Overcrowded, nothing in stock, long wait for delivery.

Put money on financing a couch that we were told stock was ordered and on its way to be delivered to the store that day May 3rd. No phone call no touch base until we called. When we called and left a message they finally called back and said the truck was delayed. It’s almost been three weeks since the delay we called asking for an update and the salesmen was off that day but another worker could look into it but it would take a couple days... last week we a call and got told that the couch and other furniture items the store ordered were lost and they were trying to get to the bottom of it. A week later no call to inform us what’s happening.

I ordered a sectional and a bedroom set November 3rd, 2020. The estimated arrival date on the receipt is 12-16 weeks. After phoning them numerous times, I was told on a call I made June 24th, 2021 that my final piece, the sectional had arrived that day (the bedroom set had arrived about 2 months or so earlier). By my count thats about 33 weeks it took. The salesman told me that it would be could be a "bit longer" than 16 weeks but could not be specific. In my opinion a "bit" is not over double. To be clear, I am not blaming the delay’s on Leon’s or the salesman. However, I do suspect that Leon’s has full knowledge how long the delays are taking and that they intentionally misled me. I believe that if they were completely upfront about these delays that it would have a large impact on their sales so they’re being vague in hopes that people will still buy product. It appears I’m also not alone, just look at the reviews on the BBB website, same story. I tried to see if they would allow some sort of discount, or offer a store credit. That was flat out denied. I was told the Manager has ruled that no discounts or store credits will be given as a result of delays incurred. Fair enough, but I wasn’t asking because of the delay. I was asking because of an extreme delay that was not made clear at the the time of sale, and likely intentionally. Good business practice would be to under-promise and over-deliver. I this case it was very much over-promised and under-delivered. Communication on their part was very poor. I had to be the one to initiate the contacts. I was also told by the salesman that he had tried to call me on my cell phone a number of times to try to offer me the floor model instead. I have reason to believe this was not the case as not only did he read me my correct phone number to confirm it but I always carry my phone and there were zero missed calls and zero voicemails from Leon’s. It was my call to them that I was told my sectional had arrived “that morning”. A date was set for delivery and I was given the standard “we’ll be there between 11:30 and 2:30pm and we’ll call you 10-15 minutes before arrival”. Ok fair enough, so I took off half my work day just to be home for the furniture I’ve waited over 8 months for and 3pm rolls around with no phone call. ONCE AGAIN I have to phone them. I call them and they said they’d be arriving “shortly”. Apparently “shortly” is an hour and a half in “Leon’s time”. Enough is enough. If I tell someone to I’ll be there by a certain time I expect that they’ll expect me there by that time. Even worse is if I gave them a 3 hour buffer and STILL couldn’t be there on time. Was anything positive about the experience? Well I got what I ordered. The quality and fit/finish of the furniture is about what I expected, okay but not excellent. The salesman and staff were polite. The delivery guys themselves were excellent, certainly the hardest workers of them all. They are the only reason I’m giving two stars.

Update, Dishwasher only 1 year old. Auto locking/latching mechanism quit working. Bought extended warranty, so you think it's covered???? If you guessed no, you'd be right. Never again Leon's. So after 1 year of use, 2 appliances needed replacement. With installation, the replacement of the warranties items cost between $700-800.

This is my 6th time of buying from Leon's Furniture. And I have never regretted doing so. I can vouch for the quality of their products. But to me, what I consider to be the best feature of Leon's Furniture is the customer service per excellence of the staff. They will offer you varieties of products with indepth analysis of each product. At the same time, you will be allowed to make your.choice. I will keep on patronizing Leon's Furniture.

Update to review below: After review below, we received a follow up and a delayed phone call from the store. They did update us on the situation and a couple of weeks later did get a call from the delivery folks. The delivery folks called as promised the day before, and also 15 minutes prior to arrival as promised. Delivery fellows were friendly, took care to lay protection on the floor and entrance and were able to delivery our couch. We are very satisfied with the delivery. We are happy that the store did finally start calling us to update us on the status of our order. But the overall experience is below expectation. However for their effort to improve their service after our review below, we would increase our original review star rating from 1 star to 3 stars (average). The delivery folks were great and get 5 stars. Original review below: Store following Covid protocols for the most part. People/staff not using correct enter and exit doors. My wife and I came in to buy a reclining couch. they had one in stock. But for our purchase they had a set coming in and the couch was still available. Very helpful friendly staff and they provided a delivery date. They did not follow up after the delivery date came and went with no delivery of the couch. We had to call them, and then we got a call the next day. The person called in the morning and agreed the delivery date was missed and would find out why and where the couch was in terms of transportation/carrier location. And that he would call back later that after noon. No call. Customer follow up service is terrible. We understand that issues can arise as both my wife and I dealt with customers as well. However it is important that they follow up with customers and that customers be notified and kept up to date on what is happening, especially when delays occur I gave 1 stars for initial interaction with sales staff. But the key is follow up especially when problems arise. This is very poor and non existent. Even after contacting them they still fail to call back when promised. I would not recommend purchasing anything from Leon's.

Noticed a great offer over for some pillows. Put in my online order to secure them. Got a call that they're not in stock at the local store. Unlike other chains leons doesn't offer you to have them send from a different location or even check the stock there for you. Great system leons! Wake up its 2021! The end of the story is that a few days later I finally received my refund but unfortunately the sale is over now. Going somewhere else the next time!

The only reason that I gave Leon’s in Brandon one star is that you have to in order to give a review. I custom ordered a couch from them and was lied to by the salesman and told that couch that would have two recliners and a chaise. I paid for the couch and went home. My husband decides a month after we ordered that he would like to stop and get the measurements before couch gets here. We stop and after taking measurements he mentioned being excited about the two recliners and to see if they knew when it might be here. The sales lady says that they don’t even sell anything with two recliners and a chaise. She explained this in detail. After my husband started to get upset she asks us what she can do about it since the guy(whom she said was their best salesman) no longer works there. My husband says what can you do exactly and basically she said the only thing that could be done was that the order could be cancelled, but we would lose 25% of what we paid. This made us extremely angry as the 25% was over 800$. So apparently you can lie outright to customers and still make money. Will never set foot in this place again. Customers that are flat out lied to for a commission and all the management at Leon’s Brandon could do to help us was to keep 25% of what we paid and suggest getting a different sofa. LEONS BRANDON ARE LIARS!!!

My husband and I went to Leon's. Due to covid the hours have been reduced which I wasn't aware of. So we only had 5 minutes. I said let's just take a quick look and if we find something we want we'll go back tomorrow and purchase it. Well the lady that approached us said they were closed. I then said you close at 6 so we have 5 minutes. She then corrected herself and said oh you have 3 minutes. I have never been treated like that in all the years dealing with Leon's. I am very disappointed.
