Needed a fix on my Macbook, called Apple and 5 other places in Oakville and Mississauga. Apple wasn't bad but their question were too robotic and procedure wise. Other places had bad vibes, negative attitude and I felt as though they catering only to the business I would have gave them, not the problem I had at hand. You all know that feeling of bad customer service. When I called the Electronic Repair Clinic, the employee had a better attitude right from the get-go on the phone and said he would discuss the price with me afterward I come in to show the problem with my Mac (spacebar stuck which is a rarer case ... not that you shouldn't ask the price before you go). Not only are the prices at Electronic Repair Clinic more reasonable, you get the feeling you aren't just another customer and your needs are definitely going to be solved by the technician. If you're going to give anyone your money GIVE IT TO THIS BUSINESS. 5/5 one hundred PERCENT. Why make the experience of having something fixed even worse when you have option of these guys! Sincerely a super happy customer.

Literally went there for a simple screen repair. As soon as I brought my phone home with my nice new screen, my phone started shutting off at random, and sometimes won't even turn back on. My 2nd time returning they told me there was a loose connection that was then fixed. I brought it home and my phone continued to shut off. My 3rd time returning they told me because my iPhone was 3 years old or was my battery, and a new one would solve my problems. I purchased my battery and brought it home, my phone continued to shut off at random. The FOURTH time I bring it back, pretty fed up at this point since originally there was NO ISSUSE, aside from my cracked screen, they take it AGAIN for fixing. A really young man comes out and tells me it's "fixed." When I inquired further what the problem was he told me it was a software glitch that his computer notified him of. Before I even left the store, my phone shuts off again. Prior to this, when I asked reasonable to be compensate for my time, patience and money invested, the manager/owner gave me $4 to get me a coffee while I wait. I was extremely insulted. I expected to be reimbursed for the battery I was told to purchase and then some. In the end, my phone was never fixed. I don't believe they actually know what they are doing. When I told them I no longer had trust in their business and wanted a refund on my battery and on my deposit on a hard drive I originally intended to purchase, I was told that if I wasn't so "edgy" they may have offered me a new phone. They were extremely condescending in the way which they spoke to me. They also initially said if I wanted my money back for a new battery they would take my new one our and give me my old one back. When I inquired how they would know which one was mine, they said they had used ones in the back, and no, they were not labelled according to customer. They openly admitted that they would be giving me some random used battery as my compensation instead of just refunding my $30 dollars I paid for it. I honestly have so much more to say but I've already written a complete novel. In conclusion, I personally work in customer service myself and I have never witnessed such a terrible experience, in so many different ways. This is also my first review I've ever written, and I only bothered because it was sincerely that bad. Save yourself your time and money.

I have a Samsung Galaxy S6 Edge that was telling me I no GPS when I tried to access my Pokemon Go. Took it to the Rogers and they told me it was a product 'glitch' discovered 6 months into launch....my choices were 200.00 to either repair or early upgrade ...the phone was just 1 year old. They suggested I take it WiFixIt which I did this morning and they told me my phone was fine! Apparently the new Pokemon Go upgrade cancelled the GPS feature for the game. Without their help I would have spent a lot of unnecessary cash, time and frustration! Thanks Rob, you really made my day!

This shop was ULTRA good 2 me!!!! Its where I bought my current phone which @ 1st gave me sooo many problems though when I asked them about these issues they did everything in their power 2 help me, which they did! Now my phone works as well as I need it 2! :D (4 the most part) i just wouldnt highly reccomend "sky phones" 2 all my friends, of course any phone is nice when u need 1 & just carrying a brand of phone is in NO way a fault on the shops part. Then there's the story of when I got my Bluetooth earpiece, Hooo was that ride! $o when my 1st 1 was completely broken (Samsung's fault) when i had already recycled my reciept not expecting a renowned samsung product 2 be defective, they didn't just say "oh tough luck sweetheart!" Like ALOT of shops would, they gave me a new 1 no question. <3 . I mean, as tech-knowledgeable as I am I to this day can't figure out why it isn't connecting 2 my phone (though it$ DEF functional) $o I can't w8 2 go back! Roarr!!

I called Tobius to ask if he was able to do a battery replacement for my iPad 3 and I would drop it off with him that afternoon. No problem, was his comment and it would only cost CAD100 to do the battery changeout so bring it in. He made a few suggestions over the phone that I should try out before I drop it off with him.....just in case and he explained some of the possible root causes for the iPad not holding its charge Well, his suggestions worked. In short avoid this place for your electronic repairs. Based on my experience, they were either not through in their work (quick to come to false conclusion) or not transparent (honest). Either ways I will not deal with them again for any electronic repair needs. Just before you ready below, my phone WORKS FINE The story below represents the truth, no grudge or revenge. As with most of the other negative reviews for they will provide “alternate facts” - up to you to decide for yourself. —— 1- I brought in an iPhone 6 plus to replace screen - mid Jan 2- Service was great, i got my phone immediately while waiting in the store 3- By early Feb the phone started rebooting on its own and stopped charging. “ regretted not taking it to Apple. At the same time it coincided with receiving an offer from Rogers to trade it in for $130. But unfortunately I couldn’t get that offer because Rogers store needs the phone reset to factory settings before taking it in. With the phone constantly restarting and not charging i had no way of doing that. 4-Took it back to the store, first thing they ask for receipt - i didn’t have it my mistake 5-I pulled out the date of the transaction the bank and they located the receipt on the system “The person at the store finally agreed to take a look at the phone after showing me the fine print on their receipts and printed at the cash register stating that the store is not responsible for any data loss or damages after the repair” very convenient for them :-) 6-First thing the technicians mention is that screws missing from phone. This could be an indication of tampering of the device “I explained to him that why would i take the device to another store or tamper with it if it breaks down after i fixed it in your place chances are i’ll come back to you to check it out. “ Totally logical, but I think they expect the worst of you :-( 7- To troubleshoot the tech plugged in another power source and it worked fine. 8- He came to the conclusion that this is a bad battery case 9- Offered me to replace the battery for $60 “I explained to him that i find this hard to believe that the battery death would coincide shortly after the screen replacement. I have’ve been an iPhone user from 2008. This simply never happened before for both new and refurbished phones” “I told the tech that Rogers gave me an offer for $130 that i’m willing to take. If he could KINDLY reset the phone to factory setting from iTunes and I would be more than happy to take back to Rogers. Sadly I did not have my laptop on me when i went to the store, could have done it myself. 10- Tech declined to reset factory setting without charging $60 same as the battery!! 11- The tech offered to buy the phone for $120 - after long negotiation “I was already bitter and I agreed on condition that he resets the phone. As i did not feel comfortable risk of exposing personal information. 12- The tech attempted to reset the phone but got stuck. 13- Gave e me back the phone and said it is too much hassle for him. I left quite disappointed that I the phone is pretty much toasted after a simple repair. I did not buy the whole idea that the batter would die shortly after the repair. Statistically highly unlikely. HAPPY ENDING: I plugged in my iPhone to the computer and it works just fine. It charges. No restarts. No nothing. It certainly was not the battery. I’m no tech expert but for all what I know it may have been poorly assembled back after the repair - same as forgetting to put back the screws BTW - I called the store after and advised them their assessment was not accurate - it magically works now. Off-course no signs of customer appreciation or apology given. Good luck with your repair.

Had my iPhone screen fixed by another shop in Oakville. After waiting 5 hours for it to be done I was less than impressed with the screen quality but also the workmanship. I was going to live with it for a while, but the screen broke due to the incorrect install. I only wish I'd gone to WiFixiT the first time. Great service, OEM quality screen and they installed it like it was from the factory in almost no time and for a fair price. If you need your phone repaired, I highly recommend taking it here. Had a charging problem with my Samsung S4 and brought it to the store to get it fixed or get an explanation on why my phone was acting up. The Manager told me that the only solution was to do a system reboot. So, I asked a simple question. "How are you going to do a system reboot when the phone will not hold a charge to turn on long enough to get to the system settings?" His response was. "When you take your car to the shop you don't ask questions when they are fixing your car" (*stupid) I will never take my phone or any computer to this shop ever again where the manager is completely incompetent. There are plenty other cell phone/cpu repair shops that will provide better service.

The positive experiences are rather all false. I bought a wifi extender from them, and it was not working, I went back to them the next day and told them the situation. They took the device for around 4-5 days and could not fix it. I came to them and told them to give me a refund, they said that they cannot give me an exchange or refund because not everything is in the box (ie two Ethernet cables) I was 100% sure that I had kept everything inside the box, but they doubted me for keep Ethernet cables. How ridiculous is that, I explained to them that I gave them everything, and the box was just as they have it to me. The person over there was very rude and blamed me saying he could not give this to his supplier if not everything was inside (I believe he was the one in charge). Later one of his employees came and told the person he took my product home and misplaced the wires. The person icnharge did not even apologize and gave me another product which did not work. Went over to best buy and got a working product. TERRIBLE service and will definitely not be returning again, not even for an Ethernet cable.

Saved Hundreds and Hundreds of Dollars!! I was referred to Tobias at Crash Override PC Repair. I was dealing with a Home Entertainment System that died over a year ago. It was a great system and to replace something equal would cost close to $1,000. I had accepted my fate and was prepared to make my Black Friday purchase when I received the recommendation on Tobias. I explained my issue by sending him online links to others who had the same experience with my equipment. In most cases, the online comments were "replace" or "not worth the $$". Tobias had a theory on what the issue was, but of course, had to look 'under the hood' before he could be sure. His fee for this process was very reasonable, and within one business day, he had brought back our Home Theatre from the dead. It was incredibly affordable. I won't list the price, as I don't want to compromise Tobias' business, but I can safely say he saved us hundreds and hundreds of dollars by avoiding a new purchase. Just in time for Christmas - and helps stretch our Christmas budget! Highly recommended!!

The owner is a joke. I called him to know how much it would cost to unlock my iPhone 4s. He then told me it would cost $100. I go into his shop the next day, ask him the same question as I did over the phone and the price magically went up to $120. I called him out on his lie, he said sorry and I then paid him $100. He told me my phone would be ready in a few days. 3 weeks later when my phone was finally "unlocked" I picked it up and went straight home to put my new SIM card inside. To my surprise my new SIM card didn't work in my "unlocked" phone. I called him back and he said that "the 4s is too old now, Apple hasnt supported the 4s for a while." He knowingly charged me $100 to unlock a phone that wasn't supported by Apple anymore. I hope I can help some people stay away from this place! He's a scumbag who doesn't deserve business. Cheers!

You charged cash $130 for battery and screen change, Gave me my phone back after a day, Brought home, Again the phone was not charging. Took it back, this time you told me the charging port is not working. Left the phone with you, You charged $40 Cash. Came back to pick the phone, you handed over me my dead phone saying Oh its mother board has a problem and cannot be repaired, its better you buy a new Phone...Wow. First of all could not find the problem right away Charged $180 and gave me back my dead phone. In fact my phone was damaged from inside and the screen Overall you were so rude and totally misbehaved rather accepting your mistake, I would say I had the worst experience of my life. I am with no phone. I have to pay $375 tab on my dead phone to get a new one, The mother of the owner was called to support Rob and be very rude with me and ready to argue...wow. Thank you to the owner for his response. I did go in and get my refund today. However, my review was not bad because I was charged twice. These things happen. My review was bad because of the lack of customer service and lack of response and follow up from beginning to end. It was as if I didn't exist. At no point did I get angry or nasty so there's no reason for this. I worked with the public for years so I treat people as I would have liked to be treated. Mix-ups can happen anywhere, I understand this. The important thing is how they're dealt with. I feel your staff would greatly benefit from training in how to deal with the public. I will not be returning. **Just finished reading other reviews, a couple from local guides like me, that confirm their unwillingness to follow up. Avoidance is the modus operandi here, I believe. Owner replied to one bad review that the customer was not in the system so had to be fake review. Based on my experience, the staff simply does not input things into the system so I'm sure the review was real.** Very mixed feelings about this place. I can't comment on their technical expertise, because my broken tablet was not repairable by them, but they may be quite knowledgeable. Customer service is poor and ability to follow up is non-existent. I think the owner has a very hands-off approach and does not train his staff. I left my tablet on a Friday night, was told I would get a call back regarding it, on Saturday. Didn't hear back Saturday, no problem, called on Monday. Spoke to a different person on Monday, and he had not been given the particulars of my problem - I had to instruct him that he needed to charge the tablet first as it was in an infinite loop of rebooting that drained the battery very quickly. He said he would do so and I waited for a callback on what he found. Again, no phone call. I called a day or two later and was told there was nothing he could do, I could pick it up and try Asus. Went to pick it up and was told I owed the $25 diagnostic fee. Said I had paid it when I dropped it off, but there was no record of that in the system so I paid a second time as I had no proof with me. Went home and found the proof in my credit card transactions. I called saying I had this but Guy#2 wanted to talk to Guy#1 as to whether I had actually paid. I said will he even remember and can I email you my proof? Was given their email, sent the proof and asked for confirmation of receipt of email. No response. Called the next day and no answer the first time. Tried again and phone rang w/o going into voicemail, eventually just got cut off. Had a feeling that my landline call display was visible and that Guy#2 was avoiding talking to me, just as he had not responded to my email. Tried later by calling from my cell phone and phone was picked up by Guy #1. I said I was calling about my refund and he said I had to come in to get it, that they could not issue a refund over the phone. I said I live on the opposite side of town and why not, could hear Guy#2 giving him instructions on what to say. At least Guy#1 was apologetic. I was finally told that the only way I could get my money back was to go back to the store and be given cash as the employees were not authorised to give credit card refunds. This is likely the reason Guy#2 was trying to avoid me, it may even have been a problem he did not want to report to his boss. Regardless, not even once was I contacted, either by phone or email, and I had not continued to call and "harass" I would have neither my tablet nor my money back. Recommendation: if they can fix your problem on the spot, go for it. Otherwise, avoid this place like the plague.

Todd and his team did an excellent job replacing with a very good quality glass and we got tempered glass protector and new case to protect even more. We had the repair done within 1/2 hour. Do not be taken in. The positive reviews are not true. Very dissapointed and disgusted with this place. Bought a charging cord from them for my phone; went home and tried it and it was broken. I went back the very next day receipt in hand and explained that the cord was not working. I would have been fine with another cord or a refund and the response was, "we're a small business. How am I supposed to make money if I give out refunds and exchanges." I was flabbergasted. Never before in my life had someone at a company said something like that to me. They then tried to keep the cord to sell to someone else! There are many shops around do not be taken in by this place!

I love supporting local stores, however I will not return to this store. A few months ago my son started having charging problems with his Samsung S6 Edge. I figured out the usb port was the problem so popped into this store to request the part. He looked it up and ordered and said it should in tomorrow. I called in the next day and he said it arrived. When I showed up, it was the not the right part, I took my phone apart at the store to show him what I needed, he looked it up again and reordered. No problem. Again the next day I called in and he said it was there, when I showed up in the evening there was a sign that due to family emergency they closed early. So I came back the next day and asked about the family emergency out of concern, I was told they put that sign up when they want to close early. Should have been my first clue of their customer support. While picking up the part I asked if they also had a battery for the phone as my son was also complaining it was not lasting the whole day and it was already 2 years old at that point. So I bought their last S6 Edge battery for $35. Fast forward a two weeks and the battery suddenly started dropping from 70% charge to zero. I tried for a few days of charging and same result, online folks say this is a sign of a bad battery. I called in as the battery was only two weeks old and he said bring it in. So I come in and tell him what's going on, he says he remembers me and then tells me they don't offer warranty for parts customers put in as I could have damaged the part or shorted it out. I reply, it worked fine for two weeks, if was shorted or damaged then it would never have worked properly. I request him to show me the policy anywhere in the store that says there is no warranty for customer installed parts. He can't and he won't replace the battery. He offered no help except to charge me for a new battery and installation for $70. He fully blamed me and basically it couldn't be a battery problem. I asked him to reconsider and he says he will call me back tomorrow after he speaks to the owner. Needless to say, I did not hear back from them. I ordered a new battery off Amazon for $20 and phone works great. Making up store policies on the spot, blaming the customer and not providing warranty for your parts is absolutely terrible customer management. I'll find a more reputable store in the future. It's clear from the response that the owner doesn't understand how batteries work. When a battery drops from a suddenly from certain level consistently to zero, it means the cells are defective. The ribbon cable is in perfect condition, the new battery is working perfectly fine. I still have the old battery and offered to show it to the technician to examine but he refused. I was absolutely not told there was no warranty for installing the battery myself. I did not ask you to warranty my work, just the battery. All i requested was a replacement battery, I did not ask anyone to do the work for me - it was not difficult at all to do. I've been working on electronics for over 20 years. Your technician told me you wanted to leave early, no one was sick. That frankly shocked me, if was someone was ill, who wouldn't be sympathetic, but that was NOT what your technician said to me. BTW, I buy my car batteries from Canadian Tire and install them myself, when someone went wrong with it, I took it back to them and they tested it and gave me a replacement. They never falsely accused me of damaging it. You wouldn't even look at your own battery. There is nothing in your store that states your policy nor was it communicated to me. The usb board was more difficult and fragile piece to install and I did that perfectly.

Went their for a screen repair for my Iphone 5s a while back, and I would say that they have a very fast and reliable customer service, as I got my phone back 35 minutes after I gave them my phone for the repair. Furthermore I would say that they are one of the best technicians shop's here in Oakville, as I've been to other technician shop's for other repair, but they had a very slow service. Overall I would say that they are one of the best technician shop's here in Oakville, and I would recommended others to come here if they have need for any repair's for their electronics.

The gentleman who runs the store who helped me out was great. I went in with my wifes old iPhone5c that she had dropped and the screen had come away from the body. I had phoned several repair stores to try and get an idea of how much it would cost to put the phone back together. I was given quotes all over the place from needing to replace the whole screen and battery, to we can just press it back together again. Not knowing if the battery was still good I went to ERC as they said they were not charging for unnecessary diagnostics. When i took it in, they looked at the phone and said it it might be the battery that has expended when the phone dropped and that is what caused the front glass to come off the cae. I was quoted $50 for a replacement battery. I said sure and he took my number and said he would give me a call when it's done later in the day. I got a phone call about 3 hours later and he told me that the battery looked to be fine (not swolen) and asked me if I wanted him to keep the same battery or replace it regardless. Very impressed that they didn't simply just try and scam me for parts unneeded. The phone was ready when i came and they even took the time to help me get the phone re-setup. will recommend them as a good place to get your phone fixed

Tobias was amazing!! Very friendly and courteous and honest. He fixed my problem in 2 minutes. Another repair place quoted me over $500. Tobias didn't charge me anything. I would highly recommend his services to anyone who needs cell phone or computer repair.

Scammer! Very incompetent, and sketchy staff. They treat you like an idiot and think they can just rip you off, lie to you assuming they know more than you and that you wont find the truth. My daughter went here to fix her speaker problem on her Samsung phone last month, which was told only would take a few hours, when she went to pick it up later that day, they told her they are just putting it back together, lying to her in her face and handing her the phone back pretending to have fixed it. When she took it home she realized it still hadn't been fixed and the warranty stickers were still in tact on the phone, proving it was never opened. Unless they are fixing phones with a magic wand. But, there is more my wife who had gone into their other location in Burlington had a similar problem with her ipad which was repaired for the screen only to find out they broke the power button cable and the power button and volume button stopped working. She took it back the next day and they kept giving it back to her saying they fixed it. This has given back twice to them and both times we discovered that it wasn't touched after the screen was fixed as the dust and fingerprints on the inside of the screen would stay in the same spot even though it was asked to be cleaned when the are fixing what they broke.
