I had a samsung galaxy s20+ that I had brought in for a screen repair for front and back glass. The price was okay relative to a samsung canada repair price. Everything went okay until I got home and tried using wifi or a cellular network. It would connect with a very poor signal unless I was right beside I cellular network tower. I thought that maybe something was up with the firmware, I did tons of research on it with no luck on trying any of the common fixes. I tried everything. I brought it back to the store then I was told there was nothing wrong with it and he just turned of the voLTE setting then said I'd the problem occurs again to bring it back. Obviously the problem continued so I brought it back but he told me to get a new Sim card from Sasktel so I did. Then the problem was still there. So I brought it back to the store where he finally took it back to look at it. They finally called me back to tell me there was a Crack in the motherboard due to the phone being bent? It never was bent. They wanted another 700 dollars on top of the 580 I already paid for the initial repair or they would put my old screen and old glass back on and give me a refund so I chose that option as I could not afford to pay that much. They gave my phone back with a clipped battery cable and the phone was basically already taken apart. (Although I know that samsung required the batter cable to be clipped upon repair) since the phone was already basically taken apart, I opened it up and inspected the motherboard which appears to be in perfect condition and the antennas that would have been damaged were part of the frame which would have been replaced anyways. So I suspect they damaged my device during repair and claimed there was more damage that they "missed" during the first troubleshoot. I want some answers on this. Otherwise I will never trust this store again with anything.

Very courteous and friendly service. They're likely good for popular devices (Apple, Samsung), but experience may vary for other rarer brands. Before handing them your phone, make sure to document everything that is currently working. I went in for a speaker issue on my Xperia Z3 Compact. It occurred after I replaced the front screen myself. Since I did not have the part, and didn't want to wait for it, I brought it to UBreakIFix DDO. The person doing the repair called me when he finished, also mentioning that my phone did not vibrate. Fine. Maybe I did something wrong replacing my screen. However, after getting the phone back, I notice that the volume and power buttons had issues as well -these I am certain never occurred before giving the store my phone. Note that these buttons and vibration motor are connected to the same film wire harness... If you have any experience in circuitry, or if you're a hands-on person, I recommend watching Youtube videos and doing the repairs yourself. First time is a bit intimidating, but it's not witchcraft; everything is screws, connectors and sometimes, annoying glue. No business will treat your phone as carefully as you can yourself.

Went in with a broken screen on my Pixel 5 and they luckily had the parts to fix it, was an overnight job (although normally would have only taken an hour or two at most but we came in late) The guys were super down to earth and not at all condescending or rude like some people in these jobs can be. Overall great experience, will definitely be picking them over best buy or Koodo for any fixes or accessories I need in the future.

Dealing with the call centre was horrendous. The lady didn't explain what was going to happen to my computer. So the tech guys at the store wiped.my computer. It was a disaster. She spent half an hour explaining to me it was my fault and nothing she could do. When I chatted with the gentlemen in the store they were able to get my data back at no charge. I recommend going to store and dealing with the staff directly. Much easier and more efficient. Don't call the 1800 number go directly in and talk to the staff.

We took in an iPhone XR which we were certain was unrepairable. They said they would let us know within 24 hours what they would be able to do. One hour and 17 minutes later we were informed that the phone was repaired and ready to be picked up. They certainly lived up to the reputation we had heard from others. Aneesh is the man, and provided great insight and professionalism in diagnosing the way forward in fixing them. Very good service, they fixed two of our iPhones with broken screens. The new screen was installed correctly and everything was working as expected. They always suggest a screen protector, but it is my cheaper to get one for Amazon for 1/3 the price and install it yourself.

Took my little mans gaming monitor here for them to fix, found out they give estimates for FREE! Unfortunately we were better off to buy a new one but appreciated the honesty!! These guys took there time explaining everything and were super friendly, all in all great customer service skills. While we were there I asked about these screen protectors they had and buddy took out a hammer and smashed his phone, I said give me one of those. I choose the no glare and it’s worth every penny, so if your in the neighbourhood if nothing else get in there and buy a screen protector. Did I mention it comes with a guarantee they’ll pay the deductible if screen breaks???

So the long and short is I found these guys and they put in a new battery for $ 80.00 and i now have a fully functional I phone, Kudos to YoubreakIfix. Extremely over priced. Go to 22nd Cellphone and Computer repair, they are the cheapest in the city. Replying to most recent review reply. It was make clearly to me that the price match was only 5% of a competitors price which mean of I paid $55 for something somewhere else, at $100 for the same fix at your rate, id only get that fix from you for $90. The price match is not clear on your side. I feel it is because of the area you are located is why the prices are so high.

This is the first time I feel like I need to write a comment to talk about my experience with a company on social media. I have an iPhone 7 Plus and a little bit of water from the ocean fell on it and made it stop working. I passed by the Apple store and they told me that I either had to change my phone or have somebody look at fixing the hardware. I first stopped at Mobile Klinik, it took them two hours and they came back to me telling me my phone was dead and i had to change it, all of my unsaved information was lost. I also valued the pictures on my phone, so i was pointed to a compagny that could extract information from phones, but it was apparently very very costly. Before doing any of that, on my way home, i found a UBreakIFix store, specifically the one on des sources steeet, i stopped by, explained my situation and the employee was more than happy to see what they could do for me. Not even 24 hours later, i got a call telling me my phone had been fixed. The price was very modest and affordable. They explained to me how they kept trying options until something worked. I am extremely pleased with the service and courtesy i experiences at the UBreakIFix Des Sources store and would recommend it to anybody who needs help with their devices. Thank you again so much!!!

I had my phone's screen, battery, and charge port replaced and they did a good job. Nothing wrong with the repair and the people were friendly. They told me the battery wasn't in stock but they would get it in shortly and my phone would be ready in about a week. They offered a loaner phone for a large deposit, fair enough. However, a week later I call and they have no idea where the battery is. 2 weeks later I call and they'll call me back when they get it in. A week later I call and they say they'll call the supplier to find out what's going on and call me back the same day. The next day I call and they say 3-4 business days. 2 weeks later they call saying they have the battery and would have it ready by the end of the day. 2 weeks later I call and they haven't started the repair but will have it ready by the end of the day, and they have it ready 15 minutes before they close. Each of these times is +/- 1 week (the call logs were on the loaner I returned), but the little over a week ended up a little over 2 months, and their communication on their side was severely lacking. If 2 months for a repair estimated at 1 week wasn't bad enough, they were going to refund me $50 less for the loaner phone's deposit than they were supposed to before I pointed it out to them that they were shortchanging me. While the repair was successful, I can't recommend them at all based on this experience. If they don't have the part you need in stock, steer clear.

Terrible fixer. Went to go get my iPhone 6s screen replaced. First the people working at the desk are amazing nice and seemed like they knew what they were doing. the first repair was done in 20 mins and I told him to take his time, yet he still did it in 20 mins. Came home and realized my 3D Touch was not working and it kept screwing up my phone. Went back the same day did not have anymore screens in stock so I had to wait till Thursday. Came back Thursday to get it fixed told me I had to wait 4 hours told them no problem and to fix it properly. Came back, got my phone and check if the 3 d touch was working ( since I thought it was the only issue) came home to find a burned pixel and the zoom, scrolling up and down weren't working. Went back on Friday and replaced it again. Now I'm hoping everything is good but it isn't. So now the only issue is a burned pixel, but if you're charging only 20$ CHEAPER than the APPLE store then I'd expect a good job and not a burned pixel. I wanted to speak to a manager but he wasn't present. Since the employee said that they have been fixing iPhones all day and the issue was reoccurring with other iPhone and not just mine and to come back Monday. By now (monday) 7 th time I'm coming in, manager claims my "mother board" is damaged and it's my iphone fault for having minor issues but employee(S) said on Friday that it was the batch of screen having issues. So now it's not their screens but my iPhone that has a problem. I decided to get my refund and go to the Apple Store to get it fixed which honestly takes about 2 hours and then use a REAL OEM screen and not some cheap stuff and over charge people. Honestly if you're looking at saving 20$ go there or if Apple won't fix your product or if you use a Samsung. But honestly terrible first experience, waisted time, fuel, and money for me to go. Or for anyone. Save your time ( which you definitely can never get back) and go to the Apple Store it's only 20$ more and they use a real iPhone screen instead of cheap screen. Also I asked Apple if there was any other issue with the mother board or if my LCD was damaged they said there was nothing other than my glass( screen that was broken). Save your time and go to the Apple Store and just spend the extra 20$. I also asked the manager at ubreakifix why they charge 149.99 and Apple charges 169.99 the only answer he could come up with was they can do the work in 20 mins. ( terrible work for a 600$+ phone) but the 3out of the 4 replacement they had took more then 1 hour to fix. So honestly save your time and go to the Apple Store because at least they give back your phone making sure everything is working by running tests and they don't give back iphone with burned pixels. Absolutely phenomenal service here - I was in a pretty desperate situation with a damaged phone, and upon arriving felt all my anxiety go away when I set the phone on the counter and Safinali (the amazing tech) instantly - literally within seconds of just looking at it - identified the make and model of my phone and the likely diagnosis with confidence. Luckily there was one near me. I took it there and said they will try and get to it but may take a couple of days. Three hours later they called and it was fixed. The service was great. When removing the protective cover (bought and installed elsewhere) a piece of the plastic was somehow glued to the screen. He had not seen that before but safety removed it at no charge. This was most probably the worst service I have ever received for any electronic appliance. I dropped my iPhone 6 in December 2015 right before the holidays. As a result the screen cracked. I decided to finally get it fixed May 16 2016. I brought the phone to them in the morning. They were very friendly and appeared to know what they were doing. As they were writing everything in the file he asked if everything on the phone worked. I insisted that everything worked and reluctantly I gave him my password before I left. He assured me that the iPhone would be ready by the end of the day. The phone was fixed and I went to pick it up. When I got there he informed me that there was bad news. He explained to me that when you make a phone call the screen no longer turns black once you put it to your ear. He then proceeded to say that it was broken all along even when I brought the phone in! I calmly told him that I would know if that feature would've been broken. He then told me that he couldn't believe me because he forgot to check that feature before repairing the phone. His excuse was that I didn't give him the password but the password was written on the back of the phone! He then said well we can fix it all you need is a new sensor. He said the sensors would come on May 18 2016. I decided to take my phone for those two days. Everything on the phone worked except for the calling feature. When I went back on the Wednesday they said this repair will probably only take a day. This whole process ending up taking 6 days. At this point it was next Monday. I go to pick up my phone and they tell me in the end they couldn't repair the sensor. Basically all this frustration for nothing. I get in the car and start checking my phone out and realize there were lines on my screen and the Touch ID no longer works! I go back the next day and they inform me that the only way the Touch ID would ever work again is if I got a brand new phone. They also replaced my screen again which is all I wanted in the first place. Long story short they gave me back my phone more broken than fixed. About 3 weeks later I notice that the screen of my phone was starting to come off. I decided to not go back to this store. The other company informed me that I had an expanding battery which was making the screen come off. They also fixed the calling feature by replacing a cable which was never mentioned as a possibility before. So to everyone thinking of going to this UBREAKIFIX I strongly suggest not to. I've also spoken to other people that have been through the same thing as me.

The staff was very friendly and the service was quick, however, the knowledge of the employees was absolutely terrible. I brought my laptop in to get looked at, and was told by the staff after the tests they conducted that my laptop was unrepairable and I would need to buy a new one. I then went to get a second opinion and was told that the only problem was that my screen needed to be replaced, to which I replaced it and now have been using my laptop perfectly since. Yes I will admit the service was alright, but good service does not justify the fact that the employees here are not properly analyzing products of customers. I will not be returning here again and urge people to seek a second opinion before they get uBreakiFix to repair their products.

Yes, it costs a lot to fix an S7, but for $269+tx and 90-day warranty on the repairs, plus my Samsung warranty remains intact, it was worth it. Found UBreakiFix in a Google search for a company that could clean my iphone charge port because it was not charging properly anymore. This has happened a couple times, where lint (etc.) gets lodged in the port and it interrupts the connection so often doesn't charge when it's like this. The shop I used to go to for cleaning would charge me $15 bucks but they closed so I took it hear. Imagine my surprise to be told that they do NOT charge for port cleaning and he took the phone and started cleaning it right there and then, and handed it back 5 minutes later showing me the charge cable connecting easily and charging properly again. Without question, the next time I have a repair to make on a phone, tablet, computer or other device....I'm coming back here. What a great way to build a loyal customer! Thank you!

Idk how they stay in business, I can't see them lasting for long if they continue what they did with me...I booked a day to bring my phone in to get the screen fixed. They said bring it in we got the parts set aside. It'll be 3 hours. I get there and the guy I talked with said we're missing a part to change this screen on a Samsung S9, it was booked in a week a head. And they never called back to say "we don't got the part in yet" they waited until I got there to do so. What if I drove 2 hours, would they have cared then? Probably not. My wife called to talk to the person who she originally called to book this appointment and it's been 4 days and they still never called back like they said they would. Again I don't how they expect to last but I'm not doing business with them.

I recently broke my iPhone screen. The first place I went to didn't have the part and told me it wouldn't be available for a month or so. I took my business to UBREAKIFIX instead. They had the part ready the next day after I called, and replaced the screen in less then an hour. They kept in constant communication with me, due to some issues on my phone providers end with sending my information to the store. En plus de cela ils ont brisé encore plus mon téléphone. Pire service avec des gens qui ne connaissent absolument rien. Pourtant c’est une simple procédure. Je vous recommande de trouver une autre place que UBreakIfix sur Dessources.

Alex was great to deal with. They made the entire process easy and being an Authorized Samsung Repair Facility made me a lot more comfortable with dropping my phone off to have the screen replaced. That way my warranty would not be void. I also have some private data for work on my phone and did not want to leave my pin or disable the security. They we accommodating and called me in when they needed to do the system checks and calibration so I could unlock it. Their prices for cables, cases, and screen protectors are also very reasonable.

For 35 minutes I sat and watched while they served the only other customer ahead of me and went into the back room to work on stuff, only to come back out and help a new customer who had just walked through the door. First of all, I should point out that the staff are great people who seem genuinely concerned about fixing items. I would suggest that, if you need a simple fix for a phone - such as a screen replacement - you should give them a try. For computer repair - especially for a mac - it is best to go somewhere else. As I waited at the store for over an hour (due to the miscommunication explained below), I was able to get a pretty good sampling of their repair service. Most people picking up their phones were satisfied. For my mac repair, the communication was terrible (which the staff conceded and apologized for) and they provided confusing and conflicting information on the repair itself. Simple phone repair.. probably close to 5 star. For computer repair, probably closer to 1 star.

Took in my 3 year old Xbox one with water damage because the internet alleged it easy to fix for a tech. Didn't get to speak with the technician who actually looked at my Xbox. I brought it to get the screen replaced and when I got it back there was a problem with the sensor, it couldn't detect when I took my face away from the phone to end the call, so the screen would stay black. Then I realized that the screen was coming off at the top corner and the very bottom of the screen became unresponsive. So, I brought it back to be fixed. I got it back today and they made it worse: the entire bottom half of the screen is now unresponsive and the screen is peeling off AGAIN. I'm really pissed, they did the opposite if their job.

I dropped my “water resistant” iPhone into a hot tub and everything went black and it wouldn’t power on. I thought it was a goner. Absolute garbage service! Zero customer service etiquette. Was talked down to and treated like an idiot. The serviceman claims to use the same quality glass as Apple - THIS IS A LIE!! The new screen installed by them didn't even last a week! Phone was knocked off the couch and landed on a thick high pile carpet and CRACKED! They refused to help or give a discount to fix this. Avoid this place at all costs. Save yourself the headache and just get your repairs done at the Apple store.

Great place to get factory-quality service done for warranty or otherwise. The service was fast and they're great about communicating how things are going. But they seem to get pretty unhappy when you ask about devices other than the ones they like to fix - for example, they won't touch anything HTC. I'm glad the Dalhousie location is where it is. It's conveniently located for many people. My correspondence with head tech Jayson was always very straightforward. He's honest; gives you the facts and that's the way it is. Very dedicated to helping you out. I brought my PlayStation 4 in for repairs and now it works as if nothing happened. All my saved game data is even perfectly intact. Jayson is very polite, as is Tessa. I appreciate their policy of making sure you still want to go ahead with repairs after they diagnose and tell you the fee. To me it says that they realize maybe it ended up being more than the person thought and so they give you the option rather than just going ahead with it. Although it must be said the repair prices were very reasonable, especially with the issues my console had. If I ever need anything else fixed somewhere in the future, I hope they'll still be here on Dalhousie.
