that I want. Gave me a quote on the new computer with the upgrades that I want. Decided to go ahead and he told me that it will take a week to Finish it. He finished it ahead of time before a weekend so I was able to tinker with my new unit. I would've given Ray 5* but when I first came in he advised they do not do touch screen laptops. I had to show him a quotation I received from the company in order for him to look into this particular repair. In the end they completed the repair. The price was competitive as I shopped around . The actual time it took for repair was fast and I received a text once it was done which I thought was more efficient than a phone call. When I came to pick up my laptop he powered it up and we both confirmed that it was working prior to me leaving the shop. Overall it was a great experience but a company should know the services and products they offer by heart. I would definitely refer them to my friends and family.

I had to repair my laptops on 2 different occasions. One where I somehow blue screen the laptop and the gentleman at computer Central repaired it quickly and at a very good price. The other time was when I tried to replace the battery myself and I messed up the keyboard as well the HDD. Raymond gave me a free first-look diagnosis, enough to convince me to have him take a deeper look. I ended up paying for a level 2 diagnosis to find out how I could save my $2000 laptop that was used for serious work. Raymond said it would take 3-4 business days. After only 1 day, he called me with a fixed laptop (and also re pasted and cleaned up things inside for no additional cost). This is the kind of service to expect from this store. Had an issue with windows 10 update. Could not read boot record. Spent 3 weeks researching and trying solutions - none worked. Discussed with Ray, who suggested a solution. Rather than spend another few weeks attempting various approaches, I followed Ray's suggestion (re-install WIN 10 on a new hard drive). Did this - got the system to boot-up, and then copied/reinstalled all applications. (Did a purge as well). Now I have a system that is working, and am waiting for M$ net upgrade.

I initially found his shop 2-3 years ago after researching various computer repair options in Mississauga. My experience was pleasurable right from the first phone call. He came across as knowledgeable and expressed genuine concern. I was immediately sold based on customer service alone. Since then, I've come in on more than one occasion with two different laptops (I've been a bit accident prone)! Some of the concerns have been a dead battery, damaged frame, poor sound quality, waning wifi connection, and missing screws. I was most recently in last week during the pandemic. As always, the service was reasonably priced with a quick turnaround - even faster than promised. Especially during this time, we have a great opportunity to support small businesses. With Raymond's expertise and friendly demeanor, he makes this easy to do.

I ordered a custom desktop from Computer Central (somewhere between their Business PC and Graphics PC). Raymond was very responsive, explaining in detail how each modification I was considering affected price, and the turnaround was super quick (I sent first email on Monday, we had agreement and I paid initial deposit on Tuesday, Friday computer was all ready and I picked it up!). I've now had the computer for a month and am very happy with its performance (speed is exceptional --- when powering on, Windows 10 boots in 5 seconds! --- noise level is on quiet side, etc). Price was also quite reasonable. And no adware / bloatware which is nice. Any drawbacks? Well, it only has ethernet (no wireless card included by default). That's fine for me, but if you need it, you should bring it up. Likewise I have only internal speakers (they're fine) and no web cam. But again, that's part and parcel of getting a custom system. Ask if you're not sure :)

My Dell XPS PC had been running slowly and my DIY approach to resolving the issues wasn't working. I initially resorted to Dell Support for assistance - Big Mistake! After many, many wasted hours attempting to deal with the problem(s?) and receiving completely ineffective and frustrating 'dartboard support' from Dell, I had a computer that would no longer boot. I was facing a tax deadline and the prospect of late filing penalties if I wasn't able to get up and running again. After considering a few other choices, I decided to call Computer Central. I hadn't dealt with them before but from the many positive reviews I had read I was hopeful that they might be able to help. After a brief telephone conversation with Raymond and being impressed with his approach, I decided to take my computer to him. It was one of the better decisions I have ever made! In a little over 24 hours, Raymond had backed up my data, tested my hard drive for issues, reinstalled Windows 8, rolled the OS forward to Windows 10 Pro, installed a new solid state drive, and installed a pair of RAID drives that were harvested from my old PC. I now have a system that is running like new, my data is backed up and secure, and the performance-draining crap that had accumulated on my system has been eliminated. The hard drive that Dell told me should likely be replaced is running just fine. Raymond also provided me with much appreciated and worthwhile advice for maintaining my system and keeping it running at peak efficiency. I will not hesitate to use Computer Central in the future nor would I hesitate to recommend their services to anyone I know. I found the cost of their services to be surprisingly reasonable. Raymond has a level technical knowledge, skill, efficiency and responsiveness that is extremely rare. Thank you Raymond! You rescued me from a desperate situation that had begun to look hopeless.

Great service. Brought my system down a couple of months ago for repair and everything is running smooth, no hiccups since the fix. I have a desktop I use for work and personal projects and one morning it wouldn't start, stuck in a loop of repair screens. Regardless of which route I took, I always ended up right back at the repair window. Until my only option was to format the entire system. Raymond fixed my computer and saved all my files as well. My laptop had a battery problem where it would shut down when only half the battery was eaten up. I went to an Acer service center but the process to get my laptop fixed for such a small issue would've taken weeks. I came to Computer Central and Raymond quickly encountered the problem and gave a much faster solution. As long as you just hand him all the money he wants he fixes the issue as long as you don't speak. Here's why I built a brand new computer that wouldn't turn on. I took the pc to Raymond and made an arrangement to just troubleshoot the problem for a slightly discounted price so i can fix the problem myself, at my time. Next day, i came into his store and find out that he decided to fix the issue by adding a generous amount of 2 screws to fix the issue but DOUBLING the original cost on my behalf. when i asked why didn't he call me, he broke into a a not very interesting tale about how he has no time, and how i clearly have no concept of computers, how i'm being cheap bickering over 30$ and how great his reviews are on the internet. Apparently, during his 20 min rant it occurred to him that it was beneath him to consider the 30$ that he added on, another lecture ensued and i eventually left. So he did his job but not a pleasant person to talk to at all.

A virus had infected my computer, so I called Best Buy Geek Squad to determine how much it would cost to remove the virus and reset my laptop and how long it would take as I was in dire need for same day cleanup. They were charging $190 plus tax and they were unsure how long it would take. What a racket!!! An extra $100 and I could buy a brand new laptop. I immediately googled computer repair in Mississauga and Computer Central Canada was the first one that popped up. I was very impressed by the stellar ratings and reviews so decided to give them a call. I spoke with Ray, explaining my situation and he was more than willing to help me out of this jam. I stopped in at lunch to drop off my laptop. I called in around 5 to get a status update and wouldn't you know it, it was almost ready to go, in ONE DAY!!! for HALF the price. In just 5.5 hours, my laptop was ready to go. I was completely impressed at the quality, speed of the service but also the professionalism by Ray. It's his work ethic that is sorely lacking in these big companies like Best Buy. If you ever need computer repairs or anything, I highly highly recommend him. The man i spoke to ended up wiping my computer clean at a fair price and recommended using kapersky antivirus to protect my computer. I took his suggestion, he downloaded kapersky onto my computer for me and my computers been running like its brand new ever since. I also ended up going back because i needed to download open office writer onto my laptop and I couldn't seem to get it to download by myself. I took my laptop to Computer Central to have it checked out. The battery was not charging, so I had to use it with the power cord connected all the time. I also took my old Dell Inspiron tower - I had not used it in a couple of years as it would not power up. Within 30 minutes, Raymond had determined that the laptop battery had one or two defective cells and that the tower needed a new power unit (I thought it may have a motherboard problem). The total cost of parts and service was extremely reasonable. I had often driven by Computer Central and thought if I ever had computer problems, I would take it there, since the store has been there a long time. Now I know why! Last Sunday night, my desktop crashed. As a graduate student preparing to defend his thesis, I was devastated. On Monday morning, I went to my local Staples where I was told that the repairs could take FOUR WEEKS!!! Further, the repairs would not be done on the premise by that particular store's in-house technicians; they would have sent my desktop to God knows where to be repaired by God knows who. Service was fast! I was already pretty sure about the problem with my computer that the PS was gone, I had contacted Canada Computers about it and was told that it would take at least 3-4 days just to change the PS! I contacted this company and Raymond said if I bring my computer in before 1 pm he could have a look at it and get it done. He was true to his word... I got there about 11 am and he put in the new PS and was done by 11:30 am. I would highly recommend Computer Central for anyone who needs fast and accurate service! :)

Brought in a 10 year old PC that would no longer boot up. Was advised to buy one a new computer or one of the affordable off lease ones they sell, because it would only be a couple of hundred more then fixing my old computer. It was good advice, that I did not follow. instead a got my old computer working for a reasonable rate given how much work had to be done. I now have a working computer and access to my data for reasonable rate. Most shops would insist you get a new computer and pay for data recovery. Was happy that owner was able to solve my needs at a resonable rate and not insist on more expensive options that I didn't want. When the time comes I will be going back to buy an off lease computer as they are only a few years old with top notch componets that should last for years.

I am not in the remotest sense considered a techie, so having to replace my 10 year old dead computer was an experience I was not looking forward to. I did some online research for computer specs and talked with big box computer sales reps who could not give me a comfort level that I was not over-buying for my needs. Then, three days ago I walked into Raymond`s shop with my dead CPU and back up drive hoping he could salvage my data. Beyond computer repair work, I noted that Raymond also sold new computers. After listening to my story and problems with my computer Raymond took the time to review with me my actual computer usage versus my specifications and provided valuable advice as to how I could save money on a new unit while meeting all my requirements. Raymond`s patience, professionalism, explanations, attention to detail, and interest in my requirements inspired a lot of trust. I never felt at a disadvantage because of my lack of tech expertise and he patiently answered all my questions. His pricing is competitive with the big box stores (I checked!) but his service is incredible. After determining my computer was indeed beyond repair, he turned around the new order in 2 days. He spent several hours with my husband and I today when we picked up the new computer, installing all the backed up documents, new software and setting up the computer so I essentially had a ``plug and play`` device when I got home. My laptop screen had broke, so I had no visuals. Took it to another company's store, they said about six weeks in the shop waiting for parts. I'm a students so losing my laptop for 6 weeks was out of the question. Went to Computer Central after reading some reviews. Staff was professional and polite. They said around three to five business days which is absolutely wonderful timing. I got a pleasant surprise the next day when I received a text from the store stating my laptop was ready for pickup. It took less than 24hrs for them to do the repair. By far the best experience I've every had with a tech store. Would absolutely recommend to anyone. Disappointed with past experiences involving computer repairs, I went to Computer Central based on their perfect review scores. And I wasn't disappointed. Infact even though I expected the service to be good it tuned out to be phenomenal. They definitely deliver more than they promise. I ended up buying some hardware from them too. The rates were comparable with Amazon. So that was a double whammy.

I found Computer Central online and based on the reviews decided to give them a try to fix my laptop. The reviews were all correct . Raymond is very friendly, gave lot of good computer tips on my laptop and very knowledgeable.Price was very reasonable and service excellent. I work in the construction industry, my Dell laptop gets dragged with me on all sorts of sites. I recently damaged my screen, and without my laptop my job is much harder. I brought the laptop in to Computer Central at 2:30pm on a Thursday. Raymond overnite expressed a new screen, and had my laptop ready for pick up by noon Friday. Less than 24 hrs and I was up and running again. Great service, and very professional to deal with the with. I'll be back.

I received exceptional service late yesterday (Feb 16) afternoon at Computer Central by Mr. Raymond Borges. A rare combination of professionalism, courtesy and good humor hardly seen these days in retail. A real breath of fresh air. Exceptional knowledge and a fair price for a desktop computer that already far exceeds the specs and performance of the one its replacing. I cant recommend Raymond more highly. He invested time and patience on the phone two weeks ago when my original computer began to have trouble. When it finally died yesterday. I felt compelled to see the man behind the friendly voice. I was an early customer many years ago when Computer Central started. My son spotted their advert in a broadsheet called Toronto Computes and it promised versatility with competitive pricing. Haven't looked back since. They built each of my successive desktops, occasionally fixed problems and did upgrades. All promptly, professionally, and driven by listening. Never pushed anything on me, and their advice was always sound. They are worth the schlep out to Mississauga (for someone living in the city) as they are knowledgeable and prompt. Prices are still very good.

I have an ASUS VivoBook Flip notebook PC which only had an 64GB installed on the motherboard. There no more room to install more apolications. When I contacted ASUS support they told me that my specific model would only accept one additional drive with a maximum capacity of 256GB. When i brought my notebook to Computer Central to get a new SSD drive installed, the manager, Raymond, questioned whether a 512GB could actually be installed. He quickly did some research in some online forums which lead him to believe that it might be possible to install the larger drive. He was willing to try and I agreed. He ordered the drive and installed it the next day. Contrary to the response I got from ASUS, the notebook accepted the 512GB drive, no problem. I had Raymond clone the existing onboard drive to the new drive and make it the boot drive. Now I have all the capacity I need and am extremely pleased the work done and the quick turnaround time. I highly recommend Computer Central for PC upgrades and repairs.

My old computer had lots of viruses and really slow and was going to throw it out. Called Ray after looking at these reviews here. Seemed like a really down to earth guy and told me to bring it in whenever I wanted. Brought it in the next day after work. Ray knows his craft inside out and gave me no pressure to try to upsale anything and told me it would take 1-2 days. The next day got a phone call before finishing work and told me I could pick it up. Once there he showed me what he did to make sure I was satisfied and installed a few things I wanted. Job 10/10, price 10/10, efficiency 10/10. If you need a computer repair I suggest to go and see him.
