You may have noticed that it reaches an opinions average is good, and it's founded on a very large number of feddbacks, so we can be quite sure that the assessment is quite accurate. If there are many people who bothered to leave their score when they've done well with the business, it works.

This Computer Repair belongs to the category of Computer store.
Great store. The staff are always super happy, helpful, and knowledgable. I was also surprised to see that their pricing is super competitive. They were already listed lower than Newegg and Amazon for every part of my new PC build. These guys don't just rock, but they also roll. If they were to be part of a bee they would the knees! If my computer was a cat this store would be it's pajamas
If you need computer parts this place beats Best Buy hands down
Always Great deals, lowest price around without having to buy online & wait. Helpful, knowledgeable staff, decent return policy aswell if you need it. ????
They have everything you need for computers
Great. Had everything I needed
Decent place if you’re looking to build a PC without ordering parts online. Never had any problems with service. Always have items in stock.
Knowledgeable staff makes all the difference!
Best prices and service
Great selection and service. Safe covid precautions
awesome, prices so good. decent staff.
Duuh best place to rl touch things
Love the staff, can always answer any questions needed and some even know compatibility off the top of their heads! Great work guys.
Good thing i was paying attention when the cashier was processing the sale. The sales associate brought the wrong NVMe drive to the checkout , had to exchange before i even finished paying...
Great service and prices
They always do right by me there. Prices for things like external hdds are fair. Their custom built pcs are good for the price.
Great source for everything from specialty cables to computers, cell phones, tv's, and assorted electronics. Unbeatable prices on nearly everything in stock, plus weekly specials. Check online for availability for Ontario locations nearby.
My Go To place for computer items.
Great Selection of products & Friendly Helpful Staff
Great staff. The team were able to help me find a replacement computer within my budget. Very caring and compassionate (as I suddenly didn't feel well while waiting) still able to follow through to bring the computer to my vehicle once everything was set up. Thank you from the bottom of my ❤.
Great service, large showroom area, the salespeople arent pushy.
Friendly and helpful
Curbside pickup only cannot go in store.
Helpful and friendly staff, loads of items
Excellent staff. Good selection of tech. Definitely worth a stop.
Quiet small store with helpful staff.
Prices are good.. store layout and appearance needs an overhaul
If you need something for the rig in this area this is the only place to go, most of the staff is good but one member causes me headaches every time I go in there.
9 times outta 10 they have what I want l and the prices are usually good
A nice large Canada computer store with friendly staff and lots and lots of electronics on the shelves. I like the fact that a lot of their stock his out so you can actually grab a box and read about it. Motherboards memory cards and hard drives etc. are behind the counter for obvious reasons
Went in looking for a laptop cord and the employee just pointed me to the gigantic wall of cords and said it was there, leaving me to inspect loads of packages of cords as they aren't labelled clearly, especially for someone who doesn't know much about computers. The cashier asked me if I found everything okay, so I told her how the other employee just pointed me and left me to my own devices. She simply told me the store was "understaffed," which I found a bit ridiculous as I was literally the only customer there. Good prices, but piss poor customer service unless you're spending a lot of money.
Look for Sam at the parts counter, he knows his stuff and is really helpful. Got me what I needed and stayed in my budget, great knowledgeable gentleman
These folks know there stuff. Lot's of inventory.
Nice staff, good location. Store is clean. In comparison to other stores it's slightly smaller.. So sales days it cleans out quick.
Great store for finding obscure computer parts. I was looking for a VGA to USB-C adapter and with the quick and knowledgeable help of staff found it. They're were actually two options for my computer and after asking me pertinent questions advised me to get the less expensive of the two.
One of the best spots in Barrie to get computers parts. Good selection and competitive prices.
Everything a tech nerd needs! On top of that, the staff really know their products and hardware. I consider myself well versed in PCs and accessories and still each visit I leave having learnt something new! Thank you !
Good computer store, employees were happy to help me find the little parts I was looking for that were missing from the shelf
Good equipment and helpful staff
Always the best service, staff is knowledgeable and friendly, I always look forward to spending money here
We purchase from this location fairly regularly, location is decent, selection of products can be limited at times compared to what is available on their website. But I feel that is a sticking issue from head office. Lead times for products not in stock are unrealistic, you can get them much quicker on Amazon if you have to wait. Overall good experience, good staff, and good location.
Went the extra mile to find charging cable that I needed for a cheaper price.
Great sales, unfortunately they don't bring stock in from other locations
Had a really great experience with the manager at the front door. I had asked if they price matched newegg and he said no but would see what he could do. He ended up coming within 5 bucks of the price and saved me waiting for it by mail thanks CC.
Great staff who are always incredibly happy to help you, they have an answer to anything you ask them, and everything in there is fairly priced. You know you're always going to get the best price here! Highly recommend over best buy or the source!
BEST CALL ON HOLD MUSIC EVER... old gaming songs <3 plus the staff is always friendly and always ready to help out 10/10 :)
Large location and helpful staff. While the person who initially greeted me at the door was not helpful, one of his colleagues jumped in and made the sale. No fault of the greeter, he may have just been new and there’s probably over a million different components in this store alone and one person can't know everything. I would come back to this location again.
This independent place is a refreshing change from Best Buy, the Source, and others like it. It's small, so depending on what you're in the market for, your options may be more limited. But the customer service is usually great and all the staff are really knowledgeable (which can be half the difficulty with this sort of stuff anyways).
Great staff and very knowledgeable.
Highly recommend Canada Computers in Barrie! Wife and I went in to get her the components to start her gaming PC today. The staff were extremely friendly and very helpful. You felt like part of the family inside the store. Keep up the great work!
Alright if you need stuff desperately, but extremely over priced with staff that push pointless warranties.
Always a good experience when I go in and even a better one when I leave. Spencer is my go to guy, kinda knows everything :)
Great store and good service
Visit here all the time! Helpful staff!!
Great selection of parts, guys seem to know their stuff. Only thing bothering me is the "geek culture" feel I got. The staff were happily chatting away tech talk to a group of... Customers? Or maybe just tech geeks, I'm not sure... And although I know my technology, I got the feeling that I was less important to the staff because I simply wanted to buy what I came for and not chat idly about the merits of the latest GPU from Nvidia. Maybe I just read more into it than I should, but that's what I felt. Keep it in mind. You'll certainly get what you need here, but you might not feel great about the experience.
This store is only focused on sales not service. You can get the same service and better products buying direct from the manufacturer. I will only pay retail prices for good service. Will never do business with Canada Computers. Had to dispute my charges through visa and they can keep the 3 hour old laptop that needed to go for service and my extended warranty that is a sham.
staff is great and selection is there but its cheaper to buy online.
They've got everything - no other company in Canada offers this great shopping experience, which is superb due to its top notch selection. We need more of this store all across Canada!!
Idk how to even go about this usually never have an issue with CC in Barrie but today had to be that day where a store really just rubs you the wrong way, walked in to purchase a resin printer (creality) the item on their web did not say open box (displayed product) so I'm like whatever not gonna bug me to much head up to the unit with the guy and as he's boxing it up I notice scratches on the shroud and around the base of the unit, I point it out and say is there any mark down for the unit as they sre asking full price ! Short story it goes from floor guy to the manager and they all reduced a mark down on this item ! For what ? Why who wants a ruined dinged up product are they just waiting for the next dude to say whatever and take it or just not notice it ! Idk bad practices I've never seen a store cheap out so heavy like that not even a 14 percent to cover the tax or 10% kinda makes you see why online shopping such as Amazon and the like is booming.
Dropped by to see if they had a certain item in stock, staff very knowledgeable and helpful. They didn’t have it in stock but the employees are nicer here than the Vaughan location. Plenty of parking and located in a large plaza with other stores.
Great sales knowledge and helpful quick service. Would recommend!
Not a very good in store stock
Knowledgeable staff that take the time to understaff your needs
One word fantastic store.wonderful employees
Really awesome and cool. They have like everything.
Big store, good prices
Friendly and very knowledgeable younger staff . Specially Mark. Thank you!
Placed an order for 2 products.. 2 simple grab and go things.. I've been checking my emails for TWO HOURS for even an update. Nobody is answering the phone no email nothing. First time purchasing here and I'm beyond disappointed. Better off to order from anyone else and wait for shipping. All i needed was a pc case and a cpu cooler. What the actual f*ck.
The cheap plastic broke on my ssd when attaching to my computer. Canada Computers says its damage so they wont return, replace or refund. Return policy is ridiculous. They do not stand by the products they sell . Buy from somewhere else!
Hreat prices and friendly service
Friendly helpful staff and lots of parts!
I needed a new battery for my 2009 MacBook . Canada computers installed a new battery for me while I waited and completed the installation in about 5 minutes.
The best place for advice about computers systems and accessories
Large inventory of hardware and software laptops tower's tablets and tons of accessories for all your electronic devices knowledgeable and friendly staff good prices
Staff are very friendly and willing to help. Prices are competitive.
OK service. Great selection.
Pushy and arrogant sales people.. They need to realize that some of us as customers are smarter and more knowledgeable than they give us credit for
Good place for computer parts and home electronics.
Great Products, but service is very weak, Every time I purchase a product, something did not work for the application I asked for!!! I do not understand why some of these people have attitude, Don't they like their Job?
Comparible prices and friendly and knowledgeable staff
Good selection of parts and accessories, staff is on commission though and will always try to upsell
Great customer service and excellent selection of products. This is my go to shop for all pc products in Barrie.
Thanks for replacing my CPU during the lockdown. Excellent service!
Helpful staff. Were able to suggest a better solution to my issue, while saving me money.
Been calling to ask if my computer is ready for pickup. It's been a month. NO ONE ANSWERS THEIR PHONE. I've been calling for 2 weeks. I had to call head office and they told me my computer is there ready. Should get a call this weekend. Nope. Nothing. Called again today... as expected it just rings. Are you kidding me?
Great service and staff with good knowledge
Joshua Dunnings kid was very rude and harassing.
A friend of mine tried to go into this establishment. He's medically exempt from wearing a mask(he told them this) and they refused him entry and shut the door in his face and locked it. I wouldn't recommend coming here for ANYTHING! Shop elsewhere.
Friendly staff and awesome experience.
Only giving this 3 stars because if it wasn’t for the customer service from Reyse and Gragham this would be a one star review. I recently bought a mother board for my husband for Christmas, it ended up being to small to fit all his parts ie. wifi card, video card, when we went to return it Nira was no help at all, she wouldn’t even give us the time of day, in the end it wasn’t returnable but the point of this post is customer service, she needs a lesson in it and we will be going to a competitor in the future because of her.
I've been an Canada Computers customer for over 5+ Years constantly having purchased over the years at least $2,000. Today (07/24/18) walked out Un-happy and bought my product somewhere else. Wont price match amazon.ca even when I come In-store and have proof of the amazon price... one of their rules is that it needs to be sold by amazon.ca and no other retailer with amazon, I was prepared with that information and I was trying to purchase a 150$ Power Supply, so I went to the cashier and I showed them my phone and prove the legitimacy of my request, He didn't trust me, Sure be sceptical i'm just another hoodlum 22 year old to him, yet i probably have a better paying job then him. He looked at something on the POS that states if can or not, He didn't give me and explanation and he said no... He didn't even look at my phone and somehow he had information on his "DOS" system that told him no. Very odd customer experience, I felt awkward and startled that this wasn't honored, It was literally $30 less than the original marked up price. Baffled. Now i'm one for local business and obviously i'm not trying to be a good person because I buy local... I just love personal connections when people are trying to sell me something. I love conversations and solving things, I respect and value Canada computers, but not anymore... I rather not have the hassle of dealing with that cashier who just says no when it would be the right thing to just take my money and move on the next sale. Because honestly whats a 30$ markdown to your company anyways, plus you made me come back in the future... Now i'm not i'm going to shop somewhere else, That has the same customer service but will honor price matches. Improve your customer service. Motivate your team to be competitive with other company (not each other) Stop saying NO to customers because they wont make good commission. Improve your standards on price matching. Seems like Canada computers is the new future shop.... We all know how they did. Get with the times.
Any time I have been here the staff has always been helpful and knowledgeable. Fair prices. I prefer the personal service of a smaller store.
So disappointed! After many years of purchasing items from this store, spending thousands of dollars I swear I will NEVER step a foot in the Barrie location ever again. The inconsistencies with their return policy from one staff member to the next is insulting. The restocking fee tells me that the company either is struggling or that gouging money from their customers is profitable. We have been charged several hundred dollars over the years with returns. Recently my son was charged any EXTRA 10% because he was missing a cardboard insert, so in total 20%. Really? When I phone to speak with the manager to ask him why my son was charged the extra fee he makes it seem like he did him a favour and tells me that he made a decision as a manager to take it back and put money back on his card. He stated that this is not policy and that it typically would be store credit or exchange only. He also told me that on the receipt it tells you that motherboards are exchange or store credit only. News flash Mr. Manger... it doesn't! Maybe you should read your receipts. Suggestion to any parents that are allowing their children to buy parts from this store... be present as they will take advantage of their age. So disappointed!
Decent selection of computers be found here... The only issue is when it gets busy it's hard to find an associate to help you. Prices are fair... On par with most places.
Expensive and did a terrible job of trying to resuscitate my computer.
Always good service and intelligent replies to questions
Grat place great atmosphere good service 5 stars all day
The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable, and able to answer questions I had regarding a system and its compatibility with some of my existing hardware.
Helpful staff, excellent selection and prices.
Staff were an amazing help , no OVER SELLING involved. Assisted with all the info we required. We WILL continue to patronize the establishment, knowing that we will leeve with what we require and not what they are trying to push off their shelves. Today spent $110.00 next trip it may be $300.00 but we will feel confident that that purchase is required. Thank you. Colin Campbell
Some of the staff can be a bit "snobby" for lack of a better word about their tech knowledge. However generally able to find someone nice and willing to work through your purchase options with you. Usually well stocked.
Helpful staff good price
do not bring your computer in here, who knows when you'll get it back ? I brought mine in a while ago , supposed to be 2 days max....5 days later to download windows 10 ( and did not download properly) ! my computer still not the same ...
Employees are commission based regardless of what they tell you. They earn upwards of 25% of the warranties they sell. NEVER BUY WARRANTIES. Warranties are the only reason the company is able to stay afloat. They are pure profit for the company and they prey on customers not knowing how useless they are. An employee would rather rip your money out of your budget for the warranty then make sure you get the strongest system available for your budget. If you purchase a $200 extended warranty on a product, $50 goes straight into the salesmans pocket. Most warranties only help with shipping but in the case that they cover repair good luck working with CC as they will try to screw you out in any possible loophole. It's unethical and down right criminal. Feel free to shop here but just don't buy the warranty
These guys were awesome. Would recommend to friends and family.
Ill never spend another dollar there. Parts are overpriced and their return policy is garbage. Ive spent thousands over the past 2 years trying to support a local business. They refused to exchange a $500 monitor because it was a little passed the date. Its been broken since the day i bought it and i even mentioned that to an employee last week when i spent another $300 there (but i forgot to bring it that day). They would rather lose a loyal customer than do the manufacturer's return themselves. They couldve even offered to loan me a monitor while that one get's fixed. They couldve done a number of things. But instead they watched me and my wallet walk out of the store for the last time.. there's /always/ better deals online, and amazon consistently goes above and beyond to make sure youre satisfied. Never going back.
Amazing customer service
Great service here. Staff very helpful with computer issues, upgrading, helping choose the right computer for you. Also services computers.
Great service !
Like a buffet of parts. Enough for a complete build.
Nice to have a place to actually look at PC parts.
Got a gaming rig set up., helped me in store with minimal issues, friendly staff. Obviously the cheapest alternative to building everything yourself from scratch and still saving money. Paid like 70 bucks for labour for a bit of help to put together a beast of a PC, geforce 1080, i7 etc...
Good selection
Build your own computer. The staff is up to date on the tech and they will help you find the best components for your specific needs within your budget.
My favorite store for pc parts. Good prices when on sale
Good customer service. They were very helpful. Made sure we got what we were looking for. Good job, keep it up.
The staff was friendly and willing to help. However, product knowledge was poor. I asked three different people questions about wireless products that they couldn't answer. The tech at the repair desk was more knowledgeable, but far busier. In the end, it took longer for me to shop, I had to Google for answers, and finally had to take a chance with my purchases. I was able to set up my network as I wished to, but had to figure it all out on my own. The Canada Computers in Ajax (where I lived until two months ago) had far more knowledgeable staff who could always answer the most technical question I had. I have given a three star rating for the aforementioned reasons. I will go back again though, and should my opinion change I will change my rating. Nonetheless, I would still recommend this store to the average user.
Amazing! So knowledgeable and well stocked.
This place is great. Friendly service and they are super helpful as well as honest. Highly recommend.
I love this store. The staff are helpful and knowledgable, and the ability to get parts and the odd stuff that I use to build my network, computers, gaming systems, etc are completely up my alley. The choice offerings can get confusing and the website is really cluttered, but overall this place is great!
iPad was dropped off fir a screen repair and was told it would be 2-3 weeks, 7 weeks later actually got my iPad back. During that time their customer service was horrible for the first 5 weeks. When I went to pick it up they changed their storey and said that all repairs can take 8 weeks and we're expecting me to pay full price. I was then made to wait another 30 min before they could find someone to help me as the manager was not in the store. Will NEVER go there again.
Very knowledgeable staff! Appreciated the help selecting cables I needed to have dual monitors set up for my spare computer.
One of my most favorite computer stores to visit and support with my dollar
If no stars was an option. Husband placed an order for pickup the night before. Had not heard from the store other than the confirmation by 1pm the following day. Went to the store anyway. Ignored by staff. Found what we were looking for. $22.99 online. $18.99 in store, no sale tags which would explain the difference in price. There were 5in stock online. (available in store), he grabbed 3 (the same as his order). Go to counter. The cashier called someone over because technically they didn't have the stock because it had been ordered the night before. The person called over said "Just cancel the order. He's here with money right now" Wow. It's a good thing it was my husband's order they cancelled. Which they didn't know. Disgusting customer service.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Good prices.
Great experience at Barrie’s CC. Went in for printer toner, incredibly nice gentleman named Patrick helped me find what kind I needed and ordered it for me. Helped me with various other problems, very helpful and knowledgeable. A+ customer service at this location
I bought a laptop. Service was great. Price was awesome. On sale.
The friendliest Canada computers I have ever been in. Great staff
Went into the Barrie store to get a box of 1000ft network cable and keystone jacks to finish a wiring job and came up empty... They used to always have this stuff in stock in multiple colors, now nothing. Went online to see if another store had it, and they were out nearly everywhere except out west and only a couple Keystones online... terrible, always used them in the past, gonna have to find somewhere else now
Canada Computers Barrie is a huge well stocked treasure trove of tech. Staff were very helpful as soon as I stepped into the store. This has not been my first visit and I find this to generally be the case. I would recommend any one of my clients or friends look at Canada Computers when they are in need of a purchase pertaining to desktop/laptop computers, printers or other peripherals. Thanks for the continued great customer experiences guys!
Good deals, decent service
Sells open box items at full retail price.
Can't return items you bought before Christmas the day after Christmas, make sure you call so you don't come all the way in and waste your time. I'm never shopping here again.
The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and honest with their opinions.
Good deals on great products.
Good assortment of computer parts and other electronics. Reasonable prices and accurate inventories on website most times.
I've visited plenty of Canada Computer locations in Canada, ranging from the store in Vaughan to the newly opened Quebec store. All the stores never fail to daze me, however the Barrie location holds a personal value none of the other stores have being that it's a few minutes away. The staff are there when you need them and offer great advice, often suggesting better products that benefit in the long run, this great service has been present from my first visit and my most recent visit just last week. Whenever I walk in and ask an employee for something I'm searching for, nine times out of ten they have that exact product in stock, and when it comes to price matching, they're fairly reasonable, it's completely understandable that they don't compare with Amazon or other solely online venders, however, when you find a price that's better in NCIX for example, they price match without an issue. Overall I absolutely adore this location, the people are friendly, the services are great and whenever I walk out, I walk out with a smile, knowing that I'll be back sooner or later.
Great friendly staff .always answer your questions and they truly make shopping for a new computer an enjoyable experience
Thomas Helped me with a defective product in a friendly and fast manner when I should of contacted the company for a replacement he replaced it in store instead of turning me away. They have beenthe only place I trust with all my computer needs for over 5 year's
Best place for pc parts and entertainment.
Love this place! Thanks Mike.
Friendly customer service, professional advice and honest answers to all of your questions. This is the store to use when you need computer parts and services. They even recommended solutions that saved me money.
I went in looking to purchase an m.2 2242 ssd for my laptop a relatively simple task but this store has made it a pretty difficult task. Their website said that Barrie had 4 of these drives however when I went in they had none, furthermore the employee I was dealing with after waiting for almost 20 minutes attempted to sell me a sata ssd stating that all laptops took this type of drive. When I informed him that mine only took an m.2 he told me I did not know what I was talking about and that he was a professional so he knew more than me. So me being a bit of a smart fellow pulled out my A+ N+ sec+ and ACMT cards and told him I knew alot myself having all of these certs and a 4 year bachelor's degree in computer science. He then told me they were probably fake as he sees that alot and that I either purchased the 2.5 inch sata ssd (for a unit that only accepts m.2) or I leave the store. I strongly recommend that you avoid this place as the employees seem to be rude and a tad high of themselves. My next issue came from their advertising. They stated on ALL of their Chromebooks that they ALL had Android application support, which is incorrect. Some of them will have it later in the year however most are A too old or B plain not supported. Next came the cleanliness of the employees. Both employees I was dealing with simply reaked. The only who was so adamant about me not knowing anything smelt of body oder and alcohol while the other was wearing so much cologne I had to ask him to move away from me because it was nauseating. Finally the manager is NEVER I repeat NEVER there and their "support team" can never locate him or return a call. Overall if I could I would provide a negative score however Google does not permit that..... yet
Nice layout, great selection, good pricing, just be prepared to fight the employees off if you're browsing as they seem to be overstaffed most of the time.
I want to own like everything in this store lol
Staffs super knowledgeable and ask questions about what u need great prices to expect chairs same chairs 2-3 hundred less online yea you have to wait but prices are worth it
One of the best places in town for computer parts. Also one of the only places that sells thermal compound.
Helpful and knowledgeable staff. Good products.better than buying online
Waited 20 minutes for a cashier so I could buy an ssd. Just buy from Amazon, both companies have gross business practices but at least you won’t have to wait.
Always very knowledgeable staff and willing to help with no pressure like they're trying to sell you something. Helped me build my first computer. Can be a little overpriced on some thing sobi don't always buy from here. Would be awesome if they had a price match and I would shop here all the time.
This place is awesome! Great selection.
Knowledgeable and friendly staff, stocked with all your computer needs.
Best prices for anything computers
An adult playground filled with gadgets, doodads, and awesome stuff. Gamers will love the Gaming area with incredible gaming PC's, chairs and badass monitors.
Good selection, fair prices (some a bit more than market value in GTA)
Just when you thought electronics shopping couldnt get worse..This place still charges restocking fee's. Wow.
Ordered a RTX 3080 for pickup and they cancelled my order, apparently wasn't supposed to be enabled for online order, even though it was, I was literally going to drive from Toronto to pick it up. On top of that best buy had the msi rtx 3070 but I decided to "buy" the 3080 from you guys and now I literally have no card. Just terrible.
Purchased an item here that turned out to have a manufacturer defect. We waited nearly three weeks for a new product and we were treated as if we were an inconvenience for the store each time we called for an update. Our purchase was for $1500 and while they retained the defective product, we were not provided with any sort of credit or evidence that we no longer had the product in our home. Inconsistent communication between each employee we spoke to, and the company in general does not have a very customer-centric return policy. Ultimately our issue was resolved, and the Store Manager was friendly, but this will be our last purchase with Canada Computers. With so many local competitors with better and more customer-centric return policies, shopping at Canada Computers is a risk we are no longer willing to take.
I just built an entire Gaming/Streaming/Music Production PC, bought everything from Canada Computers. For the most part, it was a great experience. Knowledgeable staff, looking out for the customer and not just looking to make a sale. Saved me a couple times, as I almost picked up parts that where either no good or not worth the money. Another thing I like is the constantly changing sales. I saved hundreds by spreading out my purchases until I could buy things on sale. Taking off a star because there were a couple staff who seemed like they really did not want to be there, and it affected the customer service a lot, made me very uncomfortable. I don't know their life stories, but if it's a persistent problem I'd be concerned. But the rest of the staff was stellar.
Knowledgeable friendly staff. Great source for computer components I'm unable to get elsewhere when I need same day.
Staff know there stuff, just didn't have what I wanted.
Great prices and excellent service.
Very helpful and knowledgeable staff, will leave you alone if requested. Usually has the best prices, they do price matching as well.
Great service, knowledgeable staff, and unbeatable prices. This is the reason Canada Computers is still in business amidst a wasteland of failed competitors.
I come here quite often for cables and components that I don't want to wait to have shipped via Amazon. There's always someone to help and the selection is good, I'm never there for long before I find what I need.
Lots of selection, very professional looking store. I come here for any electronics needs.
Terrible returns policy. Most local big box electronics stores all offer 14 to 30 day computer / electronics return policy yet Canada Computers has this 14 day defective unit replacement ONLY policy. Adios, I will spend my money with a store that respects customers money, after all just because someone on the internet says a product is good doesn't mean it will work to the satisfaction of the customer. I have had this returns issue a few times now with Canada Computers so going forward I will just price match Canada Computers sales and purchase from a much better customer service competitor.
The staff at the Barrie location are amazing. They are very helpful and knowledgeable. They have helped me save money and buy better quality products. Overall 5/5
Service is horrible, seemed like I was bothering them with my business. I’ll take my business was elsewhere from now on.
Not the best experiences here, bought an MSI GTX 1070, the fan hits the heatsink, could hear it during games. Went to return they would not accept it, brought it down to another CC in the city, they gladly replaced. Latest nightmare is ordering an SLI bridge, I ordered on the 3rd of Feb, it still is not available in the store as of the 8th of Feb. This is too long of a ship to store delivery, The item is located 40 min down the 400 hwy and the staff at the store does not really care about the purchase or seeking why it is taking this long. It would be nice if a competitor opened a viable store in the Barrie area.
Best choice and prices for computer stuff!
Very kind, straight to the point.
Very kind and helpful staff.
Order placed in the morning, notified it was ready for pickup almost immediately, arrived to pick up, friendly fast service
If you need something quick. When you walk through the door just ask and they will be happy to guide you fast to help you out. Speedy shipping awesome clean location.
Sales guy knew exactly what I wanted and found me an équivalent product with a better price.
Staff is very friendly and helpful. Great selection of products, parts, cables, and accessories.
I love this place! They have really good deals, great products, informative staff and if you need technology, they probably have it! Get on their mailing list and then you will get weekly notifications of the great deals they offer. They also do repairs here, which is something you may be looking for. Once again, great computer/technology store!
Always awesome selection of gear
Great service, great prices, great supply!
Just bought a TP-Link wireless adapter and the part was broken right out of the box. One of the resistors was sheared off of the motherboard and was just sitting loosely in the box. When I called the store less than 30 minutes after purchasing the product they refused to replace the part because it is physical damage to the product. They did offer courtesy shipping back to the manufacturer for them to replace it but right now in the middle of Covid-19 there is such a little chance that I will get it back anytime soon. In times like this, a refusal to replace the product is ridiculous and disappointing. Normally I wouldn't be this upset and would wait but I needed this card for work and cannot afford to wait to get a new one from the company... -_-
Good prices but the staff is slow and seems more interested in playing with computers rather than helping you. Person who identified himself as the manager was actually quite rude to us and seemed more interested in selling hire priced products to us rather than the one we inquirer about.
Great, knowledgeable, and fast service!
Very unprofessional customer service. Called earlier in the day to ask if I could get an item from their Brampton location shipped up so I wouldn't have to make the 1.5hr drive along with the extra risk of being in a COVID hotspot and was told "yes that should be fine, come in and make a deposit for the item and we can get it brought up here". Came to the store a few hours later and was abruptly told that there was no way they could do anything since it was a Black Friday deal. When I was on the phone the item was totally fine to order but as soon as I make the 30min drive to the store it isn't? I left the store feeling like I did something wrong.... Rudest customer service I've experienced in a long time. Won't be returning to this store anytime soon.
I had bought the wrong upgrade for my computer, and so I went in for an exchange. The process went without a hitch, and within moments I had the part I needed. The staff were very nice and patient, knowledgeable, and offered assistance when needed precisely.
Terrible customer service
Great place to buy computer stuff. Friendly and helpful staff.
The staff was helpful and sold a computer to my daighter and set it up for her. They knew there stuff.
Had my computer built her and only had a couple hiccups that led to be something I did anyway. Show up to the store and Mike I think his name is has always helped me out and shows me what I did wrong and how to correct it. Good guy. Never charges me so I always try and buy stuff here to make up for it..
Great place staff very helpful and knowledgeable.... My go to computer store.
My favorite place for technical and computer supplies. Unfortunately they didn't have what I wanted this time. The staff are very helpful and found the next best thing for me.
Extremely pushy staff must be because of a commission on their products, and the pricing is easily beatable by Amazon or newegg but it is cool to be able to walk into a store like this
Best deals around
Customer service is great here.
It's a little expensive, but you have every electronic you need. So if it's a emergency this is the place.
Please avoid this location at all costs, absolutely horrible service, I witnessed a mother trying to pickup her order with an online receipt and the staff were completely unprofessional. This is a time where we to to come together and help one another, you have your policies, however that does not mean we should not use common sense. Don't create problems just to evoke negative emotions and terrible customer service for consumers. You guys should be embarrassed.
The phone never is available and when it is the guy answering the phone is in bad mood!!!
Fantastic customer service and support
Bad customer support. Going downhill these days. So they won't sell you graphics cards, only prebuilts with new cards. That way they can charge you scalper prices.
Great store for computers and computer parts
Always has what I need in stock and often has lower prices than what you'd see online - even on cyber Monday!
Store is ok. I wish the employees could track orders better. Seems hard for anyone there to figure out. I'm surprised a computer store has such a hard time using computers
Repair department tech was super! He was very knowledgable and thorough when troubleshooting my overheating problem.
Scam return policy - Horrible service staff that try anything in their power (and i mean anything) to not repair the product under warranty. Save your hard earned money and shop elsewhere. Bigger companies like Best Buy aren't going to think twice to make a return.
Great place, friendly employees.
Great selection of unlocked phones & comp accessories. The staff know their stuff
This place is great! The staff is very knowledgeable and polite and they typically have what you need in stock. This is always my 1st stop for my PC parts and accessories.
Friendly staff, really helpful with my purchase and answered questions on everything I had before I made my purchase. Also came to pick up an online order, and the staff processed it quickly and professionally. Nice selection of electronics! So far my best CX experience
Great computer part and electronics store! Great prices, knowledgeable staff. Every part you need to build a custom computer!
Fantastic service. The gaming zone have latest collection and love that collection.
Nice while in the store but product cheap or employees cant get it right. Went down to barrie 45 minutes first time and we looked up computer cord spec. Got home didnt work went down a s3cond time with my computer tgis time and purchased 2 cords 1 they tried 2nd they said was the same. Get on the job today and CORD DOESN'T ###### work. Another half hour to go get 1 that does. So pissed. I phone and all they say is you can travel 1.5 hours and we will give you a refund.
I would give them no stars if I could. What legitimate business still charges restocking fees, and only one day after purchasing a laptop they assured me would be useful for my purposes (which it was not, it was cheap garbage not worth the $1200). And for a cherry on top, they tried to say I damaged it. Sure I did. In that one day out of the box. Complete idiots, avoid this place like the plague.
Clean well lit store. Shelves stacked. Staff are proactively helpful and friendly.
Very knowledgeable tech helped us put together a great system
Fast and friendly service
Often cheaper than the big retailers for all my computer needs.
staff is great at the store. don't order online find what you want on the site and if in stock and call the store for them to hold it. online sale is horrid never again. because of this 4 of 5 stars
Best computer store in barrie.
I was traveling to Canada and my travel mouse died. I really needed one and began an internet search for the closest store that might have one and this place was close so I dropped in to see what they had. Really great store dedicated to building computers. I am so envious of everyone up here as there is nothing like it back in the states. Bestbuy has nothing on this place. Everything is internet shopped down there and you don't have the wonderful service this store has. You lucky dogs! You have no idea how good you have it. Oh got a great travel mouse cheaper than if I had bought it on Amazon.
Canada Computers always has what I am looking for and at a good price. Their staff is very friendly, well-informed, and ready to help.
Even with the restrictions, the staff still offer amazing service!
Friendly and knowledgeable staff that will work with your budget and let you know about sales going on.
Friendly staff organized layout.
Great service and excellent prices, will be returning soon.
I just dropped my computer off for some upgrades and service today and dealt with Connor, he was super knowledgeable and helpful with all of my questions. Highly recommend this store for all needs with your computer
The only Canada Computers I've gone to where the staff is super helpful and friendly.
Big selection, prices are good & bad depending on what you want.
Employees failed to explain warranty or return policy. Dont allow you to buy and pickup a computer later. And the heating is way too high.
Prices are within reason, stock is good, and staff are friendly
Don't get the in store warranty, everything they say about it when selling it to you is false. They'll take just as long as the manufacturer to get you taken care of.
Excellent store and friendly staff that really know what there talking about.
Excellent staff and excellent products
I take my boyfriend here when we get in fights and it makes him happy. We love this store. Great service. They are there when you need them but don't bug you the whole time you are shopping!
Canadian, kind staff, great selection including things not found as often like Motherboards
I was very disappointed with the service I received. I will no longer be dealing with your company. You just lost a loyal customer to the horrible quality of service that was provided by one of your retailers on this day. I will be spreading the word around of this situation that happened.. "The customer is always right" but that was not shown today to me. Goodbye
They were cheaper when they only had a couple stores. You're better to order off Amazon.
I'm wish there were half-stars. I would rate 4.5. As there are not, I'm going to give them the benefit of the doubt and rate it 5. Overall, it was a good experience. I came here in order to buy a new laptop. I spent quite some time with Reyse who helped guide me through the process. He was kind and helpful. When I had questions he couldn't answer, for the most part he found an answer for me by asking coworkers. At checkout, Crystal was very happy to help, and made the process effortless. She was also very nice and a pleasure to speak to. However, despite an initial 5* experience with Reyse, when it came to offering me a protection plan he stated some things which were incorrect/misleading. I can only assume that it was due to a lack of knowledge. Unfortunately, this was a bit of tarnish on an otherwise stellar experience.
Good prices, great staff!
Great staff. Lots of in store displays and products.
Nice and clean place. NEEDED a rack mount 48 port router. Found one. Bought one. Walked out happy. But then again isn't that what stores are all about? I digress. Nice place.
Excellent store for the well informed consumer who is up to date on technology.
Helpful and friendly staff. I visited three times in a two week span and twice I had the the what appeared to be manager check me out and of all the staff he was the exception to the helpful and friendly. He had a mean mug on and appeared to have no interest in his job or his customers. Switch him out hes done
Always helpful service - Thanks!
hope you don't have a problem with a product cause the service guy will say its fine and make u pay 10% restock fee
The products were ok , out of stock on the printers I wanted , the staff was not very attentive and a little dry.
Good spot for parts and service at a reasonable price.
Literally awful, sold me a broken product and when I returned for help, instead of being understanding they argued with me and acted like children, the staff are all horrible and the manager is an argumentative clown. They wouldn't give me a refund despite that fact that I had spent 3.5K on a setup and it took 10 days for them to finally care enough to even look at it... The worst customer service I've had anywhere and awful attitudes all around, I highly recommend going anywhere else... literally ANYWHERE else for products or help with any tech-related questions or inquiries. Don't buy from them...
The staff is greatly knowledgeable, and plentiful. The prices are a bit high, but the service is worth it.
It's a pretty nice place. Many of the people there are friendly, just be aware of what you're looking for before you buy, and be confident, not confused- Salesfolk like that sort of smell.
Staff can be misleading at times. Selling open box items as though they were new. OK place if you need hardware today and don't feel like waiting or saving money using Amazon, Vuugo or anyone else. Their return policy is also a joke so be prepared for a huge hassle if you want to return anything, even within the 15 / 30 day return window. Honestly, save yourself the headache and purchase anywhere else.
Canada computers is place to go for computer accessories. All the people working there are veey helpful.I got my laptop battery from them. I had orderd online and picked up in store. I also purchsed my laptop charger at veey cheap rate. They have so many used items like laptop, tablet and mobile. Please visit this place if you have want anything related with computers.
This place doesnt back there stuff I tried returning an item i ordered on their website they said they couldnt return it because it was special ordered and that they dont normally carry it. The service agent claimed that it should have told me when i purchased it however it didnt say that when i purchased it on the website aswell as didnt say it on my paperwork either. I will never shop here again and my best suggestion for people is to stay away unless you want to get the run around.
Always a fantastic spot to pick up PC tools and hardware in a pinch, and Natalie was great in making sure I had everything I needed.
Horrible customer service, waited over 5 minutes for someone to acknowledge the fact I was there and needed help, they were too busy talking among themselves, and only came to help once they noticed my husband had walked over to me - both of us got the impression they only came over because of him being there. Spent 31 minutes in the store trying to get help in different parts of the store before I got sick of waiting and ended up ordering everything I needed from Amazon.
Great selection and prices for a brick and mortar store, but the staff could be a little friendlier.
Only reason why it's 2 stars is because they have a lot of items there. It's easier than just ordering something. But boy do I have to say. Bought headphones, never opened the box and couldn't return them. There's a restocking fee lol. Customer service is horrible and just insanely annoying to deal with.
The only place for computer parts!
Clean, well organized. Safe, must ware masks. Well stocked.
Great place to find anything you need on the tech side. Staff are knowledgeable and helpful
Whenever I need technology the first place I think of is Canada Computers. This is the most underrated store I've ever come across it has amazing prices, outstanding service, And great staff, I built most of my PC using parts from Canada Computers and its amazing. in my opinion Canada Computers is the best tech store in Barrie 100% Recommend.
It's a big store with a large selection WHEN ITS IN STOCK, expensive ram and most gpus and cpus are out of stock...
Great Black friday deals. Lots of stock and helpful staff.
A wide arrange of electronic products for gaming, casual, or office. Employees are very helpful, polite, and ensure you leave with either a good understanding of your purchases or answers you were looking for in regards to products owned or purchasing.
Great selection of parts and accessories. Staff are friendly, but clearly sales driven. When I built my computer I got up sold on a couple parts, but I got talked out of buying a better CPU fan. Later I needed to upgrade and the same guy sold me a fan that didn't fit my case. It showed he only knew a bit more than me. Not great when spending thousands. In short, have all your part choices set in stone before going.
I went through get a monitor expecting to spend $200 but they recommended a monitor for $150. Great service with curbside pickup.
Helpful staff, I received some accurate and friendly advice. They have a wide selection a of great stock on esoteric computer parts but terrible return policy. Restocking charge applied for a part not open or needed.
Great spot with lots of inventory. Priced matched a big ticket item I purchased tonight and also let me use my Canada Computers loyalty points to save even more. The Cashier was very nice and went out of her way to get the price match done. Great service.
Company hates price matching, good selection.
It was ok but frustrating with the covid19 precautions
Good prices. Staff assistance could be better.
Horrible service and inconsistent return policies. My biggest problem is the “Re-stocking fee”. Nothing posted at the check out about this policy. Nothing mentioned at the checkout. Their pivot is that their policy is in the receipt (actually refers you to their website). Bull. What is on the receipt (which you might read AFTER your transaction) is an “agreed to” section with a spot for your signature. By the nature of you 1. Not being aware of it. 2. Not signing and agreeing to their BS policy. But hey, if you want to buy something, find out it is faulty and lose a yet to be determined % re-stocking fee (no % listed) go ahead. ????
I feel like I got hosed
Always find the computer parts we need. Been going to Canada Computers for 15 years when you had to drive to Toronto. The Barrie store is well stocked with knowledgable staff
Staff are awesome. Not as well stocked as the city stores but the best place for parts or repairs.
Cool people ????
I work in IT and just found this place not to long ago. It is a great place and I love coming here. They have almost everything I need which is a lot more than I can say for other computer stores. The prices that they have are very reasonable. I always look forward to coming here. Some employees need to work on their customer services but that’s understandable since they are all computer geeks.
Got what I needed. Service with a smile
I don’t recommend buying refurbished anything. But as for cords and accessories and adapters, this place beats amazons prices and has good sales. It’s kind of like a better “the source”
I've brought my PC to this location multiple times and recieved acceptional service. Mike and his team are very professional and work fast.
great service and everything was easy to find
Great place great service
Fantastic staff and selection.
Went for a computer chair, but sadly they only had 4-5 models out to sit in and actually test. They have a no return policy on chairs and when you're spending $500+ on a chair, you want to be able to sit in it and try it before buying. That being said, once I managed to find a sales associate, they were very helpful with listing chair dimensions and helped me pick a great chair.
Busy corner to get to on the weekend, but they always have what I came in for.
Ignorant and Dismissive Management I’ve come to this store on multiple occasions,in fact I brought my last computer and Nass from here but you can't always find staff that know what they are talking about and if you ask for someone else who might know the became offensive, even the manager was help.
A very wide variety of electronics. Knowledgeable staff.
Great people at Sales and Service. They go the extra mile to provide good advice and customer experience. A+++
Very good at explaining what was wrong with my laptop and paid attention to my laptop as well as handled other customers near me very well.
I'm probably their biggest source of income at this point. The people there are friendly enough for the most part. Prices are high compared to any online retailer like newegg. Stock is low. There's a lot of empty shelves where there could and should be product to give you some actual selection.
Great help, Great staff lots of products and good cost.
They watch you like you are stealing. I feel uncomfortable. Guess they have too. My husband loves the store.
Staff is polite and knowledgeable. Store is clean and well organized.
no helpful response time from staff. we left without discussing the laptops with anyone
Knowledgable employees...for all your tech stuff
I wish I had another choice of computer store but this is the closest to me, garbage service, everytime I call to track my order they give me no information and leave me on hold for 15 mins???? it’s a joke but it’s what’s available.
Always helpful. Good prices.
Made a purchase a few weeks ago. Had some problems and missing parts. Took some back and forth and about a week with their covid policy's but they did make it right and the computer is working great.
Great Service from a gentleman named Lucas
the Bro Gamer - Pro gamer and Friend to Captain Solo. Purchases' ALL of his computer parts from Canada Computers - f price matching if you get 111% service EVERY time!
Bought a new tablet at a great price and it was a little glitchy. So I returned it with no problem. Staff are knowledgeable and friendly. Good selection and prices
Good service from mostly knowledgeable staff. Good range of products for fair prices. The only complaint is stock levels can be quite low at times so call ahead if you are looking for a specific item.
Great place!! Friendly staff!!
Good selection of parts, accessories and cables.
Lots of amazing selction
Worst experience, been a customer for a while, spent a good chunk of money at that store. Never coming back.
Staff needs to be relax and friendly a bit
I've never gone in and not be able to find what I'm looking for. The staff can usually help me with any questions I have.
Very knowledgeable techs, large selection of parts and accessories
Always gives me great service!!
Helpful team. Very informative and happy to help. Alright stock
Always helpful and informative.
I got what I needed and got it quick, staff knows what they're talking about too. "Finally, someone who speaks English." Tony Stark
helpful staff . large selection of products
Forget Best Buy for your electronics and come here!
Able to get what I needed at a good price
Great prices, staff is helpful. I prefer the stores over Amazon.
go to computer store, printers, parts, monitors, everything !
Staff is always helpful. They can answer advanced questions to simple ones. They can help you upgrade your pc at home or buy a pre made one. I've used this stole hundreds of times. From building my own rigs at home they've helped me check out the specs to make sure I'm getting something right for my pc.
Mike the lead tech is a master.
Very helpful staff, well informed and knowledgeable.
Poorly trained help or else trying to trick you on how things work. Worst return policy of any store I've dealt with ever.
Great service they found the 200' cat 6 cable I needed in no time and very reasonably priced.
HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE FROM THE CANADA COMPUTERS STORE ON BRYNE DRIVE IN BARRIE ONTARIO TODAY,HEAD MANAGER OF THE STORE IS VERY UNPROFESSIONAL WITH HIS EXCHANGE POLICYS AND ""NEW"" COVID POLICIES THEY EXPLAIN TO YOU ONCE YOU GET TO THE STORE TO RETURN AN ITEM.THIS GUY REPEATEDLY DISPLAYED ATTITUTE TOWARDS A 17 YEAR OLD BOY!!EXPLAINED THAT IF THE MANUFACTUER MADE A MISTAKE ON THE ITEM YOU COULDINT EVEN GET A REFUND BUT A LOWSLY EXCHANGE FOR THE SAME ITEM.WHAT GOOD IS THAT? IF IT WERE UP TO ME I WOULD TAKE MY MONEY AND GO ELSEWHERE!! HORRIBLE STORE WITH HORRIBLE CUSTOMER SERVICE. BEWARE! IF YOU BUY SOMETHING YOUR PRETTY MUCH STUCK WITH IT TILL COVID19 IS OVER TOTAL BS. ALL OVER 40$ SPEAKERS THAT DIDINT WORK WITH MY SYSTEM
I find the staff very helpful in this location.
AWESOME location. If you need ANY PC components, they have almost everything most people would want on hand, and at a good PRICE. If they don't have what you need in store, they can order it into their store (or you can get it delivered to you from their website). Staff are super friendly and very knowledgeable (a LOT LOT more knowledgeable compared to most Best Buy staff for example). If your looking to buy a PC or have one custom built, they will 100% be able to provide exactly what you want without trying to break your wallet. Their extended warranty is actually great, and a far more reasonable price than other stores. They have a direct replacement with their warrenty, where if you have a defective item, they will swap it then and there instead of shipping through the manufacturer warrenty and waiting a month. That alone may be worth it for some people. Over the past few years, they purchased the store next to them, knocked down the wall and expanded the store. New renovations make it feel more fancy and large. If you're thinking of going to Best Buy for computer/electronics related items, check out here first.
Bestest place for PC stuff
Helpful staff
I used to shop here all the time but since my last experience i am never going again. I brought back my Vive i got about 20 days ago (Christmas day) because one controller LED was not functioning properly. Also the button would only power the device on, not off. But it functioned the same as the other one, with no problems at all with detection or tracking. When i brought it there the guy at the desk said it will have to go under some inspection and it will take some time. I said no problem go ahead i hardly used it. He did his inspection with his buddy in the back room and they said they saw some paint "chips" and damage. We argued this that whatever, i asked what he could do for me. He said he could send it in to Vive but i had to get the shipping forum/ information from them and Thats all by email. I then went on my phone and went on Vives website and got into a live chat. I told them the information they said to try a few basic steps before shipping it (why not). First thing they asked is it detected by PC via USB. YES it was but i asked the guy at Canada computers to plug it in and see. after some convincing they did it and It was all good. so Vive asked me to remove the firmware doing a very basic thing with remote. i asked them to plug it into their computer and they said they don't have a computer that they can plug that into. I was the only customer in the store. So they were not busy. But to busy to help a customer with a vive apparently. Edit: went to the one in Newmarket. Completely different store when it comes to the staff. To make a long story short they took my vive for direct replacement right away. I was in and out within 15 minutes. Don't go to Barrie.
Employee's are helpful, that's all you need to know. This place is good.
Helpful, no price matching.
Extremely knowledgeable staff and friendly salespeople very pleased with all the service I've got have been many times and will continue to return
Amazing helpful staff and service!!!
I placed an online curbside order I waited an hour with no luck when i called them they said that they were done processing orders for the night. Disgusting customer service won't be ordering with them
Wasted 45 minutes in line with NO signage saying "online order, and phone order pickup only" Multiple other people wasted their time too because the only way you find out its phone pick up is when you get to the front of the line and they tell you.
Knowledgeable staff decent pricing but 911PCrepair.CA is a much better place to get your stuff fixed
I've attended this location in the past and the staff has been outgoing and helpful. Today I had some questions about routers and the technician was helpful and took the time to answer my questions to guide me to a solution that was best for my situation. No sale was made but I would return knowing how they treat their potential customers. Need more service such as this in other companies to be more available.
I wrote a bad review a couple of days ago and I now take it back. It took a while but they solved my problem and I am happy now.
Always a great store to check out! Staff are very smart and will recommend you something that actually fits what you need.
Came in to ask a few questions and potentially buy a few pieces for my new PC, was met with the cold shoulder and one or two worded responses and some seriously mean looks. I have worked in customer service for a long time and have never let a bad day affect my attitude towards a customer - this is inexcusable and unacceptable. I will be taking my business elsewhere from now on. There are much better prices online anyway.
The place is nice. Well organised and helpful staff. Selection is sometimes limited based on product, but their house brand ICAN provides a good variety. Great place for c gamers to get hardware and peripherals.
Sorry guys, gotta call you out on this. Ordered RAM several weeks ago and still haven't received a call. Enough said!
This location has been great to me over the past 5 years. Always have what I'm looking for. Decent prices. Also willing to price match on the odd time it's needed. The service department took the time to diagnose my PC issues very fast just before closing. I returned the faulty part and had it replaced immediately, PC runs fast and issue free now thanks to the service department. Staff usually know what they are talking about. Great place to go and check out fully built custom PC's. Always have the parts needed for my build.
Watch out for overly strict return policies and even worse, final sale during the pandemic. Feels like they're taking advantage of the situation and lack of competition. Been burned too many times buying from Canada Computers.
Very knowledgeable and friendly staff. Did very well at pointing us in the right direction
They have amazing staff and computer parts here. I found everything I needed for Christmas presents in one place. Best prices anywhere. We checked on-line at all the popular places and Canada Computer had the best prices. No need to go anywhere else.
Unfortunately their website states they are open for instore shopping, but this isn't the case. You have to order from online then have to line up outside in order to be served. One employee comes out to look after each customer one @ a time. Get with the program, shopping is normal in other stores in Barrie. Have customers wear a mask if you're worried about covid.
Great service. Friendly employees. They not only helped me find a new PC within my budget, but actually saved me money by suggesting a somewhat cheaper PC with similar specs. I've been buying my computer components and accessories here for years, and I will definitely continue coming back.
Canada Computers does its job for sure. I typically only come here when I need something immediately, as things here are typically at least two to three times more expensive than online/elsewhere. For reference, saw a Razer Blackwidow Chroma here for $220 which is absolutely ridiculous to anyone anywhere. I went to Best Buy down the road and picked up the same item on sale for $99 (usually $149 at Best Buy, $99 online). The cables that would cost me $5-$10 online cost me $30-$40 at Canada Computers. The staff don't have the knowledge I'd expect (although I am a network technician by trade), I asked them where a certain cable was and he told me very confidently "It didn't exist and there's no way anyone makes them" So I proceeded to buy one of the 50 on Amazon for $15. They also have extremely poor warranty practices, I was tricked into buying one once, and it was absolutely not as described. I could not get the $20 disk drive replaced in my laptop, with a $230 (extended) because they wanted to ship it to MSI for 6-8 weeks. I told them I had college starting in a few days and it needed to be done urgently, they didn't care and told me best they could do was if I bought the drive in store for full price they'd install it for free with labor. I would reccomend everyone avoid warranties here, on every single product. If it's going to break, you'll know within the initial return period. I don't reccomend this store to anyone other than those needing a specific piece of technology quickly.
Great staff, good prices, everything tech you could ask for!
Helpful and knowledgeable. I’ve always found everything I was looking for, often with expert help
Very nice and accommodating staff. I placed an order for pickup an hour before they closed and by 10 mins to close i still had not received the email to confirm pickup. I went to the store and asked them about it, turns out my order would be ready tomorrow, but the person working there was able to override the order's scheduled pick time and give me the order same day instead of next day. Really appreciate it, very human. Some other places might have just told me that's how their system works and come back tomorrow.
pretty good guys...service guy is pretty good..have never had an issue with him at all.
I have a couple different experiences to share. First I went to Canada Computers to purchase a Laptop. There I met Patrick. Patrick was super knowledgeable. Listened to everything I needed to say, to explain what I was looking for in a laptop. He did not try to sell me what I did not need, he set me up with a great system. I'm super happy with it and my entire experience with Canada Computers Barrie. My second experience was even better than the first! I called the store with an issue with my son's monitor. Not being a computer guy, I took a while to explain things. I spoke to a couple of the sales guys and tech guys and they were very helpful with trying to trouble shoot over the phone. I had taken some of the work out of the investigation as to what might be wrong with it, then took it to them. They were quickly able to figure out what the problem was, although it was not good news. They gave me multiple options and put no pressure on me to get things moving. After, I had called them a few more times with questions and they were still more than happy to answer them and guide me in the right direction. Thank you, James, Anthony and Patrick for taking care of a not so computer savvy guy. :-) I will definitely be heading to Canada Computers Barrie for anything computers. You've got a customer for life! " Cheers, T. Bydal
Purchased a monitor from their website, that was listed as in stock in the store; for pickup at the store. Heard nothing from them for a full week, called and I was told they did not have the monitor and if I wanted to guarantee that I get the monitor I would have to come in to the store and put a full purchase price deposit on it. So buy it, but not get it until it arrives... maybe.
Great service great selection
To your staff members... just because you are busy and it's 10 minutes to closing time it doesn't mean you get be mean and intimidating with your customers and make up policies that do not exist ... If you're having a bad day make everyone a favour and go home instead of ruining everyone else's day ... Your customer service was garbage and thanks but no thanks I'm not going back there anymore when I'm spending thousands of dollars might as well go somewhere that appreciates my business
Great store, due to coivd. You can not go inside. But the card reader outside is tapped up so you can't see the screen. Poor setup
Great customer service and selection
Always enjoyed the store never any dramatic issues. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I bought a new computer a laptop for my business. The Lenovo machine they had on display was ideal, the price and what I needed were perfect. That being said I took the machine home opened it up to find a phenomenal amount of garbage spam software that was conveniently not on their display model. Moved past this annoyance only to be stalled some times for hour by updates from these garbage programs. I went back to the store explained my grievance and demanded they remove this garbage. They agreed to for 149.00 I found this to be upsetting. I buy a laptop brand new and now have to pay to get it to a point where it’s usable. I thought I was getting a product from a more responsible retailer. I am looking at a new high end machine but I don’t think they will be my first or only choice.
Always have what I need. Helpful friendly staff. Great place to shop.
Stopped by the store to get prices for a new laptop. I was pleased with the level of knowledge from the staff. I ended up purchasing a laptop on the spot. Initially I was hesitant as I read bad things about the manager but he was the guy who started the sale. Friendly with a wealth of information. He then passed me off to a sales assosciate to complete the transaction. Store was clean. Felt at home. Didn't feel pressured. I would definitely recommend this location for any electronics needs or even just advice.
I bought a refurbished laptop from Barrie Canada computers. The laptop web cam quality was so poor (0.9 MP) The sales associate NEVER said anything about the camera when he was selling me the laptop. I called trying to exchange the product with a more expensive option because the webcam is very important for my zoom meetings. The sales associate said they can not take it back because it was opened !!!! I told him it's not a new product. Its refurbished and that he never mentioned anything about the camera. He hang up. And now I am stuck with that laptop. That's totally unfair and unprofessional.
A great place for ram and hard drives.
Always has my computer needs.
Will not sell parts over the counter. Went looking for an ac power jack for my laptop, they insisted I bring them the laptop and they'll install. (I had already removed the jack from my Msi laptop). I'm all for supporting local businesses but I'm not going to be racked over for a 15min repair.
Good deals, very knowledgeable staff
Poor service.
Always have what I need and then some. Decent pricing, great help.
Never had a problem they couldn't help me with.
Dropped off a laptop for repair during COVID... I had to leave it and return a few days later... standing outside in the cold... not a great start to the experience but its COVID, I get that. Unfortunately it took staff 15mins to find it... 15mins to figure out they didnt know what ssd's hard drive it needed... then 20 mins for me to pay a deposit on the repair... Let's hope the rest of this experience is positive
Great selection, OK prices, staff are very helpful
Very helpful staff. Prices are fair. Best selection in Barrie.
They cater towards PC and other gaming but they do carry some other tech like TVs, Printers, routers.
Top-notch people, been dealing with them for years.
Excellent price products . Great selection. Covid-19 safety measures in practice.
Love being able to go to a store and the people on the floor know what they are talking about. Not only that you can easily find a couple who have experience with a certain product. All my PC needs go through them now. 10/10
In and out in a flash, got what I needed, knowledgeable staff..... great job guys.
Great help from Aidan looking forward to working with him on getting all the parts for my future build.
Great service, always same day pickup. Very organized for curb side
This place has very good stock, reasonably priced. I would have given 5 stars because this is really all I can ask from a computer parts store, but they tried pretty hard to upsell. I find upselling a pesky jumble.
Local computer shop. Tons of stock
Joke of a store. Drive to Newmarket and get real service.
Great place to get anything computer related from parts to desks to monitors. Very helpful and knowledgeable staff very polite as well
Built my own pc, was having crashing issues, brought it in paid 40$ for a diagnoses that took two weeks in que/Quarantine, was told it was the Operating System, paid 80$ to have a new one installed, was told it was going to be done, phoned back to see if they had finished days later only to find they hadnt started, was told it would be done by the end of the day and would get a call, waited till the end of the work day phoned them to hear it would be done by the morning. Went in the next day MIDDAY and they hadnt even started, waited in the parking lot for couple hours to take pc home and have the SAME PROBLEM, called back to find they wouldnt refund me, when i specifically asked before the process if they would and they said yes. I then updated the BIOS and fixed the issue myself, this is my first pc build and should have checked that much sooner. BUT how can a pc store do a diagnoses and not see the Bios out of date, and then refuse to refund the money. disappointing. had my original pc build here many years ago and i returned expecting this to be best place to go and was taken back by this, the staff were friendly but this was a frustrating experience to say the least
Someone always willing to help. Knowledgeable and reliable.
Went in to purchase a CPU, motherboard, and RAM. When I asked to pricematch Mike's Computers (a total difference of $60) the manager first got his sales associate to lie to me and tell me Mike's was out of stock on those items, and then when I called their bluff and checked Mike's stock myself the manager got defensive and claimed they only price match local stores--despite Canada Computer's website saying otherwise. Needless to say, I walked out and they lost a $1200 sale (plus all of my future business). Penny wise pound foolish.
Ordered in store pickup on items that were IN STOCK, the items were never set aside. they dont price match on big sale holidays unlike everyone else. you have to be in the store to back order an time, cant do it online or by phone. its cause of this why people buy things on amazon and stop going to brick and mortar
Do not buy from them ! Very low quality and no return !
The staff @ Canada Computers were friendly, knowledgeable & oblidging. I was very happy with their services!
Friendly knowledge staff.. lots of product choice.. Happy with my shopping experience..
Better off with Amazon Just went to the Barrie location. First asked if I could use the washroom before searching for my items. The Rep didn't say a word, kept doing their task, then got up and walked towards the back. I followed unsure where he was going. He then pointed to the bathroom and said there. Ok, whatever. Then I went through the store having a look but didn't find exactly what I was looking for. I asked two people who were working and talking if they could help me find what I needed. The first guy said "I'm not working sales" and ignored me. The other guy asked if it was a quick question because he was helping someone else. Understandable. I wait in line for a sales guy, Aidan is the name on my receipt. At this point I'm a little irritated. I tell him what I'm looking for and he proceeds to point from behind the counter and tell me where to look for it. I've already looked for it. That's why I came to you for help. I mention that I saw something that I was interested in but didn't see the box for it. "We don't have it then". We'll thanks for double checking, seeing when you would have it again, finding something comparable or just generally doing your job. Never coming here again. Amazon would have been better.
I wish i could give 0 stars, refused to refund a broken product only hours after I purchased it. They tried to prove it was working, yet after it still didn't work they said there was nothing they could do for me. You are better off ordering on Amazon, at least they offer customer support.
Great knowledgeable staff great prices
Great store with great and informative staff - Patrick is 12/10 and helped with all questions I had (a lot)
Website shows three phone numbers, 1 is answered saying they have moved and it's not valid to check the webpage, second says the voice mail isn't set up, third they don't answer. Nice.
Been going there for a long time. Good service and good prices. Helpful and knowledgeable staff.
Great staff and super knowledgeable
Some of these staff don't know their own store, I asked for a CM Hyper 12 Evo and they gave me a random corsair cooler for double the price. I later found out the where the cooler I wanted was. When I checked their online website I saw that their GPU was 359.99 (EVGA GTX 1060), so I went in-store to buy it. Turns out they didn't have it which I was fine with but the prices were unbelievable. A GTX 970 for 400 dollars! Not only that but when I received my PC I was downloading the basics (Geforce Experience, Skype, etc) it all downloaded to my SSD. I spent more than 3 days trying to move the SSD files to my HDD. If CanadaComputers staff took maybe 5 minutes to fix this I wouldn't have been sitting here with this unsatisfied PC writing a bad review/experience.
Good place for computer parts and accessories
The staff know their stuff. Fair prices. Helpful.
Mike is out standing computer technician he'll recommend a product for your computer if it's needed. I've had him build my last 2 computers.
This place is awesome. I needed a new router and the staff that first greeted and offered to help was very helpful, and did her best, but when things got a bit more complicated she had the professionalism to go and ask for help from someone who knew a bit more. I REALLY appreciate that. And they don't work off commission so there isn't that pressure. Very wide variety of products to meet extensive needs. Thank you Canada Computers.
Love the staff, they are very knowledgable ,friendly and are always willing to help. The store usually has what I need, but if not they're always willing to order it in for me.
Great Deals, Even better service
Usually great deals at this location. Be weary when buying monitors and some other items as they will bill you a restocking fee on select products even when returning defective items.
Great service, friendly staff. Very helpful and had everything I needed. Love just browsing the store !
My go to for all things computer
Always great technical support.
One of the only places in Barrie I go to when I need anything computer and or Network related. I always check the prices online to compare and this place is even cheaper than amazon or ebay on occasion.
Was third in line on Nov 18 (launch day) to backorder a graphics card. Paid full price of $849 +tax. Waited until end of December and was told they are no longer getting the reference cards and that my order would be switched to a Sapphire card that would cost $1149+tax. Waited and heard absolutely nothing about my order until August when they decided to simply cancel my order because the new model they offered me to switch to was also never going to come in. The only compensation they offered was that I again switch my backorder for a Gigabyte card that now cost $1500 +tax. Note these are all the same 6800xt cards. Over 9 months of holding my money and nothing to show for it then they try and screw me into paying double MSRP knowing I'm desperate after waiting so long. I've been a customer for 15 years and will be shopping elsewhere from now on. I suggest you do the same if you actually want a card without selling a kidney.
They won't sell me parts to repair my labtop. They make you bring it in for them to install and wont order parts until they examine it. I already have the computer apart and with covid they let it sit for 3 days before they even take a look. Im not driving 3 hours round trip to drop it off and then again to pick it up two weeks later when I can do one trip for the part and spend 15min changing it myself. I am very disappointed in their policies and will not be shopling elsewhere from now on.
Greatest store
Great service and prices are reasonable.
come here all the time everyone there knows tons about computers. this is the best canada computers i have been to everyone is so nice even if you dont know what your talking about
The only place to go for real know how and great products. The ONLY computer place i used.
This location was super unfriendly and super small. I was ready to go in a spend thousands but they kept trying to convince me to bring my business elsewhere so I did. I definitely recommend the Vaughan location. This one is horrible.
Got mtp link deco for good price compare to Amazon was more expensive !! Better to buy locally ..
Aside from being the "only" option for any computer enthusiasts in Simcoe County, they are quite friendly and will go the extra mile. They will price match, order and transfer product from other locations. This is usually only 2-3 days tops.
Great customer service from Lucas!
Better selection for your budget than best buy
As always, knowledgeable staff, great prices and service, make this your first stop for tech purchases
HORRIBLE STORE MANAGER!!!! DO NOT BUY FROM THIS LOCATION. MANAGER IS UNPROFESSIONAL, DISCRIMINATE AND IMMATURE. I TRAVELED 1.5 HRS TO PICK UP AN ORDER AND WAS RUNNING 5 MINUTES LATE SO I CALLED THAT I AM ON MY WAY TO PICK UP. UNFORTUNATELY THE PARTS I NEEDED THEY WERE THE ONLY LOCATION THAT HAVE IT IN STOCK. WHILE I HAVE THEM ON THE PHONE WE GET TO THE LOCATION AT 7:03 pm. MY WIFE HOPS OUT OF THE CAR AND THE MANAGER COMEA TO THE DOOR ONLY TO LOOK AT MY WIFE IN THE EYES AND TOLD HER "YOU NEED TO LEAVE YOU ARE A SECURITY THREAT". AFTER CALLING CUSTOMER SERVICE IN RICHMOND HILL, THE PERSON I SPOKE TO OVER THE PHONE TOLD ME TO SEND AN EMAIL. WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE AND WBAT KIND OF BUSINESS IS THIS? CLEARLY THIS LOCATION DOES NOT VALUE THEIR CUSTOMERS. I CANCELLED MY ORDER ($5K WORTH) AND I WILL TAKE MY BUSINESS ELSEWHERE. THE BARRIE STORE MANAGER IS THE WORSE, VERY UNPROFESSIONAL.
Honestly wish I could put lower then one star. Return policy is S**t bought a item which turned out couldn't be used due to a slightly larger heat-sink. When I went to return it was told I can't because "Covid" and was told I was stuck with a 150$ item that is completely useless to me and oh well. No help no ideas no swapping just stuck with it.
I'd suggest not buying a phone off them. Or you'll pull it out looking like a nightmare.
The stuff I needed was cheaper here than amazon and always in stock
Great people who helped me out a lot. They stayed within my budget with no pressure to overspend
The staff here exude awesomeness. Always a great experience.
I get it, its covid but i ordered 2 items that takes 5 mins to grab and its taking over 2 hours to get it. Any other store would take 30mins most to grab an order and have it ready to pick up while dealing with a bunch of customer's. You could drive to ottawa and back to barrie and they prob still wont have it ready.
Terrible customer service! My husband went in to get some help with a computer he bought there a couple weeks back and they Basically told him it's not there problem... and they will not help... We have been faithful customers up until this point but will not be returning after this
Great store, always some sort of sale, sometimes items not in stock.
Staff was helpful but didn't have what we were looking for
Knowledgeable staff always helpful with all of my questions
Avoid this place at all costs. I walked in and bought a brand new laptop yesterday, and it has been stuck in a loop where it won't start up. Clearly some software issues with updates. I went back in this morning, and explained my issues and frustration as this laptop is required for work. They literally held the power button in front of me multiple times to shut it off (which I'm sure the manufacturer recommends them to do as there is an update happening) and never got the laptop to the home page but kept insisting there was no problems and he could fix it in 2-3 hours. I said I will get another laptop and I did not want to keep this one. They mentioned I will be charged a 10% re-stocking fee because there is no issues with the laptop. This is coming from the manager Mikey. As I mentioned I am still making a purchase at the store and it didn't make sense to charge me the penalty, as the laptop clearly didn't work, he mentioned a solution. He told me to purchase something that is more expensive, and he will remove the 10% penalty. Pretty much leaving me in a position where I am loosing regardless of the outcome. I will NEVER be back to this store again, and I hope everyone that doesn't need urgent service to also stay away.
If I could rate this no stars I would I want to start off by saying I hate to put business down or speak ill if I don't need to. However my experience with Canada computer barrie was absolutely terrible and it was the perfect example of how NOT to treat a client. Firstly I purchased my laptop from them less than two years ago and they were quick to sell me the extended warranty on top of the purchase price. AT first I wasn't sure but they guaranteed me the warranty covered a replacement computer if something were to happen to mine. Being a student as well needing my laptop for work I figured it was worth it. I was wrong. three weeks ago my laptop began to have issues and would no longer turn on. I had two exams that week so I quickly called them in barrie and told them my situation. They were extremely dismissive and told me they had no computer to give me in the meantime and it would be weeks minimum before mine could be fixed... Eventually I had to speak with a manager. He offered me a refurbished one in the meantime however he REQUIRED me to give them a $350 dollar deposit despite their standard deposit being $150. He explained it was because it was refurbished and not a loner this is why it was more costly to me. Despite this not being what I agreed to when I purchased the extended warranty I accepted as I had no other options. I left my laptop there and took home the refurbished one. Two weeks of it intermittently working ( randomly turning off, screen flashing in and out) it stopped working. I called them and they mentioned my other laptop was fixed. I told them about the refurbished laptop and they asked that I bring it in, I agreed. Seeing how we are in the middle of a worldwide pandemic I figured the logical & ethical thing to do would be to wipe down the touch points with disinfectant wipe (outside only). Once I arrived the employee at the front immediately told me that it was my fault that it broke and that it was due to "serious water damage" this laptop had been nowhere near water and wasn't working long before I wiped the outside down. i informed him of this and he told me there was " no way i'd ever be getting my $350 deposit back" Knowing I didn't cause the damage made me feel as though they were taking advantage of me and I was never going to see that deposit regardless. The employee furthermore argued with me accusing me repeatedly. I asked to speak with the manager as I felt this was extremely unfair. He was even less helpful then his extremely impolite employee was. I left in tears and out the $350 I should have had to NEVER spend. I felt completely taken advantage of and I could not believe that a company, especially right now would openly steal money from a student trying to get by. I would STRONGLY urge any of you buying computers or electronics this holiday season to make THIS STORE your very last choice for your business. I hope this reaches someone higher up in the company and hopefully they will address this with whomever is in charge of the barrie location because this is wrong. I didn't even ask for my full amount back I just asked for that extra 150 dollars I spent just to get a laptop to use ( which I should of not had to ) I am just overall super upset I am a student !!!! Horrible experience I will be spreading the word for no one to go there!!!!
Trying to build a PC on a budget they can help you .
Well, I paid for extended warranty on things bought in this store. Unfortunately it broke this weekend. I call the store, and am advised that they would be unable to honour the warranty until after their black Friday weekend. I told him that I am coming today, manager responded that I will not be getting warranty today. I am heading to the store now.
Great selection and customer service, been coming here since before they expanded anr their prices have always been competitive. The salespeople are helpful, walking the floor and proactive without being pushy. Wish they carried a few more niche parts like risers and power buttons, replacement screens but you can't have everything and they are happy to point you in the right direction. Only lost 1 point for the loud dubstep music and the clutter of home appliances where they could expand their selection of computer goods more.
Decent selection. Need more people that can check you out for an easy purchase. When behind someone with a full computer system. It can take a while.
They always have a great selection and staff are very knowledgeable
Requiring masks you lost my business.
No one offered to help, it didn’t feel like they were interested in helping, and two employees were behind the counter not acknowledging me. Disappointed in this location because I always get great service at other locations. Wont be coming back.
Great and simple experience. Product in stock curbside pick up was smooth. No concerns. Shopped with confidence.
Pretty good prices, friendly and knowledgeable staff. No real sales pressure. Some cool deals on as well. Lots of selection.
Great store, lots of selection. Not many stores with this many computer supplies, especially gaming hardware. Good little gaming sample stations too with different products and brands to try out. Wish they had more sales and prices to compete with amazon, but still very good to try stuff out.
Always great deals, lots of cool gadgets and the staff are really knowledgeable
Call them said to dive in they could help got their they said they dont oder stuff from online so drove 50km for nothing when they said yes on the phone.
Great place to get your electronic they are knowledgeable and have help me often fix my issues
Awesome service. Friendly and helpful.
Do the job wrong, cant figure out problems (ended up being their fault for the additional problems we experienced anyway). Service was polite and quick, but it doesn't matter if they don't do the job properly :P find somewhere else.
They assured me that the Acer I was purchasing was adequate for what I intended to use it for. That was wrong. The 30 day guarantee to return and upgrade or get a refund was also flaunted as second to none. When I discovered the i3 was less than helpful for my purposes and I tried to return it I hit a brick wall. Didn't have the box with the barcode on it so they couldn't do anything for me. This was never communicated at the time of sale by the floor sales staff. I had the original slip-cover with it's barcode and computer s.n. but that didn't fly. I also filed a complaint on their customer service site well over a week ago and have had no response. Just wondering if the extended warranty has any teeth in it since I chucked the box. Probably not. It's a scam in my opinion and the service desk personnel are anything but helpful. I'll never buy anything from them again. Canadian store or not.
Very friendly & helpful staff! Thank you for helping me with my computer crisis!
OMG. You have your incoming phone on fax setting. ????
Great selection. No complaints.
Friendly and knowledgeable staff. Great variety of components.
Knowledgable
It's to go shopping you're famous everything
I purchased a power supply online for pickup in the store (Barrie). After two days I called to see if I could pickup. I was told it would be ready in an hour. I arrived at the store, 3 customers, 1 cashier, 1 associate assisting a …
Purchased online for store pickup with stock available on Dec 30th. Paid $1500 up front for a new monitor. The order was still processing on Jan 2nd so I called the store. He said yes, they have visibility but "they weren't processing online orders the last few days and they would need to special order this in" ....?! My intent was to pick the product up when I would be there that weekend. I asked to switch the store to somewhere closer (North York). He said sure he did it, please call that store to talk about ordering it in. I called them, they had no idea about the order change (nothing on the system). I called back, he told me it would take a few hours for the system to refresh. Friday evening I log in online and I still see it says "In store pickup, Barrie, processing". I entered online chat and told them I want to cancel the order. This was updated immediately on the website. However, the order is still saying "processing". I followed up Jan 8 asking why the order hasn't been cancelled and refunded yet. They said it takes 7-10 business days before they could expedite a request to cancel. Again, how crazy is that? They have my $1500.. I have nothing.. and I have to wait half a month before I can request to speed them up. I said it's pretty crazy to charge up front and tell me that they need to special order something in after the fact, then tell me it's 10 business days to refund the money. I shopped with Amazon, Newegg, Mike's Computer Shop and also Bestbuy over the holidays. All products I received were delivered within the week and no one charged me until the product was shipped out. I'm fully expecting this shady company to try to charge me a restocking fee for a product I've never even seen, touched or been in the same room with. My next step is to send them a formal letter and report them to Consumer Protection Ontario. I'm sure anyone who has dealt with them has experienced similar bs. Well I'm not taking this bs lying down. There's no excuse in this day and age for a refund on a product I never got to take so long. They've basically stolen from me. They deserve to face a large fine and possibility of jail time to the full extent of the law.
A little slow to tend to in store customers you have to ask them for help vs them asking you. But once they do they are friendly. I asked a staff member about their rtx 3070 stock and he did not know or care what I was talking about.
Great prices and selection. The staff are helpful. Would recommend to anyone !
Great knowledgeable staff. Lots of cool stuff.
Great place to go if you already know what you need. Sometimes employees aren't worth asking as the internet tends to give better answers.
Great selection and attentive knowledgeable staff!
Good place to get your computer fixed
Always great value and High end stuff.
Was my go to for PC parts, had a bad enough experience to turn me off from shopping here again. Unless you absolutely need something the same day or it's sold out everywhere else, I'd recommend new egg or Amazon. 10 years of patronage, gone.
We have been there ( Canada Computer in BarBarrie, On) a few time for our need and SPENCER. G was very professionals with his job, he was explaining everything clearly whatever we need to know....thanks so much for the service
Had issues with my motherboard needing a bios update, Mike helped me out and went above customer service and tried a cpu equivalent to mine to make sure it was working properly. If anyone needs help talk to Mike he is awesome
Prices are good, the guys that work on the floor are fantastic and know there stuff.... The guy that works at the service centre just seems like he hates his job which is a bit of a buzz kill to the other guys there!
by far! the worst Canada Computers I have ever been to. I am not sure if there is corporate standards or not this place definitely needs to be looked at. Do yourselves a favour and drive a small distance away to Bestbuy or another CC. Worst customer service ever! 3 hours of waiting for my order in the parking lot and they continually tell me "we haven't picked your order yet. we are too busy". In that 3 hours btw, they helped 4 people in total. It is not rocket science and should not take more than 30 seconds to pickup on SSD from the shelf let alone 3 hours later telling me "we are too busy and can't get to your order yet". I can't wait until a Memory Express opens in the Simcoe County to get these people to pay attention to customer service.
More relaxed atmosphere then some of other CC. Was able to fine help quickly and they were very helpful.
Good location, knowledgeable staff and a good selection of the latest parts and accessories
They have a good selection of parts for almost all of your computer needs. The staff as been friendly every time I have been in there. The pricing check and price matching can be a little bit difficult but overall the experience I have had here were positive.
Bought a few things such as a motherboard and cpu and Psu. Basically if this store wasn't here I'd use newegg more but I'd rather it be in my hands right away when I buy it that's why I like this place. Just the service is slow at the desk. Like I asked a guy hey can you put me through the till and he's like no only the guy behind the dresk. I understood that but then the guy behind the desk would talk for like 25 mins about like his specs and what he recommended for the last 3 people before me. Like the guys on the floor where doing nothing why don't they direct them to that employee instead of people that want to finish a purchase. Ik this is a minor thing but I don't enjoy being redirected around the store. I don't ask questions I buy and I know what I want what I need and what it needs already before I'm in. I'm in and out. Just better service basically is a need.
Don't bother buying parts from this retailer. I bought a graphics card from which was defective tried to return it within the 2 week period of purchasing it, playing by the companies rules, the staff were rude and very unaccommodating I had to drive to the store thought it would be easy as just exchanging the product, they had to test the card to see if it works, resisted me at every end to exchange my product, had to leave it with them for 2 days with no access to my computer during this time, only later to be told by them that it works even though I still have the broken graphics card, literally had to drive back to the store waste my time and gas to be told I'm not allowed to exchange my product. I hope anyone who reads this sees this and takes their business elsewhere first and last time I will ever buy anything from them.
Very helpful and great service
Helpful staffand decent prices.
went to best buy 1st. Never again. Same thing at Canada computers was $150.00 less. 3rd time going there and not one complaint. Highly recommended
Must have wrong phone number listed called multiple times over the last few days and no one answers the phone
Great place, helpful staff
Greg was helpful and not trying to pressure sell. Lots of selection. Great store. Returning customer.
generally helpful staff. be careful as some of there products are as not easy to return in comparison to most places. they are pretty up front about it when you cash out though.
Samuel was awesome with helping find a graphics card for mining. Honest guy is super knowledgeable. Would visit again 5/5
Extremely helpful staff who made navigating the store easy. Explained the differences between i5 vs i7 like a Wikipedia entry.
Hard because of covid call a head to see if they have what you need in stock.
Good service.Graham was very helpful.
Love, love this store. The selection is really good, the staff know their products extremely well and the customer service is outstanding. If you need your computer cleaned or looking to upgrade then Mike is the best one to talk to. He's bluntly honest but not in a rude way, always professional and definitely knows his stuff. I won't go anywhere else with my computer. Thanks Mike!
The customer support is absolutely amazing if you go to this location ask for Greg he is wonderful. Everytime I go I get 10/10 service and they are so kind. I built my entire PC as well as my girlfriends there and I have no regrets.
Well laid out, with knowledgeable staff. Good prices and frequent deals.
Knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Great service
Had exactly what I needed and the price was excellent.
Rely don't like this place. I've made 2 large purchases $1000+. Both had unacceptable problems and both times Canada computers refused returns. Almost seems as if their staff is trained to argue their way out of return policies whether legitimate or not.
I ordered a computer online and when I went to pick it up they tried to sell me an demo model. I refused and asked them to order me a unopened box from another (Newmarket and Ottawa had ones in stock I checked) two weeks went by with no contact from the store and when I reached out for an update I found they had sold the computer I ordered to another customer. They then offered me another computer which turned out to sold out company wide. Terrible staff do not shop here.
Glad some brick and mortar stores are staying open. Decent selection of components and stock.
I placed in store pick up orders then a week later the orders were cancelled after the sale was over. This is BS and im buying on amazon next time
I received excellent service from Canada Computers Barrie. Patrick the salesman initially helped me a lot and I was especially impressed with Mike in the Service department. He went out of his way to assist me. He was very knowledgeable and came up with very good solutions to my situation/problems/challenges. I feel very confident with the desktop that I purchased from the Barrie store. Of course, time will tell!!! I have no hesitant in recommending Canada Computers Barrie.
Staff was friendly store was clean enjoyed shopping there
Nice persons and good services !! When l have questions for all my computers and printer, just go to ask, and can solve the problems! Thanks!!
Good people to deal with. Took care of my issue with no hassle
