I constantly recommend this shop to anyone I see with a Phone or Tablet. It's good knowing you can save a lot of money by repairing a broken device locally, rather than having to buy a new device as often as accidents tend to happen. Locally owned, and in business for so many years. Don't let the new comers in town chip at UEs business! Universal Electronics has been helping people on a budget here in Campbell River for about a decade! If you have any doubt, YouTube how to fix your device yourself. UE does that stuff all day every day!

Top notch service. It is not easy to fix phones and these guys really put out the effort to bring success. Replaced the USB charging port on my Samsung G3 and I'm in business again now for 1/4 of the cost of a replacement phone! I should get two more years out of it by my estimate, so using these guys for repair can cut your long term ownership costs by 40%!

Brought a Mac Mini in because it was running slow. We agreed to have it returned to Snow Leopard from El Capitan. $50.00. Brought it back as nothing worked now. Reverted back to El Capitan. Now so slow it barely worked. another $50.00. This time they suggested increasing the RAM to 4 for another $96.00. Took the computer to London Drugs and a qualified MAC Tech ran an Apple diagnostic (free) and found the fan and the sensors were not working and the unit was scrap. Universals answer was that they were not approved Apple Techs. It would have been nice to know after spending $100.00 on nothing. Go to London Drugs !!!!

i cannot recommend this business to anyone i asked for a screen replacement on my ipad and it was returned to me damaged and i was told that only apple could help me but they are the ones that broke my ipad and refused to address the damage they did

Went in to Universal today under the assumption that I would be needing to replace the LCD screen on my cell phone. Upon discussing the troubles and that I've had this phone less than a year she suggested I call provider directly as it should be still under warranty. I was turned away not once but twice from the local cell phone providers store, stating the damage was my doing and warranty was null. Turns out it was just a software undate gine wrong. Instead of just taking my money and fixing something that didn't need to be, they were honest and very helpful! When the time comes that I need work done to my phone when my warranty is in fact null, I know where I will be returning! Honesty is always the best route, Universal Electronics understands the value of that!
