I am very frustrated with the customer service from True speed as of late. A few months ago I noticed slow speeds and because I signed up for one of the fastest packages called to see if there was a problem. When I did I chatted with the employees and was told that I was actually on the slowest and smallest package by mistake and paying for the largest one. They apologized and told me to make up for this problem would be giving me a full refund for the months of service I have recieved. I was so happy with this customer service and raced to everyone how amazing this business was to not only make up for their mistake but to go the extra way! A month later I recieved an invoice and called to clarify that I had a large credit on my account- when speaking with the employee said "ohh yeah I remember you with the nearly 600 dollars credit! Oh yes that will be applied we just send invoices regardless and you'll get a receipt very soon, and I did. My husband caught today that on the credit card we were charge twice this month for it and I called to clarify again- this time being told no. That it was a misunderstanding and the only credit I would be receiving was 75.00 and some of that even was used to apply the new package- the package that it should have been all along! I feel unsatisfied and mislead. I also feel terrible that I told countless people what an amazing customer service they had... When I was clearly very wrong.

Don,t buy into their mesh service its great when it works but that isn,t often and complaining doesn,t do any good i have been assured they will look into it and get it working but such is not the case i bought into it for the summer i won,t be so foolish next year. Extremely poor customer service. If you try to contact them you will not get an answer because what you will be told is that they are busy helping someone else. If you make the mistake too call sales they will hang up on you. Keep bouncing back and forth and no one takes ownership. I was sent to Bell with the issue as it was supposed to be the line that has an issue...after everything, the modem is a defect. Thanks Truespeed for wasting my time and taking my money.

Final update (June 2021). The outages I was experiencing were due to the modem. Technicolor TC4350 was the issue. I had to fight for months to get a different brand. After having a Hitron for 6 months, I haven’t experienced the outages. If you are having issues with the cable internet, check your modem. If it’s a TC4350, that’s your problem. Truspeed didn’t seem to believe me, so the 2 modems I had are probably still in circulation. In fact, they were upset it took me a couple weeks to return the modems the two times I had to. Hope this helps! I’ve been a customer for 9 months. After a few months I started experiencing outages on a weekly basis, usually lasting an hour..give or take. I’m now experiencing the 3rd consecutive Sunday evening outage, and I expect this to be an all-nighter again. This is also now the 5th outage in the past 7 days. I have zero trust in the reliability of this service at this point. It might be a coincidence, but this is 5 out of 6 NFL games I’ve missed since last Sunday. Whatever it is, I’m looking elsewhere. REPLY EDIT: I have been in contact, I get two responses: "Unplug your modem and plug it back in" and the same one you gave: "there are no outages". I can assure you I'm not calling you to report outages that aren't happening. Your technical support have admitted to at least 3 outages in the last 2 weeks, so it only stands to reason that there is an issue, especially since I continue to experience outages on a regular basis. I just want the service I'm paying for.

I was with a number of other providers over the last 10 years but I was never happy. The service was bad or the price was too high. Not with TrueSpeed. I have been a customer for the last 2 years and they are one of the best companies I have dealt with. I have an IP phone and internet. Any time there was an issue they were on top of it right away. even when the issue was caused by me they were happy to help. I would recommend these guys to anyone looking for a great reliable and friendly service provider.

Horrible Sales agent. I'm not even with this company. A door to door sales rep for the company came by and when we repeatedly told him we weren't interested, he started to swear and then insult us before telling us he makes $2000/week and how much do I make? I pay 108 dollars a month for supposedly the highest speed internet wich is suppost to be 120 but yet when I do internet speed test with nothing running I only get about 40- 70 download on a good day and half my friends pay like 30 40 dollars and have 175 download speed while running stuff

My internet is often down and usually over the weekend. Which means. No internet phone or jetflicks which is all i have. Last time down i called 3times had no call back and when fijally connecting they suspended my account dueto a change in billing. I paid my monthly early this month but Decided to suspend my account without so much asa phone call. Paid full month in advance upon finally finding out the proboem and continue to wait for service going on 3 days now. I use my interhet for work. Phone. And entertainment and find this company so unreliable. Even afterdown several times fir days they neger even gave me a free month to compensate for paid use for no service????

we just moved to an area not serviced by our former ISP so we chose Truespeed. There were issues on start up but the staff did not stop until the issues were completely resolved! The staff are AMAZING and go above and beyond! It seems my issues are fixed now, yipee!!! My husband and I switched to Truespeed about 6 months ago. We had spent years with a big named company, paying over $120 a month for terrible internet. We couldn’t watch Netflix and browse Facebook without what we were watching having to stop and buffer. Every few months or so we would receive flyers for Truespeed in the mail and would talk about calling and switching, but never did. One day we were driving through Brockville and passed by Truespeed. I told my husband to pull in and it was the best choice ever! We met with an incredibly helpful woman who told us what services were available in our area. We went in looking at one service and came out with a cheaper and faster service than we thought we would get! And did I mention that our new internet service with Truespeed is 3 TIMES FASTER than what we had before?!? And at only $70 taxes in for unlimited FAST internet is amazing! We love Truespeed and their friendly, professional service! We recommend them to all our family and friends! Highly recommend!

Owner : I came on here to edit the score, as promised, if my connection situation was fixed, and noticed your response. Between telling me i didn't order a router because i wanted to use my own, and telling me that i didn't call tech support, i will increase the stars since i have been assisted and my connection is now adequate. "Ellen", was very professional and courteous, but she must have mistaken me, i did not even own a router, i was trying to ask about going with my own MODEM , that had a router included. I changed my mind and agreed with her suggestion when she informed me that if i DID go with my own modem, there would be a $70 connection fee. So i said ok lets do it. I didn't even go buy a router until i called and was told my account did not include one, and was advised to ensure it was an AC router if i did go get one... Again, seems to be a simple misunderstanding to me. EDIT : Anyways, to the editing, the situation has been resolved, the staff was very helpful in assisting me with my concerns, speeds are more than acceptable, thank you!

Everything started out good when we got the service approximately 4 years ago. As of lately I am becoming increasingly frustrated with the speeds that we are getting for 112 dollars a month. I don’t know anything about providing internet service but I feel as though we should be able to sit and watch a movie on Sunday without having to try and load it for over an hour. We are lucky to get working internet about 50% of time right now. Not sure if it’s a covid thing or what but it is frustrating. Other than that, the company is good.

Given the comments of a few here and my own personal experience, this business has a rather unsavory habit of placing blame for problems on clients and arguing, despite evidence to the contrary, that the problem is at the client end rather than owning up to the fact and making amends. Nothing to do with a cancelled account. This behavior and that the owner publicly calls out previous customers for non-payment, should be a glaring red flag to anyone considering using them as an internet provider. FYI .. Positive reviews can be fabricated, in the same way negative ones can.

Monthly issues with having to call support to be bounced around from one person to the next and no one ever knows what's happening. If you can find any other provider I suggest staying as far away from truespeed as possible.

Options are limited when it comes to issues with Cogeco's infrastructure, but this is not their fault. I have very good uptime, and get good speeds to most places, too. Truespeed Internet is absolutely the worst company I have ever dealt with. After over a year and a half of being a loyal customer, when I did have a service outage, they blamed Cogeco, while claiming I was unable to speak to Cogeco directly to resolve the issue. When I let Truespeed know I would be going with Cogeco directly, they blocked my number and refused to refund the remaining days left in my billing cycle. The owner of the Company is also a bully. Reading his responses to the other negative feedback has been very telling. Your response is hilarious and 100% fabricated. Seek therapy. You didn't "fire" me as a client I requested disconnecting my service when your employee repeatedly blamed Cogeco. Seriously, seek therapy

OK, here's the thing, this company not only has the very best staff and customer service, (and I mean being able to talk to actual people), but also the best high speed internet service at the most reasonable cost. recommended truespeed for my mom because the reviews were so great and all i can say is i deeply regret it. My mom sat all day at home on the scheduled day for internet and cable and no one showed up and no one called letting her know that they were unable to make it. Now there is an issue with the cable and its not working and she has to drive the part to Brockville, when she lives in Kingston. If truespeed is hooking up this service and hasn't done it correctly shouldn't they be the ones picking up and dropping off the correct parts? very disappointed.
