My first review post ever because Aref has got great service comes right to your house is very knowledgeable about computers, I have a $5000 dollar rig and he had no problem fixing it wholeheartedly. Weeks later I was able to ask him for assistance over the phone and he was always there to help when needed. No more bringing cpu to the shop, lining up paying money and dealing with wait times or even leaving ur cpu with service people over night! A real good service here. Thanks Aref.

Very very good service. I broke my Apple Mac Book Pro laptop 2 days before my exam and when I contacted them they were able to fix it in just one and half days. Very speedy and very responsive. The quality is good and they also provide checkups to make sure the laptop is working well. Also they were able to deliver my MacBook based on my customized schedule very late in the night back to me. Both service and quality deserves a five star. They put apple Genius Bar to shame. 10/10 recommended.

Don't waste your time here, I definitely learned my lesson. I unfortunately made the mistake of going here and not reviewing all reviews. My computer crashed, they took FOUR days to install a new hardware and wouldn't answer any calls during that time. Now my laptop is lags and doesn't have the same running capacity. I brought it back and again had it for longer than anticipated, saying there's nothing wrong with it and that there's a network problem. FUNNY, there wasn't a problem with my network before! They're probably going to say they have no recollection or record of my business there, just like the other negative reviews. Talk about gaslighting. Bad business, unorganized, bad customer service. Never again. Like I said, I learned my lesson. $300 for what? A laptop that doesn't run the way it did before.

Aref picked my water-damaged laptop up within 2 hours of me calling and had it back to me with a new motherboard in less than 24 hours. He asked me what my upcoming deadlines were and worked to my schedule. I have never experienced such fabulous service from anyone in the tech world! It was also a much cheaper fix than I expected. I hope I don't break my laptop again, but if I do I will call Aref again!

I built my own PC and I was having some issues with possibly the GPU and wasn't able to pinpoint it, so I had to bring it in. Arkan told me that within 3 days he would give me a call and update me about what's going on or if they need more time. No call/update within the 3 days. This lack of communication was not a great start but I understand that they could have been really busy. I called the store on Dec 14th they gave me the number for the tech (Arkan) so I could contact him. This store/Arkan never called me to update me, I had to call them every time, even when they said they would call me back, they wouldn't and I would have to continue calling them. Arkan would go back and forth on saying "we can fix this" and "we can't fix this, you might want to see if the gpu is under warranty". I basically had a back and forth with him until I picked up my PC on Dec 18th. This store has a few technicians and it looks like they don't have a efficient way to communicate with one another in order to have customer efficiently dealt with. When I picked up my desktop, they forgot to put back my power cord in the box and when they put one back it wasn't even mine (I didn't realize until I got home). I will not be returning to get my power cord because this location is out of the way for me, but I went here based on a friend's recommendation. The original screws on my tower were not put back (it's not a big deal at all but the details do matter if you want to be a 5 star business). TLDR: This is a an average computer repair shop that doesn't seem to be organized. Lacks communication with customers. 3/5 stars because they ran the diagnostic and did what any repair shop is capable of.

Here's what I'd advise future customers: 1.Make sure they have your needed parts before booking with them. It took a week for my computer to be repaired, when it really only should have taken a couple of days maximum. 2. Get your quote in writing. The fellow who gave me a quote on the phone was never in the shop during any of my 3 visits, and no one else knew what they should charge. It really felt like they were pulling numbers out of their bums. Even though it caused me lots of stress (a student without her laptop), no one was willing to offer me a discount for my time and trouble. They did offer a really old Lenovo laptop as a loaner once it became clear that mine wouldn't be ready in time. That was fine except all my course assignments and notes were inaccessible. And I had to make the trek into Vancouver to pick it up, after being initially assured that I could use their Richmond affiliate for my dealings (after my first visit to drop off my laptop at the Burrard store). 3. Make it clear to them that you expect updates at each stage. No one ever contacted me to discuss the anticipated delays. I had to chase them down. Ultimately, my laptop was repaired to my satisfaction but it was a lot of hassle for a relatively simple repair.

I certainly I don't recommend this business services. I took my expensive laptop in for a wobbly hing fix. It seems a simple repair. Once I got my laptop back, the webcam wasn't working, either was the microphone, the lower right corner of the screen had a large dark area. The owner of the business doesn't want to take responsibility for the damages caused. He kept showing me a document I signed when I brought my laptop in, in essence they don't take any responsibility regarding any collateral damages they may cause during the repair. I have never seen such a disregard for a customer rights.

BC Computer Repair, you are the best in the business!! Two visits to the Apple Store, three Apple support calls could not solve what Aref at BC Computer Repair could! I had issues transferring thousands of pictures from a way outdated MacBook Air to my IPad Pro. There was an apparent problem with my IPad hardware which made it difficult to transfer my pictures the customary way, a problem which Apple Care and Apple store missed but through perseverance and hard work, Aref solved. Hard drive on my old iMac (2010-2011) had died. Apple could not help me because it was an old model, so I called On Site Computer Repair Service. Aref came and renewed the hard drive on the same day I called! He is very knowledgeable and professional. Whole process was done within 40 min! My iMac is working perfectly again. I also had problems with my Magic Mouse (bluetooth not working). Aref let me borrowed extra mouse he had! I was amazed! Thank you so much for helping!!

Took my laptop to BC Computer Repair with water damage, they fixed it for a pretty high price( which I would not mind paying for a good job), however, my laptop was not working properly, the screen was freezing all the time and the annoying sound of notifications was going on and off endlessly, so I brought it back the second time and after two days of "testing" they said that they found nothing after their own repair and there was no problems with it. I took it back home and the problems continued so I took it there for the THIRD time when they told me they will fix it and properly test it, so I don't have to go back again. I left it there again for two days. I came home and the sound of notifications was going off and on again when I specifically told them that this needs to be fixed. I am not able to watch or listen to anything on my laptop. So if you want your laptop to be normally fixed without going there and back for 100 times, I would recommend you find a different computer repair service. I need my laptop for my job and this brought me so many issues financially and emotionally, so I really regret my decision of going there. One of the most awful experiences I have ever had.

I had a spill on my laptop and had a deadline so I wanted to find other services aside from the Apple store downtown who would be helpful and time efficient. Most importantly I understand repairs from technicians are pretty pricey in the city and on site computer repairs gave me the best price. For those who aren’t able to afford technical repairs these are the guys who are super understanding and will help find the best option for you. The gentleman who helped me (Aref) was very communicative and always kept me in the loop on the condition of my laptop and what needed to be done with my MacBook Pro. The best part was that they even picked up my laptop from where I lived on the same day I called! Overall I was really happy with the service and the time that was spent. It literally only took less than 3 days. Usually at Apple it would take at least 2-4 weeks! If ever I need to do repairs again I’m definitely going to these guys for help! A huge thank you again (:

But after my great experience here, I can confidently recommend this place. I first came here to get the battery in my laptop replaced. They ordered one of the best-quality batteries available, and the cost for labour was fair. I also had some questions about upgrading some other components, but Ahmad had a look at told me that everything else was fine, so no need for more work. So, 100% honest and no upselling. I came here a second time after spilling water on my laptop. (Note, if you have a spill, turn your laptop upside down for four hours to dry, and bring it in for service ASAP!) A different technician did a check. He found a lot of water still inside, and bit or corrosion. He did a thorough disassembly and cleaning of all components, and said it was good that I brought it in right away, and that everything will work fine because the corrosion was only minor and could be cleaned. ... Another great experience. Highly recommend this place!

I do not know where to start from. Honestly, this is the best repair store in town! I brought all my 4 laptops, both Mac and Windows and it got fixed, despite Apple store saying that it can not get fixed and I have to buy a new one. These guys are very professional, quick, and do a great job. I had no issues with my laptops since. They are functioning like new. I also changed my processor to a faster one and it’s such a huge difference. I would only get my devices fixed there. Totally worth driving all the way there from Surrey. Besides, my iPhone screen was broken and shatter and Arkan did an amazing job replacing it under 20 mins with no issues and it now seems like brand new phone. These guys CAN FIX ANY ISSUE and you do not have to buy a whole new computer/ laptop. MUST check them out! Outstanding customer service!

I took in my iMac mini to have some extensive work and data recovery done and I cant say enough good things about the whole process. Ok long review here, trying to save you money and time Was told I would get a free estimate when dropping my laptop off. Touched base with the guy for a few days and then he tells me the repair is done and it is fixed but the cost is $450. I question it and the price drops to $300. I got upset about not being asked before the repair is done and he offers to “un-do” the repair for free. When I asked about what was broken he didn’t know because he shopped the work out to another company. I then dealt with the company that actually did the repair and the price went down to $180. The computer did get fixed, but the whole experience was irritating and a runaround. If you look into his positive google reviews you will see that many are from accounts that have left only one review. Edit: In response to the owners angry, confusing accusation of me being a “marketing scammer”. I included screen shots of our conversation to back up my review. His behaviour demonstrates exactly the type of person your dealing with. Second edit: The owner has deleted his original angry response and is now pretending he haven’t heard of me. As you can see from my screen shots he was contacted, and we had a long conversation about it. I don’t judge people by the mistakes they make, only on how they choose to deal with the ones they make. Save yourself unnecessary drama and take your hard earned money to someone with integrity. Check out his reviews, lots 1 review 5 star gushing reviews. Any 1 star critical reviews gets a “we have no record or recollection of doing business with you” cookie cutter response. The whole thing stinks.

I can't say enough about the service that Arkan at BC Computers provided me - it rates 10 stars. I has a 4 year old Lenovo 51s that wouldn't power up despite many attempts by Techs at other shops and myself - we all concluded that it was a motherboard issue, and no shop was willing to work on it beyond the diagnosis and the replacement cost of the motherboard was very high. Enter Arkan: After patiently eliminating possible motherboard issues over a 3-week period, he offered to provide brain surgery on the motherboard and managed to resuscitate it by desoldering (removing) the BIOS chip, reflashing it with an EPROM, and resoldering the chip back on the motherboard - very delicate work and exacting work. Cut to the chase, and the Laptop fired up and is running perfectly. Bravo Arkan!!
