Amazing customer service and the team went above and beyond to help me with my computer needs.
Great friendly neighbourhood repair store! They fixed my laptop a few months ago for a decent price and are on hand whenever I need to pop in for smaller issues.
I was looking for a laptop to edit video and the staff helped me find exactly what I needed. I appreciated how they backed up their information with evidence. For instance, when they were trying to convince me to skip a certain model, they showed me what the keyboard felt like, and after I tried it, it was obvious they were right. I haven't had any problems with my MacBook so far. Thanks guys!
expensive for some easy tasks do not recommend
Liquids were spilled on my wife's laptop and we throught it was a goner, it was acting all funky, fan running loud, taking forever to power up. We took it in to PC Galore on 4th ave. in Kitsilano, the next morning and gave it to Larry to fix it and SHAZAM! it works great. THANK YOU Larry and PC GALORE. You guys are fantastic!!! Highly recommend to anyone with your computer MAC and PC needs. Keep up the great work guys.
I took my macbook air in today ( i spilt coffee on it and the keyboard and pad was not functioning ), greg had it diagnosed in less than an hour, and fully repaired that day! `super impressed with the work and i will be going back as soon as i mess up and break something again. thanks guys
I am ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTED with this place. I have NEVER been treated so horribly anywhere EVER. I simply went in and made a request to sell a simple acer computer. Not a fancy piece of equipment or complicated by any means. The guys that dealt with me were NOT friendly or informative at all. I was told that I would receive my $$ in a day or 2 by e transfer when they "have a chance to look at It" I did not feel appropriately taken care of at all but decided to give them a chance. When I phoned today to ask when my $$ would be ready.....they hadnt even LOOKED at it but would "call me later" . When I even attempted to express my dismay I was instantly met with "come and get your computer" I did so immediately and again told them how disgusted I was. I was then told "Make sure you never come back " This is the most vile and disgusting business I have EVER set foot in.
PC Galore is awesome. Experienced, competent, honest.
Best place ever for anything computer. Service is excellent and everybody that works there is knowledgeable and ‘user friendly’. My first choice and go to place for all things computer
Came here to drop off a package for FedEx but apparently they're no longer a FedEx Depot though... Should probably update that on Google maps Didn't want to tank their reviews, just wanted to spread awareness
I have never experienced worse customer service. In short, I wasted $150 and lost 2 days while these guys wasted my time. I needed to backup 300GB worth of video footage, so I went in to purchase external hard drives, asking they be programmed for a Mac with a USB-A to USB-C transformer (new mac, no USB-A inputs). $150 and about 45 min of time to get it all set up. Got home, they didn’t work— lights turned on but nothing came up on my mac. Went back the following day, where they confirmed the transformer was part of a bad batch they received. To simplify the process, I asked whether I could return the external drives & transformer and instead have them upload my 300GB of files to a google drive. They said it was fine— I would give them access to the folder, they would charge me for the time to set it up, which aligned with the minimum hourly of $100 and would get the job done. I could use my credit, no problem. I gave them access to the file through the emails they provided. First the store email, then they requested I share with associate’s personal email too. We also ran through storage available in my google drive (was showing 5TB, so enough for the upload). They estimated it would be done by the following morning. Things we’re looking up. I received a call about 4-5 hours later saying the storage had ran out, asking that I come in to check what was going on from my account which had higher permissions. When I arrived, instead of trying to figure out the issue by logging into my account, they said that I had to leave my computer there for them to upload the files for me from my account. I said it was a pretty expensive price tag to just be using their internet, since part of the convenience was that I could access my computer during the upload time. They said they could no longer use their account (either emails they had provided) because they couldn’t confirm whether the files were “nefarious” and that they didn’t imply that, but they just couldn’t know for sure. Why this wasn’t an issue 5 hours previously when we first discussed the set up beats me. They couldn’t explain it either. Again, looking to streamline, I proposed giving them access to my account from their computer to complete the upload. They said they couldn’t complete the upload unless I left my computer and they wouldn’t be using their own computers. Leaving my laptop with them was simply not an option because I need to work. So instead I had to figure something else out. To top it all off, when we processed the bill, they charged me the full credit. When I asked about the $100 charge and them refunding me for the faulty transformer they sold me, they said they had to apply that credit because they spent more time than anticipated to set up the upload. Even though only 15GB of 150GB of files were uploaded. So, in conclusion— the files weren’t uploaded, I left with zero hardware, wasted 2 days visiting the store 3 times, and they milked me for $150. I interacted directly with the store manager, who didn’t provide any kind of problem solving or compromise, or interest that I had a positive customer experience. They are incompetent, unorganized and unable to solve customer needs. A pretty useless business if you ask me.
I had the worst experience with pc galore, I wanted to sell my laptop and the guy at the counter gave me a very low, but fair price. First of all not only did it take a week to review one simple laptop, but a week or more later got a call from the owner saying that he would not pay me the promised amount but would reduce it by $150. He said I should take it or leave it. Given how much time they had wasted of mine just to later not give me the amount that was promised on my receipt order was eye opening and a food lesson learned. Please go elsewhere if you want to sell your laptop for a fair price, and keep this place as the last resort for all your needs.
These guys are really solid techs. No nonsense work, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. They're prompt and professional, without any hoops to jump through.
Smart. Very smart
Great place
This place looked like maybe they were going to be great, and then backfired horribly on us. It started when my partners mac computer died on us. And she was writing her final essays for school on it, so we just need to transfer files off the hard drive from the Mac to my PC. We went in at about noon on a Monday. My partner needed to finish her essay for Tuesday morning, and the guy said it wouldn't be ready until the afternoon on Tuesday. Which was fine. He burnt the files to a disc and we were able to use my work computer. The guy was nice. We paid when we picked up the disc. It was a mistake. We went in on Tuesday to pick up the PC. It was a different guy, he hadn't even started working on it yet. He said that he took it apart, and was just about to install the software. Except, the other guy had to take it apart to get the files off to burn them to a disc. So that was his first lie. He told us that maybe it would be ready by the end of the day. So once again my partner had to do her homework at my work. Very inconvenient, Especially when you've paid a guy a hundred bucks to have it done. When we finally went in on Wednesday morning. It was ready. I politely complained, saying that we weren't satisfied, that this wasn't ready when they said it was going to be. Also, my PC now starts wanting to run a disc check everytime. They tried to say it must have been like that before, which it wasn't. Anyways, long story short, they didn't apologize, they took our money and ran, they were lazy and rude. I've never written a negative review in my life. My advice, cut off your hands before trusting these guys.
I have brought my computer to these guys twice. Both times had a good experience. In my last visit my computer unfortunately would have cost more to repair than buy a new one but the team managed to get all my files and data off my completely dead computer, recommended a new machine and then transferred onto my new computer. Super time and cost efficient in their work, also communicated effectively throughout the process. Hopefully I dont need them again anytime soon - but if i do, will definitely be back.
My Son and I went to PC Galore today to inquire about trading in our laptops. Greg and Larry were real kind. Greg said he would know by tomorrow late afternoon and how much they would be appraised for a trade in. We had popped over to the store next door and then came back to ask a question. Since we were still there he decided to give us a quick appraisal. I really appreciated their kind and considerate service. I also appreciated their efforts in creating physical distancing in their small store.
Needed an adapter to setup some home office equipment - the guys didn't have it in stock but ordered it for me and rang me 24 hours later to come and collect. Thanks!
The most professional computer repair shop in Vancouver!
Amazing customer service. They treat their customers with respect and professionalism! Just sad because the Alienware I went to buy yeterday was already sold. And the MSI too! hehe. But they look at you in the eye and say the real thing. You can trust them! Go with no fear. Good professionals!
I had such an awkward experience at this shop. The employees there made me feel like I was bothering them or asking something crazy of them when I went in and kindly asked if it were possible to have my phone’s cracked screen replaced. After the first strange couple minutes of conversation, I was told it would cost $130. Although this price seemed pretty high, I agreed. I was then told to return in 1.5h to pick up my phone. I returned 2h later, just in case they needed a bit more time. Once again, I was greeted by the same, seemingly irritated, employee. I kindly told him I was there to pick up my phone and I was just told, “I’m not done with it yet” accompanied by a blank stare. I understand that things can get in the way and things don’t always go as planned. I then asked how much longer they expected it to take and once again, accompanied by an empty stare, I was told that they were having difficulties removing the broken screen, were unsure of how much longer the service might take and somehow made me feel bad about it although I was paying for this service that they apparently offer. When I realised that the employee had no intention of giving me a time estimate, I just told them I’d return the following morning which they responded with a shrug and an “okay”. Unfortunately, I would not recommend going here due to poor customer service.
Again, I would like to share my delightful experience with this wonderful repair shop. Both Larry and Greg are very helpful, polite and charming. They worked to resolve my issue and I am very happy! Thank you PC Galore!????
I just had the most bizarre customer service experience... I went in to ask a couple of questions to see where I was at with a few non-functioning MacBooks, and was treated to about 10 minutes of condescending attitude. After plugging in the laptop and letting it boot halfway, he pulled the plug before the finder came up. My problem was that it would boot part way, then stop. I asked if we could re-boot it all the way to make sure it was working, and he got very confrontational, as if I was trying to scam him out of his time. (Which I did pay for, I guess asking questions puts you on the clock without them letting you know). He does get one star for knowing his Macs, but I can't recommend the customer service. Definitely lost any future business from me.
Ben helped me out in a pinch with great advice and a great deal during the last hour of business on the weekend. Highly recommend giving these guys a shout!
The team at PC Galore really helped me out when I was in a bind. My hard drive crashed and appeared to be unrecoverable. They didn’t give up and kept me apprised of their progress. In 48 hours they were able to recover all the data, provide me with tips to be more efficient with my data storage and even let me borrow a laptop bag to carry everything so I could walk home without more drama. Thank you PC Galore! You guys are top-notch!
They diagnosed the problem with my laptop within an hour, explained the issue clearly, suggested a fix that would get me back up and running at no extra cost. Perfect, thank you!
Had a strange computer issue I couldn't diagnose (even though I build computers as a hobby and am experienced), and thought I would have to pay $100s of dollars for part replacements. The techs identified the issue, got everything working, and charged very fairly too - even though the computer was worked on by 2 techs over 2 different days, they only charged me for a single hour of work. Fantastic experience, would definitely go back again.
Excellent customer service. Made a very big transaction extremely smooth and comfortable. Trustworthy team and very professional. Thanks Greg!
I have dealt with the team at PC Galore for many years...they are friendly, and knowledgeable about the world of computers etc..i recommend them to anyone who needs assistance with their computer...
I have been dealing with PC Galore for years. Their technical department is great and very professional. Their products are very good. Their service is excellent!
DO NOT TRUST THIS BUSINESS TO DO ANY REPAIRS UNLESS YOU WANT TO BE SCAMMED!!! My experience with PC galore was an absolute nightmare and I would literally recommend anything else over this dump. Throwing your laptop of the Burrard St …
My computer had RAM issues and Larry was able to diagnose the problem quickly and called me the next day. He was honest and professional. I would highly recommend taking your computer to PC Galore if you have any software or malware issues. Second time going in Larry helped fix my mother's computer. She had an issue with her Mac's keychain and he was able to figure it all out in a timely fashion. Larry is the man!
The guy knows his stuff!
Went round to sell my computer equipment, Good Service imo Would recommend to others
The used firewall we purchased was exactly as described but what was really great was the post sale support. Ben was extremely helpful and responsive. I highly recommend PC Galore and will use them again in the future.
Great, friendly service matched with really reasonable prices. Can't go wrong with PC Galore. Will definitely use them again in the future.
I brought an old mac laptop that had crashed and the technician at pc galore did a wonderful job in taking the computer appart and retrieving the hard drive with all my data. I had brought the same laptop to a different shop many years ago and they had told me nothing could be done. Thank you PC Galore for your great service!
Before when the store was more museum looking, service and accountability was much better. Have dealt with big box stores- and generally like to support my local small business...However...bought a printer for 70$, got it home and it needed a cartridge -online cheapest was with tax $35.00...as it needed a new cartridge, returned to store, they did not have a colour one so gave me a B and white one, which still didnt fix the problem so have to go a big box store to remedy the situation...feeling very let-down. Realizing they did what they could...but still disgruntled...I will get over, but buyer beware. Just because they have a test page, try products before you leave the store...oh well NEXT small business
I had a deletion disaster with my laptop. PCGlare was able to undelete my disaster all for the minimum cost estimated. Very happy. Will use them again (hopefully not for the same mistake) and recommend this business to you.
The most professional computer repair shop in Vancouver!
Fun trip down memory lane.
Great experience. Fixed my computer problem in 24 hours for a very reasonable price.
my vpd friend suggests to contact pc galore i need a laptop - i have a hp with windows 7 ultimate the problem is google search will not search as before they changed the image shown now can you fix remotely as i am in a foreign country with no repair stores
I walked in and was not greeted at all. The owner was behind the desk. I was not approached at any point. So I left. My plan was to buy some accessories for my computer. Oh well. On to the next.
We have lived in Kits for over 20 years and have walked past this shop many times, never venturing in, until my iPod wouldn't function. Quick fix, no messing about. A very interesting array of tech gear and old Macs etc - will make time to revisit soon!

These guys are a wonderful - got my macbook back up and running after the guys at the genius bar told me that the best I could do was purchase a new one! Last week I went in because my lightening cable wouldn't plus into my phone and they fixed it on the spot! Wonderful neighbourhood resource!
They were able to solve a problem with the fan in my all in one ,whereas no one else seemed to have a clue. Professional, reasonable and know their business. I should have started with them instead of hours wasted with NCIX and Lee's.
PC Galore provided great customer centered care that inspired my trust. My experience of Larry's sincere attention makes Vancouver an even better place for me. I recommend them.
I have shopped here for all of my computer needs for over 20 years, sometimes commuting a great distance. I appreciate the value and help in having my specific computer needs met. I told the owners they must never retire! Thanks PC Galore!
These guys are honest genius. My C drive was full and my D drive relatively empty. I could no longer download anything anymore. I was stuck. Every morning it took about 5 full minutes to just get the computer started. Overnight they linked my 2 drives together and cleared up computer. It's like having a brand new computer but it has all my favorite software and precious files. Thank you so much Angele
Took all my old electronics for recycling.
I dropped off my PC to get some virus's cleared off and just get it cleaned in general. It took a day longer than they said it would but more importantly when I got my PC back there were registry files all over my desktop. They did a sloppy job and left system files on my desktop afterwards that I didn't know what to do with. Ended up having to fully reset my pc. Waste of money and time.
I was having a problem with my smartphone. Even the techies at London Drugs couldn't figure it out. It was a LD customer who suggested PC Galore. So I brought my phone down to the small office/workshop and after a few minutes he figured out what was wrong and fixed it. Then, when I asked him what I owed, he just waved his hand. All in all a very happy experience.
do you guys buy secondhand used laptops?
Great Results. I've used PC Galore for quick advice, small repairs and parts replacements over several years. They are knowledgeable and they share this readily. They have saved me a ton of money and, especially, time with their candid advice. Good advice is worth it. I have moderate IT abilities and can/will try to fix my own software and hardware issues. When I'm stumped, Larry at PC Galore almost always has the answer in seconds, vs. my hours. My take home lessons: see Larry sooner rather than later
I am trusting Larry to fix my laptop.
Professional, clear communication with no tech bull, accurate and sharp work. Larry and team found and fixed malware on my Mac. On my first visit, they provided clear advice on costs of fix, what would be done, and some encouragement to try it myself first, which I did. Cost was quite reasonable. I'd trust these folks to repair on time, with no bull and no over the top fees.
PC Galore has certainly become my "go to" place when I am having computer problems. Over many years I have found them to be very helpful and skilled at diagnosing and solving problems.
My life is 100% better now that I am not compelled to crawl under a network of desks each morning, like some Welch coal miner, in order to turn my computer on - now I do so like Dr. Evil might - by way of a nifty, space age button! This remote wonder was achieved in large part thanks to Larry - who runs PC Galore. He fixed my own botched wiring attempt that had ruined the LED light leaving virtually no wires at all to work with and seriously diminishing my beautiful “new” HP Pavilion - he wired everything up the proper way - all for the very economical price of $65!
My laptop needed an unexpected emergency repair. They had the parts in stock and were able to get it back to me the same day. Needless to say I was very thankful and impressed.
I dropped off my laptop to get a broken hinge fixed, he said it would be done same day, then he said he needs another day, tomorrow before 12, then I go at 12 and it's not ready, then when I finally pick it up later that day. They had lost my POWER CORD. I told him this was urgent as I work from home and I have projects depending on the timing. 0 Professionalism on there part. Also it was $250 for just a hinge fix. Won't be coming back here.
Great store! Great advice and used Apple and PC notebooks, laptops, etc. Buy, sell, trade, recycle.
After having my laptop for 10 days and charging me $120 I was told that my laptop couldn't be fixed and I needed to buy a new one. Then friend suggested a simple fix of buying a new hard drive for the laptop. Once that was installed the laptop ran as good as new. My friend saved me buying a new laptop and this company did nothing but waste my time and money.
As much as computer repair can be a pleasure, this shop was a really good choice for us. We are very happy with their communication, price and service. Highly recommended.
My name is Fredrick Fowler, I've been dealing with Greg and his friendly helpful staff, ever since the opened around the corner from my house. I was pleasantly surprised at the service that I received. I now live in Burnaby, but continue to deal with them, and will until one of us dies of old age. I've recommended them to many of my friends and clients. All of them have been as happy as I with their incredibly good service. One of my friends who also lives in Burnaby went there and remarked about the great service she'd gotten. I love to recommend them. I told Greg, in our last telephone conversation, that having owned several of my own businesses that there were too many complaint calls and too few complimentary calls, That's why I not only to the time to phone and thank them but am writing this to acknowledge their great service. Warmest Regards. Fredrick.
Quick turnaround and good work. Staff was very helpful in helping me to figure things out and to provide quotes for various options.
easy transaction, great product and reasonable price. was looking for this computer for a few weeks almost bought on lenovo website but decided to take one more crack at CL see if I could save a few bucks. Lo and behold there is was staring me in the face...the exact laptop I was about to buy. I called and worked out a deal with Greg....very friendly good service. Amazing computer thank you.
I took my laptop in with no idea of why it would not work and Larry within seconds figured out the problem and fixed it at a nominal cost. It was like magic!..great people....great experts!
I have been using PC Galore's services for many years, and I've never been disappointed. I've even gotten helpful advice over the phone several times. On at least one occasion, a lot of time and real persistence was needed to solve my problem. Most recently my tower PC computer was deemed to be on life support. Greg made good suggestions, and we came up with a solution. Thanks Larry and Greg!
The place was closed when I went there even though it says open on Sundays on their website but Ben came down to open to help me out. They even emailed me an apology. Top top top customer service. Thank you.
We have an older laptop that we use in our shop. The power cable was damaged and we needed a replacement...quickly. One call and PC Galore had a replacement in stock. Problem solved...and quickly. That's my kind of solution. Thanks!
Fantastic service. I brought in a mid 2012 Macbook pro that was so slow I was considering throwing it away; the guys at PC Galore told me all my options and ended up installing a new SSD. My laptop feels brand new, and now operates as faster than it ever has. Will for sure be coming back!
This shop is fantastic! I went in to get my computer checked out and they fixed it in 20 minutes right in front of me. They even showed me how to fix the problems I was having myself to avoid having to go in again. Super friendly and great value, definitely worth a visit!
A stellar review for this long-time star in Vancouver's tech firmament! I have been bringing my tech troubles great and small to PC Galore on 4th right near McDonald and tight parking is the only concern I've ever had. From pre-owned no-fail laser printers (they don't dry up and you don't have to buy useless colour cartridges you never use) to hackings, there is nothing this expert troupe of techs can't deal with. All with courtesy and charm, and a price tag that's easy to swallow! Thank you, Larry, and everyone else, for being the techs I can trust and afford! Always my port in a storm - or just everyday.
I highly recommend PC Galore. I bought a used computer here two months ago. After a few days, it started having some issues. I called the shop and they replaced it with a slightly better computer. This one's great- no issues- and I got it for a reasonable price. Larry was very helpful and professional. I believe you can trust him and the PC Galore team.
This place is not trust worthy they are scammers and don’t know how to properly fix electronics best to buy from a real store.
I had an issue with my Desktop computer - it wouldn't power up. Took it in without an appointment and got it back the same day. They couldn't really diagnose the issue other that to say it was likely just a power surge. They could have taken told me it was something that needed replacing, but didn't. Just paid the $60 and was a very happy customer. Wouldn't hesitate to recommend them.
Great service, Clear response over the phone, quick diagnostics and explanition for the situation with the spare parts and repair possible risks, options for the repair and no BS. Great and trustworthy guys. Wuold recommend doing business with them.
Need help with my iPhone (wasn’t charging) the fellow who helped me was very nice and did the work for FREE. Ever grateful. Would highly recommend.
???? ⭐️Dedication ⭐️Perseverance ⭐️Knowledge ⭐️Skill ⭐️Reliability These are well-deserved stars. Larry and Gregory worked hard to find a solution to my dysfunctioning computer, while their inventory was impacted early in the pandemic. Larry explained the potential solutions, and tried different options, after conferring with me. In the end, I came away with a working machine. I love how reliable these guys are, and how dedicated they are to finding solutions. No, not everything can be resolved, and if not, they are willing to suggest reasonable alternatives. Their willingness to help is comforting. I feel fortunate that this business is in our neighbourhood.
The folks at PC Galore were super helpful and quickly and creatively helped me resolve a problem with my laptop's audio.
