Nixon is not at his store often and that becomes frustrating to pick up or drop off my computer. He is good at taking your money and not fixing the problem you brought it in for unless you pay more. My computer problem reappeared and he says it's not his fault you did something and wanted more money to fix it again. No guarantee here. He is annoyed if you show up hen he is eating and will ask you to come back. That was it for me. The place is always empty and now I see why.

It's very hard to find someone a technician to look after you and the most honest way to fit into your budget if it was matter of 3 dollar cable to resolve problems he will tell you .instead of robbing you blind. If I could give zero stars I would. I have never been treated as poorly as I was by Nixon. They don't honor their exchange policy. If you push the issue he basically accusing you of returning a used damaged product..worst experience won't return and certainly won't recommend.

I cant comment on the actual computer work (which I am sure is good given other reviews), but I was disappointed that when I dropped into the store with my laptop I was (not) helped by a female employee with no tech knowledge. I wanted to ask a few questions before submitting my laptop for diagnosis to see if it was even worth a try. She told me to come back at 430pm when the owner would be in. After lugging my 1 year old son with me across town I did not feel like coming back again at the end of the day so I took my business elsewhere. Maybe this was just an odd day, but I highly recommend the owner hire staff who have tech backgrounds for walk in customers (or make it by appointment only). My time was wasted and those with babies in tow know what I mean!

I had a very bad experience with Nelson when I took my MacBook Pro for repair. First of all, I got charged $220.40 ahead with guarantee that it is going to be fixed. I trusted and agreed to pay. After a week I got called that everything was taken care of, his cashier said that it is purring like a kitten. Got 30 days warranty, brought it home, tried it and I had the same problem. Computer was shutting down on me like before. Called right away, and sent my husband to take it back. When he did that, Nelson started blaming me that I did something to it, that I didn't explain the problem and that he didn't know what to fix. Even he said that he might charge me again for repair. I called him and told him that he was supposed to fix it from beginning, that I explained the problem to the lady that works with him and that I'm not planning on paying more. He kept my laptop for over 2 weeks saying that the guy that works for him is on holiday and that he knows more about Apple stuff. Finally got called by Nelson saying that I had a water spill (which I don't know of), that he cleaned it and now it's working. Checked it in the store for a few minutes, even that I explained that sometimes takes longer to shut down, but he said that there is nothing he can do more and that he'll call me in a week to check how it's working. Never received a call, my warranty ran out while computer was still in the store for repairs and let me tell you, now runs worse then before, shuts after few minutes of use. I was thinking a long time if writing this review or not, but decided to do so just as awareness to other people before paying for no guarantees.

Have been going to that computer guy for years for any of my computer/phone/service issues. I even had an old iPhone that was damaged beyond repair and Nixon was able to pull all my old photos and videos and transfer them to a USB stick, I thought they were gone forever. After my laptop began overheating quickly I did some research and discovered that it might be an issue with the thermal paste. I brought my laptop in and they preformed a diagnostic test, replaced the thermal paste and even went out of their way to clean out the fans. The staff was extremely welcoming and knowledgeable, and I thoroughly enjoyed the old computers displayed in the entrance. I will be returning here for all my computer needs. Highly recommend!

I must say...it all started with my husbands brand new work iPad that got dropped and screen smashed, I frantically called everyone on google for repairs..everyone said at least 10 business days to order the screen and then 5 business days to repair, if they could get the parts cause the distributor was out of stock ..BUT low and behold, I called “That computer guy” and he not only told me he could fix it in 2 days, he actually did!!!! Wow!!! My husband was more then impressed, with the service and care. We Just today took my daughters iPad in to Nixon to get repaired, which he personally called me at home to confirm I was coming, which he waited for me to arrive, before he left to get parts. Wow!!!! What amazing service! Never have I EVER had such amazing service and care. I have worked in customer services for the government for 25 years, and I must say, I have NEVER ever had such an experience of exceptional customer service in my life!!! Outside of all that is going on with the crisis globally, a small fraction to my needs, Nixon a business owner made me and my daughters needs a priority!!! WOW!!! Best customer service ever!!! The computer guy??? Really??? THANKS TO HIM I HAVE LOST EVERYTHING ON MY COMPUTER!!! He isn't qualified to fix anything! He wiped my hard drive CLEAN. I now have no pictures, no documents of any kind. He isn't qualified to wipe his ass let alone work on things that are important to his "clients". When I called this place, they said I could bring it in to get it fixed. I brought it in the next day and in less than 15 minutes my laptop was fixed. I had the worst experiecnce with "Computer Guy Inc", there was a man at the front desk and he had NO clue what was going on after he said I had to pay first otherwise he said he wouldn't do anything with my computer, so i payed $30 and with that they promised me they could fix it then I left my computer at their shop after 4 days nobody called me so then I just called to see what was going on and the person on the phone didn't even know if he had the computer there and he couldn't find it, I went to that shop myself then I found my computer but they made to many excuses to fix it, I feel i basically wasted my money and my time there i wouldn't recommend this place to anybody.

Absolutely appalled by what was done to my laptop that I desperately need as a student with primary online classes. I regret ever entrusting my laptop with this company. Firstly, I came in with an issue regarding my USB ports. He had my laptop for well over a month. After a ridiculously long period of waiting, I got back my laptop with the issue NOT being fixed, and a plethora of more issues. He shot my battery. Prior to foolishly leaving my laptop with him, I had never had an issue with my battery; in fact, it could last about 2.5-3hrs without the power supply. When he returned my laptop, my power cord came off my laptop and it instantly shut down. I had spent hours doing an assignment and all that progress was gone as Microsoft word did not auto save. The next day I came back and he pointed the blame at me, despite proving to him I had given him my laptop without any battery problems. To make matters worse, instead of owning up to frying my battery, all he did was try to sell me a new laptop. I came in with one problem and was given a dead laptop instead. I am so disgusted with what had been done to me, especially considering how important it is for me to have a working laptop in order to succeed with my education. I would NEVER recommend this place. UPDATE: I came in and gave you a working laptop with a USB problem. You gave me a dead laptop and also negelected to even put all the screws back, and they weren't even the same size. I will never come back here as you are incompetent. UPDATE #3: On top of neglecting to put 4 screws back on the exterior of my laptop, he also neglected to put 8 screws back on my motherboard. Can be seen in the photos. Great place to go to if you want your computer to be worked on by someone with no integrity!

Can not say enough great things about this company, they were happy to look at my daughters laptop which would not turn on at all. She had a huge assignment due and was heading into finals next week. We were told that it would have to be sent to Toronto and it would be 3 weeks to get it back. These guys looked at it, were able to save the data off the hard drive and then fix the computer all in the same day so my daughter will have her files and resources to study for her finals.
