The Geek Squad Replacement Plan is amazing! For $20ish a month, you can drop your phone in the toilet accidently and/or drop it off a balcony, and they'll replace it for a deductible! I'll never get another phone without it.

Brought my gaming desktop in and they told me the problem was the ram and when I went back in they said the problems actually the hard drive. So I purchased the hard drive and returned and they told me I needed a new motherboard, they have no spare parts to test for issues they just ship it to their depot.. If your looking to get your computer fixed in a timely manner bring it in to a local shop.

Paid for protection on galaxy s20 ultra and galaxy earbuds. They ripped me off on the protection for phone they say they acknowledge I paid for both and over the phone I was told they would sort it out but they told me it was some how lost and they cannot fix it????????????

I had just lost my son days before my laptop messed up so this was a very difficult time for me to make decisions. He did an excellent job and I'm truly grateful

To summarize: hard to reach, difficulty pulling up my customer file?? (how can that even happen?? they called me at my phone number..), unprofessional and arrogant phone rep, wrong installation and directed the blame to the customer They say they're available 24/7 but really they're only available 24/7 to close your chat. Their service team is extremely hard to reach. After multiple attempts and many phone transfers I finally got put to an agent who ended up blaming everything on me and told me absolutely nobody can help me. I received the wrong type of TV installation (one that doesn't make sense based on the type of TV I purchased, hence it ended up looking very awkward on the wall). I tried speaking to their online agent but she couldn't even pull up my customer file... got passed back to best buy then redirected back to geek squad... just to be able to find my file?? Then was put on hold for almost an hour and reached a lady who sounded very anxious and frustrated at me. My argument was that I was never made aware that the installation I purchased was not the intended one, I had the sales person determine the installation for me and I was never given the option to purchase the intended installation. It should be the company's responsibility, best buy or geek squad, to present the options to me in the first place. How can they expect the customer to know the different kinds of services they provide?? I will never ever use service from this company ever again and I urge you all to avoid this company.

The waiting times for help are unorganized and sometimes very long. Even if it's just for something simple. They don't have a system in place to attend orders based on the request length. Also the employees are annoying with their protection plan upsells! I don't know how they managed to make me say yes so many times!@

Ripp off . Dont buy any extended warranty . Lies only i paud $250 for extended warranty on sony tv for 4 yrs . Went there to replace tv remote after 2 yrs they denied. And try to sale new remote . So sales person lied to when they sale ,when i call keek squad they dont do mutch about that you have to deal with store . So please be careful when you buy any extended warranty

Excellent service. I got my Asus touch screen laptop screen replaced from them. They quoted CAD 300 which was much cheaper in comparison to others in the area but I finally got charged only $200 and the touch screen works really well. Highly recommend.

Took my Macbook Air in for repair after an accidental spill, within 10 days they ordered new parts and shipped it right back to me. They kept me informed throughout the entire process and made me feel confident that my computer was in good hands. The staff were very helpful and professional, making suggestions with my best interest in mind and accommodating my move to another city. Excellent!

One of the agent at this geek squad location was rude and suggested that my story was doubtful when all I wanted was to submit my item for a damage claim for which I was in good standing and made all the payments. Another rep helped and said he will submit the claim and then it is up to the department to process it. Absolutely zero customer service skills displayed by this individual who looked of South Asian ethnicity and I was pretty embarrassed by his remarks.

Geek Squad protection benefits are so hidden ...once you buy the plan your benefits are hidden they wont tell you which software or product you will get 50% off purchase ... Moreover, No phone or online support to assist customer to directly call the store and speak to geek squad agent to ask about the benefits or coverage . I called geek squad main helpline and they said they dont have discount for online products and when i asked for in store product discounts than they said you can visit store and they have nothing to tell if which product is covered or not .... I mean so OUTDATED ... $35/ Month I pay and thats what im getting lol - so poor geek squad ..... I said I want to cancel my member ship they said pay $140 to cancel ... What a blackmail ... nobody told me that when I started the plan .... Everything is hidden in geek squad ...no transparency to customer ... I would give minus one star ...

Honestly such a bad experience with this company. My laptop had a cracked screen and I brought it in the same day for repairs. It is a month later and I still have not received my computer back. They took two weeks to give me an update, in which they hadn't even started the repairs. One the phone they let me know that they didn't have the part required to fix it, so I would have to pay double what was quoted if I wanted it fixed. The online tracking has never been kept up to date, the last "update" was given three weeks ago to let me know it was in the facility. I am now paying $400 and it has taken over a month to get this back. I would have rather just bought a new computer all together if I knew this was the service I would receive. Would recommend going somewhere local instead.

I had purchased an extended warranty on my appliances last year. This year I am facing one issue with my dishwasher for which I called into Geek Squad on August 16th, 2021 and I had been provided reference number # 43693352. Now after that it's been hard time for me to juggle and follow up for my issue of appliance. First thing, the technician did not appear on the scheduled date and visited a few days after to investigate the dishwasher issue. Later I found that the dishwasher can be repaired so waited for that, after that some part was ordered so have to wait for that. I was told over phone initial ETA of 30 days and if not repaired within that time my appliance will be replaced. With this it has now been almost 60 days. Even today when I follow up with Geek Squad, I am told that my request is under process and it will take some more time for which I have no option except to wait for x number of business days. This same response was given one month back and time keeps extending. I am not provided with any written commitment though asking many times. Moreover, I am eligible for replacement of appliance since it has already crossed time but that is also not guaranteed. It looks like it can go indefinite and I lost hope though I had purchased extended warranty from Best buy where only Geek Squad is the option. I do understand that due to the pandemic there are some hiccups but at the same time I don't expect unethical and irresponsible behaviour.

I bought 2 phones and paid 35$ a month for 2 whole years! The time came when my phone screen broke and I wanted to submit a claim. They told me it would be another 200$ to get it fixed and would take weeks. I was not made aware of this when I purchased the phones. Do NOT fall for this SCAM. Biggest waste of money I have ever had. They would rather loose customers (like they just did with me), then help someone who was loyal to them and always made payments on time.

I Purchased a TV along with a 3 year extended Warranty with Geek Squad back in 2019. Filed a claim over a year ago once the TV stopped working properly. Talked to many Geek Squad Representatives who tell me my TV must be serviced before I can get a warranty. Although they have provided me with a Service provider with an applicable phone number, the service provider is unreachable. I’ve been trying for weeks to change my Service provider just to be able to get the TV serviced so I can claim my warranty. I kinda thought it was because of COVID and all the problems we were dealing with but this is just flat out bad service and you should avoid Geek Squad.

I rate zero their service and support. I left my laptop with waranty to repair the hinge and after 34 days when I call to follow up they said it is not repairable and will give me a gift card. the Geek Squad are not knowledgable and very irresponssible. They don't try to solve the problem. They just want to get rid of complaining customers. They even hungup the phone in the middle of my speaking. Terrible terrible people and service. They should be called Geek Stupid.

If I could give a zero I would. I made a claim on a QLED TV and it's been 33 days since my TV was pickup, and I still can't get an answer from Geek Squad or the company they outsource to do repairs. Initially, I called a local TV repair person because I couldn't find my Geek Squad account, and they showed up at my house, diagnosed my issue and said it would be more expensive to fix vs. repair. This entire process took 6 hours from the time I called. I 100% DO NOT recommend this service....complete fail on their part and I hope others don't get caught in this same scam I did. 0/5 STARS.

According to the UPS tracking number they never sent it. They will not let you talk to a manager. They transfer you around over and over No one is accountable in this corporation.

Avoid if necessary. I brought my PC in because they had the quickest wait times. I was told it would take 3 days to get my PC diagnosed/fixed. A week later and no call. I went inside the store due to them not taking phone calls and had told me they had called me. They didn't. I was told they don't know what's wrong but believe it's either the motherboard or processor. When I got my PC back it was later diagnosed (by another place) as a bad graphics card. Not only was it miss diagnosed, but when I got it returned my power supply is now dead (which i had purchased from them 3 months prior to this diagnosing appt) I obviously pre paid the diagnosing fee, but to which I didn't get a fore-sure diagnoses, and now I am stuck dealing with Thermaltake and trying to get warranty which isn't another process and a half. Overall terrible experience.

One star because none is available. 1 year ago bought $ 4,500.00 of new appliances. Bosch dishwasher has started to have a bad odour. Called Geek Squad, told problem, no response for 2 weeks. Finally, received local call, they will replace, but I have to pay $199 for reinstall and...wait for it. .. my insurance no longer valid, must pay for another policy if I wish. My response...just want to have someone come out and look at it...their response....no one in Kamloops that they sub contract to do can do Bosch repairs. Honest! They encourage you to buy a policy they can't fufil. Had go round with Corporate Geeks, and store, same response. Store manager was unhelpful, and had no concept of customer relations. Probably felt I was unreasonable in actually expecting someone might be able to look at problem without replacing and adding extra costs. My take.....Stay away from Best Buy, do NOT buy Geek Squad protection. Save yourself some grief.

I dropped my laptop and had some damage to it, this is a high end laptop. Brought my laptop in for repair and it was in for more than a month, came in to pick it up and the bill was over $650 which is fine, the problem is that they used the wrong screws to put it back together and my video card was "disabled/disconnected" this tells me that they didn't test it after assembly. I had to bring my laptop to another store and get it re assembled and fixed, I ended up paying again because I couldn't part with my laptop for another month, will not be using geeksquad again.

Brought night owl for repair, I previously bought at the same best buy store. Called in advance they told me to bring it in.. I brought it the7 told me they don't fix if it's not under warranty. On the phone they told me that they do repairs if out of warranty. When I confronted them then they told me that they do repairs out of warranty but they don't have parts not even checking. I took it for repair to star electronics and they fixed it.
