Reliable service, on time and on budget. I recently got caught in an online scam that gave access to my 2 laptops by an unwanted 3rd party . As someone who has a business that relies on having secure, operating computers, a set back can be costly. To get a 2nd opinion on my situation, I dropped into PC Doctor on the north shore in Kamloops and had a conversation with Rolf, the head technician (and someone that I've called upon for my computer needs a few times in the last 7 years). Rolf confirmed my worst fears and I agreed to take my laptops in for repair... Rolf promised both laptops back in a couple of days and gave me a minimum and maximum price... I am pleased to say that the repairs were done on time and at the minimum cost estimate... and I lost a minimum amount of precious time at my business. Thanks for the great service Rolf.

Quoted me with a reasonable price so I dropped it off at his place and within 24 hours, my laptop is back in my hands and working FLAWLESSLY! 11/10 service

I've given Abby PC Doctor five stars, and a written recommendation. I made an online purchase of a new desktop computer. My wife runs an old 1920 x 1080 HD monitor, and I wanted her to enjoy the "4K" visual experience. Buying a suitable 4K monitor was easy. However; I did my best to ensure that the new desktop had a graphics card strong enough to run 4K. No gaming; just videos; etc. So...we received the items. Hmmm. I still needed reassurance that the desktop ran 4K. (I did do my research.) I "let my fingers do the walking," and asked Daryl if the desktop I bought (online!) had 4K capability. Over two calls; he spent at least fifteen minutes diligently searching for the information I needed. There are several kinds of Radeon R5 graphics cards. However--which series is it?? The answer will tell us if the desktop runs 4K. Acer couldn't help. Nothing online. Nothing in the manual; or listed on the box. My deepest thanks to Daryl. He was busy; but didn't push me off the phone. He dug deeply; but was unable to find the elusive answer. This level of customer service is hard to find these days. If you need the services of a computer repair shop; Daryl at Abby PC Doctor will give you "five star" service. Thank you again Daryl! Much appreciated.

I bought a used HP touch screen laptop off line and it was great. Ran well, Graphics were amazing, pretty much a perfect fall around laptop for exactly what I needed. I went to bed watching Netflix on it and woke up the next day closing the lid. After being out all day I opened her up whni got home and low and behold there was a blue screen asking me for the administrator password. I tried all the ones that I had created and none of them worked. I looked up the problem and it was looking like it was something that was out of my skill level. I hoped on my phone and googled computer repair guys. I found Daryl aka Abby PC Doctor. He was very friendly on the phone and said he would more than likely be able to fix the issue and for what I though was a very reasonable price. It was also nice because this was a Sunday and he still answers his phone and even said I could drop it off up until 8pm that night. I tried but ended up having to go home due to a address mix up. He was kind enough to come to me and pick it up. Here’s the kicker though, it had snowed and the roads were horrible. The customer service he provided was above and beyond. That and he did it all at no extra cost. He only had it a day and had it figured out. We arranged to have me pick it up the next day and he took a e-transfer which made the whole experience super easy and very convenient. I would highly recommend him for your computer needs and give him the highest of scores on all aspects.

I smashed my laptop screen :( They were polite and courteous on the phone, prompt with getting me a repair quote, and fixed it quickly once the parts were in. Very professional, I'd use them again, although I hope I don't need to :)

Great service at a reasonable price. I took my laptop in to get it dissassembled and have the CPU fan cleaned. They did this plus checked the hardware and replaced the thermal paste. With tax it all cost only $46.75. The only downside is that they have your computer for a few days. I would have preferred if I could make an appointment and have my laptop back within the same day, but I understand with how this business is they can't really guarantee that. They were great at getting my laptop back within the 2-3 business days they promised though. All around great place.

My hard drive crashed. I had a year worth of family photos on the hard drive. They looked at it on the same day. They installed a new hard drive, recovered all my data and transferred it to the new hard drive. Great customer service, affordable price. Greatly recommend!

I dropped off a damaged USB to The PC Doctor on June 10th. He wasn’t able to fix it, which is totally fine. What is NOT fine is that I have been trying to get ahold of him for almost a MONTH to get my USB back that I gave him as a spare to transfer the recovered data to. I need this USB for work and this repeated ghosting behaviour is EXTREMELY unprofessional. I just want my stuff back! If anyone has an alternative phone number for him I would be grateful for it. UPDATE: Daryl has finally gotten back to me- he switched his phone number, but didn't have it on his website. He was after all able to recover my data on my USB, and for that I am grateful, but this whole experience was pretty frustrating.

My boyfriend went to PC Doctor earlier in September to get my Mac looked at, my hard drive failed 2 days before my final was due and they were quick to recover all my student files and my finals project, Rolfe was very very helpful with the diagnostic and Lucas was amazing and quick with recovering my data. They were both professional and took care of me when I most needed it. I was quoted $300-$500 for data recovery from another shop in Kamloops that deals with MAC computers and felt they were just after my money. PC Doctor fixed it for 3x as less than that. They have the best prices and best customer service. Very recommended and very helpful when it comes to diagnostics. I was able to hand in my final project on time and took a lot of stress off my chest. Thanks :)

Hard drive fried in my laptop, was worried they wouldn't be able to get all my data (pictures, music ranging all the way back to 2010, business documents) off the laptop. They managed to recover the files safely and transfer them to my hard drive for less than $100. Waited a little long for a diagnosis, but I am happy with what they accomplished. Thanks!

Ive been coming to these guys since 2006 or 2007 when i crashed my parents computer, hes fixed many things for me over the years, from tuning up my computer or upgrading hardware and/or software, to broken screen repairs, and most recently I bought my first macbook pro retina computer for cheap ( it was locked with a bios password hence its low price) every place i called first (because I thought daryl only dealt with PC's) said it was basicallly worthless, I should have called daryl first because he was able to bypass it and make like factory new again, saved my a$$ AGAIN lol. thank god daryl, ur litterally the best in the business!

We had our differences, but I would NEVER recommend this place. The company only accepts payments via cash, e-transfers to a preloaded credit card or gift cards. We sent an e-transfer, since we wanted a business write-off, in front of the owner / operator the day we picked up our repaired computer for $545.44. As we settled our transaction, I had mentioned that we gave the vendor a referral that same day, at which point the owner / operator reimbursed us $100 cash. The next day, the e-transfer was held by the bank at no fault of our own, which was not a surprise, as I had never sent this type of e-transfer before. Once notified of this matter by the vendor, I immediately contacted the bank asking for an update and / or release. Since it was a Saturday, I shared with the owner / operator that we would not hear back until Monday. On Monday, the vendor had zero patience in receiving a payment and this is when things escalated. We started being harassed by the owner / operator for a payment, so we offered to pay immediately by cheque or credit card, which was not acceptable. This harassment turned into threats to remotely lock our computer and / or expose our confidential info (SIN, banking info, etc.) and insults. To resolve this situation, we paid half of our invoice, which was revised to $500 for everyone's troubles, while agreeing to pay the other half at a later time. We realized the vendor did not return our hard drive. We paid the remaining amount owed and asked for our hard drive. The owner / operator misled us by giving us the wrong one, which could be someone else's confidential info. We still do not have our old hard drive, which is really concerning. Our laptop still has the same issues as before. I would avoid this business as they are extremely unprofessional. We have learned our lesson to only use trusted sources for our computer repairs moving forward as there is valuable info at stake. Note - The owner / operator can contact us to rectify the situation and we would be more than happy to oblige and update our post accordingly, but until then, be careful with this business.

Wow is all I can say...my two year old laptop used to take 5 min to boot up. Nick diagnosed and corrected some issues bringing it down to less than half the time. I came back when the new SSD arrived, he saved all my data did the install of the new SSD drive and my old laptop boots up in less than a minute now. The price was very very reasonable and saved me from upgrading and spending a lot of money on a new laptop. Highly recommended

The PC Doctor doesn’t just prescribe a band aid fix but nails the problem with the best honest, cost-effective solution for the customer. He fixed my 2009 black screen MacBook Pro problem with a 2-day turnaround. I came a second time with a "liquid spill" on the keyboard but we determined the cost in resuscitating was not justified. He recommended another Mac and was able to transfer all my data and the original desktop to my computer. If you want someone who just doesn't do their job bu but gets the job done to the best of their ability, I give the PC Doctor a 5-star+ recommendation.

Ive had 2 experiences with them so far, they couldnt find the power supply I brought in on the first when it was just recently bought and defective and needed to be returned, they took so long to find it that it could no longer be returned. The other time, they returned the pc without verifying everything was working, and it didnt get past a boot screen despite them saying it was tested and working. Free services both times, friendly staff, 3/5 stars
