Would of been ridiculously expensive and time consuming if I had gone through another service. In fact I had previously and they didn't truly resolve the issue. But the technician I got from TTT did resolve it.

Unfortunately, I had a bad experience with Ticktocktech, here in Ottawa. Firstly, EVERYONE should know that if you sign up for their $25 coupon, it will only go towards an hour worth of work. They charge $22.50 for 15 minutes of work, so, they will be charging you, at the very least $65, if you have them stay for an hour. They did not mention this on their website, nor when they sent someone to my place to look at my computer. I know enough about computers to run my own diagnostics, and after that did not help, I figured I would try a company to see they could resolve my issue. In the end, the person who came from Ticktocktech did nothing that I have not already done (reboot my computer several times, try to reinstall, windows, going into the registry, and check my task manager to see how things are running). He kept saying "Here's your issue", and when I would say, "What is the issue?", he would deflect and just answer by saying "I just tried something", I would say "What did you try?", and he would give me empty answers like "Let's try it now". The problem with this is that I could see exactly what he was going, and it was nothing. It seemed like he kept elongating the time so that he could eventually get more time to put down. I thought it was fine, since I could use the supposed $25 coupon, but because he was only here for 35 minutes, he said he would charge me for half an hour, and that I couldn't use the coupon. I ended up paying $50 for the time that he spent, and he did nothing to fix my computer. Simply put, I do not recommend this company. Because most people are not tech savy, I feel like they can get away with saying that they actually fixed something, when they just reinstalled Windows, but more importantly, they should be more transparent about what their coupon means.

I had one technician (Yash Gupta) come over to my apartment to retrieve all my files from a spoiled C-drive and he did a wonderful job. Was in the verge of giving up until I met him. I called TIKTOK Tech because my computer had basically died in my mind and was telling me it was a motherboard problem. Mohamad called me almost immediately after my calling the office. He came within a matter of an hour or so of calling and had my computer up and running again in less than half an hour. It was a motherboard problem but one that was easily resolved by unplugging my monitor from the motherboard and leaving it plugged into the video card directly. Thanks so much Mohamed, you were professional and very good at letting me know what you were doing.

I called TickTockTech and the senior tech, Mohamed F., called back in about 30 minutes. I told him the problem and he was at my house 60 minutes later - with full COVID protection protocol. He did a few tests and offered his opinion - one of my DDR4 modules was defective. He gave me two new ones (they should be installed as identical pairs), he had them on hand, and told me I could use them for a week to see if that corrected the problem. I would only need to pay him at the end of the week if they did the job. They did. I asked him for two more memory modules and he brought them to me the same day and installed them. Computer works well Mohamed was a pleasure to deal with. Kept his "Covid" distance. He was polite and very informative. Price was very reasonable - he only gave me what I needed. It was nice to get such good service so quickly. I will definitely recommend him to friends and neighbours.
