reasonably priced items with a decent stock for a medium-sized computer and electronics store. I always check the price, the stock levels and promotions online before going there. surprisingly, they also endorse the warranty on some items, so you don't have to deal with the manufacturer.

Basically alibaba quality but right next door! 0 and I mean ABSOLUTELY ZERO after purchase service. Bought a product online, tried to give them simple directives for delivery, never had an response. I was told I would be able to go in-store to order something, as they don't take any payments by phone. Once I got there, the supervisor himself told me that they are no longer taking orders and proceeded to say, the best he could do for me would be to better inform his employees that orders were not being taken temporarily. How helpful... -_- So, an hour drive later, and all I'm left with is my wasted time and garbage service. The supervisor was not helpful at all and was not even willing to touch his computer to verify the information I was given on the phone. Rude and unprofessional. Don't waste your time.

Got laughed at when asking for a fan splitter. They had a sound bar mislabeled at $50, I picked it up went to the cash and got told it's $350. I Showed them and got told thank you it was mislabeled, and then told me it's still $350. There was also about 4 employees just standing around talking instead of making sure the costumers were taken care of.

Horrendous company, service, system & staff. Ordered a laptop which was in stock at a different location (Kingston). I was told it would take 1 week to receive it in the MTL location and that no payment was needed to reserve it (despite me offering to pay the full amount right away). No signs of life after 2 weeks, no updates (despite the manager telling me himself he would update me). Turns out the order was never placed to bring the computer to MTL and that the remaining stock got sold in the meantime. 2 weeks later, the laptop restocks in Brossard. (no one warned me as they said they would, I had to scout the website daily until it restocked somewhere). When I saw it was available, I called the manager, who sent me to the Brossard location (35min drive from where I live), guaranteeing me that they will be able to sell it to me and to honour the pricing. After 1 month, more than 5 visits to the stores, well over 10 calls with customer support/managers/employees from both stores, it turns out that neither Downtown or Brossard will honour their deal, and neither provide any support or solution to the issue, essentially forcing me to pay a 300+tx over the price it was at when I tried purchasing it initially. Their only solution is to 'email the mother store and see if they can do anything, but probably not'. Employees kept getting distracted and leaving me hanging for 5-15mins in store while they did other random things or to chat with other employees (all while 7-10 employees were simply roaming around the store or hanging on their phones...). Sh*t store, Sh*t service, Sh*t system. Head to Newegg or literally anywhere else instead.

Came with the intention of buying a gaming computer, talked to a employee who seemed reluctant to answer my questions and offered very little advice. I have never had such a hard time purchasing a product in my life. They won't ship the laptop to a store in my area without it taking 3 weeks even though the store is only 2 hours away. Fortunately we had a team member in the area but then they told me they wouldn't accept my payment either so that the team member could pick it up. When i asked why they don't accept online payments like their competitors do they told me they don't have to be cause they make good sales... guess I'm going to a competitor.

I have been trying to support them since 2014 buying parts from them. Now their prices are higher then other companies offer. Last time I was trying to price match and even talked to their manager who refused to do so. He added the shipping cost while I'm driving myself to the store. When you go to the competitors store they won't add the shipping cost and sell it as it mentioned on their website. Now I'm building a new pc and will buy parts from Mike's computers or Newegg.

Great computer store where you can find almost any consumer IT equipment you can imagine and evaluate them physically before buying, a kind of experience that is refreshing. Canada Computers is my favorite place so far in the city to buy computer related stuff. Most of the stores have huge parking space, and there's also nice discounts on stuff from time to time.. Apparently in this location, I was told by the sales person, you can't return the RAM as soon as it leaves the store, even if the packaging seal was never broken. I do not like this!

Manager was reluctant to do a price match from Amazon, he applied shipping fee to his own home address to make the difference smaller. Became extremely rude when I showed him the free shipping policy on the item I wanted from Amazon and it was clearly marked that the item was with free shipping. After that he told me that he was the one that decided what to price match or not according to their price match policy (didn't see "to the manager discretion" when I went on Canada computers website) and concluded with either you take it like that or just leave.

Recently purchased several parts to build my girlfriend her own gaming setup and it felt good to rely on the knowledge of their staff when they recommended better parts for her build. When putting the parts together we ran into a small inconvenience and thought we did everything to fix it, but it wouldnt display the gpu or anything on the screen. Brought the tower in the next morning and the staff was attentive to my problem and gladly helped fix our problem. Overall satisfied with them :)

This is a place you should avoid. The return policies are pretty bad. Even when you've bought the 1 year warranty. Don't expect a return. They'll try to make up things, give you a hard time and blame the customer for being "uninformed" and whatever. Plus, they will try to do service charges, which is ridiculous when you've just bought a defective product just to check if it is truly defective.

I don't know what happen but over the last few months Canada Computers (which wasn't great to start with) managed to get much worst. Recently, staff are extremely rude, unfriendly and do not answer the phone. When in store, you can clearly see the phone ringing while everyone is just standing around. If you managed to get through, you're told one thing on the phone and another in person. They refuse to update their website with stock and when you go into the store its always a gamble of getting your product. I believe courses in customer support are needed from the top down. I went to ask a series of technical questions about my malfunctioning PC to the repair department. As I entered, there were only 3 young employees (18-20 years old) present, 2 of which were idle but cornered behind the counters without any enthusiasm to approach clients. Once one of them left the counters and came to the floor area, I signalled him from far by raising my hand to attract his attention, as he was going a different way. I asked him "where can I find the repair department" and as he answered my question and I thanked him, he quietly told me in french "please do not call me by waiving your hand in a rude manner, I'm not the 'chef' around here". Unfortunately, I was incredibly rushed to stop and tell him everything that was wrong with what he told me and to report him to his manager for talking back to a customer, as it is obviously and painfully clear that you DO NOT talk back to customers, even when they are as rude as they can be. However, be that as it may, the repair department's crew responded to my questions with straight answers, which was great, but the initial encounter just ruined my will to shop here, as I was ready to spend 600-700$ for parts... Not to mention the competition from other nearby stores... This is not the first review where a customer was insulted by an employee's method of approach and communication. Please rectify this situation in the future, so that the next customers won't have to go through this awful situation all over again. (For informational purposes, the altercation occurred at ~13:15 on May 2nd)

It's a good store to get computer components locally. With the COVID measures in place you need to order online and pick your order up at the front door. They will not allow in store visits at this time but they are well organized for the pick-ups.

Every time i’ve gone in here with any PC issues, instead of helping me, they try to charge me 60$ for fees. Absolutely cheap. You just lost a customer for life. Canada Computers in the west island never tried to charge me, they just helped me with what I needed. The clerk said “we lose too much money by not giving services”. You lose more money losing lifetime clients, trust me.

Mixed emotions about this place, bought multiple parts with help from people working there and they gave excellent customer service that would deserve 4-5 stars, but recently i had issues with my computer and brought it there to fix and after paying 80$ i was told "things weren't plugged in right, all your hardware is fine." I got home and pc still crashed when played games (which is something i mentioned and they never looked into it), ran a memory test and turns out the ram was faulty, so in the end they never found my issue and im not sure they use the greatest tools to test if your parts work or not.

I didn’t want to travel 2 hours to get something that wasn’t there. Took a week to get an answer and when they did answer the email was hyper condescending telling me to check on their website, when I answered telling them I did, got a second condescending email telling me how to select the right store to check the inventory… I’m gonna go spend 3k for my PC somewhere else!

Went online to see if they had a hardware in stock - they did. So called to make sure the information was right, the guy said no.. hut then looked up his computer, saw 1 in stock. We looked surprised and was whispering to his colleague that " it was still stock". I asked him if he could put it aside, that I was coming to get it now. He said no, first arrive first served (in a rude way). I drove there as fast as i could ; and been told by (propably) the same guy , that its gone - no more stock. That Saturday we came across a wonderful service lady who took the time to explain the issues with us. she checked and rechecked the computer and helped us save the hard drive . Walked in to return an item as I was not sure of the direction I was going to build my PC not knowing very much, and was quickly greeted by the wonderful staff and the manager, Mitesh. Him and the staff were instrumental in helping me build my PC, giving me the best PC possible and suggesting the best parts, while respecting my budget. Thumbs up for the honesty of this staff who strived to get me the best my money could buy and truly went above and beyond. I don't usually post reviews of places but felt the need to do so here. My husband pre order his GPU a while back in Dec and received multiple calls in Jan giving options since they did not have his card. We recently visited store again for some parts which we found and ask for another card, unfortunately they did not have but the group leader (Jo, thats what staff were calling him) was very informative about gpu situation and he helped us with other parts that we were buying. my husband is glad he took the option they provided back in Jan.

They have nothing in stock, they only have a few items in demo (so if you’re wondering what that pc case looks like, you can’t see it), they have the worst return policy I’ve ever seen (14 days if the product is sealed in box), organization of the cables shelf was poor and only after a solid 10 minutes of staring at this cable shelf, a staff member came by (by chance, not to offer help).
