They fixed my laptop very quickly (within the same day!) and for a pretty reasonable price (considering that the problem with it was bigger than I had hoped... hard drive crash!). Now it's running very smoothly again. The man who worked there also gave me updates over the phone after he had looked at the computer and gave me some options on how to proceed, which was much appreciated. Overall, it was very good service for the price, and I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them if you run into computer trouble.

As many other reviewers have said, James fixed a problem on my laptop at no charge. It is clear that he is extremely knowledgeable about computers, and if I ever have anything go wrong with my computer again, I would not hesitate to return. His rates are quite reasonable. VCV Computers is the BEST! They know computers and they don't overcharge. They've also kept my "oldest" computer running as well even though there are no more motherboards for it made here in Canada because of how old it is. But he orders parts from China and they're not very expensive. I've been going there for years. Great work guys!!

Vancouver best kept secret in the Computer Repair world… When looking to get my 5 y old laptop repaired I got the same answer at 4 repair stores: it was most likely coming from a failing graphic chip that was part of the motherboard, there was no way to repair it. But @ VCV Computers on Commercial I heard a completely different approach: yes they could repair it, they actually have a special tool to extract the chip and insert a new one. After 24h I could pick up my repaired laptop thoroughly cleaned inside out, looking and working as new! Cheers!

I am an idiot when it come to technology. I started out ok...kept up with the changes when they were just a few a year....but that was 20 years ago and these days I admit I am lost....and there is nothing more frustrating than having your prime means of communication not available because you are a lost idiot. James and his VCV repair centre was recommended to me by a trusted business associate so I decided to give it a try and I have been walking through that door now for 3 years...for all my technology needs. James is an honest business man with integrity who tells you the truth and makes sure that things get fixed the way they need to. I would recommend him to anyone, anywhere in the vicinity of Vancouver who needs to trust the person who is repairing their lifeline to the rest of the world. You will not find a better business model or a more decent business man in Vancouver.

Paul was great and took the time to explain and re-explain laptop liquid damage to me on the phone when I didn't understand the first time. Turnaround time was super quick, and they had taken photos of the internal specs mid-fix so James could show me where the damage of my coffee spill was and where/how they cleaned and fixed my motherboard. Reasonable pricing for the good quality and quick, honest, professional service.

I went inside hoping to have my laptop fixed as it wasn't charging. James was very knowledgeable and checked the laptop for free which I was surprised as some places charge to have it checked. James also fixed it as it was the port problem. He also didn't charge that much either!!! Great place and I would definitely recommend! I am also thinking of purchasing an used refurbished computer from him in the future. Thanks James!

I had a bad experience with this business. My HP laptop was immobilized by a Microsoft Windows 10 update at a point when I was completely overwhelmed with work. (I'm a non-techie computer layman, it wasn't something I could figure out on my own.). I brought my computer over and James got it to start up again. Not only did he never tell me what he did to the computer, he charged my $80+ after taxes and told me that if I had the same problem (which was never defined), I could not bring back the computer without paying again. The next time Windows tried to install the update, the problem recurred. All along, all I needed to do was call Microsoft support (for free) and get their help to re-install Windows 10. James must have known this, but he saw me as a one-time only customer and wanted to get $80 bucks. I regularly have to get paid help with computers, and he was right about me being a one-time customer. If it's an emergency, this business might be your only option, but if you have time to take it to a better business, do it.

I came in to get my laptop repaired a while ago. i had a minor issue and my laptop wasn't able to charge, when removing the port you used a heat gun which melted components on the motherboard and now my laptop is completely broken 1600 $ down the drain because of incompetence
