I brought in 2 computers and I was not given a receipt. I asked him can I have a receipt for them and nonchalantly told me you can trust me!.( Alarm bells went off but I left them there anyhow), As the weeks went their were no follow ups as to what the problems were I had to always call in to ask. When I finally found out the problems were both motherboards roughly a month had passed. Note: when I did get the feedback I was told I would have to order in the new motherboard and the other macbook he said he would continue to work on its motherboard issue. Roughly another 2 weeks had passed brought the new motherboard in but was not told right away it was the wrong one. Another coiuple of days went by before I heard it was the wrong one and had to send this one back and replace it with another. After all this running around I finally received the right motherboard he said he was going on holidays ,(What???) so another long wait again. I still did not receive any calls from him finally I called and asked what the wait is his reply the computer has issues (what??) Finally I drove there and said to him look I need my computer and if you can't fix the problem then I will take it to someone who will in a timely manner and asked him nicely to put the computer back together and I will take it with me .. His reply " I am busy right now, I will call you when its ready. The following day he finally tells me its ready but he is closing for the weekend. (what??/) I did get the computers back neither one was fixed. I took the 27" imac to Northern Protocol were they ran a bunch of tests to diagnose what is going on. After only 2 days!!!! they called me to give me the results. Apparently, the old motherboard pegs were bent they could never use it again and the same with the new motherboard the pegs were bent, which I just spend over 400.00 on. And we learned On top of that the fellow from imac solutions erased my hard-drive and never asked me.. (what??) .. Northern Protocol did a fabulous job on my imac and found that the whole problem was the video card not the motherboard. however, because of the extent of the damages done by imac solutions they said it was not worth the money or the effort to fix at this point. And never charged me for running this diagnosis ..What a difference in efficiency and customer relations!!

AMAZING experience. David was able to help me over the phone in less than 2 minutes, when other Barrie stores wanted to take the laptop for 7-10 business days. He was able to identify the issue and give me a simple fix that had me up and running quickly (he stopped my daughter from crying and didn't make me feel like an idiot for not knowing what was wrong). Not only did he help me to figure out if the repair could be covered under various apple replacement programs, but he provided a flexible repair plan that worked for me. We use Mac Solutions for all of our Apple Repair needs at Media Suite. The service is always prompt, nicely explained and priced reasonably. David's knowledge of Apple computers is phenomenal. Dave is a really nice guy, has a great personality and responded quickly. Though he was unable to fix my laptop at all. When first dropping of my computer I was told I'd be called with updates, and I never got an update without calling first. My laptop was there for over 3 weeks for a display repair but the longer my laptop was here the scarier our phone calls were. The last time I called I was told the longer they had my laptop the worse it seemed to get, and I would have to replace the motherboard, I picked up my laptop the next day. After retrieving my laptop I brought it to an Apple store where they did a full diagnostic on it, finding that nothing was wrong but my display which was the original issue and had it fixed in 5 days. So bringing my laptop to Mac Solutions was nothing but a waste of a lot of time. Nothing against Dave, he truly did seem like a genuine person that just didn't know how to solve the issue. I just wish he gave up sooner so I could have had my laptop sooner.

Brought in my 2019 macbook pro for repair, there was poor communication, every week I made a call for an update, new parts were being ordered without my knowledge. Twice I was told it was repaired and upon pick up it was not fixed. It was here for a month and it was returned with the original problem and a shrug saying to return it to apple (due to covid, the border and apple stores were closed, this was not possible). When the laptop was returned I was disappointed that my charging cord was crumpled around my charger, kinking the cord. I took the computer to jump plus and within a week my computer was fixed. The jump plus tech informed me the fans for the laptop were left unplugged, this could have caused damage and overheating to the components. Overall this was a month of stress and poor communication, I chose this establishment based on the good reviews and I had quite the opposite experience.

I took my MacBook Pro into the local super store and tried to have it fixed by "the squad", I was told I needed a new computer & purchased a $3,000 new Mac along with the "Squads" $30/mo maintenance plan. After two attempts by them to transfer over my software & several days of missed work I gave up & brought my old & new mac in to David at Mac Solutions. Within minutes he discovered the problem with the old Mac & fixed it under warranty. He saved me $3,000 & $30/mo. I will never take my Mac anywhere else again, fantastic service!

I read the first review, and asked Mac Solutions about it when I had my machine in for repair (he was able to recover all my data off a dying drive, and pretty quickly too) Turns out one the delays that the first person had was due to the fact that she bought the wrong part off of eBay - not sure how that would be his fault? Anyway, I found the service to be excellent, and would go there again.
