I received speedy and courteous service here. I visited on a Sunday morning and the store was already busy. I had a passport photo done. I was able to preview it and of course ask him to retake it! Which he did without any unnecessary comments, just a simple, 'ok, no problem'. Cost was more than Costco but less than Shopper's and there's ample parking. I would recommend.

Techville in Oakville was a wonderful experience! After having massive problems with my PC, I called into Techville and spoke with an articulate and friendly customer service representative. Alex was helpful over the telephone, and gave me a good time for them to come into the store. Upon my arrival they looked at it and came up with a plan to diagnose and fix the problem quickly. Thankfully my problem wasn't major, just inconvenient, and it was resolved within two days. I received a telephone call prior to pick up to explain everything and make sure I was happy. When I picked up and paid for the computer, it had been thoroughly cleaned as well. Alex and the staff at Techville were polite, knowledgeable, and fast in their service. They understand the frustration of when technology breaks down, and work quickly to resolve the problem. I would highly recommend them.

I've never had a bad experience - the staff are always professional, patient and willing to talk through solutions. The work has always been great and it's the first place we think of when we have a tech problem. One time I had to have a speaker replaced in my laptop and a few weeks later it stopped working again, and they replaced it a second time at no charge. Only negative is that they are very popular so sometimes takes a while to get your item repaired, but otherwise a great local find.

I’m doing my best to write a fair review about Techville especially after seeing that the majority of the reviews on here are positive but the truth is my experience could have been much better than it was if the company had simply admitted it was their error from the beginning. I spoke with 2 different employees in the store and they were extremely pleasant and professional. However, after a repair was done without my authorization to proceed, I submitted a complaint to Mohammed, the manager by email. I had to follow up more than once when my email wasn’t replied to and my call not returned. When we did speak, the conversation turned completely unprofessional and spanned 3 phone calls because he had to go back and speak with the owner Danesh twice. I listened while Mohammed told me they would “undo the repair if I wanted a refund” and then asked how much I thought I should pay since they cannot do repairs for free! Seriously? I could not believe he actually said that to me and that he thought I would bring back my phone to have them do more work on it!! When you repair a customer’s product without their authorization to proceed with the repair, it’s a company’s responsibility to make things right. That is the cost of doing business! They finally did refund me only after I refused to give up. I’ve used them in the past and they did great work and I like to support local businesses but this whole experience has made me extremely wary about using their services in the future. It’s a shame because all they had to do was the right thing at the very beginning.

Well. I went there to get my watch battery. I was told it was broken and didn't need a battery. That's odd cause it's only a Cardinal watch.Something about it runs on movement. I have never heard of that. ???? I contacted the seller. And got a refund back. I never heard about mechanical watches before. ???? Thanks for your long explanation. Much appreciated.!

i went to get a passport photo. The photographer told me my ears had to be completely visible !! ( i have shoulder length curly hair) which i wore down and wore down on my last two passports! He told me to push all my hair behind my ears ! I was not happy ( I said really? I have to deal with this picture for 10 yrs ! ) After my photo shoot i went to the Canada Passport Site, and could Not find anywhere anything stating that ears have to be fully visible. So I said to him, I am not seeing that rule listed on this site. He said rather rudely that hes been doing this for years and he refers to a pdf file for the rules, which are updated and that the rules have changed, and that the official passport site is NOT correct!! lol So while still on the site, I clicked opened the link for this "special" pdf file and asked him is this the pdf file you are referring to? it was ! I said well where in this does it say that? it didn't Then he abrubtly says, Do you want another photo? I said yes please!! I really dont want one with my hair all pushed behind my ears. So he took another , and then after leaving the shop I noticed that he wrote on my reciept : "Customer wanted photo with ears not showing" ! Well I went ahead and mailed my pics and docs off to the Passport Office last Tuesday and guess what? my credit card was charged 160$ today---So I guess they did not have an issue with my hair down and ears not showing ,or weren't aware of this "new updated" rule ! What a crazy made up rule this guy (with his many years or experience ) is putting on people! Was not happy with the whole experience at that shop !

I walked in to the store with a non-refundable micro SIM my uncle had bought somewhere. I was looking for the cheapest phone I could get to work with it. Instead, Fernando advised me that I could use the new micro SIM with an old phone I had laying around (designed for the older, larger style SIM card). Even better, he simply gave me the adapter I needed to make this happen. A more crooked establishment would have tried to sell me something, rather than present me with a free option. I appreciate the honesty!

I have gone to Techville on multiple occasions to get my phone screen fixed, I am always extremely happy with the results although I do find the pricing a bit high I do understand why. I recently visited in the last week to fix my phone and with talking to the customer service rep and explaining the ample amounts of times I've been there in the last year, they were more than happy to give me a deal on my phone screen. I am only giving it a 4 star because i had to go 3 times before and pay over $100 and for a student that is not easy money to give away. I appreciated the quick service having my phone always done in less than an hour and a half.

What is the point of singing all your achievements, long business hours and whatever choice awards if nobody is there to answer phone when called on a Saturday at 2pm? See photo of my call log, I tried three times, the call goes on a hold, telling me all about Techville's greatness and then the call hangs itself up! This is exactly what happens when a business pretends and shows off as to be a big company but fundamental operation stays mediocre. Techville in Oakville now is all about spiked up repair costs and no service and I am saying so based on my 18 years experience living in Oakville. I would go to other places offering better services at lower costs and with genuine spare parts. Have a good day.

I was there in 2015 to get my phone unlocked before I boarded my flight. Since I couldn't leave my phone with them, we agreed that I would pay 50 dollars and they would email me my unlock code so I could do it myself during my trip. I wrote down my email clearly and even read it out to the woman behind the counter to make sure she could read it. I never heard from them. Luckily I was still able to get by on my trip but it wasn't great service to take my money for nothing. They could have at least returned it.

Im not one to break things but I had an unfortunate mishap with my cell phone. I leaned on the screen by accident and cracked the glass. I have the LG G3; a very new phone with a special screen. The touch sensitive part is laminated to the class and the LCD screen, so its all one peace connected to the frame. Since this was new to me, I called about 7 or 8 shops. Most of these guys had very poor English and no concept of customer service. I was turned off and dreaded this situation even more. Then I called Techville and spoke to Raphael, what a breath of fresh air. Raphael listened and understood my problem, he even felt for me as I've managed to break one of the most expensive screens. I told him the quotes I was getting at other stores and he offer to mach them. Today, I brought the phone in and met with Raphael, he remembered our conversation and assured me everything would be fixed. I was surprised to hear the phone could be fixed same day. They even had alternative colour choices for my screen bezel. Less than 3 hours later I got a call back from Techville; my phone was completed and ready for pick up. I couldn't believe it. Raphael was there when I came to pick it up and gave me the exact price he quoted me. Everything on my phone works perfectly and I cant complain one bit, like even if i try, I cant say one bad thing about this guy. If you need someone to fix your phone and you want it done the right way, just like factory, then these are the guys to see. They must do a tonne of other electronic services as there were lots of other people in there getting laptops, iPods and phones fixed.

I recently had a serious issue with a lap top that had slowed to the point of crashing each time I would try to install a 2018 Kaspersky program. When I called Kaspersky premium service, they told me it was because of a system problem. When I went to Techville in Oakville, the technician Terry was able to not only install the 2018 Kaspersky program but more importantly was able to salvage all the data and get the computer running again. Terry at Techville Oakville is a very knowledgeable professional. He explained the problem and was willing to stay with the issue long enough to find a solution, where other technician would have given up. THANK YOU TERRY!

Front desk is non professional, and filled with attitude. Not welcoming at all, no smiles and slanky tone.When asked about repairs for my laptop they just blurted out 45 dollars and they do not practice any means of good listening. The tech repairmen at this store have no idea what they are doing. I went to have them repair my charging port because my laptop died due to low battery and would not charge anymore. The repair guy Terry told me that the charging port was perfectly fine, and that the problem was the motherboard was fried and the reason for it not being able to turn on. He then charged me $45 for this diagnostic (that was completely inaccurate) and said that I should just buy a new laptop because it would cost too much to repair the motherboard. I needed the laptop for school and couldn't wait around so i ended up buying a new laptop (which cost $1000 as opposed to just repairing my old one for $50?). I still sent the laptop to another repair shop to have them see if they could fix the problem. All they did was repair the port on the old laptop and it worked perfectly fine again. Therefore do not go to techville as they are well below mediocre. This took place around the last week of December.

Do NOT use these people for computer upgrades. Mine was a simple 2nd hard drive install; switch to Windows 8 from Windows XP; switch from MS Office 2007 to 2013 Pro. Computer wasn't ready for pickup when they said it was - MS Office 2013 hadn't been loaded; had to come back the next evening to get. Then when I got home and wondered where all my personal files were, I discovered that the Techville IT Tech had NOT migrated ALL my files from "C" drive onto new "D" drive. Many of them are gone for good. I'll never go there again. The last time I had upgrades done, I used the other computer store across the street in the Organic Garage plaza. No issues there!

They are crooks! I took my laptop in, paid the excessive diagnostic fee. They told me the motherboard was fried and it would be expensive to replace. I told them don't worry about it and to just transfer my data onto a memory usb stick. I ended up taking my laptop to another tech place a couple months later and they told me the original motherboard and hard drive were replaced. As they did not match the model of the laptop. Shady business, can't trust these guys!!!!

Would give this place 0 stars if I could... Ordered adjustable dumbbells via an Instagram ad back in Feb. it is now MAY, and these weights are nowhere to be found. Not even UPS knows where they are. I guess it is my own fault, I mean look at the pictures of this place... Not even worth the hassle to try and get a refund... It’s either $400 down the drain, or maybe I’ll be pleasantly surprised when these weights show up next year... Not holding my breath though.

I recently brought in a phone that wasn't charging or turning on, but had the empty battery charging image on the screen. I brought it in looking for a battery replacement quote. After quickly examining the phone, they pointed out that the frame was slightly bent, which was easy to see once it was pointed out. After some initial miscommunication about replacement parts to be used for repair, I got back what looks like a brand new phone! This is not a mega-chain type establishment that works within a tight framework of repair guidelines and procedures, talk to them them and clearly communicate your expectations for the repair. If you do, I'm sure you will leave fully satisfied. I certainly was.

The Worst Photo I have taken in my Whole life, Today I went to this store for taking passport photo, they charged me $ 14.99 +Tax=$16.94 (Instead of $9.99+Tax=$11.3 which they advertised). Can not trust this place at all. Upon brining my phone to them they were very fishy with the pricing. I thought that if I were to bring my phone (iPhone 7 with cracked screen) to a established well reviewed location that they would take care of it. After 2 days of them having my phone I get a call saying that the microphone was broken and that it would be another $150 to repair on top of the 150$ screen. Yet they said they would do it for 100 because I was also fixing the screen, trustworthy repair centres don’t usually negotiate their prices. The phone was working fairly well after Getting it back except the noticably different home button clicking awkwardly but I didn’t mind. Around two months later the microphone actually stopped working, couldn’t record audio or make phone calls and the rear camera stabilizer stopped working shaking all the time. I had waited to bring it back as I have a busy schedule. Within the week my phone had dropped around 2 feet and shattered the brittle screen they had replaced it with. When I eventually came in they said their warranty wasn’t liable for physical damage done to the phone no matter what I had said. A very unpleasant customer service when I returned. I would never recommend this place to anyone and urge them to find somewhere else as this place has horrible customer service and run by questionable characters.

I went to techville about 2 months ago to get my cracked screen on my I pad fixed.when I got there they said it would take 3-5 business days.i waited a week and I didn’t get a call.so I decided to go to the store to check on it.when I got there they said they “forgot to register the device into their system” and it would be another 3-5 business days and they would give me w free video game (they are 5$) I waited another 4 days and went to the store a THIRD time they said it was almost done and would be 2 days.i came back 2 days later and FINALY! They were done. I took my I pad and ran as fast as I could.it was working fine until 2 days later where I saw the screen was popping out. So I went back and told them.they told me that they will fix it with probably no charge and they will tell me how much when it was done.i got back 6 days later and it was done.they said it was 60 FREEKING DOLLARS!! So I started telling the that it wasn’t fair because that was covered under the 1 WEEK WARENTY.but they said that it was finished being fixed after the week was over. I completely lost it and started walking away.as I was opening the door to leave the manager told me that I was never allowed in his store again! So that’s how I feel about techville

i never write reviews on anything, but i feel like people have the right to aviod what i had to go through. i sent my phone in for a cracked screen and in the same day they fixed it. great service, the price was relatively reasonable, and it didnt take very long to do. in like 3 days, a portion of the screen stopped working. ok fine, i got it fixed at techville but it wasnt covered by warrenty because there was a blemish on the glass which "proved i dropped the phone". whatever, i got that fixed, and then stated getting software problems. my phone would reboot itself every second so i couldnt even use it. sent it there to get fixed, they fixed it but it did it the same day once. i knew that was a sign that the phone wasnt fixed but i need my phone for my buisness so it is a loss of money on my part if i have to wait a few days for the problem to get fixed. sent it in again when the problem escalated, got it fixed, and several days later, it came back. i made techville rich!! and its my fault! now my phone fries its simcard every week, reboots on a regular basis, doesnt recieve or send calls, and id be lucky to be able to type in my password without having to wait 10 seconds between each letter. okay, now whos fault is it? maybe the phone was just old? no i bout this phone from bestbuy under 2 years ago BRAND NEW. samsung s4. why dont i go in and explain the situation? well because the phone only costs 350$ and iv put nearly 450$ into repairs. its not even worth it. am i angry about this? no, because at this point, im so physically drained that i dont have it in me to be angry. okay techville, please flag this as a fake review cuz thats probably what youre going to do. my phone is about as useful as a paperweight at this point, so thanks again. I dropped my Samsung S4 about 2 weeks ago. A friend recommended Techville and I decided to give a try, even though I've never trusted these independent shops based on other people's experiences. The store was very busy. I counted 6 or 7 employees, and they were all either talking to a customer or working on phones. To me that was a good sign, like when you look inside a restaurant and it's either crowded or empty. In any case, the guy who helped me (Rafael) gave me a reasonable quote and asked me to come back 2 days later. I did, and the phone was working again. These people delivered what they promised and they charged me something reasonable. Rafael even threw in a charging cable for the same price! I really liked their customer service, and I may even try to buy a used phone from them someday, who knows!

Horrible customer service. Do not buy anything from this place. I ordered a workout bench and when I opened the box from China, my bench was punctured from the screws and bolts packaged within. I immediately sent customer service and email advising of this along with pictures of the puncture and never heard back from a single person. I then call customer service at 10am and some guy picks up and tells me that no is around until noon. He got my number and told me someone will contact me and of course....crickets! Not a single call. You're better off ordering Amy of these products from Alibaba as you're going to get ripped off either way.

Techville used to be my go to place whenever something happened to my phone/electronics and they would fix it; however their customer service has gone down so bad that I hate going in there. The last three times I was there they told me they would call me when my product was ready and they never did, so I had to go in myself and ask (they were not helpful through phone) and wasted gas and money. EXTREME LACK of communication!! I bought an iPhone from them last year and experienced so so many problems with it (software, faulty accesories, bugs etc) and every time I went in to get it fixed they were really shady about it and asked for more money. When I got to the store, the laptop was not the one advertised, being a different model number, different (lower) specs, and from last year. Super SCAMMY! Be careful when ordering from this seller, I recently purchased something off Amazon and waited over 6 weeks without any updates. The item originally was marked as “Shipped” on Amazon but when you actually tracked the AWB# on UPS only the label was made. I had followed up just to check on where the progress was with the delivery as 2 weeks prior they told me it would be shipped out which was still not the case. Later in the same day they cancelled my order without any advanced noticed which I thought was a mistake because I still wanted the item.. but the Amazon support rep informed me that I had only been refunded partially and that the seller kept the HST tax.. only after having escalated this did the seller refund me fully but was completely rude in all communications towards me. I would not recommend buying from here if you value - timeliness, good customer service, good communication and follow through.. because this company lacks all of the above.

We asked several times to confirm that they met the given specifications and were assured that they did. Unfortunately all 4 photos have been rejected and returned. We have sent hundreds of customers over to them for repairs and I bring in a laptop valued at 600$ and get low balled at 200$ so these robbers can mark it up 2-300 so they can “have margin” as they say. They will be losing the business of the company I work for as I will no longer be referring customers and will ensure my fellow staff members do not refer either. Take your business elsewhere people. Response to Reply- The fact that you would reply and LIE to people online to try and cover yourselves to SEEM as though you are courteous and polite(your words) is sad- The manager that I spoke to barely said anything to me other than "cant do it" and there was ZERO explaination as to the reasoning behind the price offered other than " we need margins''- The device which you apparently needed to account cost of warranty into still has half a year of MANUFACTURER warranty which would be provided at no cost to your business. - The box had the purchase date right on it. Your manager could not even be bothered to take the device out of the box to see that it was in like new condition with very few battery cycles. My knowledge was diminished and I was made to feel as though I was not valued. The reason this business is successful is because people are desperate to sell and dont take the time to do their research. A FAIR offer would have been in the $300 or so range and marked up to $450-500 - Type up whatever nonsense you want on here but facts are facts.

TRASH. they are trying to charge me an arm and a leg for a mac book repair when i was quoted for much less. They also have taken 3 weeks to repair something that originally was only suppose to take "1-2 weeks at most" NEVER taking anything back here I DO NOT recommend this place. UPDATE: after speaking to the manager about how unhappy I was with my experience he did everything he possibly could to fix any problems I had. He generously knocked off some of the cost of the repair AND added in store credit to apologize for the trouble. Very good management I'm walking away a happy costumer

Every time I have bought a part from them it has not worked. It hasn't even been close to working, some parts were the wrong shape. Z10 back cover, missing ringer speaker. Passport LCD broke each phone they were put in. Emailed customer service, they said I had the wrong version, confirmed this was untrue, emailed them 3 times for follow up and got absolutely no response. Many issues: -instructions out of date, calling for incorrect sizing of tools needed -they did not send enough washers. Had to go to Home Depot and buy more -instructions call for 4 different sizes of bolts and they only sent 2 -straps to support dumbbells are too short and cheap -getting some parts together to assemble the stand required two people. Had to squeeze parts together tightly while my wife worked to put bolts in. Don't see that in assembly instructions Reached out to company. No response. Spend your money elsewhere

After 3 days with no phone call, multiple service check ins, and "it will be finished tonight" answers, I went in and picked up the phone. Upon pickup I noticed a small dent in the top right corner of my phone. The original problem is now worse than it was 3 days ago when I dropped it off. Don't waste your time with these guys.

Staff are friendly but product quality is poor. Purchased tempered glass for my phone. They installed it. Ever since installation the glass makes popping sounds from air being trapped underneath. Eventually glass popped off. I didn't appreciate them asking for a 5 star rating on the spot in exchange for a free product after another staff member said it's free without a rating. $50 down the drain for 2 phones. I didn't even get to keep the boxes from the tempered glass as they threw it out without asking if we wanted to keep them. Did they even use the correct glass for my phone? Seems shady.

whatever you do ... NEVER... bring in an unopened untouched iPhone to these people or any other cell/computer repair shops !!! I brought my iPhone in for a battery problem and it never was properly fixed and came out worse than it did going in . Now apple won't even service it because someone else opened it up and did "Lord knows what " to it. I suspect shady practices in these shops. Apple would have replaced my battery for 79.99 ( a real oem battery which only apple can give you) and the problem would have been fixed or they would have probably given me a new phone (for a fee of course) and took the other one in for recycling . Techville charged me 59.00 ,for a new garbage battery, problem never fixed , had to go in multiple times and now it won't even work and is about as useful as a brick and no one will touch it now, but I can sell it for scrap. The phone was in PRISTINE condition before they touched it (I use a good case to protect it) .They chipped/damaged the outer trim antenna bezel (which looks like multiple times) , trying to pry off the glass screen .Totally unprofessional and unacceptable !!! I went in for a battery repair issue and not to get my iPhone damaged! STAY AWAY FROM THESE LITTLE SHOPS PEOPLE ! !! And no I am not a paid shill by Apple... I am an honest and unknowledgeable consumer like most of us... Go to Apple store right away if you have issues with your iPhones. Trying to save 20.00 landed me in a very bad place and hurt me and my phone , that I no longer have use of and am without a phone and loss of time and money.I thought that I learned a lot of important lessons in life by now. I repeated another mistake and never again ! You get what you pay for . I wouldn't be surprised if they try to flag this as a bogus review (because I see they did this with a few other posts) and I expect the same "canned response" , stuff like, "we aspire and try to make all of our customers happy " or "let us make it up to you". That won't work. I am never going back. The best way to solve the problem is to stay away from the problem.Nothing can replace quality and professionalism, other than more quality and professionalism in any service or product. Honesty is the most important thing of all too.Be honest to your customers and they will trust you and come back. "Never bite the hand that feeds you " If you guessed that I am upset, you are correct . I have a good reason to be. Time is a precious thing in our lives .Its the only thing we cannot make more of. I already wasted enough time writing this. I hope I got my point across and if I can save someone from losing time (and money) I have done something good .

I brought my daughter's iphone 4S for repairing both front and back of screen due to a crack. The service was ok but the worst part was that the new cover is creating a bad effect on all pictures. We tried to changed it three times and no refund was offered. What a waste and bad parts. There are multiple obvious dug out little holes where whoever did the repair clearly struggled to get it open. I can't believe they used the correct pry tool to take it apart because it looks terrible - not at all flat like a pry tool, it looks more like a paper clip was jammed in there 5 different times. The plastic casing around the power socket is now cracked as well. The screen is WAY less responsive than the original. I'll have to get used to it, but every single tap now requires a lot more deliberate intent and focus to get it to register. Anything near the edge takes me 3 tries to get it to even recognize the tap. The display is also much poorer than the factory one. It's slower to respond, the colors are dimmer, and the white is almost yellowish at low brightness settings. Maybe this is as good as it gets for replacement hardware, I don't know. But if I had been warned I'd go elsewhere. Also, don't buy apple care for your iPhone its a ripoff. Would give them zero stars if only that was possible. I am absolutely appalled at their customer services skills and their total lack of respect for the customer. I would never choose this place or its other stores ever again! They put the plastic screen covers and everything over a used phone, selling it as new. Pretty shady operation, I would not do business here.

I brought my phone in to get fixed, as I had cracked my screen, after a year of regular use. I had dropped it(100% my fault). They fixed my phone quickly which was great. (aside from the microphone in the phone not working anymore). Not even one day later, the brand new screen cracked, while the phone was in my side pocket. Didn't drop it.. Didn't sit on it... Nothing. I just happened to pull it out and my screen was again cracked and there were shards of glass everywhere. figuring the glass was probably faulty, I decided to bring it back. They treated me like I was lying to them and had dropped it, and wanted to charge me again a "discounted price" which was still over over 100 dollars. I said I wouldn't pay again. They said if I had a problem, I should "take it up with Nexus". This company doesn't stand behind its repairs. If I would have known this was going to happen I would've taken the initial 140 dollars I spent to fix an old phone, and put it towards new phone. My friend who referred me was shocked, and we will be taking our business elsewhere moving forward. Really not impressed.

Only choose 1 star cause it won't post without choosing one. Honestly believe that staff do not know anything about phones and how to fix them. I went there to get my phone fixed as the screen turned black. They told me that the LCD was broke. Less than 2 months after getting it fixed the screen turned black again. They told me it was not covered under warranty as it was my fault cause they said I dropped it. I know for a fact that I did not drop it. After arguing with them manager offered to fix it for $60. When I got my phone back I was not able to connect to my service. Took them close to a week to figure out how to get service back on my phone. Now less than 2 months later the screen is black again. This time they say its not covered cause it has been damaged by the charger. Really, a Samsung charger is breaking a Samsung phone. Do they even know how phones work. Will not be giving them service and needless to say did not pay them to temporarily fix my phone for 2 months. Unbelievable.

I came in for a simple repair and was quoted $225, without even looking at the device. I challenged the price knowing the price of parts and expected time to complete the work and was met with "how much do you expect it to cost, its a lot more than that just for the part"..... They would not even sell me the part separately. I walked across the road and bought the part for $30 dollars went home and repaired it myself in under 8 minutes. Even if you add the time I spent diagnosing the problem was still an easy fix!

This is my first time writing a review on google for any reason. These guys are robbers. They tried to charge me $180 to fix my bent my iphone 6. First, the guy said that they will need to replace some parts because some pieces are "probably" broken. He did not care to specify which parts. The phone was working perfectly fine, by the way. It was just a little bent. Then I requested that they don't replace anything and just bend it back into shape since there is nothing wrong with the phone. The guy kept asking for $180 regardless because he said that it's a "sophisticated" process. I made sure by asking him if they will charge me $180 even if they don't have to replace anything and he said yes. I walked out calling it a rip off. I hope it was just that one employee I talked to who did not know what he was talking about.

Had a new processor for my PC installed by them. Turnaround time on the work was very good, and the computer runs excellently. However, it took two days for the work to complete, which while acceptable, the cable management looks like it was done as quickly as possible for the sake of speed. If you are going to install something in a computer, and have to disassemble most of it, I would have waited an extra day for proper cable management. There are bundles of cables half of an inch from my CPU cooler, and another cable not far from it.

My phone was shattered and not backed up (nor able to do so) and apple told me I would lose all of my information if I got a screen replacement or new phone so I came to Techville and Alex was a saviour. They were able to back up all of my data by putting on a temporary screen and then put my shattered one back on so I could trade in to apple and still be covered under apple care. Without them I would have lost years of photos and data. They finished all of this within 24 hours and gave me a deal on the screen protector for my new phone. So cost efficient, friendly, accommodating and truly life saving. HIGHLY recommend coming here over apple first especially if you have any needs for data restoration. Alex and his colleagues went above and beyond anything I could have hoped for.

I bought a product there just before the Christmas holiday. It was a new product. The first day of use my wife and I noticed that the battery did not hold a charge. So we tried again to fully charge the battery and give it another shot. The following day, the battery once again died after 10 minutes of use. We took the item back and explained our dilemma. We were very busy over the holiday so we didn't get back to techville for approx 3 weeks. We explained our dilemma and were told that they would not replace it and that we could order another battery for which we would be charged. We would have to leave a 50% deposit in order for them to order the battery. We explained that the battery was like this from the moment we opened the box. And I'm sorry but after 3 weeks a brand new item should still be covered by the retailer. Not sure how this is acceptable, but they somehow think they're not responsible for the products they sell. This is COMPLETELY UNACCEPTABLE customer service! You want to support small business but this is what happens! If this happens at a big box store, it's a hassle free exchange. Update: After leaving this review, they have since called me and rectified the situation. They sent their sincere apologies and asked if I could kindly remove my original review. I quite frankly didn't see a option to do so, but it gave me a choice to add to it. So here I am stating that I am grateful that they rectified the situation. I also believe it shouldn't have come to a review to get it done. I will also state that the day we went back to the store to solve the the problem the first time, there was no manager present at the time. If there were this may have been resolved earlier.

Outdated PC hardware, high prices, most of the staff is full of attitude, fake google reviews as the icing on the cake. One product that was obviously opened/refurbished was being advertised as unopened and brand new. What is even worse is the attitude of the owner when he replies to bad reviews. His store is perfect and his employees can't do no wrong. If you're not happy with the service is because you're dumb, obviously. Also the amount of fake 5 star reviews is ridiculous. There's like 5 reviews in a row saying how amazing "Alex" is, seriously? If you're forcing your customers to write a good Google review before they walk out of the store at least make it less obvious.

Pushed me to buy a new device from them. I wanted a second opinion and found that techville was conveniently located by my work place. UPDATE: an hour after I posted this review the manager Mohammed contacted me to talk about my post. I was impressed that he would follow up, offer to refund the money paid for the battery service and investigate my 'new' vibration problem. Thank you Mohammed for reaching out! BEWARE!!! Took my iphone in for battery replacement. When I dropped it off I had 63% battery life and when I picked it up there was still 63%. Questioned staff about that and was told that the 'new battery' just needed to be charged. After 24 hours discovered the problem had not been addressed - poor battery life was identical to when I left it for service. Took it back and manager told me it was a port issue and repair would cost more than phone was worth - asked if I wanted to purchase a used phone. I refused and immediately took the phone to an authorized Apple dealer who (against Apple policy I suspect) told me that the battery in my phone had been charged 687 times - hmmm that's quite a bit for a 'newly replaced' battery RIGHT??? Returned to store and advised manager of this finding - no explanation offered he just took phone back for 're-servicing. When I picked the phone up 24 hours later the battery showed 100% and has been working fine, although 4 weeks later there is a significant vibration with movement in the phone which I suspect is the battery. So I think it is safe to assume the battery was never replaced on the first visit and the port issue was never a problem. Save yourself some time, money, frustration and go elsewhere!! I sure will be!

The original and tried to charge me $500 to fix a phone screen which is a complete rip-off . Just because I was a small female going in by myself. I had a horrible experience! Dropped off my phone to have the screen fixed they told me to be 2 hours. I came back after work to pick up my phone to have found to have put the broken screen back on my phone it is worse than it was before for them to tell me it needed an extra part but they were unable to name the part that was needed to fix my phone. All they could tell me you that it was an extra $200 but they couldn't at all explain to me why that was needed and then continued to say they needed my phone for the night. I took my phone. I asked for a refund and they tried to charge me for labor. I put up a fight until I got my full refund back. I would not recommend going to this shop unless you plan on being ripped off

The service rep was super friendly and even asked for my name to make sure my order goes out on the same business day. UPS was super fast(next day delivery). Overall really good experience!! However be aware the scooter only comes with a chinese manual, luckily I am fluent in chinese lmao or else i would be scratching my head for hours.

I made a quite expensive purchases from them through eBay and it turned out a very expensive mistake for me. Their staff was friendly and communicative but it ended right after they received money, after that a total silence, no response to my numerous emails. The device stopped working after 4 months but it seems they don't care. So, customers beware, if it something more costly then passport photos there's a good chance you loose your money.

I would not reccomend getting your cell phone repairs completed here. I dropped my phone here on a Saturday morning with a broken screen, a part had to be ordered which created a delay, this I understand. I call them Monday and they tell me about the delay and that my phone will be ready on Wednesday. It is now Wednesday, I do not receive a call from them so I call them back, now they are telling me it will be ready by Friday. I expected to be a few days without my phone but not a full week. I was expecting much better customer service.

I think this whole thing is a scam. I tried changing my battery on my iPhone 6. I looked on google and found this store which claimed to be the number one in GTA. The first time they tried to fool me by doubling the price, then they replaced my phones battery with something that lasted a month. Then I looked on official apple website and found out that this store is not provided with actual apple batteries, so what they gave are fake ones. When I refunded they took the battery back , broke the screw part of the phone so that the screw cannot go in, and did something to glue the original battery to the phone so that it could not be taken out by people from Core 1 (who knew what they are doing), and I had to go there again to have it taken out. All the other 5 stars obviously doesn’t know anything about electronics or are faking it. Update: Now the phone cannot be repaired by Core 1 because it has been modified by a 3rd party. Definitely do NOT go to this store. Now I wasted my time and my phone is useless thanks to Techville, the “best in GTA”.

I've used Techville for 2 repairs (a laptop power jack and an iPad Headphone jack). Both times they estimated 3 or 4 days and the repair ended up taking closer to 2 weeks. The final price was at or above the highest estimate in both cases. They never called to let me know there would be a delay and never called to let me know that the repair was going to cost more than they quoted. In the end, the repairs were fine, the price was reasonable, customer service is lacking, and their estimates are overly optimistic in both time and price.

Total lack of communication and possible shady business practices. I brought my phone in on Monday, they said they would have it diagnosed in 1-2 days. I came in on Tuesday and still nothing, I came in on Friday and the kid behind the counter whom I had spoken to on both previous occasions falsely assumed that he thought they had fixed the problem. Whether it was an outright lie or just a mistake I cannot say, but they told me the LCD was broken and my phones model number was the Sony M2, its actually an XPERIA LZ and that the LCD for the M2 is no longer manufactured in Canada and had to be shipped overseas and would take 1-2 weeks. He tried in the mean time to sell me some cheap Android flip model to use temporarily and that he would later credit me the repair charges. I don't really know what to think, but I brought my phone in to CompuMobil on third line and its working again

STAY AWAY - SCAMMERS & LIARS: ...he said "TECHVILLE IS KNOW FOR BEING SCAMMERS, LIARS, CHEAPSKATES, hiring UNQUALIFIED TECH guy and STEALING Credit Card information from Customers"... This store is a complete scam. I brought in my phone which needed a simple swap of glass due to a crack. They quoted me a price of 280 (steep but fine I agreed) and said it would be ready later that day. I went in at close and they said it was not ready and that they would call me upon completion. After an additional 3 days I went in irate because they did not offer me a loaner phone and I still had not received a call. When I got to the store the inept customer service guy told me that it was ready yesterday but he didn't want to call me because my final total was $415. I literally lost it in the store - he went on about how it was a specific piece of glass they had to special order - which is garbage because I never agreed, or was even told about it. He also said that I was called and said yes! (LIES). Then he wouldn't drop the price at all and I ended up paying it because I needed a phone. NOW to make this store they best - as soon as I got it there was something wrong with it - you could see that the glass was wedged in so tight that it was causing pressure on the glass - the next day I had my phone on the couch and I literally heard a snap and there was a new crack right down the center of the phone. I could not believe it, I went to the store and asked for a replacement piece of glass because the store promised a 90 day warranty. They told me that I had damaged the phone on purpose (LIES) and that there was nothing they could do for unless I wanted to pay the 415 again. I should have called the cops on these SCAMMERS AND THEIVES. I took my phone to another shop - he said "TECHVILLE IS KNOW FOR BEING SCAMMERS, LIARS, CHEAPSKATES, hiring UNQUALIFIED TECH guy and STEALING Credit Card information from Customers". I came into the store for a battery replacement for my phone and was quoted $125 and a 2-3 hour time-frame for it to be replaced (which was fine with me). Upon returning in 3 hours I was told that my original battery was fine, but there was a wiring issue with the charging port which was the reason why my phone battery was draining quickly. They then told me that they've opened up my phone and would give me an "update later tonight", which was unacceptable with me. Their sign/website says that battery replacements take 1 hour and I also did not ask them to investigate further with my phone (as I know that would result in extra labour costs). All I wanted was a new battery. I had a funny feeling that they wanted to charge extra labour hours on this simple battery replacement. I could be wrong, but I had that feeling. After saying I needed my phone for work, all of a sudden they said to come back an hour later, which they changed my battery in my phone, which works great. All in all, I did not have a good experience with Techville and will not be returning. I recommend going to your Apple/Samsung retail store as they are more consistent with their policies and pricing. However, the new battery does work great.

Definitely don't recommend for watch batteries. They charged almost double what a jeweller costs (they give you a range when you drop off, of course they went with the higher price when picked up), and one of them stopped working a week later.

So happy with the service and efficiency of Techville! Every other Macbook certified repair shop I inquired with was charging $200-300 as the flat rate to fix an issue, but Techville fixed it for under $100 in less than a week!! They were super honest with me and what the issues were. Amazing customer service and the most trustworthy place to bring your broken macbook, cannot recommend this place enough!

THE WORST PLACE FOR DATA RECOVERY! They take advantage of the fact that not a lot of people know about tech and try to over charge and put a high price on peoples memories. $600 to replace a HDD and $600 for data recovery! I ended up going to Burlington and getting both done for $320.

Left my phone there 13 days ago and had a couple of cross-checking and updates. At the end, the phone is still rebooting itself and not fixed, and the responsible technician has been slow to respond and constantly not in the store. Why still 4-star, the store is overall honest: they did some work on the mother board and then re-tested and found it is still rebooting (and then no charge). Guess the integrity is No 1 thing in this service and repair biz and I also know the phone's random rebooting can be tough to tackle anyway, based on my own Google search.

I had trouble explaining exactly what cord I needed (HDMI to VGA adapter) but Alex helped me and told me to take pictures if the one I bought didn't work promising to exchange it the next day if it wasn't right. They said it will be next morning before 10 and they have parts for sure ( called them before bringing the phone).Instead of next morning end up being 3 days.On top of that attitude and charge me through the roof.Never again.

I wanted a refund for a product that I didn't open as I had decided it would not serve my needs. I came to find out that they do not have a refund policy. However, after posting a scathing 1-star review, I was contacted by the manager on duty and was finally offered my refund, in return for changing my review. I give 5-stars for actually caring about customer service that much, but have to only give 4 since I had to even do this in the first place. Techville, if you are reading this, you should really consider offering a refund policy for, at the very least, unopened merchandise.

I went to techville in Oakville because of touching screen. They fixed it in that day and then touching is working. However, volume buttons and vibrating controller didn't work after repairing. (My phone is iPhone 5). So I went again and they don't no reason and said it takes $80 to fix them. I can't understand why I pay about that in despite of my faults. + They contected me after that and fix my phone fastly. Besides, they changed new battery and gave a free repair coupon to me. Buying from Techville was a mistake. The product they sold me is not meant for use in Canada. Its manual and labels are in Chinese. Its plug and electrical parts are not designed use with Canadian electrical outlets. I emailed two different TechVille email addresses. Weeks later, neither has responded. Yesterday, I called the store. After the associate offered a partial non-solution (i.e. I buy a plug, they send a voltage converter, I Google Translate the manual), he suggested that I speak with a manager, who would call me back shortly. A day later, I have not received a call. A month in, I have nothing to show for the money (or time) I've given TechVille. I hope this review spares someone else the same experience.

I know how surveys as my job pays on surveys so I will give a 9 because anything under that is usually a fail. I came to techville from previous great experiences but this one was not. I paid in full for a new red back glass and was put through the ringer from all staff members except Mohammed. I kindly asked for my money and was given all in full plus a $50.00 gift card for my inconvenience. It was much appreciated and will still continue to go there just ask more questions before making an investment.

The best way to decontaminate your hands by scrubbing for at least 20 seconds this because hand sanitizer doesn't remove dirt, grease, some chemicals, and several types of germs. HAND SANITIZER ISN'T EFFECTIVE! stop buying it.
